Sandwich cold, staff unfriendly, shop dirty... Unbelievable experience...

The staff were on their phones (in the dining area) and were unfriendly. Unfortunately, it wasn't good value for money in my opinion; I would have paid €5 less for the same sub seven months ago.

If I could, I'd give zero stars. I've rarely been so disappointed and angry. I was truly shocked by this Subway in Hanover. I go to Subway often and know exactly what the prices are usually like, and what happened here surpassed everything. The prices aren't just a little higher… they're unbelievably exorbitant. I was only told at the register that I had to pay an extra €5 just because I wanted to eat in. Not before, not when ordering – only then. I specifically asked why it was so extremely expensive, and yet this information was withheld from me until the very end. That just feels completely unfair and customer-unfriendly. The employees seemed consistently annoyed, cold, and unfriendly. No smiles, no explanations, no effort. I felt like a burden, not a customer. But the worst thing was the hygiene. I was honestly speechless. One of the restrooms was so filthy that I almost felt sick – visible feces on the toilet and on the floor. I never expected to see something like this in a restaurant. The rest of the branch also looked neglected and unhygienic. I've rarely left a restaurant so disappointed. This Subway is a disaster. I can only hope that things change quickly, because no customer should have to put up with this.

I've never had such an experience at Subway before. The whole-wheat bread was cold, even though it had been warmed up shortly before. And parts of it were still raw. The vegan teriyaki was equally cold and awful. I've rarely encountered such incompetent staff. The salad was very sparsely topped, even though I only wanted a green salad.

Subway always provides excellent service! Madhu and Amir are friendly and efficient. I truly appreciate their professionalism. Fresh food, fast service, and friendly faces; you couldn't ask for more!

I wanted to grab something to eat late in the evening after exercising, and it was exactly what I needed. The staff (Madhu and Amr) were super friendly, and the food tasted great.

The team on November 9th was incredibly incompetent, slow, practically did nothing on the sub, and had such bored expressions – simply outrageous.

The food there is very delicious. There's a great selection; I can highly recommend it.

The food they serve there is pretty good. Especially if you're really hungry, you can quickly pop into Subway and choose something. A regular sub costs around 10 euros, which is perfectly reasonable. The location is also quite nice; it's in the city, but that's not a problem. The service is good too, and the staff were friendly.

Very rude employees. Instead of German, the Asian staff spoke to me in English, but he spoke to the next customer with blond hair in German! No wonder the store was empty...

Absolutely outrageous. The waitress didn't understand me (language barrier) and refused to give me valid coupons, even though I had already redeemed ones there. The coupon was valid until October 31, 2025, but apparently not for them. The coupons worked without any problems in Paderborn and Hamburg.

This place doesn't even deserve one star! I ordered a vegetarian half sub about a week ago and it was absolutely inedible! The bread was completely dry, as if it were several days old, and the sauce tasted expired and was slightly flaky on the tongue. There were also pieces of meat on the Gouda cheese at the counter, and when I asked if I could have Gouda cheese on my sub, but preferably without meat, an employee said, "I don't know if the cheese is vegetarian, but it's American cheese." Also, the pickles at the counter looked like they had been frozen, were very soggy, and tasted horrible. Overall, it was awful, unhygienic, and the staff were extremely ignorant. Absolutely not recommended and not worth a visit!

The Tandoori Chicken was lovely, and it's the first Subway I have ever been to, that includes Guacamole as a filling option. Really enjoyed it!

The staff was very friendly and in a good mood. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, there was a construction site right outside, but otherwise, it was great.

The Italian bread is probably several days or even weeks old. Very, very dry. I was actually really looking forward to it, but I only took two bites.

One of the worse subways in Hanover I've often had very bad subs that were far too dry or poorly filled.

Unfortunately, the bread was completely dry, the vegetables were no longer fresh, and they were extremely skimping on toppings. After baking, my bread sat for ages without any toppings. When I asked, they didn't toast it again; instead, I was yelled at. So everything was cold when I received it. Overall, it was a very unfriendly and unhygienic place. It's a shame; I once gave this place 4 stars.

I can hardly believe it, I was there today with my girlfriend who urgently needed to go to the toilet and we were forced to go to the toilet to make an emergency call that you first have to place an order before you are allowed to use the toilet. So for me, the worst thing the subway will never see us again

Tastes good but it always depends on the employee currently working how the service is.

The sandwiches were really good and plentiful, no complaints about the quality, and the place itself was clean. However, €28 for two 30cm teriyaki chicken sandwiches and two drinks seems excessive. Furthermore, the bathrooms were in terrible condition: dirty and vandalized. A little more attention to hygiene wouldn't hurt. It's a shame, because with a little more attention, the experience would have been much better.

The coupons that are sent by mail every week never arrive – instead, you're inundated with advertisements. Furthermore, there's almost never any meat to choose from on the daily menu.

Since ordering via terminal has been introduced, I won't be using that name again. I don't want to wait half an hour for an order.

SIMPLY CRAP! We went there and got two half subs with no extra toppings and had to pay €24, which is how much you pay for two whole ones. What a disgrace!!! The service was simply disrespectful.

I wanted to redeem the coupons. Apparently, the store isn't participating. According to the website, they are participating.

Food was quite okay, no one understood anything when ordering because of the 5cm thick glass panes during corona time, through which not a single sound comes through. In addition, every single table was dirty.

The woman was on the phone the whole time and wanted to get the order through quickly so that she could continue talking on the phone and simply ignored me when I asked what I wanted and that's why I didn't order anything. Isn't that possible? It was there to work or make phone calls?

I arrived at 10:42pm, according to Google the restaurant should be open until 11pm. However, the entrance was already blocked with an advertising sign and everything seemed to have already been cleaned. Even though there were two guests inside and obviously still eating, I was refused entry. Very disappointing, especially if you rely on the stated opening time.

I have recently ordered a ham and bacon sub. It smelled and looked off and a tasted bad. The meat seemed out of date. The dining area was unclean towards the evening. The servers there were polite and nice and helpful. Wouldn’t recommend it here

I ordered a simple 15cm sandwich today and was overcharged by €1. When I pointed it out, it was brushed off as if I had no idea - no accommodation, no understanding. Even worse: The employees spoke neither German nor English properly, which made communication completely frustrating. Incompetence coupled with rudeness – that was my last visit to this branch. Absolutely disappointing.

If you like it as dirty as I do, this is the place for you. It was delicious, that's the most important thing, but unfortunately I can't list anything else as positive.

Was in your branch on January 20, 2025 around 9:30-9:35 p.m. Was ignored and after 2 minutes of silence When I asked if I could order, the lady at the counter calmly processed my Uber Eats order. The colleague who was cleaning behind the lady didn't react at all. Teach your employees politeness and how to deal with customers. All the best to you!

Learn first how to make the sub. Very bad packaging, im vegetarian and he is making sub with same hand gloves which he used for beef and chicken. No hygiene. Please don’t do it, don’t spoil someones faith and religion. Follow standard procedure pf subway, and dont cut sub with all the knife there are special knife for veg and non veg

Ordering was difficult. Despite ordering multiple times, the wrong coverings were applied. The takeaway order was prepared to eat in, despite asking three times. Overall poor service, the product was fine.

I got food poisoning on Saturday, the meat was old, the gloves weren't changed, even after the cashier used a dirty rag, the food was touched afterwards. I've never felt so bad

The first and last time we got something to eat here. I pre-ordered via the app so I can pick it up quickly and on time so I can catch my train. Despite pre-ordering, I had to wait forever until someone took care of me. There were two ladies there. One prepared the guests' subs and the other stood at the cash register and did something at the cash register. I don't know if it was the manager or something, but I was ignored and left standing there for a while. Then after about 3 minutes the lady said what I wanted. Yes, what...pick up my order. Then I got it too. Unfortunately, I was only able to check at home whether everything was complete. Unfortunately it wasn't. I had a sub as a menu (drink plus 1x cookie) and 3 additional cookies. Unfortunately I only got 3 cookies. Unfortunately the sub wasn't that good either. Apparently the bread was toasted for too long. It was sometimes very, very dark and really hard... I don't know that from other branches. I won't go here again.

Food is bad for a Subway, but overall still okay. The price of €5.49 for a poorly filled half sub of the day is cheeky.

There were 3 bucks in the place, the service was bad and it was the worst experience I've ever had.

I went to the store 3 hours before closing time to order something. When I came in I was asked if I wanted to order something to eat because they were going to clean up first. That would take about 20 minutes, then they could eat again. When I asked why this was done in the middle of ongoing operations, I was told that otherwise it would have to be done in the evening after business hours and the employees wouldn't want to do it.

Bread was burnt, shop not clean, toilet dirty, employees unfriendly and disorganized. Bread super unevenly topped. I'm not coming back.

The employee on August 19th and the employee around 6:30 p.m. didn't communicate with each other, let alone ask you what you wanted. The tables were so disgustingly dirty. Terrible! The gentleman with glasses wears gloves but for what? If you brush your face with it then you cash in and touch the money and then use it to finish off the sub. Simply disgusting. In addition, the store is dirty from front to back. Whether floor, tables, chair or bench. My sub, the current offering Nacho Classic, the bread was so dry and hard. No wonder if you leave it in the oven for ages and then serve the next guests!!!

This business is a disaster Employees do not communicate with each other and then the customer has to pay an extra price if the food is prepared incorrectly, goodwill and admitting their own mistakes are zero. In addition, the store is quite unclean, other branches are much cleaner.

The store was mostly empty and still super unhygienic. How can it be that even though there is no one in the store, every single table is covered in crumbs or smeared? What does it look like when there's a lot going on? There were also 3 employees there, one of them could have wiped the tables. The bread was also completely dry, which is different from other Subway branches. If anyone wants to eat at Subway here, I recommend the branch on Berliner Allee, it's worlds better.

This one employee (forgot to ask his name) with his hat backwards spoke perfect English and made an amazing sandwich

An absolute disaster. I went there at lunchtime! The shop was empty. There were 2 employees and I think the branch management behind the counter. They talked and I was allowed to stand there for at least 5 minutes until you were finished talking. One employee was an intern! He just did what he wanted, I said wholemeal bread, he used cheese oregano, etc. There was a lot of savings on the side dishes. Everyone is very rude and unfortunately I put my hand on the counter and now it sticks. I do not recommend this store under any circumstances. Everyone was quite unfriendly, even the management, who complained because I paid with a €50 note...

The two of them were behind the counter. While one works at a snail's pace, the other does nothing. Really nothing...and when I wanted to order I had to stand a few cm to the left. Thought I would be served. Nope. The only thing he does: just look stupid. Honest. The manager of the store treated the presumably relatively new employee in a completely unfriendly manner, putting him under even more stress. He had a few questions/difficulties when registering and paying and she got very annoyed and turned on him. The sub wasn't particularly good either.

Although there was an exclusive coupon in the app for a free 15cm sub, the “manager” wanted to tell me that I had to buy a 30cm sub and would get 50% off 😂 when I showed her the coupon several times plus the associated guidelines that said “ 15cm sub for free after free choice” she continued to insist that it was supposedly in the guidelines that I had to buy a 30cm sub to get a 50% discount 😂 she called her superior who told me the same thing as she did in very bad German 😂 apparently Both of them missed the job and had no idea what they were doing, after a long discussion the manager agreed to accept the order and type it into the cash register and lo and behold, the 15cm sub was free and in the app It also says there was neither an apology nor compensation, miserable staff. Apart from that, I eat at Sub Way at least three times a month, my expectations are very low, otherwise you wouldn't dine in such an establishment, but the food I was served is bottom drawer.

Staff is unfriendly and not exactly competent. Assign subs incorrectly because they swap them. They don't understand you properly and become unfriendly if you have to repeat yourself several times. Hygiene seems to be a priority here, the knife used to cut the subs is full of sauce from who knows how much previous subs and apparently isn't even cleaned. By far the WORST service I have ever met in my life. There was absolutely nothing going on, the store was empty, and she cheekily said that I had to hurry up with the selection because she didn't feel like letting me choose something quickly, so I told my friend on the phone what was available. Then I told him there were ribs, and she said “ribs?” and at the same moment put them on the bread, even before I could say that there shouldn’t be any ribs on there. (I understand that it's actually better not to place an order with a phone to your ear, but because the store was completely empty, I thought it couldn't be that bad). In the end, the woman at the counter just put whatever she wanted on the bread and after I wanted cheddar for my sub, she said “yes, I’ll put it on the other one now too,” but there was supposed to be something completely different on it. Before I could explain to my friend on the phone that the woman had completely messed up his sandwich, it was already in the oven and the lovely lady just cheekily said to me, yes, you can't do it over the phone, you have to order faster. Uh, what? The whole principle of Subway is that you can top your sandwiches with anything you want. And I already tried to hurry up because I wanted to announce two orders. She looked annoyed the whole time and as soon as the sub was out of the oven she quickly put sauce on it and immediately disappeared to the back so that I was allowed to pay for the nice guy who didn't speak German very well. I've rarely seen such an unsympathetic person, this woman made me so angry. I would have preferred not to pay for the second sub. And that's what I'll do next time something like that happens. Then I would rather leave the store instead of letting the lovely woman waste food from Subway. Don't get me wrong, I understand having a bad day, but people who work in service should still be able to be nice to their customers, especially when the store is empty and there are at least 2 people on staff. I work in the catering industry myself and know that, so I know exactly that this woman had no reasons at all for her actions.

The dirtiest Subway store I've ever eaten at. Crumbs and chunks of lettuce everywhere. The tables stick like little children's hands... The staff had nothing to do for a long time but they didn't clean during that time.

Serious is different. Today three guys who looked like they were from the mafia marched past us in line with the sentence “we work here” but without a Subway shirt. We were at Subway for probably 30 minutes and during that time they only briefly fiddled with the cash register and stopped the young man who was actually working from working. Were you slapping him on the back too hard the whole time and saying “we’re proud of you” like 15 times or so? The young man also found this visibly unpleasant and was certainly not a friend of them. And we have never waited so long for a sandwich (7 people in front of us, waited 30 minutes).

I come here often, whenever I have to change trains in Hanover on an important business trip. The staff are polite and quick, the bread is very crusty. There are even power outlets where I could charge my iPhone. Sent from my iPhone
