Excellent quality local food, welcoming and typical Bavarian atmosphere.

The toilet stinks horribly, and not just for a few days. You can't enjoy an Augustiner beer with that stench.

The goat burger was very good. Friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere in the adjoining room.

Inattentive Balkan waiters in lederhosen. Before you can even order anything, they'd rather collect payment from five tables. Good service is exactly the opposite.

Beautifully and quaintly decorated 👍 We were a couple and got a table even without a reservation. The service was very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. We had two drinks and a main course each. The food was very good. We had a currywurst (180 grams) with fries 🍟 and an Alpfanderl (a dumpling) from the cast-iron pan. The portions were generous and the price was reasonable. We'd be happy to come back.

The best restaurant in Munich! The vegetarian selection is particularly excellent and incredibly creative! Everything is delicious and the prices are extremely fair.

It wasn't busy, but we still waited 30 minutes for our drink order. Then we waited another 30 minutes for the food. The schnitzel was burnt and the fried potatoes were black. The portions were also very small for the price. Furthermore, communication with the waitresses was very difficult and unfriendly. After the first of us didn't leave a tip (which was only met with a "tssss"), the waitress was very rude and disrespectful. Shaking her head, the waitress went to her colleagues and they started talking in our direction. There were six of us there, and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

A Bavarian local quaint and great food but unfortunately very loud but no matter gurd is

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of Sendling. We were a group of four guests during the week. We were immediately greeted warmly by the staff and shown to our seats. The restaurant offers a good selection of typical brewery classics and other dishes. Our order was taken promptly, and our drinks were brought to our tables quickly. The appetizers followed immediately afterward. The main course didn't take long to arrive. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes and they were also quite affordable. We would be happy to return and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an affordable restaurant in Sendling.

The food and ambiance were good, but the waitress forgot to deliver the soup we ordered. Instead of apologizing, she claimed (very loudly and rudely) to have brought the soup, even though everyone at our table (6 people) insisted that no soup was coming. Even the offer to pay for the soup (€7!) unfortunately didn't appease her...

They now have good food and reasonable prices. However, the fact that the owner's wife only offers free tables outside for eating is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable in an Augustinerwirtschaft restaurant, especially if you've otherwise eaten there regularly. It's a shame!

Nice staff, food is a bit overpriced, beer price is okay

We actually like it here. However, we wanted to eat here with our children today and were informed when ordering that card games weren't allowed. Mind you, we wanted to play a children's card game with the kids, and that wasn't allowed either. I would be very disappointed if any other card game wasn't allowed in a Bavarian restaurant, but I find that completely incomprehensible. We left and would rather go somewhere else in the future.

I've lived almost next door for almost 27 years now, and over that time—which is why I also visited the previous tenant—I've been a regular guest. 5 stars for the beer, of course, Augustiner—no need to waste any more words. 5-star location, decor, overall ambiance, very cozy. 4 stars, service, usually very attentive. The majority of the staff are good, walking in and out with their heads held high, with more than one glass in their hand, and a friendly overview of everything. However, since the highly popular non-alcoholic Augustiner has been available, you have to be very careful to get the right beer. But that's more of a warning than a criticism. I've also experienced more than ten minutes after sitting down outside without being noticed. There was hardly anything going on, and the waitress was standing at one of the barrel tables just about 8 meters away, smoking, biting her nails, and playing with her phone. I left after a quarter of an hour. The food. 3.5 stars. I have to note, though: the quality of the food, actually 4 stars. The prices have gone up, as is the case everywhere in the restaurant industry, of course. But they offered penne arrabiata, for example, for two euros more than at the exclusive Italian restaurant next door; and they're in a different league. But it's also about whether the menu matches the food. They offer semolina dumpling soup, but what they served was pea soup. When asked, the simple reply was: "They're out of stock." It's worth knowing beforehand. Wild mushroom risotto comes with homeopathic doses of wild mushrooms. Chanterelles in cream with bread dumplings (no mention of mushrooms) are served with about two-thirds mushrooms. When I asked, I was told that it's been going on like this for a month and no one has complained yet—so it's not an oversight, but a system. It's a bit like if I order a rump steak and the meal comes with two-thirds pork schnitzel. My conclusion: For a beer at any time and for those who don't mind - to put it very conservatively - a bit of cheating, even a bit more.

A popular meeting place for over 25 years, it's been a great place for a cool Augustiner beer and delicious Bavarian specialties. The connection to the U6 subway station to Implerstraße, followed by a 6-minute walk, is ideal. Highly recommended

Great service and delicious food, but the portions were decidedly too small. The mountaineer's schnitzel came with two tablespoons of fried potatoes, no joke. I had to laugh at the absurdity of the sight. 😀

A little bit of a journey from our hotel, but an excellent choice for our first dinner in Munich! We were looking for authentic German cuisine and were not disappointed. The food and drinks were excellent and made for an excellent start to our trip. Despite having a bit of a language barrier, our server was as helpful as he could be and attentive. With mostly locals as our fellow diners, it was clear that this was a popular restaurant in the area. Overall we would recommend checking it out if you are looking for great food and a fun, authentic atmosphere.

ATTENTION!!! SPOILED FOOD I ordered food yesterday afternoon, and both the Kaiserschmarrn with apple sauce and the Käsespätzle tasted and smelled spoiled. I'm absolutely appalled and disgusted... after reporting it to wolt, I was just put off, and now I'm stuck with the cost, and the food ended up in the trash, thanks for nothing. I strongly advise against ordering or eating here...

Addendum 2025: now a real Augustiner again, good food, always full, very good service, no comparison to before! Actually a wonderful place, actually. The best beer in Munich. But when you go out again, you have all the kitchen smell in your clothes and unfortunately the food has gotten worse. A lot of convenience and less taste. Five stars go to the waitresses who are always on point!

We have been completely happy here so far. Excellent food in a wonderful Bavarian atmosphere and, above all, very important: We go to restaurants a lot and we are rarely greeted, served and said goodbye in such a courteous, hospitable and warm manner. Thanks! :)

Food used to be much better, both in terms of taste and price. Service was still friendly, so 3 stars because the food wasn't a complete disaster. It's just a shame to see how much the quality has declined.

I can only recommend the Sendlinger Augustiner. For a restaurant in the middle of beautiful Sendling, the prices are absolutely OK. The food is delicious and very filling. There are always certain theme days. We were there on Tuesday, on roast pork and knuckle day. Then certain dishes are cheaper. I had a really big knuckle with 2 dumplings and coleslaw for €14.80, almost impossible to make, super delicious, but you should be very hungry. Thursday, for example, is schnitzel day. The Kaiserschmarrn looked very tasty, but there wasn't much left in it...too much. The service is great and the waitresses are all really nice. It was just a lot going on and a bit loud. But it's clear that the store is buzzing with quality. The Bauma trade fair was also happening. Nevertheless, no one was stressed or annoyed by the service. You can tell that working there has to be fun. We have been there several times and always make reservations just to be on the safe side. We will continue to eat there.

The ambience is great, but the service management seems to pass on the work stress directly to the customers. Unfortunately there was a lot of vinegar in the soup. But nice atmosphere and the rest of the team are great!

We were just having dinner with a group of 5 people, one of whom was in a wheelchair. When we arrived, they saw that there was a wheelchair and changed the table and the food was simply divine, very tasty, would recommend coming back

Food selection and quality really great. On Saturday evenings we also have Augustiner from a wooden barrel. Prices fair for the quality. We have been regular customers again for many months and it will stay that way. Everything is really done right here. ------ Update 2 from July 27, 2024 ----- Still great. Friendly, very good food. It's clear that the beer (Augustiner on tap) is great. ;-) Child friendly. But the beer has been pouring really badly for a few weeks now. If you wait until the foam is gone, then a few centimeters below the calibration mark. Yes, you can say something. But this is now almost standard and not necessary. This also happens at quiet times, not just when things are hectic. Just pour properly poured beers again, then there's nothing to complain about! Serious review. ------ Update 1 ----- Went again yesterday and everything was great again. Top food, good prices, very courteous and extremely friendly service (w). Beer, as always, unbeatably good. Out of fairness, I hereby revise the former, partly critical assessment. --- former review --- We are basically regular guests and are actually extremely satisfied with the new landlord and team. Great food at fair prices for the quality. Not cheap, but the quality is very good and the portions are large. There are also relatively good vegetarian options. Augustiner beer on tap: what more could you want! Nice outside in the summer too. Unfortunately, this time the waiter (new or unknown to us, but hadn't been there for a while) was almost rude in his tone. The landlord should take a look at it. Even fried potatoes instead of fries with the burger used to be no problem, but now it costs an extra 3.50 euros. Too bad. We'll still come back, but we'll see that one of our regular waiters will serve us.

We got a place on Saturday without a reservation even though it was full. That was very nice. It's tight. You will always be grazed at the seats in the middle - not for introverts or people who quickly get overstimulated, so it's better to reserve a table at the edge. The volume is enormous but fully manageable and you can still have a good conversation. Food expensive like everywhere else. Unfortunately, adults are not allowed to order from the children's menu, although there are little to no options for small appetites. Food was a 10/10 though. The waitresses were nice although absolutely stressed. (Women's) toilets (2) were very tidy.

If you would like to take some coasters as a souvenir you can do so, but ask the staff first otherwise they will go crazy

There wasn't much going on, although it was also Thursday, but it was a schnitzel day. Food was good and cheap (Sendlinger Schnitzel) €14.80. The beer (Augustiner Dunkel) was even better.

Were there for “Burger Day”. Everything as it should be. Delicious burger, good attentive service. Prices ok for Munich, as it was Burger Day the burgers were a little cheaper than usual.

Highly recommended. Came here on a chilly Sunday afternoon after a visit to the Südbad and we were not disappointed. The Spinatknödel was amazing, done perfectly with melted butter, cheese and cherry tomatoes. My daughter's Kinderschnitzel was perfectly cooked and came with sort of curly chips (not just pommes from the freezer). Fresh Augustiner beer from the tap and very friendly, fast service.

Sehr schönes, sauberes, typisch bayrisches Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal und leckerem Essen. Einziges Ärgernis: katastrophal schlechte Parkmöglichkeiten. Daher sollte man - sofern man den PKW benutzt - frühzeitig anreisen, um einen Parkplatz zu finden, bzw. andere Verkehrsmittel nutzen. Ansonsten alles empfehlenswert! Wir kommen wieder!

White sausage breakfast was great There are now new prices all the time. The prices simply increase between Oktoberfest and now it depends on the time. Unfortunately, the staff who also collects the money touches the Baugette, cuts it and throws it into the bread basket. This is not hygienic. Don't want to know what's going on in the kitchen if no one sees it. Staff difficult. Depending on who you catch, you simply have nothing to drink for an hour until you just want to leave, annoyed. But this only affects female waitresses. The gentlemen are usually attentive, but not intrusive. The boss seems really nice too. You don't necessarily have to make a reservation for breakfast. But I would recommend it with a larger group. In summer you can also sit outside. Very rustic restaurant with Augustiner beer. Cappuchino always depends on the Brista. Sometimes edible, sometimes like coffee with milk. The schnapps are particularly recommended! Parking on the street is no longer so easy (resident parking), except on weekends. So it's better to come by bike or on foot.

Chasing friendly and consuming guests away from the table at 6:45 p.m. because it is reserved for 7:30 p.m. without the chance to say a nice goodbye is a fast food mentality. I personally don't need it, and you don't seem to want me as a guest either.

From Barcelona Spain to this restaurant, incredible!! The best thing was the waiter, a tall boy with no hair and very friendly, perfect English!!! Nice ambience. Reservations for 14 people at three tables in the back of the restaurant were good. The Kaiserschmarn was very good. Food was OK but service wasn't good. One out of 14 people wanted soup as a starter. The waiter advised against this because otherwise he would have had to order the soup separately in the kitchen. The waiters didn't know which schnitzel they were serving. Veal was confused with pork schnitzel and pork schnitzel with Munich schnitzel. Unfortunately we couldn't all eat together. The meatloaf was served cold. Of the three red wines on the menu there were only two. A table was forgotten when ordering dessert. Unfortunately, expectations of our visit were not met. Too bad.
