Soggy John's "Funkin' Sog" in Berlin

I've been there twice now, and each time there are homeless people begging for food in the branch. When you try to be nice, they want not one, but four burgers, nuggets, and a Coke. I don't want to go there anymore. I feel uncomfortable because I like giving, but this is impossible and outrageous.

Disgusting toilets. Once and never again. 1 euro extra, bye 🤮

Two of us ate here. The tables were consistently dirty and sometimes left uncleaned. No staff member even bothered when we cleaned the table we were seated at ourselves. Now, as for the food itself: You can't really go wrong, because it tastes the same everywhere—or so you'd think. In our case, however, all the burgers and sides were cold. The extra slice of cheese was also missing from all the burgers we ordered. In summary, I would say this restaurant was a total disappointment and we will steer clear of it in the future!

I didn't find it as bad as described here. However, the two ladies preferred to talk the whole time, ignoring customers and even other employees. Furthermore, one employee made a great effort by, within a minute, - restocking fries (2 bags) - bringing customers food - clearing trash from the tables and then packing the food, or rather the bags, all without washing her hands. Unfortunately, she was completely overwhelmed. My number was listed as pickup for 11 minutes. I saw that one of my food items was already in the bag and they were still waiting for the other one. Logically, one of the food items was cold. The food, apart from being cold, was otherwise as usual.

I just wanted to order something there (Thursday, December 8, 2022, 8 p.m.). The employee wanted to deduct €2 too much from my bill twice, so I asked him if he could do math, because I should have gotten €2 back. But the salesperson wouldn't even give me my money back and became terribly abusive and insulted my mother. He wanted to fight me like a child, all because he can't do math. Please relieve me of this immediately. It's just sad what kind of people work there. But Berlin is a village, and you always see each other twice in life.

Nice staff, good service, and the food tastes good. The only bad thing is the guests – every time it’s like a freak show. Just when you think it can’t get any crazier, someone comes in who tops it. The staff clean well and have strong nerves. It’s more the guests who grab their kebab or Asian noodles there and make a mess of everything. The toilet has to cost money, otherwise you won’t make it out of there alive and that saved euro won’t be worth anything.

Not a single German-speaking employee

The food and service at this restaurant leave a lot to be desired. We were sometimes served the wrong food (sauces were swapped, and the wrong drinks were served), the burger patty wasn't cooked properly, and the salad wasn't exactly fresh, but I can accept that, considering this is a fast food restaurant and not a 5-star establishment.

The drive isn't so loud that you have to ask for it a few times because you can't hear very well, at least in my opinion. Otherwise, everything's perfect.

Dirtiest store ever. McDonald's food is just the same as always... standard. Never again. P.S., you can't tell from the photos; you walked around like you were on ice skates because everything was covered in Coke or something else.

I was minding my own business and some customers were throwing rolled up napkins and other things at my back. I reported it and the lame manager asked the guys if there was a problem and they said no. So basically it was my problem and when I pressed it, he told me to call the police. Weak. Paying customers are harassed and the "manager" goes limp and does nothing. Demote him as he obviously an't handle things.

⚠️ Tried McDonald's again... The fries were cold, dogs were allowed in the dining room, bums came in as customers without paying to take bottles out of the trash, and to top it all off, I overheard a man complaining that an employee was putting fries that had already been sold from the customers' tables back into the chip drawer after they left the "restaurant," thus putting them back into the sale... We left after three bites...

On the day of my visit, it was understaffed. It is not my favorite McDonald's, but it served it's purpose on the day - satisfying my hunger after just arriving in the area. I've been there before on several occasions, and what I find annoying is you must pay 1 Euro to access the toilets. Now, in other words, you must pay to wash your hands before using them for eating.

I didn't receive the shake I paid for

The toilet smells really bad and costs money, even if you've had something to drink.

We arrived at the table so dirty that my uncle had already dirty his clothes. There was no cleaning during the time we were eating, even the places where rubbish was piled high, you really didn't know what to do with it. Using the toilet costs 1 euro unless you know the people, then you get us through for free. If you told the staff that you had made yourself dirty by sitting at the covered tables, they got rude and said it was your own fault that you sat down with us. Considering you've spent money there, the service and quality are more like a homeless person's home, it's a complete disgrace.

Toilet costs money, what a pity

I ordered 20 Chicken McNuggets, a McSmart meal, and a small side of fries, and all I got was a double cheeseburger, which I didn't order, a side of fries even though there were supposed to be two, and the McNuggets. The sauces all matched and were completely missing from the nuggets. It's awful... how they can't even get an order right. Simply a rip-off, paid more than they got, and the service was terrible.

Portions are waaay smaller than any other McDonald. Prices are same. Coke has lots of ice. Not particularly clean either. Definitely don’t go here.

I've recently discovered table service: simply sit down, order in the app, and enter your table number. All without long waits or standing in line. 🥰🔝

The worst MC in Berlin but, from the looks of it and other reviews, the worst MC on the planet. Takeaway order? They prepare everything on trays and then at the last minute I transfer everything into a bag, sandwiches dismantled and badly made, orders different from what was chosen, drink left outside the takeaway bag. If and when I return to Berlin, I definitely know where not to go

All fine for the time and price, but I would really like to get some hot fries every now and then........

It is not cleaned, it is very uncomfortable to sit, the tables are not cleaned, sauces are no longer cleaned from the table(((

Service was good, needed to increase the staff so much delay

I waited 2 hours for my order and didn't receive it! Outrageous, unprofessional, and unacceptable.

I won't even get started on the outrageous prices McD's now charging for the crappy quality of the food. May the chain go under because of it. But this place is definitely something special: Unfriendly employees who barely speak German, food that's thrown onto your tray half-wrapped, and then the ever-present filth; the tables are so dirty you don't want to touch them. I don't know anything about the restrooms, which are secured like Fort Knox, but we can assume the worst. Whoever is a franchisee there should be thrown out, and anyone still eating there doesn't deserve any better.

Paying for the toilet as a customer? Is that even possible? A terrible store. A total disaster.

Fies is a very tasty fast food restaurant, I agree with that myself. Apart from that, not all of the staff speak German and although it is nicely decorated, it is unfortunately very loud for me while I eat. I also assume that the other customers feel the same way, and several of them have already sat down with the annoying factors. However, good game.

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to!!! It was pleasantly quiet inside, but the McNuggets were disgraceful!!! The breading wasn't crispy, it was rock hard. The meat had shriveled up to a minimum; you can see the large air spaces under the breading in the picture. It was tough and dry and had a disgusting gray color. I suspect they had been fried and reheated three or four times, or worse. One nugget was deliciously crispy and juicy on the inside, but there must have been one mixed in that had only been fried once. I won't be going to McDonald's again for a while, it has really ruined my appetite.

Big Mac was really good, and only a 5 minute wait

We ordered food to go. Absolutely the wrong food was put in the bag instead of chicken nuggets, these vegan dirt nuggets were put in which is absolutely bottomless, something like that should be absolutely respected, what people order, absolutely not recommended

No words for the service. We have not received an order over 13 euros. When we asked the staff about it, they said they didn't believe us. Later they admitted that they prepared the food but it didn't reach us. We asked for the money back but the branch management said it would never work. Now we have called the police.

Called the police because they thought we stole something. We didn't even get the order, we just wanted our money back. Communication was not possible because the employees did not speak German.

The Indian girl staff member who served me at the counter was very dismissive and seemed uninterested in helping. she think I am boss of McDonald's branch so be calm be patient it is better for you. The worker here don't care about the food just about money. When it's busy the fries are always undercooked. I'm really done with this location I would not come again even if drunk.

Idk if this location has bad workers or what, but the workers at this location need to learn how to make food. McDonald's is the easiest food to make, so how do they keep making. Orders wrong and the food horribly wrong. I have gotten breakfast from here, but not anymore unless they either fire the workers or teach them how to make the easiest foods in the world. 4x now, i have ordered breakfast burritos, with scrambled eggs, tomato, lettuce, and sauce. The workers apparently do not know how to make scrambled eggs or they are being lazy and just decide to use an egg patty( from breakfast sandwiches) and cut it up and use that instead. I am sorry but hello McDonald's, your workers are providing fake advertisements because they are not cooking the right way and providing false food. Breakfast burritos, has scrambled eggs, which are so easy a 4 year old can make it. I know who is making the order, as it is the same woman, and i have told the manger that the order was wrong and showed the burrito. I am not one to make such a horrible review but this needs to change. Fire the worker or figure out how to make them learn to cook the easiest foods in the world. McDonald's is known worldwide in how to cook food because it is in steps. The lunch menu isn't any better, most times i get burgers or other meals with missing ingredients. Either fix the problem or find someone who is willing to cook correctly. Also your dining hall is disgusting. Clean it every 30 minutes, and fix your bathroom. They are disgusting, and we get charged 1 euro to use it. Thats a scam. People should just go to Bürgermeister which is a 3 minute walk away by Edeka at Hermannplatz. The food there is far tastier and better. And they know how to cook.

Fast, but food wasn't that good compared to US McDonald's

Disgusting establishment, no clean tables, dining seats, the food was tasteless, the fries were not salty, not to mention the chess with the dry meat, in short quality level 0. Of course it was 1 a.m. but hey if you are not able to have a high level of requirements as it is closed at night.

Ice cream was delicious and there was also plenty of caramel sauce. Employees were friendly.

I rarely go to McDonald’s, and when I do, it’s usually just for a McSundae, which I enjoy while walking. Today I decided to sit down in the restaurant for the first time - and was pleasantly surprised. Ordering at the machine was pleasant and clear, my ice cream was ready in a few minutes and was even brought to my place. The dining room was clean, quiet and the atmosphere was relaxed. The staff was friendly and attentive. My McSundae – delicious as always. Of course, depending on the time of day, it can be busier and a little more hectic, but my experience today was overall positive.

Very disgusting! When we unsuspectingly ordered food at this McDonald's, we took the option of "eating in the restaurant", but we regretted this when we couldn't find a single clean table to eat at. The food was okay, but cleaning the tables would be worth it. But the highlight of this visit was entering the men's toilet, the floor was sticky, because of the green ambience that prevailed due to the lamp defect, it was difficult to see the floor. The smell in/near the tables around the toilet was almost unbearable. The urinals were all locked and smelled. After visiting the toilet, we talked to some passers-by in front of the McDonalds, who also warned about the smelly horror toilet. A basic hygienic cleaning would be very necessary and would meet the reputation of the McDonalds!!!

McDonald's. It is not possible to order a menu because the fries are empty. How can McDonald's ever run out of fries??? I should order everything individually, of course, no one understands what everyone can no longer speak German. The whole team also comes from the same country. How can this all be strange?

Not recommendable! I was spilled over with a half liter of coke by a service women. If things like these happened I would at least expect the store management to offer something as a good will return (which is more then a coffee). She totally failed and hided away. Those people damage you image, and actions should be taken!

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Even as a customer, I have to pay €1 for the toilets and get a 50 cent voucher just for this branch. The men's toilet was so slippery that you couldn't walk normally, the urinals were all out of order and the two remaining toilets were first occupied and then dirty. The food was OK, it just took a really long time, even though only 3 orders were processed. The tables were all dirty. It's probably not worth wiping over it every now and then.

The location alone on Hermannplatz, one of the most negative places in Neukölln, makes this branch unnecessary. The staff is rushed to process the orders as quickly as possible, which means that friendliness falls by the wayside. Update 2022: I went there today for the first time in years and had breakfast. Afterwards I wanted to wash my hands and discovered that both external people and paying customers had to pay €1 to get access to the toilet. I asked the restaurant manager (?) about it and he confirmed this, but kindly let me through the turnstile free of charge. It's hard to take money from external people for the use of sanitary facilities, but also from customers who consume in the store? Phew, that really has an unpleasant note!

This is totally robbery, customer also has to pay 1€ to use the toilet, even for kind, while the McDonald's at msin train station is free for kind to use.

Not the cleanest McDonald's I've ever seen. But it was enough to have a warm snack and charge your cell phone while you were there. What I find very cheeky, however, is that as a customer you have to pay €1 for the toilet, you only get a voucher for 50ct and half of the toilets are broken and still stink and aren't really clean.

When ordering, I pointed out that I wanted my latte macchiato in a glass. Despite there being fewer guests, it took almost 10 minutes for my order to arrive, but the latte macchiato was in a plastic reusable cup and then, contrary to my order, not with a long spoon but with a wooden stick. After I pointed out the errors, I received my latte macchiato in a glass, but only poured from the plastic cup and by now it had cooled down quite a bit and therefore corresponded to the ambience.

We bought 2 Happy Mil. At first, they didn’t give us more than one napkin, which is very, very strange. Secondly, they served us expired apples instead of the puree we ordered and didn’t say anything about it. The potatoes were green and the cheeseburger was very dry, as if it had been made yesterday. In general, this is the most terrible poppy seed I have ever eaten. I'm not happy and will never go there again

It is hard to explain a miracle like this. For me this is a tourist attraction showcasing Neukölln at its best. Going to this restaurant is unlike anything else you have experienced. I give 5 stars just because the atmosphere and the whole experience is very hard to replicate anywhere else in the world outside Neukölln. The whole restaurant smells of human feces, loud arabic or indian music is playing in the background, everything is dirty and greasy. The workers yell like at a kebab shop. Once you enter you want to leave as soon as possible but you live very happily just because you’ve seen something that you will never see again.

Ordered there twice through Wolt and the McFlurry ice cream was missing from both orders on different days. I wonder how one can be so incompetent. If you want to order and eat comfortably, without annoying support discussions afterwards, then avoid this branch.

My problem was I ordered from McDonald's, it arrived quickly but 20 Mc Nuggets were missing... even though I had ordered twice. Afterwards I called McDonald's and they told me in very bad German and mostly English that it was a mistake on McDonald's part. She said she would call Uber Eats and then contact me again. Suddenly I was only sent an additional payment via Paypal. However, as I said, without receiving a call back or offering another solution because we received significantly less food.

homeless folks get to enter AND harass eating customers, including myself. I'd like to eat in peace and not be guilted into buying some stranger food too while more often than not trying my hardest not to flinch at the smell (usually not folks fault but still) that sticks around since this is a closed environment. You enter and it smells like sweat and no bath for 2+ months. How can this place be considered kid friendly or such behaviour remain tolerated? Also the tables remain regularly uncleaned

Waiters don't speak German, dirt on the floor and in the branch, ham/cheeseburger not available according to the terminal, the next burger is 5.99 which is dry and should have been destroyed long ago according to the statutes. A rip-off and impudence on a very large scale, the fiale should be shown and regularly checked by the health officer! I'm so angry and I would have liked to go to the police straight away because I violated several regulations.

Horrible Food : cold, not well cooked. And dirty Restaurant (tables and floor dirty, so I prefer not to imagine the back kitchen) And one guy of the staff touched my fries with his dirty hands, and was very unpolite when I told him not to do that. This is the 3rd World restaurant of Berlin

In terms of food, it's a normal McDonald's. Unfortunately the toilet is extremely disgusting. And when you order here via Lieferando, something is often missing from the order. I know you can complain about it via Lieferando, but it's still annoying.
