Staudi's Restaurant in Düsseldorf

Food was okay, customer service was so-so. We had a reservation for four people and were aware of the cancellation fee. Unfortunately, the other couple had to cancel at short notice due to acute illness. We couldn't get through by phone and showed up as a couple. We were told we'd still have to pay the fee, since they'd already bought the right amount. It was very odd that a couple at the next table spontaneously dropped in (so, you always plan ahead). Given the ambiance, they could have at least offered an espresso or a drink on the house. The food was good, but the consistency was often similar, with lots of foam. A shame. We certainly won't be coming back.

We had a very pleasant evening there. The atmosphere is cozy and beautifully decorated. The extremely attentive and friendly service makes you feel immediately at home. The food was very good; we enjoyed both the vegetarian and the regular menu. The aperitif and other drinks were also very good.

We were there yesterday for my birthday. The welcome was extremely warm, and the service attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed the ambiance of a former butcher's shop, as it had been very cozy and tastefully renovated. The five-course menu was an absolute dream. The quality of the ingredients, the fish, and the meat course were exceptionally good. Just under €350 for two people isn't exactly a bargain, but the visit was definitely worth it. We'll be back.

My wife and I had a Wedding Anniversary dinner and the team of Staudi made the dinner really special. Since the cocktail to the food and wine recommendation, everything was excellent. Wonderful food with often surprising taste experiences

We had a Fine Dine voucher and used it with four friends. We received a very friendly, open, and welcoming welcome. The ambiance in an "old butcher shop" is very cozy, and you immediately feel at home. The menu was harmonious, innovative, and incredibly delicious. The young sommelier accompanied us throughout the evening with great expertise and excellent wines. The dessert was the crowning glory. A not exactly inexpensive treat, but worth every cent. We would gladly go back!

Fine food & a complete sense of well-being Our first evening at Staudis was something very special. What impressed us most, besides the great food, was the warm welcome from the very beginning. The service was not only professional, but above all warm and attentive, and they took us (as fine dining newbies) by the hand and guided us through the evening in a very pleasant way. The menu was creative and flavorful, spot on. The wine pairings were bold and surprisingly harmonious – for example, sake with asparagus and potato tart, which worked perfectly. An evening that will stay with us – not just because of the quality, but because we simply felt at home throughout. We will definitely be back.

We were there for the first time. There is an excellent restaurant in this former butcher's shop. The ambience is unique and the menu was sensational. We've never had onion ice cream for dessert. The wine pairing was great, the service was unobtrusive but courteous, friendly and professional. We will come here again, we can only recommend this small and fine restaurant!

Ein Restaurant mit Ambitionen. Das verrät schon der Blick in die Karte. 129€ für sechs Gänge. Respekt, das lässt einen Sternelevel erwarten. Leider ist die Küche doch recht weit davon entfernt. Die japanisch inspirierte Maultasche im ersten Gang schmeckte recht belanglos und vor allem nach Zwiebel. Die Makrele im zweiten Gang war viel zu stark geräuchert. Die Beurre blanc zur Forelle völlig übersäuert. Die Currysauce zum Schwein schmeckte leider nach Curry Ketchup. Das Dessert war völlig unspektakulär. Der Wein hingegen war sehr gut zusammengestellt, das Ambiente sehr schön und der Service kompetent, aufmerksam und freundlich. Bei dem Preislevel erwartet man gleichwohl sehr viel mehr Qualität beim Essen.

Es war ein Vergnügen, sich auf die durchdachten und kreativen Gänge einzulassen, sie genau anzuschauen, zu riechen und zu schmecken. Ein schöne Komposition aus Optik, vielfältiger Textur und Aromen. Ebenso haben die liebevolle Einrichtung und die Gastfreundschaft zur besonderen Atmosphäre beigetragen. Es mah überschwänglich klingen, aber ich finde, das Restaurant hat es verdient.

For this price I was expecting a refined cuisine, with subtly balanced flavors. It was not the case. Out of 5 dishes, 2 were heavily salty (we could not taste anything else). The wine was mediocre at best. Expected better for 15€ a glass. I don’t know if we came on a bad evening (this can happen) or if it is the regular level of food. If you’re used to (or expect) Michelin star level food, you should skip it.

Sehr schöner Laden, sehr nettes, kompetentes und freundliches Personal, sehr gute Drinks. Das Essen entsprach nicht unseren Vorstellungen - Preis / Leistung. Zu viel Säure und somit etwas über der Grenze zu gut gekonnt (Gruß aus der Küche, Suppe). Mein Fleisch war für 6h gegart, leider viel zu fest. Des Weiteren wurde ein Pulver über das Gericht gestreut, was die Textur unangenehm beeinflusste. Nachtisch war wiederum lecker, leider war das Schokoladen Plättchen geschmacklos. Das Ganze hat dann knapp 280€ für zwei Personen (inkl. alkoholfreie Getränke gekostet). Mein Fazit: Alles sehr schön und gut gemacht - dass Essen passt leider nicht zum Laden und zum Preis. Ich bin viel in Deutschland unterwegs und habe genug Vergleiche. Gruß

Diese sagt saisonale und nachhaltige innovative Küche ist ein Sterne Anwärter. Der erfrischende aufmerksame an diesem Abend bedienende Sommelière teilt die Philosophie der Küche. Diese Berufung und die Freude merkt man in seinen Erklärungen und der Liebe zu seinem Beruf! Es gibt wechselnde Menüs mit Fleisch und Fisch und auch vegetarisch . Die Auswahl der Weine war ausgewogen und hochwertig. Ich habe mich für die alkoholfreie Variante entschieden. Alleine die alten zum größten Teil belassenen alten Räumlichkeiten sind es schon wert sie anzusehen. Es war vorher eine alte Metzgerei mit einem besonderen Flair. Wer etwas besonderes ausgefallenes und Ressourcen schonendes sucht ist hier genau richtig. Wir und unsere Gäste waren sehr zufrieden und werden diese besondere Location auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen.

Qualität und Ambiente sind außergewöhnlich und hervorragend . Das kleine Restaurant ist in den Räumen einer ehemaligen Metzgerei. Sehr gemütlicher Gastraum im Bistro-Stil mit Jungenstilelementen. Es gibt 2 wechselnde Menus, eines davon vegetarisch; man kann sich jeweils zwischen 4, 5 oder 6 Gängen entscheiden. Das Essen ist hervorragend und mit vielen außergewöhnlichen Aromen zubereitet. Die Gerichte sind optisch sehr schön auf den Tellern angerichtet; jedes Gericht könnte sofort für einen Food-Kalender genutzt werden. Jeder Bissen ist ein Geschmackserlebnis. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Beim Servieren werden die Gerichte vom Service-Personal erläutert; zu jedem Gang gab es eine Weinempfehlung. Für Liebhaber sehr guten Essens ein außergewöhnliches Restaurant

Just great! Great atmosphere and great food with very good service. We chose the 4 course menu and after the 3rd course we were sad that dessert came next. We'd love to come back!

We had a 5 or 6 course menu, unfortunately, despite the charming atmosphere there, I have to say in hindsight that the quality deteriorated with each course and, in particular, the meat from the main course was so dry that it was difficult to chew. With one star and the prices you can expect more.

Had a wonderful evening with amazing food. We found Staudi’s off the Michelin Guide looking specifically for vegetarian options. We chose the 6 course option, (would say that’s the best choice if you want to feel full afterwards). The entrees and main did not disappoint and offered dishes that had new and interesting tastes to explore. We also chose the recommended wine bottle for the menu. Overall we liked all the dishes with the exception of the dessert (overwhelmingly sweet), which is a bit of a bummer since it didn’t end with a bang. Service was great and we got all the explanations in english ☺️

We had a great evening at Staudi’s, thank you very much! I was completely taken by the cozy boho-style atmosphere. Service from Stephan was courteous, very friendly and extremely competent. For dinner there was a choice between 2 menus (vegetarian/non-vegetarian) and a deluxe evening meal, all with seasonal products. We had the vegetarian menu in 6 courses for just under €90 per person. and were very satisfied. Absolutely great in terms of taste, clear recommendation. However, a few components of the menu were slightly adjusted or replaced, which was ok and still very tasty, I would just have liked to have been informed about this when ordering and not when it was served. Only mini criticism. All in all a 5/5 for me 👌

Heerlijke avond onder begeleiding van goede sommelier die alle tijd nam om gerechten en wijn toe te lichten. Vegetarische menu geweldig goed, hoog op smaak. Mooie oude art nouveau inrichting en origineel plafond en vloer uit 1905 maken de inrichting helemaal af. Aanrader!

Only eight best vegetarian menus in Germany were named by the Michelin Guide amongst which Staudi’s Restaurant is the only one without a Michelin star (yet). The menu was delicious and full of taste sensations and demonstrated that you can enjoy the full taste with vegetarian options. We also chose the accompanying wine menu and wine and dishes complemented each other in a fabulous way. 5 stars from our side.

Bereits der erste Gang ließ uns staunen – die frischen und farbenfrohen Präsentationen der Vorspeisen waren ein Augenschmaus. Besonders beeindruckt waren wir jedoch vom Blumenkohlgericht. Es war perfekt zubereitet, mit einer wunderbaren Kombination aus Texturen und Aromen, die uns wirklich umgehauen haben. Auch das Dessert war ein echtes Highlight. Die unterschiedlichen Komponenten harmonierten perfekt miteinander und boten ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis. Die Desserts waren nicht nur optisch ansprechend, sondern auch geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau. Neben dem fantastischen Essen war auch der Service herausragend. Die Bedienung war nicht nur aufmerksam und professionell, sondern führte auch freundliche und informative Gespräche mit uns. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!

We went to Staudi's for the first time this week and were completely thrilled. The food was at least the best we've eaten in a very long time - sensationally good. 4 people with tips = €580. A price almost at the level of a 1-star kitchen. In turn, we were seated at 2 tiny bistro tables and had almost no room to move, let alone maneuver. After the first course, we were asked to take our dirty cutlery out of the plates ourselves and place the utensils soaked in sauce and puree back on the remaining few square centimeters of these dwarf tables, right next to our elbows. This one piece of cutlery had to bravely endure all 6 courses and carried the taste and color of the previous dish with it into the next course... to be honest... that was a little bit disgusting and in no way fits the asking price. It also doesn't fit with the customs of a multi-course upscale menu. So you eat in the brewery and enjoy dipping your sauerbraten fork into the apple pie with vanilla sauce... The personal service at the table was friendly, unobtrusive and nice - unfortunately he could only provide service within the framework of the restaurant policy, which is why I can only give this 3 stars and ask that more cutlery be exchanged! . The dishes were all professionally prepared, but in no way was there anything that could be understood as a declaration of war on the first star we were aiming for. Everything tasted consistently conventional, certainly upscale, but without the expected kick and far from the expected inspiration and imagination. Also, 2 of the dishes were a bit oversalted (and I'm really a fan of well-salted foods). Unfortunately, for the price you only get 3 stars all over. sorry.

Always worth a trip to Düsseldorf! Unique ambience, service and food are unique!!!!

We visited Staudi's for the first time on a Wednesday evening and were really impressed by the beautiful Art Nouveau ambience and the warm welcome. Our drink requests were quickly accommodated and the evening could begin. The beer was nice and cold and the Campari Sprizz was well mixed. Then came super crispy, fresh bread with butter and a greeting from the kitchen: tartlets with chestnut crema, chicory salad and avocado. Wow! This looks really promising. Since there are only two menus here, one vegetarian and one with meat/fish, we decided on both. So it started in the first course with “Himmel & Ähd”. Once with fish (great contrast, very tasty fish) and once with beetroot. Everything was right here too! The second course was simply called “Herb & Cheese” and behind it were pierogi with mountain cheese and cabbage filling in an onion soup with mountain cheese. We continued with “Fish fingers with tartar sauce” and here too the understatement was merciless. The fish was super tasty and the vegetarian version with parsnips was also great. Here in particular there were stark contrasts (chestnut cream with miso paste), but they tasted great. And so it continues. The “Stulle from the beef shoulder” and “from the oyster mushroom” were also great cinema. We continued with the “roast pork and dumplings” or “dumplings and cheese leeks”. Here, too, there is more on offer than the name suggests. The dessert was the trio “pear, ginger, chocolate”. Delicious! We were served delicious wines, the service was always very attentive and we really had a successful evening. It's a bit more expensive, but the overall package is just very good!

An einem Mittwochabend haben wir zum ersten Mal das Staudi's besucht und waren wirklich vom schönen Jugendstil-Ambiente und dem herzlichen Empfang begeistert. Schnell wurden unsere Getränkewünsche aufgenommen und der Abend konnte starten. Das Bier war schön kalt und der Campari Sprizz gut gemixt. Dann kam auch schon super knuspriges, frisches Brot mit Butter und ein Gruß aus der Küche: Tartelets mit Maronencrecreme, Chicoréesalat und Avocado. Wow! Das sieht wirklich vielversprechend aus. Da es hier nur zwei Menüs gibt, einmal vegetarisch und einmal "normal" haben wir uns für beide entschieden. So ging es dann im ersten Gang mit "Himmel & Ähd" los. Einmal mit Fisch (super Kontrast, sehr leckerer Fisch) und einmal mit Rote Beete. Auch hier stimmte alles! Der 2. Gang hieß schlicht "Kraut & Käse" und dahinter versteckten sich Piroggi mit Bergkäse und Krautfüllung in einer Zwiebelsuppe mit Bergkäse. Weiter ging es mit "Fischstäbchen mit Remoulade" und auch hier wurde gnadenlos untertrieben. Der Fisch war super lecker und auch die vegetarische Variante mit Pastinake war klasse. Gerade hier gab es krasse Kontraste (Maronencreme mit Miso-Paste), die aber grandios geschmeckt haben. Und so ging es weiter. Die "Stulle von der Rinderschulter" bzw. "vom Austernpilz" waren auch großes Kino. Weiter ging es mit dem "Schweinebraten und Knödel" bzw. "Knödel und Käse-Lauch". Auch hier wird mehr geboten als der Name es vermuten lässt. Das Dessert bildete das Trio "Birne, Ingwer, Schokolade". Super lecker! Dazu wurden uns leckere Weine kredenzt, der Service war immer sehr aufmerksam und so hatten wir wirklich einen gelungenen Abend. Es ist zwar etwas hochpreisiger, aber das Gesamtpaket ist einfach nur sehr gut!

Ein relativ kleines Restaurant das von außen eher unscheinbar auf der Münsterstraße erscheint. Geht man rein überwältigt einen das Ambiente. Das Essen hier war außerordentlich gut! Definitiv auf Sterne-Niveau. Deutsche Klassiker einfach Mal neu interpretiert und extrem raffiniert umgesetzt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und auch der Wein zur Begleitung war sehr lecker. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt hier vollkommen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Einer der seltenen Restaurantbesuche bei dem wirklich alles gepasst hat. Super freundlicher, aber nicht aufdringlicher Service. Schönes, modern-rustikales Ambiente. Super Essen. Jeder einzelne Gang hatte etwa Besonderes. Selbst simple Beilagen, wie zB ein Kartoffelsalat hatten das gewisse extra. Definitiv zu empfehlen & seinen Preis wert.

A lovely evening. Service is excellent, extremely friendly, efficient and professional. Food is good, but not quite there. Very inventive and a notch away from Michelin level. The amuse bouche was the star of the show and that's a bit of a sad statement. It should be the prelude to an even better show. I felt that many of the dishes were missing an acid component. The kohlrabi tacos were a genius concept but fell flat as there was no acid. Needed lime or something. Similar for the lobster course. The beef was unfortunately quite tough. The sauces on all the dishes were excellent though, rich and complex and full of flavour. Dessert was also excellent and a great use of texture. All in all a good night, but for the price paid I would have liked the food to hit that next level.

Wir haben das Menü gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Selbst unsere Umbestellung war problemlos möglich. Der Service war schnell und aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Auch wenn nicht alles unseren Geschmack getroffen hat, würden wir jederzeit wieder kommen.

Fantastic! Yesterday, by chance we stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant. From the moment you enter you're in heavenly bliss. Furnished with great care to detail you can feel how much this restaurant means to the owners. Our host was very attentive and explained the dishes in a friendly manner. The food was exquisite and we enjoyed it immensely. What a perfect evening.

The restaurant is beautiful, the food was delicious & staff was more than amazing! We ordered a la carte, but will definitely come back to try the 5 course option! Our food was delicious and drinks were also really nice! Thank you for making our first visit so special and we are looking forward to the next one!

Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend dort. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Servicekraft (wohl auch Besitzerin) war flott und sehr nett. Dennoch dürfen in einem so tollen und hochpreisigen Lokal keine Lippenstift Rückstände auf dem Geschirr sein - auch wenn es "nur" ein Amuse-Bouche ist. Sehr sehr schade, denn das drückt doch auf die Stimmung während des ganzen Menüs und man ist doch versucht, alles Geschirr und Besteck doppelt so genau anzuschauen, auch wenn wir es uns nicht anmerken ließen. Sehr schade.

Sehr schönes Ambiente mit leckerem Essen und super Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Leider war dieser Lokal sehr beeindrückend, was den schlechten Umgang mit der Gastschaft angeht! Nie wieder dahin.. Hätte eine bessere Service erwartet aber Naja!

Sehr schönes Ambiente, voll netter & absolut kompetenter Inhaber geführtes Restaurant. Es gab 2 amuse geule .Der geheim Tipp; alkoholfreier Champagner. Das 5 Gang Menu ( man kann auch a la carte nehmen) war traumhaft. Megaa lecker. Es war ein rund um perfekter Samstag Abend.

Alles top! Essen hervorragend! Top Qualität! Super netter Service! Einfach ein rundum tolles Erlebnis! Vielen Dank!
