Casa Mia Kellenhusen in Kellenhusen (Ostsee)

Pasta, pizza, and dessert were all great. I was very disappointed with my main course 😞. I had Parmigiana alla Pollo with spaghetti in tomato sauce for €24.90. The spaghetti portion was smaller than a child's portion, and the two breaded and baked chicken fillets came from a convenience bag. For that price, you'd expect freshly prepared food. I'd get something like that from the frozen food section of the supermarket for €5.00.

It looked promising, but was unfortunately disappointing. Positive: good location, pleasant ambiance, appealing menu. The staff was mostly friendly, but seemed very incompetent (we were first left standing in the entrance area and then asked twice for our order. The cutlery was casually thrown onto the table as we walked by). When the food arrived, things unfortunately only got worse. The sauce for the filled pasta wasn't just thin, but rather watery and pretty flavorless. The rest of the dish wasn't really seasoned or well-seasoned either. The risotto was similar. The tomatoes, pine nuts, and Parmesan certainly had their own flavor, but the risotto rice itself didn't have anything close to a normal risotto consistency and (like the mushrooms) was barely seasoned and more or less tasteless. At least it was visually appealing. More expensive than restaurants in the area, which isn't justified for this meal, despite the location and ambiance. It's a shame, because the concept itself seems good.

Only conditionally recommended! The food was good, as always at Italian restaurants. Service? First, no wine arrived, then the wrong one, and by then the beer foam had settled. Then the wrong meal arrived, and later the one I had chosen. My extra-large, empty glass never arrived; instead, I got four small ones!

Well, you have to study the menu to get the right one. Prices are high, beach promenade, after all...

After our positive experiences in recent years, we were disappointed this time. The food for four people didn't arrive at the same time, but within a period of 10 minutes. The lasagna was still cold inside, even though it was the last to arrive. The service seemed bored and unengaged.

We both had pizza, which was delicious. Service was very friendly. Prices weren't cheap. We didn't like the atmosphere; we found it very large and uncomfortable. But we'll definitely come again when the weather is better and we can sit outside by the Baltic Sea.

The four of us were in Kellenhusen again for 6 days and on our last evening we ate here at Casa Mia. It was really really tasty. Price performance completely okay. If you want to eat delicious Italian food, you've come to the right place. Outside you have a great view of the Baltic Sea 😍 We will definitely come back on our next vacation. 😊

My girlfriend and I went there recently for a drink. After about 1 1/2 hours the waitress came and very rudely informed us that they were closing soon and taking a lunch break. The bill was slapped on the table. We didn't know it, I admit. We should have checked the opening times beforehand. However, she was completely annoyed just when she ordered. I have a lot of sympathy for people who work in service, but they could have reacted much more friendly. At least a great view.

With the spaghetti made from the Parmesan wheel, you can watch live how it is turned into the cheese!

We spontaneously got an outside seat for 4 people. Unfortunately there was no more pizza at 7:30 p.m. The prawns for €26 were only 5 prawns on the plate but were very expensive and unfortunately a bit dry. Children's meals are available at fair prices. The noodles for the child also came a moment earlier so that we could eat more relaxed afterwards.

Very nice ambience, but what use is the nice ambience if the waitress is asleep and you aren't served. There are enough customers who pay for the expensive food. So, got up and and to the next one. Maybe you'll get better service there.

Italian restaurant at the end of the promenade / had a medium portion of high-quality and tasty classic spaghetti "aglio e olio" with a little pepperoni heat as a lunch menu / with a double Averna and a cappuccino / recommended!

We are on vacation and are enjoying the great breakfast again and we have already been to dinner! Casa Mia is simply recommended! Great service and great cuisine! We will definitely come back there!

Great restaurant, very stylishly furnished and that makes you feel comfortable. The food (we had cod) was really well prepared. My wife's ravioli tasted great! We did everything right when choosing the location.

There are "only" four stars because unfortunately the food wasn't served at the same time, the pasta came at least 5 minutes later than the pizza. But everything tasted great.

Restaurant has deteriorated in quality, rarely had such a bad pizza. Pizza “Verdure” was offered with fresh vegetables, I got a topping made from a can and a glass, and the pizza base was also soggy. It's a shame, it was actually much better here.

The food was good but the prices were a bit expensive. Price/performance is therefore not right at this point. Despite a reservation there was no table available and we had to wait. Our pizzas took a very long time and other tables got their pizzas beforehand even though they came after us or ordered later. The tables next to us (several) got a limoncello on the house at the end, but we didn't. Too bad!

Food is good, but very expensive. The staff seemed bored and wasn't particularly friendly, which is at least what I would have liked given the prices.

The lunch menu offers many dishes from the evening menu at a good price. Pizza Tonno ordered very large, very tasty! Attention, cash payment only.

Fantastic pizza, which we can only recommend, and the prawns as a starter are a dream. When we are on site in Kellenhusen, a visit is mandatory. Although the prices are a little higher, you get top quality.

We ate there twice. Can be repeated. Very nice service. The waiting time for the food was completely reasonable, even in August. Gladly again

We were there for breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. You could also drink as much coffee as you wanted. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. We didn't need to ask for coffee. She came by often and checked things out straight away. We'll definitely go there again.

We were there on a Sunday lunchtime with our almost 4 year old son. We weren't allowed to order food until 12 sharp, and no exception was made for our son, which I think is a shame because people always prefer children. We got there 10 minutes early. Sohnemann still got his food before us, a children's pizza, but it still took a really long time considering the circumstances. The rest of the meal, 2 pizzas, 1 salad and 1x spaghetti bolognese also took a long time. The pizzas and the bolognese looked good, but the salad for just under €13 with a few leftover bread (which really looked like that and was totally dried out) was totally overpriced and not a highlight. I had ordered a salad with chicken and this one without olives, but got it with olives, too bad but no problem, I then distributed the olives to the family. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the salad. It didn't taste good and I had to add more seasoning. Unfortunately it wasn't beautifully presented either. I wouldn't eat a salad there again.

We ate the pesto pizza from the lunch menu because we only wanted to have a small lunch, so we ordered the pizza for two. The friendly young lady from the service brought the part and then served it on two plates. For just under 25 euros ( Pizza including 2 drinks) you get an excellent and affordable lunch here. By the way, the pasta portion (also for lunch under 13 euros) from the lady from the next table was amazing. So if you want to do something good, cheap and really fill your stomach before going to sleep at lunchtime, you have the option here. (The Franconian max rating is pronounced for this) "It's fine" We'll be back!!!

A beautiful restaurant, cozy and with very tasty food and good drinks. Friendly and attentive staff, we look forward to being there again between the years. I have to add to this review, the restaurant management has apparently changed. No special requests are possible anymore, changing the noodles or the sauce is not possible. When ordering, people don't really listen and push, the quality is still good, but listening to the guest when ordering and addressing health problems a little would be my strong recommendation. Because there are now two more Italian restaurants where requests are kindly taken into account.

Ordered pizza without onions. Receive pizza with onions and ask: “Is that possible too?” Pointed out that it doesn't work because there is an allergy. 3 minutes later I received the same pizza again, onions (not all) were just taken down by hand. Then went to the kitchen and complained. Pizza was taken back, but no apology, no compensation, nothing. My wife received her pizza, but it had hardly any toppings and was absolutely disproportionate in terms of price/performance ratio. A beautiful location does not justify unwarranted portions at outrageous prices and terrible service. Absolutely no recommendation.

An authentic restaurant where everything just fits together. The service is top and with a direct view of the sea you can enjoy very good Italian food. We were thrilled and felt completely comfortable!

Casa Mia is located directly on the Kellenhusen promenade and the view is fantastic. The service is very nice and quick. The food was, just like last year, wonderful and fresh. We will definitely come back there. Dogs are welcome. It's also worth stopping by from the surrounding area, in our case Dahme. I love it!

The restaurant is located directly on the beach. We sat outside but found the tables to be too narrow. The pizza was tasty, but I think 18 euros for one is steep. That doesn't justify the proximity to the beach either.

Very tastefully and exquisitely furnished restaurant in Italian style right on the beautiful Kellenhusen beach. Excellent parking options. Incredibly friendly, sensitive owner (son) and a great, attentive, experienced restaurant manager with a great team of waiters. We celebrated our son's 18th birthday here with 40 people. Of course, this large group could also choose individually a la carte. Delicious variety of dishes at absolutely fair prices with excellent service. Young and old were absolutely thrilled. I don't usually write bad reviews, but unfortunately this route has to be taken. First of all: I expressed my criticism on site and asked that the owner contact me by phone. To date (several days ago), unfortunately no call back. I really, really enjoyed coming to Casa Mia for years. The restaurant was one of our regular restaurants on vacation. Unfortunately, a lot has changed since summer 2024. We always reserved our tables in advance. However, I canceled it again after our first visit. About the service: The entire staff was replaced once. Jimmy, who worked there for years, is sorely missed with his charm! The new staff barely understands German. Example of this: I asked for the boss, the young lady didn't understand what I meant. After several attempts, she got a colleague and communication then took place. I expressed my criticism to her. However, she paid little or no attention to it. I also gave her the piece of paper with my number and a request for a call back. We also noticed that the young ladies rarely smile or seem particularly friendly. They looked more like they had no interest and were really just doing it to make money. It's a shame that the work (there are certainly friendly guests) is seen as a duty. You can have a bad day sometimes, but I highly doubt that everyone will have a bad day at the same time. The only one who smiled nicely was the blonde waiter who assigned the seats. He also listened to my criticism because he asked whether everything was okay. However, nothing more than a "I'm very sorry" came. If I had said something like that in the winter of 2024, at least the demand for a schnapps or espresso would have been on the house. Due to the change in staff, Casa Mia has lost a lot of its charm, good mood and feel-good factor. We always felt welcome with the old team, even when our son was very small and shouting. Unfortunately not at all this year. Continuing with the service, I can also say that we only received children's cutlery for our son after repeated inquiries on our part. That's actually what I expect when I order a children's meal. At least the demand as to whether we need any. I like to tip 10% or 15% if the service is good. However, we were very far away. So the tip was also less, and it was very difficult to say thank you. Regarding the interior: Not much has changed. Just as comfortably furnished as it was a few years ago. To eat: Unfortunately, the quality and quantity have also decreased. Yes, we currently have very high inflation, but prices have now risen and portions are smaller. I wouldn't have a problem if the prices were adjusted to the portion size. But smaller portions and more expensive prices?! No go. Either ... or. About the food itself: we tasted much better in winter 2023. The children's spaghetti Bolognese was simply cooked carelessly. No taste, no spices, nothing. My husband and I ordered the same thing. Both of us had several shrimps with tails in our meals. I had 4 pieces and my husband 2. Sorry, something like that shouldn't happen for almost €30! Food is always a question of taste, so I can only speak for ours. Other: we were happy to recommend Casa Mia to others, unfortunately those days are over. Too bad. We really, really enjoyed being here. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. Summary: Eat: -Unfortunately it has become very expensive. -Portions smaller -Flavor decreased Service: -No desire mentality -Inattentive -Below average friendliness -Understands very little German

So the casa mia is absolutely no longer recommended. Pasta is half the size of last year, the friendliness of the staff leaves a lot to be desired, the pizza with canned peppers and the prices are outrageously expensive.

Great ambience, very tasty and beautifully presented breakfast with plenty of coffee, friendly and funny service. Plus the great location. We felt very comfortable. There was a lot going on, so you might have to wait a bit if you want everything nicely arranged. We don't see it as a problem, after all we have time if we want to relax on the coast on Sundays. Unfortunately, not many people think like the family at the table next to us. It's a shame, the staff really tried hard and didn't deserve stupid comments. We can recommend Mia Casa Kellenhusen!

Spaghetti Bolognese was moderately warm and tasteless, Parmesan only when asked, the table was already cleared while I was still eating, a total no-go.

We were there again with three couples at the weekend. The long waiting time and the increased prices compared to last year could be tolerated, but unfortunately the pizzas were only average. Unfortunately, in direct comparison to last year, we were unlucky. The dough was very tasty, but unfortunately we didn't like the fact that the six pizzas had the same thin and manageable toppings, especially since the prices had risen. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio didn't match at all this time. Despite the abundance of guests, the service was top and very friendly.

Unfortunately, the kitchen/conditions did not manage to serve the correct pizzas for two of the five pizzas ordered. Which is a shame because the food was actually quite good, although a bit expensive.

The food was fine and the place right on the beach was beautiful. But what definitely bothered me was a very unfriendly waiter, I've never seen anything like that before and it doesn't work at all! It's really a shame that such a cheeky employee is employed if he continues like this he'll scare away even more guests.

Great restaurant in a prime location on the North Beach promenade. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is also very modern and cozy. There is also a lot for the little guests. It is a little more expensive, but the quality is good. It's best to reserve in advance as there is always something going on here.

Pizza to take away for 6.50. 1. you can't complain about the price and 2. it tasted really good. I've experienced this differently in other holiday destinations for more money.
