Price performance is not right at all.....

Food is OK, but nothing more than that. We expected more in terms of portions. The drinks (non-alcoholic) were not cold enough. The service is attentive and friendly.

For a steak plate for 45.90 I expect something different, only the baked potato was swapped for sweet potato fries

We wanted to stop at Pfefferkorn in the early afternoon as part of a Sunday excursion with our infant and have lunch. Of course, we walked around Lake Phoenix beforehand and grabbed a spritzer and a beer from the Bergmann-Bier booth. Both drinks were half empty when a very friendly service person seated us at a table where we could easily park our stroller. Great, not everyone has something like that in mind 👍 The service person who wanted to take our order immediately pointed out that our drinks were almost empty and that this was not allowed. We replied in a friendly manner that we would of course immediately order drinks here as well as food and drink up as quickly as possible. That wasn't an option for the waitress and when she repeated the ban, we asked if they didn't want our money, which apparently was the case. We then left the restaurant and had a delicious lunch somewhere else. An understanding gesture, a kind word and a little flexibility from the service staff would certainly have resulted in us ordering our meal at Pfefferkorn. Maybe another time

Das Patty des Burgers war besseres Pressfleisch (richtiges Mett sieht viiiel besser aus), der Rest hat soweit gepasst, sofern auf eine Creme Brulet eine Ananasscheibe gehört... Ergebnis: Viel Geld für durchschnittliches Essen und durchschnittlichen Service (wo guckt der hin, wenn er mit mir redet???) Die haben nix dazugelernt, leider.. Und trotzdem rennen alle hin wie blöd...

Stopped by spontaneously, there were still plenty of seats available outside, so we sat down and ordered. Drinks and food came quickly - simply delicious 😋 and great portions. You may complain about the prices (everything is getting more expensive), but there was really something on the plate!!! My companion had a cheeseburger (280g of meat) with a side of fries and I had a thick Ratsherrenschnitzel with grilled vegetables and potato wedges. In the end, with 4 drinks, we had a total bill of just under €65.

The food was very tasty. There was hardly anything wrong with it. Only the medium was ordered and it was delivered rare. It's a shame for the price... We also went a long time without any new drinks. Drinks were also forgotten but were still paid for. The cleanliness of the toilets left a lot to be desired. Paper in the urinals, on the floor, etc.

Located directly on Lake Phönix, the steakhouse offers many delicacies, served by friendly and attentive service. Great atmosphere and definitely recommended!

We were lucky and had a table outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery. We were surprised that the appetizer is big in size with generous amount of bread (was shared by 3 and was more than enough) we ordered the roast beef steak twice which was relatively good as we asked for medium well but was mostly well done. Another ribeye steak was ordered and was better and juicier. Friendly service, overall a good experience.

The food was okay, but nothing more. The service tried hard, but was very stressed and didn't really know much about the food or ingredients. Especially in a group in which vegans are also rather unfavorable. And in 2024 I will expect a service employee to know the difference between vegetarian and vegan and to be able to make a corresponding statement. If not, at least offer to inquire. In addition, the portions are rather manageable, but that is always a matter of opinion.

Update June 2024: Unfortunately, food-wise has deteriorated Beautiful place located directly on Lake Phönix. Friendly and above all fast and very attentive staff. The food is top, prepared with great attention to detail and beautifully presented. The “cheaper” lunch option is recommended. Here you can get a delicious meal during the week for sometimes less than €7. Reservation required at peak times if the weather is particularly good on the weekend. Barrier-free and also suitable for wheelchair users.

Delicious food, but only served lukewarm. The waitress C. Dabrowski is extremely attentive and friendly. Her blonde colleague could learn a lot from her. He screws up his face and gives you the feeling of not being welcome: he doesn't look at you, he hardly speaks. When I asked him to serve the water with lemon, he simply waved me off instead of telling me in one sentence that lemon was already included. I was glad he just took our drink order. I like to eat the fried salmon fillet here. Very tasty, especially with the sage butter (of which I wish there was a little more). Only the potatoes taste a bit bland, as if they were old. And unfortunately the service is always very slow - regardless of whether it is full or not.

The steak house makes a great visual impression with a beautiful view of the lake. The service is friendly, albeit with fake friendliness and fast. However, the tables and chairs are very close together. The waiters often walk past you quickly, which is very annoying while you're eating.

Beautiful restaurant on Lake Phönix with great food. We chose the fillet steak and really enjoyed it. Everyone at the table was very happy with their selection. Service was nice and on point even with large groups.

Unfortunately there seems to be too few staff. Very long waiting time. Waiters sometimes have to be found and asked to come to the table. The food was actually solid, but for the very high price I would have expected a better experience. At 2/3 of the price the food could have been given four stars.

We dined there with 3 people and didn't have the 500g fillets, but we spent 100EUR. No champagne either ;-) My Texan steak was a disaster because it was completely stringy, the pepper sauce didn't taste like anything, the yellow broth was supposed to be Bernaise sauce - it didn't taste like anything either. The grilled tomato tasted like vomit (disgusting cheese). The burger was good, the potato wedges were good too. The veg. Dish was also good. The additional Champi. were good too. You can also discreetly announce the delivery in advance. ## Conclusion: Despite a subsequent complaint, everything was of course fully charged. The lamest restaurant I have ever visited, 15 minutes until you are served, 40 minutes after ordering the food is still not there. The restaurant is an imposition - never again.

We had dinner at Pfefferkorn on May 5, 2024. We each ate steaks (US Prime) and an Argentinian steak, each with side dishes. The quality of the meat was very good and the plates were a little warmed up. All three dishes were only lukewarm. Also like the side dishes. We complained about this to service. Our complaint was “noted” by service. Based on the behavior of the operator, it cannot be assumed that there was an interest in passing on the information. We ordered a white wine Lugana with our meal. The glasses were poured far too full. Our conclusion is that the service does not do justice to the price level. That's how we see it when it comes to food. There will be no further visit to the Pfefferkorn. Anyone who calls for this price level must also deliver quality. Unfortunately that is not the case.

Yesterday I ordered a simple Classic Bueger, the taste was really delicious, but 1/4 of the meat was RAW. The waiter tried to convince me that he was "medium". My colleagues present also said that the minced meat is clearly raw. The waiter disappeared with my raw meat and into the kitchen and that was that for him. No feedback, no apology, nothing. Actually, I was simply ignored for the rest of the evening. When I ordered a cocktail, it wasn't tasty. Someone went crazy with lime. Caipirinha works differently. I then diluted it with water to make it more edible. Price-performance for this “quality” absolutely doesn’t fit. You really only pay for the location. When paying I asked for my meat; the waiter agreed with me that you could see from the kitchen light that the meat was raw. Still no apology, no discount...nothing. I definitely won't eat or drink there again. Mistakes can happen, but at least an apology would be pure politeness, which was unfortunately missing.

Absolutely incompetent service and the manager, I wanted to invite my friends for a meal and unfortunately I have a beer in my hand that I bought somewhere else. I wanted to invite my family and friends to the table, finish my beer and continue to the restaurant to order food and buy drinks. I was immediately expelled from the premises. After I asked what the problem was, the restaurant manager said that I was behaving aggressively and had to leave. I live in Dortmund myself and am in the area very often, but after such behavior I will no longer recommend this restaurant to my friends. Unfortunately, this restaurant has shown me nothing but incompetent service several times. I'm sorry, but you can't tolerate accepting such incompetent service.

We arrived today and wanted to have a coffee. When we weren't served after 15 minutes, I went to a waiter and asked if we could be served. It turned out that we would be sitting in the cordoned off area. The waitress apologized that the closure was not made clear anywhere. She then said that we should please move around and that a waiter would come straight away to serve us. When we complied, nothing happened for another 10 minutes. When I called the attention of 2 other waiters one more time, the first one told me it wasn't his job and was very rude to me and when I asked further questions I was ignored and the waiter just moved on. The second one, however, said that we shouldn't complain, that it was only 20 minutes and that he had to work and when I continued to complain and said that this behavior wasn't acceptable, he replied that he didn't want to serve us. I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior before.
