Very authentic Swiss cuisine and owner. We happened to be at a raclette/fondue event and had an unforgettable experience. Lots of explanations, lots of passion. Very tasty food. I will go there again! ❤️

From the moment I walked through the door, I felt transported to my grandmother's warm and inviting home. The restaurant's atmosphere is so homely and comforting that it feels like they are cooking exclusively for you. To start, I tried a starter that was a real surprise: a potato sushi. The combination of textures and flavors was simply perfect, an innovative fusion that I did not expect to find in a Swiss restaurant. The main course was a classic Cordon Bleu, prepared to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, with a crispy breading that wonderfully complemented the cheese and ham filling. Every bite was a delight. I decided to leave the dessert to the chef's recommendation, and they did not disappoint. They surprised me with a caramelized apple dessert accompanied by ice cream. The apple was perfectly caramelized, with an ideal balance between sweetness and acidity, and the ice cream was the perfect complement to close the meal with a flourish. In short, this restaurant is totally recommended. The quality of the food, the attention to detail and the welcoming atmosphere make each visit a memorable experience. Without a doubt, a place I will return to

On April 3, 2024, the four of us visited Mr. Abgottspon's cooking school after we heard a report from Mr. Gote about Mr. Abgottspon's first-class cheese fondue on WDR 5 ("Everything in Butter" podcast). In his podcast, Mr. Gote raves highly about a first-class culinary experience and we can confirm this without reservation. These cheese fondues were a real experience! We tried two, the house mix and one with fried ham cubes and fried onions. As a special treat, Mr. Abgottspon cooks directly in the restaurant on his kitchen island. You can experience the preparation of the food directly and the resulting scents will make your guests' mouths water beforehand. After the meal, Mr. Abgottspon came to our table to ask how we liked it. This first visit to his restaurant was definitely not our last and we will continue to nibble our way through the menu. My tip: definitely go there.

After an enthusiastic report from radio chef Helmut Gote (WDR 2 + 5) about the cheese fondue and raclette that René Abgottspon serves in Düsseldorf, the four of us set out on a journey to the À LA CARTE restaurant in the Swiss cooking school. Helmut Gote's enthusiasm is more than understandable: None of us have ever tasted such a fantastic cheese fondue! (There were even two: we chose the house mix and the version with bacon cubes and fried onions.) A truly exceptional culinary highlight! The first taste impressions basically blew you away: WOW - that was a magnificent, new, completely unexpected level of culinary delight! Plus a location where the chef works in the same room and you can visually follow the preparation (which is increasingly desirable due to the delicious smells). And a very likeable chef himself. We definitely won't have made the 70 km journey for the last time. Absolute recommendation: go there and enjoy something extraordinary!

Today we went to the Swiss cooking school for dinner for the first time. I have never tasted such fantastic cheese fondue. The apple pie with vanilla sauce is a poem. Sitting like that in the kitchen of a restaurant is something special. We really enjoyed the evening here and would love to come back.

Ein eindrucksvoller, lehrreicher und vor allem sehr sehr leckerer Abend!!! Rene ist ein toller Lehrmeister, sehr angenehmer Gastgeber, der innerhalb kürzester Zeit eine authentische und wohlfühlende Atmosphäre schafft, ohne dass er das Ziel - ein wunderbares 4-Gänge-Menü zu kochen - aus dem Blick verliert. Die Schweizer Kochschule kann ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Danke Rene!!!

Yesterday we were at Mr. Rene Abgottspon's cooking school with around 50 people on the occasion of a company event. We felt extremely comfortable there from the start, both Rene and his service team welcomed us gave the feeling that they were doing everything they could to make this event an unforgettable experience - and they succeeded. Cooking together, interacting and communicating with each other was a lot of fun The evening flew by. We also get the recipes to recreate the menu, so we will definitely remember the experience for a long time. The motto was food makes you happy – there is no better way to sum up this evening. We wish Rene Abgottspon and his team continued success and will definitely recommend his cooking school!

Not just a great cooking school. Excellent dishes are prepared in front of your eyes with contact with the chef. The cheese fondue is excellent and addictive. We will be back

It was the first time that I (and everyone else) spent an evening at this cooking school. A great menu made from high-quality ingredients and excellent wines were combined with attentive service, charming instructions and moderation by René, so that everyone had a lot of fun cooking, eating, drinking and laughing together. We had the pleasure of a very private dinner with René and his warm wife. I think the only time I've ever had a meal cooked at home was this fresh. It was incredibly delicious!! My boyfriend is from Switzerland and I have been living there for almost 7 years and we both almost took our shoes off because of the enjoyment. A wonderful evening! Letzte Woche war ich wieder einmal bei René in seiner Schweizer Kochschule zum einem Kochabend mit der Überschrift Edelfische. Es war wieder ein perfekter Abend. René und sein Team sind tolle Gastgeber, die die Gäste mit einem leckeren Aperitif und leckeren Häppchen begrüßen. Er legt großen Wert auf hochwertige Zutaten und gute Kochuntensilien, mit denen zu arbeiten großen Spaß macht. Die Ergebnisse konnten sich nicht nur sehen lassen, sie haben auch sehr lecker geschmeckt.

Als Schweizer in Düsseldorf musste ich das neue a la Carte Restaurant der sonstigen Kochschule und Catering probieren und war begeistert! Auch im eigenen Land habe ich Schweizerisch so gut wahrscheinlich noch nie gegessen! Was Rene Abgottspon aus der bodenständigen Schweizer Küche zaubert ist aussergewöhnlich und jeden Besuch wert.

Ein sensationelles Essen Mit meinem Besuch aus der Schweiz und aus Kanada waren wir vor kurzem bei Dagmar und René essen. Es ist einfach fantastisch, zuzusehen, mit welcher Ruhe und Gelassenheit die vielfältigen Speisen zubereitet wurden. Das Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Mit 13 Mädels haben wir einen JGA kulinarisch in der Schweizer Kochschule gestartet. Es war ein tolles Event, Rene, und ich werde dich sehr gerne weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank auch für das wunderbare Menü und das sehr individuelle Eingehen auf die Lebensmittelallergiker. Du hast die Herausforderung angenommen und sehr kreativ umgesetzt. Lovingly run clubhouse, ideal for family celebrations, general parties and relaxation on terraces on three sides of the building. To drink there is Füchschen Alt, Bitburger Pils, various wines and wine-based drinks, all kinds of soft drinks as well as a large selection of fine spirits. A small menu provides additional physical well-being. If you order in advance and there are enough guests, you can also grill as desired. The food for events can range from rustic to cavier. The Michelin gourmet guide won't find this little gem, so I give it five out of five stars.
