Food is exceptional would really recommend this place. The service is friendly and we were made to feel at home even though we had a language barrier it was not a problem. The beer was good alongside the wine.

Authentic German food, always friendly. This was my third time. Hands-down, the best hamburger and schnitzel, the fried cheese sandwich is also incredible.

The food was great, but unfortunately the service wasn't as we were charged too much beer and we 100% didn't drink it. Discussion with the waiter and unfortunately no insight. We paid for the 3 overcharged beers. Keller then complained about our inattention and asked us to write down the beers next time...

I was with 7 other friends at Sendlinger Augustiner. We ordered 5different foods and they were all amazing. Prices are pretty good for the quality of food you get. Service was also pretty good 👍🏼

very good beer and atmosphere of a typical German beer hall, negative note on the customers who looked at us badly as soon as we entered just because we were not 50-year-old Germans with a prominent beard and beer belly. If you would like to take some coasters as a souvenir you can do so, but ask the staff first otherwise they will go crazy

Were there for “Burger Day”. Everything as it should be. Delicious burger, good attentive service. Prices ok for Munich, as it was Burger Day the burgers were a little cheaper than usual.

There wasn't much going on, although it was also Thursday, but it was a schnitzel day. Food was good and cheap (Sendlinger Schnitzel) €14.80. The beer (Augustiner Dunkel) was even better.

Highly recommended. Came here on a chilly Sunday afternoon after a visit to the Südbad and we were not disappointed. The Spinatknödel was amazing, done perfectly with melted butter, cheese and cherry tomatoes. My daughter's Kinderschnitzel was perfectly cooked and came with sort of curly chips (not just pommes from the freezer). Fresh Augustiner beer from the tap and very friendly, fast service.

Sehr schönes, sauberes, typisch bayrisches Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal und leckerem Essen. Einziges Ärgernis: katastrophal schlechte Parkmöglichkeiten. Daher sollte man - sofern man den PKW benutzt - frühzeitig anreisen, um einen Parkplatz zu finden, bzw. andere Verkehrsmittel nutzen. Ansonsten alles empfehlenswert! Wir kommen wieder!

White sausage breakfast was great There are now new prices all the time. The prices simply increase between Oktoberfest and now it depends on the time. Unfortunately, the staff who also collects the money touches the Baugette, cuts it and throws it into the bread basket. This is not hygienic. Don't want to know what's going on in the kitchen if no one sees it. Staff difficult. Depending on who you catch, you simply have nothing to drink for an hour until you just want to leave, annoyed. But this only affects female waitresses. The gentlemen are usually attentive, but not intrusive. The boss seems really nice too. You don't necessarily have to make a reservation for breakfast. But I would recommend it with a larger group. In summer you can also sit outside. Very rustic restaurant with Augustiner beer. Cappuchino always depends on the Brista. Sometimes edible, sometimes like coffee with milk. The schnapps are particularly recommended! Parking on the street is no longer so easy (resident parking), except on weekends. So it's better to come by bike or on foot.

Chasing friendly and consuming guests away from the table at 6:45 p.m. because it is reserved for 7:30 p.m. without the chance to say a nice goodbye is a fast food mentality. I personally don't need it, and you don't seem to want me as a guest either.

The food and the Augustiner, delicious. The service was good, but one waiter's mood wasn't great. Maybe he was having a bad day.

Nice ambience. Reservations for 14 people at three tables in the back of the restaurant were good. The Kaiserschmarn was very good. Food was OK but service wasn't good. One out of 14 people wanted soup as a starter. The waiter advised against this because otherwise he would have had to order the soup separately in the kitchen. The waiters didn't know which schnitzel they were serving. Veal was confused with pork schnitzel and pork schnitzel with Munich schnitzel. Unfortunately we couldn't all eat together. The meatloaf was served cold. Of the three red wines on the menu there were only two. A table was forgotten when ordering dessert. Unfortunately, expectations of our visit were not met. Too bad.

Delicious food and good service, but an additional 8% is added and an additional tip is asked. This without notice.

Awful time to get serve, moreover, at the end, waiter dare to add 20% tip without saying anything. That was not a mistake if you read other comments. To avoid absolutely !

Service and ambience good so far. Unfortunately, the food is no longer recommended at all because the quality and taste is absolutely inadequate, even for a simple pub. In comparison, a completely unreasonable price level (bland mixed salad with goat cheese € 20.-) Overall good for an evening with friends over a beer. Food no thanks.

This place is a 10 out of 10. You must come and eat here. My friends and I are coming back again for sure while visiting. Everything was fabulous. Ladi was our waiter at WAS wonderful. He was kind, funny, silly, helpful and charming. The restaurant was absolutely delicious. The food was perfect. The atmosphere was perfect and relaxing. And AGAIN Ladi was the cherry on top of the cake. Thank you Ladi for making our meal absolutely over the top perfect.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience yesterday. First of all - during the game Austria ./. Türkiye - the space around the tables was so tight that you could hardly breathe. Obviously they wanted to "host" as many guests as possible and boost sales... That wouldn't have been so bad, but all of our food was either oversalted (chicken breast), burnt (burger patty) or simply mixed together carelessly: the sauerkraut was swimming in fat, the ready-made mashed potatoes were okay, but the bratwursts were practically raw ( and they should actually be brown to crispy). I didn't say anything at first because I didn't feel like arguing with the waitress and the place was packed anyway, but when asked when paying, I did. The waitress was super-friendly, she was sorry and she said (rightly) that we should have said something earlier. BUT: If a kitchen is so overwhelmed that you can't even manage a layman's move like frying a few sausages (as I said: almost raw), then there is something fundamentally wrong. So either hire an assistant cook or reduce the number of places. But that really doesn't work! It's a shame, the past few years have actually always been very good in "August"...

We came for schnitzel day and loved everything we ordered. The munchner schnitzel was my favorite. Very comfortable outdoor seating and friendly wait staff.

After a short wait we were seated. The first impression is good. A large and tidy outdoor area invites you to linger. The first beer and the menu came quickly. When it comes to the menu, it is noticeable that vegetarians and vegans have extremely little choice. The service is limited to a minimum and does not reveal any individuality. Overall, the beers were poured properly. We suspect that the beers don't come from wooden barrels as we only saw one tap. After some time we were able to order. Obatzda and spinach dumplings as well as beef tartare and tagliata di manzo were ordered. Obatzda and carpaccio were brought. The order was taken incorrectly. The Obatzda was very average overall. The Brie or Camembert content was very low and there was little sophistication or taste at all in terms of taste. The carpaccio was absolutely delicious. Not overly seasoned and the garnish was appropriate. We recommend toasting the pine nuts for the finishing touch. The spinach dumplings were exceptionally good as the consistency and spinach flavor were very balanced. The only thing that was exaggerated a bit was the probably young Parmesan cheese. The omitted butter and walnuts were the icing on the cake on the spinach dumplings. Melted onions would have ennobled the dish. The tagliata was consistently disappointing. Each piece of meat had different levels of doneness. From well done to raw, everything was there. Unfortunately, the garnish had nothing to do with the classic tagliata. Instead of tomatoes, rocket and hail salt and pepper, there was rocket with lettuce and unroasted pine nuts with lots of (probably) Parmesan. Unfortunately, with all the high-quality ingredients, it's a real disappointment and not recommended. Especially since the garnish was the same as for the carpaccio.

------ Update 2 from July 27, 2024 ----- Still great. Friendly, very good food. It's clear that the beer (Augustiner on tap) is great. ;-) Child friendly. But the beer has been pouring really badly for a few weeks now. If you wait until the foam is gone, then a few centimeters below the calibration mark. Yes, you can say something. But this is now almost standard and not necessary. This also happens at quiet times, not just when things are hectic. Just pour properly poured beers again, then there's nothing to complain about! Serious review. ------ Update 1 ----- Went again yesterday and everything was great again. Top food, good prices, very courteous and extremely friendly service (w). Beer, as always, unbeatably good. Out of fairness, I hereby revise the former, partly critical assessment. --- former review --- We are basically regular guests and are actually extremely satisfied with the new landlord and team. Great food at fair prices for the quality. Not cheap, but the quality is very good and the portions are large. There are also relatively good vegetarian options. Augustiner beer on tap: what more could you want! Nice outside in the summer too. Unfortunately, this time the waiter (new or unknown to us, but hadn't been there for a while) was almost rude in his tone. The landlord should take a look at it. Even fried potatoes instead of fries with the burger used to be no problem, but now it costs an extra 3.50 euros. A pity. We'll still come back, but we'll see that one of our regular waiters will serve us.

Although it is not in the city center, it is a local restaurant that I visited briefly to watch soccer. I don't recommend Haksen because it's a bit salty for Koreans' tastes, but Schnitzel is okay. It's okay to drink beer with anything, so you can drink it with cancer or beer.

Wir waren am Samstag und am Sonntag zum Weißwurst-Frühstück in diesem Lokal. Sonntag war deutlich mehr Betrieb und wir hatten Glück noch einen schönen Tisch im Innenbereich zu erhalten. Der Service war einwandfrei, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Noch vor 2 Jahren kostete das Weißwurstfrühstück (2 Weißwürste, 1 Brezel, süßer Senf) sagenhafte 3,33 Euro. Inzwischen sind es bereits 5,55 Euro. Immer noch ganz gut, aber nicht mehr so dass es einen vom Hocker haut. Es gibt in München mehrere Lokalitäten wo man ähnliche Preise hat. Die Weißwürste waren gut, die Brezeln viel zu salzig. Am Samstag waren es frische Brezeln, am Sonntag leider nicht. Nachdem wir das viele Salz abgekratzt hatten konnte man sie ganz gut essen. Insgesamt hatten wir mit 2 Kaffee ca. 20.- Euro zu zahlen. Insgesamt gesehen ein guter und netter Start in den Tag.

A very nice inn with typical Augustinian beer and good and tasty food! With cheap weekly offers e.g. B. Tuesday = schnitzel day! Opening times: Mon. - Fri. 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Sat. and Sunday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.! The staff is very nice and accommodating... almost like being at home! The toilets are very clean... (praise)! Can be reached on foot from Harras U 6 in 5 minutes! Keep it up... Highly recommended! 👍😉

Never experienced such bad service. The boss should take a vacation. Unprofessional and unpleasant. If you give a friendly hint in private, set off the alarm on the terrace in front of everyone. I always enjoy coming here but I've never seen anything like it.

We were there on Wednesday and had a crusty roast and a knuckle for €14 each and a dark Augustiner from the barrel. Both were large portions and tasted wonderful. Also very inexpensive. The service is also friendly, attentive and quick. The tables and the outdoor restaurant are also great when the weather is nice. We'd love to come back.

Completely different and 100 times better! We went there for the first time almost two years ago with friends and I had a schnitzel with fries. It was average at best. Fries just fine and felt like a frozen schnitzel. We haven't gone there since. Then this week we happened to see that there was a change: additional small tables on an extension - different appearance. Out of curiosity, we gave it another chance. Since it happened to be schnitzel day (Thursday), I simply took the schnitzel to compare it with the one back then. There are worlds in between! As soon as it arrived I knew: OK, there must be a new owner, tenant, chef etc. behind it because the entire presentation was already different. Modern plates, dishes. And most importantly: One of the best fries I've ever had! The schnitzel was also delicious and the breading seemed like it was homemade. So completely different than the schnitzel plate back then. Mega mega good. Luckily we gave the Augustinian another chance. It's really different than 2 years ago and great. Price performance is also right, nice service :) It couldn't be better.

I can only warmly recommend the Sendlinger Augustiner! The prices are very fair and you really get a lot for your money. We come here regularly and so far we have really enjoyed every dish. Also worth mentioning is the friendly service, which makes your stay very pleasant every time. Keep it up!

The Sendlinger Augustiner is simply amazing! The beer is great, especially the light one on tap!😉 And the schnitzel? Super delicious! Crispy on the outside, super juicy on the inside – a real treat. Price-performance is totally right here, you get really good quality for your money. The service is super friendly and the atmosphere is totally relaxed. A perfect place to spend a nice evening. Delicious food, very pleasant atmosphere and great service. Gladly again and again! (Old review) That was once. Under the new owner the mood has changed 180°. Unfortunately not for the better. Two little tips on the side: 1. A pair of white sausages with pretzels for €5.55? It's scary to imagine the quality you're supposed to get in a restaurant for so little money. It's better to spend a little more and enjoy it with a clear conscience. 2. From time to time, a second person should check the grammar and spelling of the website. What you read here is also scary. All in all, Bavarian cosiness and culture are imitated quite clumsily but absolutely not skillfully.

Very loud, very crowded, very cramped, had to wait over an hour for food on knuckle day, knuckles weren't that great, they were all very different sizes and some were very dry. But service was top and very nice.

Prices go up all at once, quality and quantity go down straight away... why?

We waited 90 minutes for the food and were there with three small children, which is not possible without warning because of the waiting time. Nobody kept us informed, nobody apologized and in the end the waitress was annoyed when I asked for a discount on the bill. Too bad.

Unfortunately I have to take back my 5 star rating because there were significant changes. The food is still delicious, but the service staff has changed and unfortunately so has their friendliness. I actually felt uncomfortable the last time I visited. Very rough, stressed people. Even the great food can no longer convince me to go there. Too bad.

Unfortunately, things rarely worked out when picking up food. Last time the burger I ordered was missing meat, today it was even worse: after I even gave a tip when I ordered my pick-up, there wasn't even a bag available to carry the boxes and I had to balance the individual things through the district. And instead of the burger there was a schnitzel in the package when I opened it at home. Total chaos, I didn't get what I ordered. It is believed that beginners have opened a catering establishment here. At least you can pay by card (this is more important than processing correct orders - for the company)

The Sendlinger Augustiner is an excellent restaurant that I would happily recommend. Here are some reasons why: Beer served cold: Especially in summer, it is a real pleasure that the beer at Sendlinger Augustiner is served cool and even in chilled glasses. Excellent cuisine: Since a new owner and chef took over about 2-3 years ago, the kitchen has developed extremely positively. No matter whether Bavarian specialties, seasonal dishes or other classics, it always tastes great at Sendlinger Augustiner! Pleasant ambience: I appreciate the combination of friendly service staff, great cuisine and a beautiful ambience. It is a place where you feel comfortable. Recommended for celebrations: If you are planning a celebration, the restaurant is also recommended. I have celebrated my birthday there several times and have always been very satisfied - and more importantly - so have the guests! 🎉🍽️

I was always happy to be a guest here. Unfortunately, the landlord and/or the staff are unable to distinguish normal beer from non-alcoholic beer. Since I don't drink alcohol, it was a pretty unpleasant evening. The response to the complaint about the incorrect beer being served also made the situation worse.

A beautiful restaurant in a great location, with a typical, but modernly interpreted Augustinian menu. The food tastes really good, the Kaiserschmarrn is great. But the waitresses (especially the men) were incredibly slow and inattentive on all my visits. A pity!

Very nice Bavarian inn with a rustic atmosphere. Traditional Bavarian cuisine with very appealing dishes. There is good Augustiner beer on tap. The portions are quite large and the Munich schnitzel is worth the price. A small drawback was the service, which was quite taciturn and not particularly interested in refilling the glasses if they had been empty for a long time.

Waren hier im Rahmen eines Aufenthaltes in München. Schönes Gasthaus, klassisches Ambiente 10/10. Bedienung war nett, schnell und aufmerksam 10/10. Zum Essen: Sauerbraten, Haxe und Zwiebelrostbraten waren sehr lecker. Die Käsespätzle waren etwas körnig vom Käse her, daher landen wir insgesamt bei soliden 8/10 Punkten. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung.
