Incredibly delicious food. The staff makes you feel like you're eating at a friend's house. We'll definitely be back!

We were here on November 14, 2025, and unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the ambiance and the attractive menu. It was our first time there, and while the premises are pleasant enough, almost everything looks clean (the lamps could use a dusting on the walls and ceilings). The menu looks nice, and the prices suggest good food. However, the kale with potatoes and sausage we ordered was disappointing. To me, everything looked like it had been prepared in a bucket and frozen. The quick service only reinforced this suspicion. The kale was mushy and tasted bland, the sausage had metal staples on both sides, and the small, round fried potatoes (or were they supposed to be boiled potatoes?) hadn't been cooked for very long. The "homemade" lemonade still had the concentrate (syrup) at the bottom of the glass. In my opinion, the prices don't match the quality of the food, and therefore I cannot recommend this restaurant.

It's a true family business, and you can tell immediately: the service is exceptionally attentive, warm, and professional. ❤️ The quality of the food is consistently top-notch. Perfectly aged steaks, excellent side dishes, and a cuisine that impresses every time. Many people know Kampe – but its quality is still underrated in Hanover. If you're looking for a reliable location for business meetings where the ambiance, service, and food are all excellent: we highly recommend it. For us, it's number one in Hanover.

I stopped for work, an agricultural fair. To be in Germany, as an Italian, the meat was well-cooked, good and excellent quality, the beer was delicious, we're in Germany, the dessert was superb, well done... In fact, we're going back tomorrow.

We had reserved a table and encountered traffic on the way there. We called, and they responded very kindly. They told us to drive carefully and that they would wait for us. The staff was extremely friendly, the drinks and food arrived very quickly, and all our requests were taken into account. The food was delicious, and the meat was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

I've been to Steakhouse Kampe a few times, and every time it's been really good. The steaks are cooked to perfection, juicy, and exactly as you order them. No gimmicks, no show—just good meat, properly prepared. The sides are also perfect, the fried potatoes are particularly excellent. What I like is the atmosphere. Rustic but cozy, you immediately feel at home. The service is friendly and attentive, but not intrusive, which I really appreciate. The price is a bit higher than at a regular restaurant, of course, but it's absolutely justified here. For me, this is one of the most reliable restaurants in Hanover if you want a really good steak. You just know what you're getting—quality and heart and soul, not trendy stuff.

Unfortunately, drinks take a long time to arrive, and the portions are modest for the price. But the quality is very good.

I was here for a birthday with my family; there were 13 of us. The service was super friendly and did a great job, very personable! The food was ordered a la carte and served very promptly and was truly outstanding! I really enjoyed everything. I particularly like the mushrooms on the appetizer platter and the Madeira sauce! I had the "Gourmet Plate" and can highly recommend it! I'd love to go back 🤗

During an extended stay in Hanover, we spontaneously discovered this restaurant. We liked the ambiance. Everything was tidy and modern. The waitress was friendly, answered questions knowledgeably, and took our orders quickly and accurately. The food was prepared to perfection, as requested. The price/performance ratio was reasonable. A visit to Steakhaus Kampe is always a pleasure. Upon entering, you are greeted by attentive and very friendly service. I particularly enjoyed the small appetizers: warm, fresh bread with a variety of dips – a perfect start. The cuisine is consistently excellent. The ribs are superbly prepared, juicy, and full of flavor, and the steaks are grilled to perfection – just as you would expect from a good steakhouse. My favorite dish here is Palmito. It's pork medallions with sambal sauce, hearts of palm, and hash browns. The staff is friendly and reliable.

The food and drinks were very expensive, but plentiful. A special menu featured dishes with fresh chanterelle mushrooms. Unfortunately, our desired wine was out of stock, as was our appetizer. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Truly great food and great service! We spontaneously popped in with five people because I was craving spare ribs, and we didn't regret it for a second. A very warm welcome and fantastic food; in addition to the spare ribs, we had two lumberjack steaks and two schnitzels! Everything was delicious and plentiful. Fair prices, too. A few weeks ago, we visited Steakhaus Kampe for lunch. The restaurant is bright and decorated with appealing colors. I was immediately impressed upon entering. The server greeted us very warmly! We ate almost all of the ribs; they were just as delicious as they were years ago. And that sour cream! Delicious! We highly recommend this steakhouse; it's a lovely atmosphere, delicious food, and good drinks. Excellent service 💝

Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere

Search search on Google road from Berlin to Amsterdam. This was just open on Tuesday and during lunch. A short drive from the exit and definitely worth it; for meat lovers a paradise, but also the vegetarian we had with us was happy. For me personally I enjoyed the cutlery, the beautiful glasses, the excellent wine list and of course the food…. For everyone who gets stressed and doesn't want Mac Donalds…. Beautiful terrace; sun and shade available, nice service and delicious food!

Our regular place for perfect steaks in Hanover! We come to Kampe every two weeks – with friends, business partners or family – and are thrilled every time. The steaks are absolutely top class: juicy, grilled to perfection and of the best quality. You can taste that real craftsmanship is at work here. We particularly appreciate the warm, personal atmosphere - father and son run the steakhouse with real passion and give every visit something special. For us the best steakhouse in Hanover!

We were in Hanover on business for the trade fair, I was there alone and then again two days later with 6 people. Both the service and the food are outstanding and I have to have the recipe for this green pepper dip, it's to die for!

My first visit to a steakhouse, and certainly not the last. A large selection, especially for meat lovers, from various cuts of beef to ribs—everything your heart desires. Vegetarians are also catered for. Plus, friendly and attentive service and a cozy atmosphere.

On a Saturday shortly before 6:00 p.m., we got a table for 1 person without a reservation. The service is great, friendly, fast (despite a large group in the next room) and very accommodating. The food was very good. The bread as a greeting from the kitchen is crispy and fresh. I had beef fillet medium. The meat was grilled to perfection and very tender. The sour cream is homemade and with a touch of spiciness. Price/performance ratio appropriate for the excellent food. My conclusion, I would like to come back.

We've been coming here every now and then for about 20 years. All dishes are highly recommended. The staff and the junior manager are all always nice and polite. We have never had a bad experience here as far as service is concerned. And if you like steak, this is the place for you. As a starter to the main course there is always fresh bread and three different spreads. The lard is perfect. As soon as I write this I feel like going there again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Steakhouse Kampel restaurant! The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our food was of the highest quality, perfectly prepared and a real highlight in terms of taste. We were particularly impressed by the selection of first-class steaks and ribs as well as side dishes. Special requests were also not an issue. The atmosphere was pleasant and allowed us to enjoy the evening to the fullest. We are more than satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Competent service and decent food were the positive cornerstones of our visit. The chicken wings as a starter were great, only the dip should have been in a bowl and not flat on the plate. There are a few minor restrictions on the other dishes. But overall good. So the American-style spare ribs were well cooked and edible, although they tasted more boiled than grilled. This was also due to the lack of smoke aroma and the sparing use of spices; the country potatoes were no longer crispy. The Zurich Geschnetzelte was made with good meat, but the typical ingredients of pearl onions and gherkins were missing. This makes it a bit powerful but still good.

Ate and drank well here. Service was very friendly. The atmosphere could be more comfortable. Parking situation is really difficult.

The furnishings are rustic and cozy. The guest room and the toilets are very clean. The service is attentive, friendly, fast. The waiting time for the food is reasonable. Cooking point is perfect. The taste is excellent. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. If you want to find the fly in the soup, then you could complain about the somewhat thin crust on the Creme Brulee, which otherwise couldn't keep up with the quality and taste of the other dishes. Absolute recommendation, we would love to come back.

We were guests at Steakhouse Kampe for the first time and we were thrilled. The food (2x rump steak medium) was sensational, cooked to perfection. The herb butter, bread and side dishes were also super tasty. The service was top and very accommodating. The atmosphere was very cozy and invites you to linger. Great value for money for us. We can only recommend it and will definitely come back.

I was there last night with my husband and sister; we had reserved a table in advance. At the front door we happened to be greeted very humorously and kindly by the owner. When we were in the restaurant, the waitress immediately greeted us politely and assigned us to our table. Our order was taken very quickly. Beforehand we received a great starter and a good wine recommendation. We received our dishes within 25 minutes. Everything was super tasty, warm and the perfect amount. I had dates and mushrooms in garlic oil today... so delicious👍 the shop was really well attended on both visits and we did NOT have to wait long either time. It's really rare to experience that. I was here for the first time today and I have to say... I wasn't disappointed. The team was super friendly and very accommodating. I had a steak with a baked potato and I have to say I have rarely eaten a steak that was fried so perfectly. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, modern and yet cozy. After a nice little chat with one of the bosses, I wasn't overwhelmed by the bill. All in all, a great restaurant that I would happily recommend.

We spontaneously went there in the evening during the week and got a table outside without any problems. Despite the street, it was very quiet and it was easy to sit outside. The service is very nice and the food is really tasty. Next to the restaurant there is a small parking lot for guests, otherwise you have to look for parking in the surrounding streets.

Good food, nice ambience, good service

We had dinner at Steakhaus Kampe last night during a stopover in Hanover and were thrilled by the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the service staff. As a starter we had olives and Pimentos di Padron, which was a very tasty start to the evening. The main courses (rump steak with potato wedges and gourmet plate) also left nothing to be desired. The meat was tender and cooked to medium rare. All in all, we were completely impressed by Steakhaus Kampe and if we are in the area again, we will definitely stop there again.

The food was really very tasty. The service is also really very good. The ambience is ok, a bit old fashioned. The prices are completely reasonable. The location is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth a visit.
