Absolutely fantastic. Top-notch service, excellent food, delicious wine. This is one of the best restaurants in the city.

We've become regulars at Beef&Reef and are always delighted. The restaurant is personally run; the owner is always on-site, and it shows – in the quality, the service, and the passion for good food. The entire team is exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel completely at ease. The ambiance is beautiful and perfectly coordinated – ideal for a special evening, but also for a relaxed meal. The food consistently impresses with its top-notch quality, flawlessly prepared, and outstanding flavor. The steaks deserve special mention: for us, there's no other steakhouse we'd choose. The preparation and quality are simply superb. The complimentary amuse-bouche is always a highlight and has delighted us every time. We wholeheartedly recommend Beef&Reef and will, of course, remain regulars ourselves. A definite recommendation for anyone who appreciates first-class food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere!

A small but excellent restaurant with a great atmosphere! The service was very friendly and attentive! The food was very good, which one would expect given the slightly higher price! The meat quality is first-class, and the selection of steak sizes is more than adequate; there's definitely something for everyone! We felt very comfortable and welcome! We will definitely come back! Thank you! The only slight drawback is the parking situation around the restaurant! You need to allow some extra time to ensure you arrive at the restaurant at your reserved time.

Excellent service. Courteous, friendly, and excellent advice. The food is also wonderful. Superb quality, beautifully presented. I don't need to say anything about the portion size, as everyone orders what they want. 200 grams or 300... No problem. The steak comes in the chosen size. I was completely happy and satisfied.

We ate there on a recommendation, and beforehand, the service was super nice and friendly. They took their time and were really attentive. After being told about the fine dining menu, among other things, we decided to go for that. It sounded and read like it was very good. The three different steaks were good to very good (rump steak was very good). The side dishes were rather so-so. For our taste, the potatoes in particular lacked seasoning. For starters, we had tartar and cured salmon, although the salmon was simply amazing. The tartar was quite the opposite... unfortunately. Dessert consisted of various small items, such as a white chocolate mousse that was a bit fluffy. The chocolate cake, however, was good... The prices are, of course, a bit high, but that's rather irrelevant if it were just right. Nevertheless, it was a lovely evening and, as already mentioned: Service was first-class.

Hello everyone, This was our first time at Beef and Reef and we were truly impressed. **The service was absolutely first-class; from the very first moment, we felt very well looked after.** The ambiance and the overall setting were also first-class. The food was also very good, although my flank steak was initially overcooked. But the team took it back and perfected it without any problems – it was the best flank steak I've ever eaten. Simply a hit! Unfortunately, my girlfriend's meat was also more well-done than medium, but that was fine for her. The value for money was also reasonable, and they didn't charge for my undercooked steak – **truly outstanding service!** **Small note**: The port wine gravy was more like a gravy and unfortunately didn't have a hint of port wine in it. A €2 surcharge is too cheap in my opinion. I'd rather pay €5 and have real port wine in the gravy. 😊 With a few small refinements, it would be 5 stars.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hanover

I find it totally disrespectful when someone calls to ask if Beef and Reef offers part-time jobs and then gets a really disrespectful answer like, "Yes, for eight-year-olds," or something, just because I have a slightly higher voice. Then I reply, "No, for 16-year-olds," and then at the end they say, "Yeah, just go through your voice breaking." Please, that's completely unacceptable.

Quite nice, the meat was of decent quality and well-grilled. However, the price/performance ratio wasn't right. We arrived after 8:30 p.m. and were probably the last to order, but the kitchen took too long. The staff were quite unmotivated, and with the closing time approaching, they were more focused on courting each other than on the guests. It's a shame; it could have been better.

Four of us dined at Beef & Reef. Three out of four people were very satisfied with the food – it tasted really good, but overall it was expensive. The side dishes (e.g., fries) were rather small; if you're really hungry, an appetizer is recommended (which, again, isn't a bargain). A fillet steak (200g) wasn't convincing, and the accompanying baked potato tasted burnt. The wait for the food and drinks was long, even though there were only about 18-20 guests in the restaurant. A large bottle of water and two grappas, ordered with the espresso, were initially forgotten. The grappas arrived later, but weren't charged for. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately, the execution was inaccurate. There were also errors on the bill – a salad we ordered was missing, and instead we were charged for two Cokes, which we didn't have (unfortunately, we only noticed at home). For a bill of almost €300 (food and drinks for four people), we would have expected more care and better service – not only in the kitchen, but also in the overall experience – even if a server was apparently unavailable at short notice. I would still return for a second visit to see how it is.

Was very troublesome trying to find parking, no fault of the establishment Staff was friendly and accommodating when we finally managed to get there They found us seating outside and was quite nice Got some loud noise from a nearby police station when they had to go on a call But food arrived quite quickly despite being warned of 45 minute wait time Also got some bread served without asking for any and some great spreadable cheese with that Good quality on the food I asked for medium rare but what I got was more medium to medium well But the steak was still very juicy and I enjoyed it greatly If you want indoor seating I would recommend booking in advance And I would definitely visit here again

German cuisine is evolving. It slowly evolves and improves. Good raw materials, good service. Worth a try.

Small but nice location. Table nicely set. The food was excellent - simply delicious and beautifully presented. The managing director gallant and skilful. The second waitress was very friendly, but seemed a little overwhelmed. Requests for changes to the menu were implemented immediately. Two of my guests had a minor complaint. Both desserts were then taken off the bill without being asked. Great reaction, thank you very much for that. I really enjoyed it and can only recommend the restaurant. However, I would wish that I wasn't automatically addressed as a guest.

The Beef & Reef is a modern steakhouse that serves both meat. as well as fish specialties. There are also seasonal dishes every now and then; So the map changes throughout the year. During my visit, the food was completely convincing, the service was good, but could still be improved. There were some misunderstandings, especially when it came to the agreement with the kitchen. In detail: Food: 13 points All in all, very solid food. The starter was particularly impressive. Starter: 14 points As part of the game weeks there was a moose bratwurst. As someone who regularly eats in Scandinavia, I know moose meat very well and this bratwurst was seasoned perfectly. The moose taste came across very well, but also subtle. The degree of roasting of the sausage was also perfect. The potato salad that was served was good, but for me personally it was a bit too much with extras. You could hardly taste the potatoes anymore. Main course: 13 points The main course was a Caesar salad with bacon. The salad was crispy, the dressing was good (typical garlic-parmesan taste, but subtle here too) and the bacon was particularly good. Dessert: 12 points A variation of white mousse and cardamom cinnamon parfait with pickled pears and plums. I don't normally eat plums, but these were so good and crunchy that I was able to make an exception. The mousse was very airy and intense in taste, there is hardly anything to complain about here. The parfait, on the other hand, was very cardamom-focused. Cardamom is a very intense spice, which tastes bitter if used in too much. We had reached the border point where this occurs. I would have liked a little more cinnamon note here. Service: 10 points The service was friendly and courteous, but had found its "final opponent" in the communication with the kitchen. Unfortunately, the main course arrived about 3 minutes later because the kitchen hadn't put bacon on the salad because it wasn't mentioned, while the waitress assumed that, contrary to the menu, it was included as standard. Otherwise, the drinks and food arrived in a very good time, which is why there is no further reason for criticism here. Total: 12 points Overall, the evening can be rated with 4 stars (but at the top). The food was of good quality and the waiting times were reasonable. So I can only recommend a visit to meat lovers.

We actually came here because of our "Fine & Dine" voucher book and I was a bit skeptical. However, absolutely surprised and recommended. The reception and service were extremely courteous. The porterhouse steak was really outstanding, was it worth the price... Yes almost 😉 and because I was there the day before my birthday we got a wonderful little birthday cake. So I'd love to come back, not cheap but it's worth it😍

Overall, a solid performance, but certain weaknesses. The meat was not sufficiently tempered and should have been hotter when served. The visual presentation could be more ambitious, which also applies to the map. Laminated pages are not exactly great.

I always loved going to beef and reef. However, before Christmas I reserved a table for four people for February 14, 2025. My reservation was canceled today on February 1st, 2025 for no reason. This without justification. Probably because of the Valentine's Day offer. I find that very cheeky and unreliable.

If you like meat, this is the place for you! The steak was grilled to perfection and the animal didn't die twice. A super attentive service team in a contemporary atmosphere! A really good alternative to the franchise giant with the beef on the logo...

Great steakhouse with great quality meat. The ribeye was grilled to perfection, and the sides were fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly, but the wait was a bit long. Price is a bit higher, but justified for the quality.

My girlfriend and I always go to Beef and Reef on special days because it was tasty and the waiters/waitresses were friendly. But the last few times the food was just poor quality! But the worst thing is that the young waitresses were so rude and rude! I rarely experience something like that in fancy restaurants. I used to recommend Beef and Reef to everyone I knew, but that's all over now.

..a nice evening with very good steaks and delicious vino (primitivo). 🥩🍷 Despite a request in the afternoon, we still got a table from 6-7.45 p.m. I thought that was great. the service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, our table neighbors were a bit loud. That was the only thing that disturbed the evening. But the restaurant can't do anything for the guests... so it's all good. For the prices you expect (almost) perfection. Unfortunately, medium-rare didn't work out that evening - even at the next table, as we noticed. The meat was too done. In addition, the vegetable side dish is comparatively expensive (€5.5) - you can get it cheaper in other restaurants of the same class; especially if other side dishes are omitted. We probably won't come back, even if the staff is nice.

The interior is nothing special, but quite comfortable. My service person was noticeably friendly and attentive. My Caesar salad was good, but the cherry tomatoes were noticeably lacking. The fish was good without being particularly outstanding. In conclusion: the food is rather average, but cozy and nice. Fairly priced too.

I can't rate the food here as we couldn't stay here. The blonde lady already mentioned in the other review was also very unfriendly to us, she really attacked us because we didn't make a reservation or maybe because she didn't like us when we came in. You can really say in a more polite and friendly way that unfortunately everything is already reserved, then you as a guest will understand it better.

You can't treat customers like that! The food is great & I was looking forward to a nice evening with family. My reservation for today at 5:00 p.m., which I made a month ago, was canceled by email yesterday at 10:59 p.m. without any explanation. So there was no way to contact the restaurant & it was very stressful to look for an alternative at such short notice. We are super disappointed.

All in all, a successful visit with minor drawbacks.

Gastronomy is my passion, and I tend to be more demanding when evaluating it, so please take my review with that in mind. There were five of us, and I found the restaurant by googling it as one of the best steakhouses in Hannover. I’ll be honest and straightforward. The space and atmosphere were a bit of a disappointment – I was expecting something cozier and slightly more luxurious. All the steaks were cooked perfectly and very well done, as were the sides and sauces. They weren't the best steaks I've ever had, but we all left well-fed and satisfied. The wine list was also interesting, and the wine was excellent. Finally, the service was exceptionally pleasant, attentive, and accommodating in every way. Overall impression: 4 out of 5 stars.

Our absolute favorite restaurant. The steak here is consistently and consistently perfect. The seasonally changing side dishes are always seasoned to perfection and go perfectly with the simple steak. The focus here is on the product. The staff is extremely friendly and answers every question. We enjoy coming here regularly. The prices are more than appropriate for the meat quality and origin. The gin selection is great ☺️

You can sit outside, but it has to be quiet after 10 p.m. If you come by car, you need to allow enough time to look for a parking space.

We were in the restaurant for the first time today on the occasion of our anniversary and we were absolutely thrilled. We've eaten fillet steaks many times, but nothing comes close to this one. Optimal cooking level, juicy and ideally seasoned. We were served and looked after more than attentively, in a friendly and polite manner. The musical background was perfect, both the type of music and especially the volume. As a small suggestion for improvement, we would recommend cloth napkins and a little more attractive decoration. We will come back and recommend the restaurant.

The dry aged steak and entrecôte surprised us. The quality and preparation keeps up with more expensive restaurants (e.g. 800 degrees). Prices are okay. If you want to eat good meat, you have to pay €30-50 for the steak. It's definitely worth it.

Great, high quality food, great attentive service, great wines and smart aperitifs such as Aperol Sour or Spicy Spritz. In the summer you sit outside under the chestnut trees with a view of Osterleyplatz, just beautiful. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

The selection and quality of the food was excellent and pure enjoyment. The service attentive and quick. The visit is definitely worth it. In order to fully enjoy, among other things, the excellent and wide selection of wines, you should not come by car and plan enough time.

One of the BEST steaks I've ever had. It was thick yet cooked perfectly, along with the herb roasted potatoes and delicious asparagus entrees. The service was slightly lacking though. It was a quiet Monday night and we weren't checked on, nor asked if we wanted to order anything else (I had to flag down the waiter) and then waited indefinitely for the bill. Overall I'd go back, the mediocre service doesn't outweigh the unbelievable meal.

Great food and very courteous and attentive staff. We've been here three times so far and it's always been great. The desserts, side dishes and other dishes are rotated so that you can always try something new. But please bring back the chocolate souffle!

Really the best beef restaurant in Hanover at the moment! Of course, you pay a few euros more than in chains like Block House, but the quality of the meat is also way better! Added to this is the attentive service and the really nice ambience. Definitely a top location for special occasions.
