The food was delicious and plentiful. Everything was freshly prepared. The service was very attentive and unobtrusive. The value for money was excellent. I highly recommend it.

I went there today with my wife on the recommendation of a work colleague. I have to honestly say, the food was great. I had the Balkan plate and my wife had a mushroom schnitzel. The food was substantial. Neither of us could finish the portions served with each dish. The nice lady even packed up the leftovers for us. We were very satisfied with the service and the price. I can only recommend it. We will eat there more often from now on.

It was our first time there and we were absolutely thrilled with everything. The price-performance ratio was right, and the portions were generous and flavorful. We'll definitely be back. It's a shame I only went there now after 10 years in Dortmund. Unfortunately, the beer garden was reserved.

We haven't had such a fresh and delicious schnitzel in a long time. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back.

The food and service are very good. The staff is always attentive to guests' needs. The adjacent delicatessen offers many Yugoslavian specialties, as well as Spanish and Italian dishes. There's something for everyone. I always enjoy coming back to enjoy my favorite dish, the Balkan plate. The restrooms are very clean.

Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich, es gibt ausreichend Platz zu den anderen Tischen, sodass man nicht direkt an der Tischkante sitzen muss, damit der andere Tisch Platz nehmen kann. Das Personal ist freundlich und nicht aufdringlich. Die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend und der Preis dafür ist mehr als angemessen. Schnitzelgerichte werden in der Küche frisch geklopft, das hört man bis in den Saal. Das gibt ein gutes Gefühl, dass das Essen frisch zubereitet wird und nicht TK oder vorgefertigt ist. Kartenzahlung ist ab 50€ gestattet und mit einem "Grund" auch plausibel vor dem betreten erklärt. Das ist mehr als man erwartet und fair dem Gast gegenüber. Das Essen schmeckte uns ausgezeichnet, den frischen Vorspeisensalat kann ich nur hervorheben. Auf meinem Gericht waren frische Champions. Wirklich ausgezeichnet! Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder.

In diesem Restaurant gibt es neben Steak auch gut bürgerliche Küche. Wir waren zum Buffet da und es gab eine große Auswahl an Speisen incl. einem sehr leckerem Nachttischbuffet. Und das alles zu zivilen Preisen. Je nach Wetter kann man auch in dem Biergarten hinter dem Haus sitzen. Dort ist schön ruhig und abgeschieden. Wirklich ein schöner Ort um einmal abzuschalten.

It's still amazing how the pictures and ambience posted on the internet can differ from reality. The location is a "pub" that has been renovated from earlier times. The food is satisfying because the schnitzels look a lot like "formed meat" and could be "frozen food". The dessert is carelessly placed on a table, just like the salad is presented in two “bowls”. The fries were good and the croquettes were soft. Conclusion: I wouldn't speak of a buffet here because I present 3 types of schnitzel and 4 sauces in warming containers. The price is not exactly cheap at €19.90 plus drinks. A second visit or a recommendation to friends is not planned.

We were in this restaurant for the first time today. The reason was Valentine's Day. We had reserved a table. There is no dedicated parking lot, but there are plenty of options for parking. We were warmly welcomed by the manager of the house and shown to a nice table. The furnishings are rather spartan, but still cozy. All tables were nicely decorated for Valentine's Day. Our food came promptly. We ordered a Balkan and a grill plate. The meat was grilled to perfection, extremely tasty and of good quality. The rice was super fluffy and tasted great. The fries were fresh, hot and flavorful. The service is great there. A very nice boss who loves what she does. This is reflected in the restaurant. In any case, this wasn't our last visit. If you want to pay there by card, you have to bring your EC card with you and spend at least €50 there.

The Eseen tasted really good. The steaks (had fillet) were excellent, fries with a strong taste, salad, herb butter, everything was very good. Maybe a note: to season the onion soup with white wine, but it tasted good even without it, the chocolate cake was perfect, the ice cream was good.

The portion of the food was quite large (hardly manageable for "normal" eaters) even a senior citizen's plate is filled like a normal portion in other restaurants. Despite the relatively large portions, neither the taste nor the eye (as we all know, the eye suffers) the food was beautifully prepared and very tasty. The service staff were friendly and occasionally came by to ask how the guests were doing. The ambience corresponds to the rustic style and fits perfectly with the concept of a steak house. Problems or minor criticism are taken seriously by the service staff and, if possible, resolved immediately (our table was too dark due to the low battery power of the table lamp). All in all, I can only recommend it. Of course you shouldn't ignore the prices, but even the high price at first glance makes the size of the portion, the taste and of course the service almost small. Even the salad, intended as a "starter" or "aperitif", was delicious and I don't normally eat salad, especially not with tomatoes (which were delicious despite my dislike). See for yourself with a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere that it's worth eating there.

We were there in a group for the first time today. We became aware of it through TikTok and really wanted to try it out. The buffet was definitely not worth the money. The selection was far too small, the taste of the food itself was ok, potatoes were served raw, no sauces for the schnitzel. In between there were often no more plates. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything is a bit tight. I didn't eat much because the waiting time at the buffet was far too long, but the food still left me upset. We definitely won't come back

Heute zum ersten Mal dort gewesen. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Einrichtung eher Rustikal als Modern aber besonders im hinteren Bereich gemütlich und Tische angenehm weit auseinander. Essen. Sehr gut. Frisch und lecker und viel. Pfefferschnitzel für 18,90 mit Kroketten und frischem Salat. 2 mIttelgroße frisch geklopfte (konnte man aus Küche hören) mit lockerer Panade. Balkanteller für 26,90 mit ich glaube 8 Fleischsorten Pommes, Djuwec Reis und Salat. Preisleistung sehr gut.

The food, and that's what it's all about, was delicious! However, just a piece of bread with the steak is not enough! I would fry the rosemary sprig at the beginning, not just place it on the meat. We sat at the back in a hall that wasn't that comfortable and definitely too dark.

Went there with friends for the first time yesterday and were thrilled...the food was really top. But you should be very hungry because the portions are huge...we had to have a lot packed up. I was also happy that snails were on the menu again, unfortunately they are becoming increasingly rare. Conclusion: We will definitely come back👍

Good food and both large and small portions - depending on your wishes. I decided on a big crust. Small would be ok too. been... Staff is courteous and friendly. In the back room, which is apparently intended for greater responsibility, it is actually nicely furnished, but not for a cozy meal. Not that anything didn't fit, just big... Overall everything was in good order and quality.

We went to Steakhouse Alte Post based on a recommendation. Around three corners - so from the sister's cousin to his uncle's brother... or something like that. In short, we are lucky. As far as I know, the restaurant doesn't have its own parking spaces, but we saw plenty of free parking spaces in the area. The restaurant is furnished in a simple to rustic style. Not modern, not chic, but somehow “rustic and cozy”. According to the menu, home cooking, steak and Balkan dishes are served. The name Steakhouse might be a bit confusing. Yes - there is steak, but no more than in another "normal" restaurant. The menu is extensive and varied, so everyone should find something here. We had 3 schnitzels and a steak that evening. The schnitzels are fresh!! So fresh that the schnitzel beating rattled through the house :-) The prices for the dishes were just over 20 euros. But - old Swede - the plates were just big enough for the size of schnitzel that was delivered. And it’s super tasty. My steak was exactly as I wanted it and also tasted great. There was also a salad and a side dish, which further puts the price of over 20 euros for a schnitzel in perspective. With 5 people, our meal including the drinks - I think we all had 2 drinks - cost around 130 euros. So 26 euros per person. This is really a great price-performance ratio. The service was quick and very, very friendly. So we felt really comfortable and I would visit the restaurant again at any time and recommend it without reservation. Unless you want to spend a really fancy evening with TüTü. But if you just want a nice evening with great food - a clear recommendation for the Steakhouse Alte Post.

Das Essen ist zwar reichlich aber mittelmäßig. Medium = Roh. Der Service ungelernt aber versucht freundlich. AMBIENTE gibt es keines. Man merkt sofort das alles alt ist und von den Vorgängern übernommen.

Meine erste Wahl. Freundliches Inhaber geführtes Lokal. Alles auf den Punkt serviert. Neue Gestaltung des Innenraums. Sieht gut aus. Ein Speiselokal zum Wohlfühlen.

Champignonrahm Soße war nicht mein Geschmack. Konsistenz wie Pudding, Schnitzel und Grillteller waren an Sich aber gut gemacht. Salatbeilage jedoch eher lieblos angerichtet. Ambiente leider sehr veraltet.Frische Farbe an die Wände und jemand der sich um die Sauberkeit im Restaurant kümmern sollte wäre mal angebracht. Service war nett. Aber eher das letzte Mal dort gewesen, gibt es deutlich schönere Restaurants in der Nähe.

Das beste Restaurant in Dortmund, Preis-Leistung stimmt zu 100% das Essen ist sehr gut und für jedermann etwas dabei. Der Service ist einmalig. Immer wieder ein Fest bei euch 👍🏾!!!
