The food was delicious and the hospitality of the staff was exemplary. The waiter sweetened our evening with his warm manner and his individual recommendations.

Just a superb steak. Wonderfully cooked and the baked potato was great to mop up the juice from the steak. They were very busy but managed to fit us in with no issues at all. The staff were great. There a menu online in English if needed which is accessed using a QR code.

I was really surprised on my last visit. The North Sea crabs were replaced by inexpensive Pacific crabs. The salad has also lost quality. Just greens and a piece of tomato! The steak is only served at 230 grams. Everything, mind you, at unchanged prices! If that's Ms. Block's new philosophy...

No matter which block house you go to: the quality is equally good and the staff is always great. The portions have now been reduced slightly so that the prices don't rise so much. The 160g sirloin steak with side dishes was more than enough for us.

After 15 minutes of waiting in the anteroom, we left again. There were 12 people in front of us who were also waiting for a table and the whole thing was around 6 p.m.! A previous reservation by telephone was rejected.

I come in with my girlfriend, 90% of the store is empty, but we are left standing in the reception area for a very long time. The employee chatted humidly and cheerfully as we waited at reception. Most of the store is empty. We are seated at a table that is directly behind the cloakroom. From there you can raise your hand 100 times and no waiter will see it. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she told me it was a bit crowded today. That really makes me laugh. The waitress is also waiting for a tip for the poor service. Blockhaus, you should perhaps train your employees a little better. My bottle of wine didn't arrive until after I finished my steak. The only thing that was good was my steak. Too bad.

Were seated at a table on a Saturday evening without a reservation after some waiting. The service was attentive and friendly even though the store was full and there was a lot to do. The order was taken quickly and the waiting time for the food was pleasantly short. Since we wanted to go further, we asked after the starter if we could pay so that we could go straight after the main course. This was quickly made possible and the main course arrived after a short time. A really great service. The food is of the well-known Block House quality and the steaks were cooked well.

We were there last night and can only praise it. Every step of the process runs smoothly here, the kitchen is running smoothly and the food comes quickly. Taste wise 10/10! Service is wonderful, always on point and everything in view even when the store is full. The ambience speaks for itself, nice and rustic to feel good. We were very satisfied!

Three of us guys had the big Oschis from the special menu. 630g, 660g and 890g rump steak. First they advertised 690 instead of 890, then we swapped sizes with each other. Then there was confusion during delivery. What was supposed to be rare was medium-rare and vice versa. The huge beast came back on the grill and he ate late. Some starters were taken but not brought. When asked, my starter was added to the meal (now the table was cramped). All in all, it's a shame that you didn't get a drink as compensation for so much chaos, as waiting guests at the entrance were put off with it. That would have been the minimum, especially since the tip was still reasonable. Everything seemed a bit stiff to handle. Luckily my meat was exactly how I wanted it straight away and was very tasty. Because of that and because I received everything I ordered in the end, no major point deductions.

The food was very tasty. We treated ourselves to ordering the T-bone steak and the fillet steak. Special requests were no problem. The service was very friendly and quick. We felt comfortable. It's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant/steakhouse where I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Let's start with food: Food was great. The meat was exactly as ordered (medium rare and medium well), the sauces were very tasty and not too little (a huge problem usually), the fries were crispy and sufficiently salted. The desserts were also delicious and not too expensive. Ambiance: It was loud, but that didn't bother us. There's usually nothing you can do about something like that anyway. The interior decoration was also very nice. I liked the open kitchen best. The only thing I may have missed a little was music. You could easily have something set up here. But that's no reason to deduct a star. Service: The service was super friendly, explained/recommended a few things and wasn't intrusive. Conclusion: I can highly recommend a visit to the Block House at Aegi and will definitely visit other Block Houses.

Overall I thought it was fine. It was very crowded on our day. Nevertheless, the waitress was always nearby and super friendly with a smile on her face. It is also very nicely decorated. The menu has something for almost everyone, vegan would be great... maybe not just salad for those who don't eat meat, there are now really great alternatives that you can make. I found it a bit very greasy, the fries could have been seasoned more. The homemade ketchup is really great. I tried it and think it's ok, that's my opinion and you can try it out. The dessert is amazing, I love the lava cake

Blockhouse is and remains a chain...everything costs extra, food is okay, if a little overpriced. Quality is okay, service was attentive, friendly but very business-like, telling us all sorts of things. You can do it, but there are much nicer steakhouses out there.

There were 5 people there, 4 of whom ordered rump steak. Unfortunately, they all had a bitter burnt taste. Probably due to the grill not being cleaned where the burnt food from the previous one was on it. The stick itself was not burned and reached perfect cooking levels, but the bitter burnt taste spoiled it. I regularly cook steaks on the grill at home. I was really disappointed.

Poor very poor steak ordered medium and received well done. Warm beer received a cold one after complaining on site. The person who works on the grill still has a lot to learn! The quality of the steaks was poor, it was much better in the past. I complained on site and pointed out all the deficiencies very clearly.

We were there with 3 couples on a Saturday evening. The positive thing was that we were able to reserve a table 2 hours in advance. Easy to reach by phone. The assigned table was literally IN THE MIDDLE of the restaurant. There was always something going on around us. After hours of looking at furniture, we wanted to come down, but that wasn't possible given the hustle and bustle. There are also quieter places. When making reservations, you should ask not to be seated in the middle. Out of 6 people, 5 had burgers and unfortunately they were disappointing. The patties were very dry and boring, the sauce was far too little. 3x was ordered with bacon, but only delivered twice. At the end someone was still hungry, but that is of course subjective. The boneless chicken leg was tasty, but the ratio of meat to side dish was not proportionate. Definitely not good value for money. The dishes ordered were too expensive for what you get. A baked potato doesn't cost much and fills you up. The lettuce was a large tablespoon full on two slices of cucumber to make it look bigger. The baguette was the second filling side dish. And then there were 2 small chunks of meat. You understand... The service was great. Attentive, always nice and offered us ice cream as a courtesy to the dry burger and deducted the remaining bacon from the bill as an extra. Very hardworking and personable. Overall, that couldn't save the dinner. We wished we could eat something good in peace and quiet. We got loud, unsuccessful, overly expensive food. Unfortunately, I made the recommendation and reserved the table, so the bottom line was that I didn't have a great experience.

At first everything was fine, although I had to return my steak because it was too well done. But that can happen, and after that my expectations were fully met in terms of taste and quality. The waiter who served us outside was very polite and courteous at the beginning and asked again during the meal whether everything was OK. However, when it came to paying, the tip didn't seem to be enough, which he made clear to us. We didn't just give 10 cents, but even then it's inappropriate to treat your guests like that. There was neither a thank you nor a goodbye, the bill was literally thrown on the table. This behavior is unacceptable.

We ate at Block House Am Aegi before going to the theater. The atmosphere and the staff were great, there is nothing to complain about. Unfortunately the food (Mr. Rumpsteak) was anything but great. The steak was very streaky and tough. We were there with six people and unfortunately everyone who ate a steak (three people) found it tough and mixed. A pity…..

Went there for dinner with 6 people. Apparently it was on the wrong day, because the waiter who served us was quite brisk and, above all, cheeky if not cheeky. 2 people The group even suggested leaving the location again. Then things didn't turn out as the waiter loudly and arrogantly announced...the steaks, which weren't exactly cheap, weren't grilled as desired for three people. After 10 minutes the waiter came to the table and asked if everything was fine...no, it wasn't. Well, you should have said something sooner, then the steaks would have been remade. Well thank you very much, we were almost finished eating. At the end, the waiter pointed out again that HE hadn't grilled the steaks. My goodness, what a guy. In short, the food was ok, not amazing, and quite carelessly prepared. There's better somewhere else for the price. There wasn't a cent tip for this rather poor performance. Let's not go there anymore.

Rustically furnished restaurant in loghouse style. Service was super good (Angela) very accommodating. Unfortunately, the most expensive fillet medium ordered was still too raw and corrected, that happened.

We were in the restaurant at lunchtime and were able to sit outside. The service staff was very attentive and friendly. However, I was very disappointed with the food I ordered. The chicken thighs appeared to have only been cooked. The skin lay pale and wobbly against the flesh. The meat wasn't seasoned well either; Luckily there was pepper and salt on the table. The baked potato wasn't really hot and looked like it was left over from the night before. Unfortunately, the blockhouse bread wasn't crispy at all, it was chewy but tasted good as usual. The coleslaw salad garnish was excellent. My husband had the Mrs Rump Steak. The meat was of the usual good quality and cooked to perfection. The salad was fresh and crunchy, the bread and the baked potato, like mine, could be improved. It's a shame, we really enjoy eating here, but at least I was disappointed.

The drinks took a little longer for me, but it was also a Friday evening and a bit busy. The food came quickly and with the starter at a good interval. The prices are high, but appropriate for the quality. Anyone who has ever been to another Blockhouse knows the steaks and burgers. Overall very tasty, great service and reasonably priced.
