Maredo in Dortmund

Super friendly service and delicious food.

We had a lovely evening in the Maredo restaurant yesterday. The service is particularly worth mentioning. Our waiter Ramiz was extremely friendly and accommodating, so we felt completely comfortable.

Great steak and large selection of salads at the buffet. Nice service. Would love to come back

Always worth a visit! The service is always courteous, for example Ramiz - a service employee who you can tell how much he enjoys his job. I've been visiting Maredo since I was a child; for me it's always a bit like coming home. The only point of criticism for years has been the "Chimichuri", which doesn't deserve the name ;-) Otherwise, the Maredo is a guarantee of quality.

Steak and salad were very tasty. The waiter Romiz was super friendly, implemented requests and was very quick. Absolutely recommended!

That's the nicest restaurant in Dortmund. They are so sweet & carring. I would deffinietly recommended this to the neurodivergent people like me as well, it's music there - but normal amount, not to loud. The lighst are delicate und yellowish, not led ones! ❤️ I was sitting in my corner writing the book and i first time not be judged about sitting alone. Thank You very much.

We had a great evening at the steakhouse and a special thanks to Ramiz! His support was excellent: he gave us detailed advice, was always attentive and made sure that we didn't lack anything. We were guests with the family for my birthday and received excellent service from Ramiz. The food (rump steak deal including side dish and sauce) was very good. The steak was actually a bit very rare for medium rare, but that didn't really bother me. The meat quality and preparation were still very good. The service was really very friendly, courteous and attentive. If there was another drink or dessert request, this was immediately taken up and passed on. All in all, I can highly recommend the restaurant for birthdays or similar.

We returned to MAREDO on Friday evening, November 1st, 2024. We were greeted by the waiter Mr. Ramiz. He was very accommodating right from the start. We felt completely at home and we hadn't experienced such excellent service in a long time. With the food, everything was perfectly on point.

If I could I would give 10 stars. We, 2 people and 2 dogs, got a very quiet table at the edge, very nice and friendly service, large, generous portions, best quality and now it comes, our two dogs each received a bowl of the best, seared meat as a greeting from the kitchen from the chef personally served. We've never experienced this before. Speechless, hats off. Keep it up.

Steffi is the best, she welcomed us warmly and looked after us more than carefully! The white wine she recommended to us was great, I would come back just for Steffi!!

Mr. Ramiz is a very attentive service employee who not only welcomes us warmly but also seems to literally read our every wish from our lips. He is one of the reasons why we feel so comfortable at Maredo in Dortmund and why we keep coming back.

The Madero really convinced us! The steaks were of the best quality And cooked to perfection. What made this meal memorable was the service. Our waitress Nesrin particularly impressed us with her friendly and professional manner.😄 I can only recommend Madero to anyone looking for a first-class steakhouse. Everything is just right here! This was definitely not the last visit!

So Maredo is familiar with the beef product and that's what you can expect. It was to the point and tasty, everything was very good as expected. But here again a thank you to the service, very attentive and friendly. The ambience alone is just so-so. But this is not unknown either and does not reduce the overall result. So we will definitely come back when the time comes.

Unfortunately the rump steak didn't have the desired cooking point. Then the steak was riddled with semen, which of course was a shame for the enjoyment of the steak.

My hope was that something had changed for the better at the “fast food chain” Maredo. The service was really very attentive and friendly (5/5), the food was generally ok (3/5l but the atmosphere is terribly uncomfortable. Like in a cheap 2* hotel 🫣.

Spontaneously stopped by Maredo on Friday evening before the BVB game. We were quickly assigned a table and handed over the menu and asked about the drinks. NESRIN has the service gene - the steaks were brought with side dishes as requested and she asked if everything was OK. Friendly employees like NESRIN turn customers into satisfied guests!

I was there with my parents a few days ago. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The steak was incredibly tender and incredibly tasty. Steak Tasting! We went to the steak tasting today. The food was super delicious! The service was outstanding! A variety of different steaks and side dishes were served. Today we visited Dortmund. We really enjoyed a visit to Maredo on Balkan Street. Delicious food, steak top, salad top. But the friendly service Ramiz is particularly noteworthy. The overall service was outstanding and I would particularly like to mention the excellent waiter Ramzis who served us extremely professionally and attentively. His friendly demeanor and professionalism further enhanced the visit. The food was also excellent and I look forward to visiting here more often in the future.

As a starter I had a carpaccio, but it was frozen on the inside. After I indicated this, it was neatly resolved and this was an excellent carpaccio However, the main course was already brought to the table while we were still working on the starter. As a main course, all 3 of us had a different type of steak and it was very tasty. The quality of the food was fine/good, but the way of serving was a bit strange

We like coming here because we appreciate Ramiz's attentive service. He is always in a good mood and attentive without being intrusive. The dishes we have ordered so far have tasted good, and any intolerances have been taken into account. The ambience is rather cool and old-fashioned, but the service is all the more welcoming. In summer it's also nice to sit outside.

The food was fantastic, the steaks medium fried to perfection, the side dishes were the finest, the pepper sauce was a dream!!! Maredo is my go-to spot when you’re craving a good steak in Dortmund! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind over a hearty meal. The steaks are always cooked just right, and the sides really hit the spot. I’ve never been disappointed, though it can get a little busy at times, so the service might slow down. That said, the friendly staff makes up for it. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but totally worth it when you want to treat yourself!

Great restaurant with great and courteous service from Ramiz and a nice ambience. Unfortunately no photo was taken of the food, but I was very happy with my pork tenderloin. The salad bar was still fresh and tasty in the evening. I barely made it :-)

There were six of us there with friends. The sirloin steak was very tasty, the salad bar was fresh and tasty, but you can only help yourself once - you have to pay extra for second helpings. The woman named Nesrin was friendly and attentive.

Great food as always! What is still much better and priceless, however, is the service. Especially Ramiz's! A super accommodating, attentive and incredibly friendly man! And it doesn't matter whether the Rappel restaurant is full or comfortably empty. No wish remains unfulfilled. Thank you!

C'est un équivalent de Buffalo Grill ou toute autre chaîne de grillades / steakhouse. Mais pour un tel restaurant, la viande n'était pas d'une qualité irréprochable (un peu dure bien que marinée). Le tout était bien trop salé et les accompagnements quelconques. Et le prix demandé est un peu excessif (pour moins cher c'était 1 point de plus dans la note). Donc on peut y aller mais sans prétention. Pour le reste, le service était agréable et la salle propre, quoi que le mobilier un peu daté (ambiance années 2000). Et il est en plein centre ville, donc facilement accessible à pied.

I've eaten here a few times and have been served by the waiter Ramiz several times. He is a truly excellent waiter and remembers details like how I only want a lemon in my glass and no ice cubes. Plus, I never had any problems with my orders. I always enjoy coming here.
