Sorry, one of the worst steaks I've ever eaten. Seasonal menu with mushrooms and rum steak chosen. Of the supposed three species of mushrooms, I only found one. After complaining, there was no answer or apology. Unfortunately the meat wasn't good either.

Great steakhouse. Nice atmosphere. Very good staff. With a small outdoor terrace. We'd love to come back. The steak was cooked to perfection. I can only recommend this steakhouse. We'd love to come back. Thank you for this experience.

1. Dishes are very old, glasses are scratched. Everything is no longer beautiful. 2. The food wasn't worth the price. Carelessly prepared and served. The side dishes are a joke. Food generally has little taste. Cream sauce in the mushroom pan was from the bag. 3. Salad was good. - but that's also a standard that everyone can do... nothing special. 4. The waiter was unfortunately very inattentive. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink or how it tasted. We had to wait forever until he noticed us and we could pay. 5. Toilet was clean. ;) 6. Fries were out - or fryer was broken.

Very good service. I have rarely received friendlier or better service. The food is good and expensive, as you would expect from the chain. Everyone has to know for themselves whether it's worth it. You can definitely get better food for a cheaper price. Still definitely recommended for me.

How much can you go wrong with the Block House tradition? The menu is stable and has grown accordingly in euros according to everyone else, the portions are also getting smaller, I can compare this well with the fitness pan, which I last ate probably 5-6 years ago! I can still say: Consistent, very good quality. For my taste, I miss the Diet Coke, don't smile, there is only Coke Zero. As always, the food is served to the table promptly and you can be completely satisfied with the service.

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly, rib eye was sold out, the actual reason for our visit. The baked potatoes were warmed up and soggy, so we left half of them. The quality of the meat was okay, but no longer hot when served, service was very attentive and friendly as always.

Restaurant is centrally located but quiet. Lots of outdoor space on the pedestrian zone. Quality of the food like in all B.H. restaurants. BUT: Steak was only cooked to the desired cooking point after the complaint and fries were no longer warm. Service staff mostly attentive and friendly.

Simply great. The service was very courteous and friendly. The food (new york cheese burger + steak) was super tasty. The restaurant has a small but more than sufficient selection of food as well as a plentiful variety of drinks. My favorite is the passion fruit spritzer. Not too expensive but not cheap either. We will come back in any case.

Excellent price quality and service

I'm totally thrilled. We ended up here by chance and I didn't want to because I didn't feel like eating meat and was very impressed by the new selection of vegetarian dishes. I think everyone will find something there :) the atmosphere was also very relaxed, the restaurant is also very clean and the employees were very friendly. We will be back!

Of course, a restaurant in a fairly central location either has to have good seating or the prices are high to cover the cost of existence alone, which is why I deduct a point for the ambience. But since the prices are right, the number of places is taken into account. But overall it doesn't seem overloaded but rather harmoniously furnished. The food meets the higher expectations and the service is professional.

Basically everything was fine until we got to the payment. When paying, the waiter, as he said, “rounded up” without asking and wanted to charge us that amount. When we asked why he did that and pointed out that we found it a bit unfriendly, we were loudly complained about in front of everyone. The only unfriendly thing we see here is because we wouldn't tip… That is not how it works! Far from the fact that we planned to give tips in cash. That didn't happen anymore. Just when we thought this nightmare was over, the waiter came back with the receipt and reiterated how rude we were being. We were not said goodbye and were more or less thrown out. I have never experienced something like that. I will not visit this store again.

Minimal location, not too refined, but with a large number of seats. Obviously specific menu on meat, the dish of which fully convinced me (very good meat and perfect cooking). However, I was less convinced by the dessert (waffle), which was a little too mangy. Correct service; Worth noting is the waitress' willingness to bring a small present to our diner who was celebrating his birthday. Price a little too high compared to the quality offered.

Best steak I have ever had in Germany! The filet miñon was so delicious, I have been twice during my trip, the first time I got it with the baked potato and the second time with the fries, both amazing! Get the garlic butter and sour cream. So delicious, the service was amazing both times!!! They are also well aware of allergies!

I ate it medium (about Korean medium rare). The meat is tender, the salad is delicious, and the garlic baguette that comes with it is also delicious.

We were there on Saturday. A few years ago I went to the Block House in Hamburg a lot and was now extremely disappointed. I have never eaten such a bad carpaccio in my life, the appearance alone wasn't even mediocre, I'm used to other things at the same or cheaper price. The 250 gram fillet steak tasted good, but no emphasis was placed on appearance here either, although I also suspect that it wasn't 250 grams. After we paid and told the waiter our shortcomings, he wasn't surprised because he apparently hears this often. Really very disappointing and this was probably the last time we'll see Block House. Maybe all the people who give positive reviews here should go to The Ash or Timberjacks because you get a great atmosphere, great food and you definitely won't be disappointed

I've never eaten worse. It was totally disappointing and the prices were outrageous. The waiter was very friendly. When I paid, I told him that it was one of the worst carpaccio I've ever eaten and that I wasn't full from the starter and main course. I think based on his reaction, he hears something like that often! Block House never again!!!

Blockhouse is always worth a visit. The meat was of the best quality and was cooked to perfection...just as I ordered it. The salad is always crisp and fresh. Reordering dressing or sour cream... no problem either.

There's nowhere good to eat lately. Everything is overpriced, not of good quality and bad-tempered waiters*. I have to give the waiter credit for saying "Thank you" over and over again. As for the food I ordered: the tomatoes in the salad were old, the meat was peppered way too much, had barely any salt, was tough and had no flavor. If you can't get good meat at a steakhouse, why pay so much money?! Unfortunately, many cafes/restaurants don't deserve the rating they receive and like many other things, it's just hype. People go there, but it's hard to understand. There is no standard anymore. Mediocrity is everywhere.

It was once again a celebration to be there as a guest. We were served by Renzo, Lena, Martina and Ying Ying. The service was excellent, very friendly and helpful, even with my special requests. So in short, great service. The steaks were once again incredibly delicious, grilled to perfection just as we ordered them. The salad and side dishes were also very tasty. Also a big compliment to the kitchen.

We were in a group for dinner without a reservation. That wasn't a problem and we got a table. The lady who served us was very nice. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the other employees. It seemed very stressful and restless to us guests. The tone among each other was not very friendly. The price-performance ratio is not adjusted. The portions are far too small for the money (I know, the standard answer that it will be checked regularly will come)... after visiting the restaurant we ate a bite elsewhere. .. 4 women were simply still hungry. Soft fries are slapped onto the plate and the meat is added... very careless and simple... My meat was not medium, but very well done. When I asked, they just said that I should have eaten faster (from the waiter, who seemed so unfriendly anyway). Unfortunately the Coleslow salad doesn't taste good at all. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to it. The pasta dishes are also very clear. What I found nice was the presentation of the spritzer drinks. These are served in a small carafe. I come from the catering industry myself. I know how stressful it can be. Maybe we should work on getting along with each other again. We won't come again.

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal

Seit 16 Jahren gehe ich nun schon regelmäßig zum Blockhouse in Hannover. Dabei wechselt der Standort meist zwischen Kröpcke und Aegidientorplatz. Gestern waren jedoch beide Restaurants komplett ausgefüllt, sodass meine Partnerin und ich spontan zum Blockhouse am Thielenplatz gingen. Um es direkt auf den Punkt zu bringen: Als wir ankamen, wurden wir mit dem Hinweis begrüßt, dass alle Plätze belegt seien und wir später wieder kommen sollen (obwohl im Vergleich zu den anderen Läden der Eingang bis auf uns leer war). Jedoch lief gerade ein Paar an uns vorbei zum Ausgang und so sprach ich die Empfangsdame freundlich erneut an und fragte, ob denn deren Tisch vielleicht frei sei. Darauf hin erwiderte sie "lassen sie mich bitte meinen Job machen" und bat uns einen Platz an der Bar an. Wenig später sprach ich den Kellner an, der den Tisch des Pärchens abräumte und er meinte, dieser frei sei. Darauf hin platzierte er uns an den Tisch. Der Kellner (Herr mit kurzen, dunklen Haaren) war so im Stress, dass wir keine Bestellung oder Wunsch zu Ende aussprechen konnten, ohne dass er schon wieder über alle Berge war. Er musste deshalb öfters doppelt laufen, anstatt einmal richtig zuzuhören. Das passierte mehrmals. Dann räumte er das Essen ab, ohne zu fragen, ob alles recht war und verschwand direkt, ohne das man ihm Feedback geben konnte. Denn beim Hauptgang meiner Partnerin fehlten bei den drei Klassikern das Brot und die Champignons. Ebenfalls war mein Rumpsteak rare, statt Medium. Als der Kellner dann die Nachspeisekarte brachte, habe ich ihn schnell darauf hingewiesen, bevor er wieder verschwand. Immerhin gab es als "Entschädigung" eine Kugel Eis für meine Freundin auf's Haus. Entschuldigt wurde sich dafür jedoch nicht. Nachdem wir dann bezahlt hatten, verschwand er auch schon direkt wieder, ohne sich zu bedanken oder sich zu verabschieden. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich selten Rezensionen abgebe und in den anderen Blockhouse-Fillialen nahezu immer zufrieden war. Hier stimmt jedoch einiges nicht. Das Personal war angesichts des vollen Restaurants völlig überfordert und angespannt, verlor dabei schnell die Professionalität, was sehr schade war. Das Thema "korrekte Garstufen" hatte ich bisher nur im Thielenplatz, jedoch nicht bei den anderen Fillialen. Insgesamt haben wir uns hier leider nicht gut aufgehoben gefühlt und bevorzugen daher zukünftig wieder die Besuche in den anderen Fillialen vom Blockhouse. -

Die Steaks waren hervorragend! Besonders das American Tenderloin war ausgezeichnet zubereitet. Wie kommen wieder!

Wie immer toll. Ist einfach immer was Schönes und wir gehen zu jedem Geburtstag, Weihnachtsfeier, etc da hin.

Wir sind öfters nach der Arbeit dort essen oder auch in der Pause. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, leider nicht immer Platz zur Verfügung.Was ich unbedingt erwähnen muss auch im Namen meiner Kolleginnen der Maik eine super nette, freundliche kompetente Bedienung, ganz lieben Dank noch mal an ihn.

Ich bin seid vielen Jahren Blockhaus Kunde,und gehe oft in das Blockhaus am Aegi. Aber leider mache ich die schlechtesten Erfahrungen immer in dem gleichen Blockhaus. Ich war ca.20 mal in dem Restaurant am Aegi und 2 mal habe ich das Steak reklamiert, und 2 mal kam die Frau Restaurant Leiterin und fing mit mir an zu diskutieren was ich gegen das Steak habe. Sowas unfreundliches und dann noch laut zu werden. Es war mir total unangenehm schade das so ein Restaurant mit so einem Status solche Führungskräfte hat. In Zukunft werde ich dieses Blockhaus meiden.

Ich war heute das erste Mal dort. Ich wurde super lieb empfangen. Martina macht einen super Job. Sehr lieb und zuvorkommend. Sie erklärte mir alles ganz genau. Ich fand es witzig wie sie mich einhakte und zum Tisch begleitete. Sehr nettes und lustiges Personal. Immer wieder gerne :)

Tolles Erlebnis heute dort gehabt. Keine Züge fuhren und wir entschieden uns spontan in einer größeren Gruppe dort zu essen. Einen Anruf später wurde es möglich gemacht, wir bekamen einen gemeinsamen Tisch. Die Karte war für alle ausreichend, sogar Vegetarier wurden fündig. Der Service war exzellent, den Bedürfnissen angemessen und situativ passend. Sogar die Wärmflasche einer Kollegin wurde gefüllt. Vielen Dank für dieses positive Erlebnis von Service, davon hatten wir heute echt zu wenig.

Service sehr gut.Man muß etwas Zeit mitbringen. Dafür ist das Essen sehr gut.

Ich war zufällig in Hannover und habe das Block House besucht. Service war schnell und freundlich. Essen/ Steak war top, auf den gewünschten Punkt. Ambiente war entsprechend angepasst. Tendenziell etwas rustikal und sauber. Sollte ich wieder vor Ort sein, komme ich wieder.

Wir waren am Wochenende mit 2 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern dort und ich muss sagen : Hut ab an das ganze Team 💕 Der Laden war rappelvoll aber es hatte jeder ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, einen lieben Spruch parat und war immer aufmerksam. Sei es die Dame vom Empfang, der Herr der unseren Tisch betreut hat, die liebe Schülerin die für die Getränke zuständig war und sogar die Chefin des Hauses (liebe Grüße an dieser Stelle an Frau Engelke). Das Essen war wie gewohnt Mega. Wir hatten zur Vorspeise das Avocado Tatar, welches frisch und spritzig abgeschmeckt war, die Maronen Suppe schmeckte herrlich weihnachtlich. Zum Steak als Hauptgang brauche ich nichts zu sagen : Perfekt vom Grillmeister zubereitet. Ich freue mich immer wieder hier lecker und schön essen zu gehen und freue mich noch mehr nächste Woche hier mit meinen Lieben meinen Geburtstag feiern zu dürfen 😊

Wir waren Samstag Abend mit 3 Personen im Block House essen! Es war, wie immer, hervorragend! Trotz „voller Bude“ war der Kellner stets aufmerksam und höflich! Gegessen haben wir sowohl, Vorspeise, als auch Hauptgericht und anschließend Dessert. Ich denke, das spricht für sich! Geschmacklich wie immer on point! Frau Engelke und ihr Team sind tolle Gastgeber, wir kommen äußerst gerne her!

Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt hier absolut nicht. Welcher erwachsene Mensch soll von dieser Portion annähernd satt werden. Dann dafür fast 25€ für das billigste Essen zu verlangen ist grenzwertig. Das sollte dringend überdacht werden. Und es ist nicht der Preis sondern die Portierung ( zum Beispiel vom Kartoffelgratin oder 2 Stücken Fleisch in Größe eines Chicken MC Nuggets).

Wir waren heute zu dritt (zwei Erwachsene und ein vierjähriges Kind) essen. Es bedienten uns zwei Kellner, diese waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es wurde uns gleich eine Sitzerhöhung für die kleine angeboten und mal Sachen gegeben. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Steaks auf den Punkt gebraten. Die Fleischqualität war sehr gut und Köche haben einen hervorragenden Job gemacht. Hervorheben möchte ich zum Schluss nochmal die beiden Kellner die echt super waren! Aktualisierung vom 17.11.23: Dieses mal waren wir zu zweit, alles wie oben beschreiben. Gleicher Service wie gewohnt und sehr zuvorkommend. Super Atmosphäre auch wenn es diesmal voller war. Für mich immer wieder eine Wahl!

Leider hat uns unserer heutiger Aufenthalt im Block House überhaupt nicht gefallen. Sehr enttäuscht waren wir vom Essen. Die Portionen waren sehr klein, die Qualität und der Geschmack der Speisen waren unterdurchschnittlich (Bowl für 16,90€, Filetmedaillons mit Gemüse für 23,40€). Die Preise entsprachen absolut nicht der Quantität und der Qualität des Essens. Der Service war gut. Wir werden künftig andere Restaurants besuchen.

Es ist beeindruckend, wie souverän das Blockhouse-Team auch große Anstürme (z.B. während der Agritechnica) von Gästen managt. Die Qualität der Speisen leidet auch nicht darunter. Es macht immer mal wieder Freude, im BH zu essen.

Es war ein rundum gelungener Abend mit leckerem Essen und dem besten Service, den man sich wünschen kann. Und der krönende Abschluß war die persönliche Widmung mit der Rechnung. So fühlt man sich herzlich willkommen. Großes Lob an Küche und Service!!

Es war schön hier. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und auch das Tisch reservieren am Telefon sehr lustig. Essen wie immer gut. Kommen auf jedenfall wieder. Mir gefällt es besser als am kröpke hier.

Super Essen, super Service...gerne wieder

Ich war schon öfter im Blockhouse. Diesmal muss ich sagen, dass ich mit der Qualität des Fleisches nicht zufrieden war. Ich hatte Ribeye Steak bestellt medium. Das Fleisch war nur mit gutem Willen medium, eher well done. Außerdem waren diesmal zu viele Sehnen drin und das typische "Ribeye" fehlte mir. Dennoch schmeckte es gut. Der Service war wie immer sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Mega Leckeres Essen, die Bedienung war total locker und Mega freundlich. Das Essen kam ziemlich schnell wie immer eigentlich.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, man bekommt abends ohne Reservierung auch noch ein Platz. Steak sehr lecker, zergeht auf der Zunge. 10/10

Ein schönes Restaurant mit super Service. Die Steaks schmecken hervorragend und sind gut gemacht. Es hat aber auch seinen Preis was berechtigt ist. Meiner Meinung nach könnten die Steaks etwas größer sein. Ich musst du mir ein einzelnes Stück nachbestellen. Da ich nicht genug hatte vomSteak.
