Excellent restaurant. Very friendly service, incredibly delicious food with great wines at more than fair prices. We will definitely be back. P.S.: Dogs are also very welcome.

Essentially, the Promenadenbuffet functions like a cafeteria. Behind a long counter, you can see the fresh fish on display, and the menu is displayed along the back wall. You order your meal at the end of the long side, receive a pickup slip, which you use to pay at the cash register. Then, the "paid" stamp is stamped, and you wait until your pickup number is called. You either sit at a table in the same room or go through a door into the annex, which is a kind of permanent pavilion, but very large with a sturdy, fixed roof and plenty of seating. Drinks are served in bottles, and everyone is on first-name terms. This creates a familiar atmosphere, and you feel less like you're going out to eat. The value for money is excellent. Good fish or delicious currywurst, alternating with fries, potato salad, or fried potatoes, is possible. However, changes to the menu incur a surcharge. Suggestion: Modular pricing makes things fair and transparent. Either way: the promenade buffet is a must-see, and of course, every dish can be taken home.
