Essen Super. Der Kellner könnte aufmerksamer sein. Klare Empfehlung

Wir saßen in wunderschönen Augustiner Biergarten im Bavaria Park - trotz Feiertag und Traumwetter- entspannte Atmosphäre und super nette Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir waren mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs.

Fantastisches Essen, Getränke und Service!!! Wir hatten ein köstliches Essen und wurden von unserem Kellner hervorragend bedient.

Wir sind früher immer sehr gern hierher gegangen. Leider scheint in diesem Frühjahr entweder der Besitzer oder die Küche gewechselt zu haben, denn die Qualität des Essens hat sehr stark nachgelassen, zum Beispiel waren die Semmelknödel zum Fleisch nicht mehr frisch, sondern ganz offensichtlich aus der Packung und das Schnitzel nicht gut ausgebacken wie früher sondern ziemlich fad. Das ist beides unschön und auch der Service ist nicht mehr so gut wie früher sondern lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Schade.

Bedienung komplett dicht und hat weder neue Gäste wahr genommen noch bestehende abkassiert. Was ist da los ? Sind wieder gegangen ohne zu bestellen

Schöne Lage, gutes Essen, faire Preise und freundliches Personal. Leider war das Fassbier verdorben, vermutlich aufgrund eines nicht überprüften Kühlungsproblems.

Der Biergarten war gut besucht, wir wollten noch kurz auf ein Bier einkehren. Die Bedienung hat uns betitelt als „voll“ was wir erst als Scherz angesehen haben und dachten es wäre der Humor der Kellnerin. Weit gefehlt, wir wurden 45 min vor Ladenschluss verwiesen. Egal alle Geschäfte in der Nachbarschaft leben die Gastfreundschaft. hier NE WIEDER

Wir kommen an und fragen, ob es noch warme Küche gibt. Der Kellner sagt ja. Wir setzen uns hin und stellen fest, dass die Hälfte der Karte durchgestrichen ist. Wir wählen aus den Resten der Karte. Dann sagt uns der Kellner: Ja, das gibt es auch nicht und das auch nicht. Wir bestellen die Reste, was noch möglich ist. Es schmeckt nicht, es ist steinhart. Der Kellner kommt uns entgegen und storniert ein Gericht - ohne Bezahlung. Trotzdem, Was ein scheiß Abend!

Wunderschöner Ort, fantastisches Essen! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Dieser Ort ist einfach fantastisch! Authentische und köstliche bayerische Küche in gemütlicher und freundlicher Atmosphäre. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und das Essen das beste, das ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe.

Sehr gutes Essen wir waren mehrmals dort. Schweinebraten und haxe immer frisch Knödel und Krautsalat hausgemacht, das Böflamott auch sehr gut. Der Kaiserschmarrn ein Gedicht. Schöne Atmosphäre obendrein was will man mehr ...

Sehr gemütliches und angenehmes Ambiente. Köstliches Essen und sehr guter Service.

Das gemütlich wirkende Gasthaus, benannt nach dem in München geborenen Bildhauer Ludwig Schwanthaler (1802–1848), einem Vertreter des Klassizismus, besticht durch sein ansprechendes Ambiente mit Holzvertäfelung, alten Drucken und Hopfenpflanzen. Wir waren zweimal dort zum Abendessen, doch die Bestellung ist ein kleines Glücksspiel: Die knusprige Schweinshaxe mit zwei fluffigen Knödeln schmeckte gut, die lauwarmen Spinatknödel (mit matschigen Tomaten und einer geschmacklosen Garnitur) hingegen waren ungenießbar. Auch die Apfelkrapfen hinterließen mit ihrem fettigen Geschmack keinen guten Eindruck. Zuerst dachten wir, die einzige Bedienung (vielleicht die Wirtin) sei etwas mürrisch, aber das erwies sich als Irrtum. Sie half zusätzlich in der Küche aus und war verständlicherweise vom ständigen Trubel gestresst – daher machte sie ihre Aufgabe als Gastgeberin durchaus gut. Für ein unkompliziertes Treffen ist das Gasthaus in Ordnung, aber man verpasst nichts Besonderes.

Erstaunlich, dass es ein so uriges und gemütliches typisch bay'risches Wirtshaus mitten in München noch gibt. Der Gedanke beim abendlichen Essen: die guten alten Zeiten. Wer das sucht, inklusive leckerer Hausmannskost, der ist hier richtig. Schönes Ambiente, freundlicher Services gutes Essen. Einziger Tipp an das Team wäre, zu schauen, dass die Teller gleich auf den Tisch kommen. Bei meiner Bestellung war der Kartoffelbrei leider nicht mehr sehr warm. Ansonsten gerne wieder.

Ich hatte eine Fliege im Essen – ich kann dieses Restaurant absolut nicht empfehlen. Ich war gestern in diesem Restaurant und hatte eine furchtbare Erfahrung. Ich fand tatsächlich eine Fliege in meinem Essen, was absolut inakzeptabel ist – vor allem, nachdem ich 50 Euro ausgegeben habe und dann keine Insekten im Essen haben wollte. Als ich mich beschwerte, entschuldigte sich die Kellnerin und brachte mir als Entschädigung einen Schnaps. Das Problem? Ich hatte Wasser bestellt. Ich trinke keinen Alkohol (sie hatte mich nicht einmal gefragt). Als die Rechnung kam, war kein Rabatt abgezogen. Ich fragte sie direkt danach, und sie sagte kategorisch nein! Sie behauptete, der Schnaps sei die Entschädigung. Ich erklärte ihr erneut, dass ich keinen Alkohol trinke, woraufhin sie anbot, „etwas anderes“ von der Bar zu holen. Ich sagte ihr aber deutlich, dass mir ein Rabatt zustand, weil ich eine Fliege in meinem Essen gefunden hatte. Sie weigerte sich wieder. 50 Euro auszugeben und dann eine Fliege im Essen zu finden, ist inakzeptabel. Ekelhafte Hygiene und schrecklicher Kundenservice. Ich werde nicht wiederkommen und kann diesen Ort absolut NICHT empfehlen.

Der junge Mann im Service wirkte teilweise etwas überfordert, war aber freundlich, seine Kollegin wirkte genervt. Die Panade vom Schnitzel war teilweise etwas pappig, was aber an der Kombination Meerrettich/Senf in der Panade gelegen haben könnte. Die Bratkartoffeln waren nicht richtig durchgegart und zu fettig. Der Kaiserschmarrn war teilweise zu dunkel. Das war jetzt nichts, was ich hätte reklamieren müssen, da man es essen konnte allerdings würde ich dort auch nicht mehr hingehen.

The server tried her best and was friendly, but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Maybe they were new? I wouldn't go back to Schwanthaler.

Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. The quality of the food and the service left much to be desired. The waiter was friendly, but seemed somewhat overwhelmed. My dish was fine, but my companion's was a different story: the fried potatoes and the hash were practically dripping with grease, and the soup with dumplings had to be returned because the dumpling inside was still frozen. Instead of showing understanding or simply bringing a new plate, the owner reacted extremely rudely and started arguing with us. She even made us feel untrustworthy and claimed she had tasted the dumpling herself – at a time when it had been floating in the hot soup, cut into small pieces, for quite a while and had plenty of time to thaw. When a roast pork was finally served, whose potato dumpling inside was also not properly thawed, it was clear to us: neither the quality nor the customer service was up to par. For a restaurant in this price range, this is absolutely unacceptable. That's a shame – we really expected more.

A great inn with a great owner! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely! Hats off to the landlady for rocking the packed place on her own! Katharina...we'd love to come back next time we're in Munich!

After an hour and a half of waiting, my order wasn't served because the cook had forgotten it. We waited in the cold to avoid being served. Finally, we went to the kebab shop across the street to eat.

The waitress Catalina was very rude and not accommodating. She found every reason to not help our large group and was extremely combative. The food is not worth the terrible service.

The food was okay. I found the roast pork a bit dry, but subjectively, that's well done. Other diners felt the pork knuckle could benefit from a bit more seasoning. The service was prompt and competent.

Honest restaurant with good cuisine and very friendly, human service. The Kaiserschmarrn is one of the best. Everything tastes good here and the prices are fair. Despite a very short-term outage, the owner managed the “store” extremely well and there was an atmosphere full of happy people. Worth a visit for every occasion (maybe not a candlelight dinner). Come back soon :)

Wir waren an einem Donnerstag Abend da und jeder Platz war belegt. Es ist klein, urig und gemütlich. Die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. Der Kaiserschmarrn, war der beste den ich je gegessen habe. Er war mega fluffig, kein bisschen trocken und hat hervorragend geschmeckt!

Siamo arrivate senza prenotazione ma siamo state subito accolte con gentilezza dalla hostessa che ci ha spiegato in italiano il contenuto dei piatti. Locale tipico bavarese ,cibo abbondantissimo e super saporito nonché super calorico: buonissimo . Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.

After a short wait, four of us got a place. Very nice staff. The landlady personally - close to the guest. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was very good, pleasant portions, salad as a starter, had various dishes, everyone was very satisfied. Good drinks menu, including non-alcoholic beer. We'd love to come back.

Good, down-to-earth cuisine at reasonable prices. We had Munich Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu, both very tasty. The dining room is also very cozy. Gladly again at any time.

Rustic, honest, delicious and authentic. Thank you that there are still “Munich” places that are simply normal and friendly. Without a card in which everything ends with a pseudo-Bavarian "-erl" like Supperl etc. There is simply not enough relaxed hospitality like here in Munich. As an Upper Bavarian, I'll be back. Small and cozy tavern with regular food. The pork knuckle was undercooked. The duck lacked its characteristic flavor. The potato noodles were served with a beetroot sauce that had way too much cheese in it. Only the Munich schnitzel really convinced us. In terms of desserts, we liked the apple fritters but not the Lebkuchen tiramisu. All in all, I couldn't come back.

We went here twice in a recent visit to Munich. Love everything about this place. Food was excellent...we had the schnitzel, stew and pork knuckles. All were excellent. Service both times was excellent.

Even without a reservation and just after the restaurant opened, we were warmly welcomed and treated to great hospitality. Food was rustic and really very good, exactly how it should taste, without a lot of frills but tasted perfect.

I don't understand the good reviews. The food is okay, but nothing special. Above all, it bears no relation to the price, which is far too high. Even with classic tourist traps in the city center, the price/performance ratio is better. Addendum: Unfortunately I can't respond to the owner's answer, so here's an addendum. 105€ would have been okay for four meals with drinks if we had been full from the meal or if the meal had been something special. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right here. We said on site that everything was okay. Everything was okay, just not particularly good.

I wonder why as a guest you only get a so-called “intermediate bill”. I'll ask the tax office... Addendum: I had asked for card payment, the lady appeared with an "intermediate invoice" and a card reader. Then why the “interim bill”? And of course there was no final bill.

We were the 5 French people on Sunday 22/09 evening. No problem booking, everything was done simply over the phone with a person who spoke English. The restaurant is elegant in a Bavarian style, on a rather quiet street with their eye-catching sign, a sign of quality. We were pleasantly surprised by the German cuisine which turned out to be delicious, gourmet and generous. Our choice fell on the Munich-style schnitzel (divine with its comfortable breadcrumbs), as well as the famous Goulash (tasty and fragrant). On the sweet side, we wanted to taste the famous Apfelstrudel and our attentive waitress recommended this to us, a traditional cake whose name remains unpronounceable for us Parisians. Well I guarantee you it was delicious. Well done to the cook! The service was impeccable, the lady who took care of us was attentive to our needs, smiling and charming, taking the time to ensure that everything was to our liking. Musicians playing and singing traditional music enhanced our evening to make it memorable. A big thank you to the entire team of this magnificent restaurant which I obviously recommend to all those who are not afraid to treat themselves 🇫🇷

It's a shame that this beautiful inn isn't run better. Once there was no horseradish in the Munich schnitzel, at least a portion of horseradish was brought to me. But after the fried potatoes were still raw inside the second time, we decided not to eat here anymore. The service could also be a bit friendlier

Really good traditional restaurant with very good food. The service is very friendly and attentive, we were served quickly. Price is reasonable and there is no reason to complain about the quality. The next time I come to Munich I will definitely stop by again.

The thick breading of the schnitzel has crumbled off, so it wasn't coated in flour? Unfortunately, the meat was not premium quality and the fried potatoes were unfortunately almost raw. There was also a small salad with ready-made dressing. To then charge 21.90 EUR for this is borderline cheeky: you'd rather cook yourself! The card machine also grumbled when paying the bill. 3 tables were occupied on Tuesday evening, I think that speaks for itself...

Here you can get good Bavarian cuisine, good beer in a nice atmosphere at reasonable prices. For me one of the best inns in Munich

Where do the good reviews come from? Ham pasta €14 completely dried out and microwaved. Salad with celery schnitzel, iceberg upon iceberg. Nice service, but the dry noodles said I could have said yes. Gave 2 Williams, good food would have been better. Dispensable!

I was traveling solo and decided to give this place a try! I was early on a Monday afternoon so I was the only person eating there…so I had excellent service!!! Food was great!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. We weren't properly greeted and waited over 10 minutes until we got something to drink or the menu (upon request), even though there was nothing going on. The braise was streaked with fat, hard and unseasoned. The starters were delicious. Really sad because it's very comfortable. You don't feel welcome and if you have to constantly wait and ask to be served, it just doesn't put you in the mood. It's better to go somewhere where the innkeepers are happy when we come.

A good choice for a Munich pub. Both vegetarian and meat dishes were served well and the Tegernsee beer was wonderful. If I had to criticize one thing it would be the fried potatoes, which were very greasy. But that's complaining at a high level, we had visited much worse pubs in Munich in the past, so we were very happy with what was on offer at the Schwanthaler.

Very nice place with a traditional atmosphere, food was really good (Kaiserschmarrn was amazing) and the Service was extraordinary. We were there with around 20 people for Dinner and we were not the only guests but the waitress was really kind, food arrived at the same time, just perfect.

Das Schwanthaler Wirtshaus ist ein kleines, gemütliches Wirtshaus nahe der Schwanthaler Höhe. Die Speisekarte bietet alles was man in einem Wirtshaus erwarten würde. Die Gerichte kamen heiß auf den Tisch. Leider war das Wiener Schnitzel für mich etwas klein geraten. Die Bratkartoffeln konnten noch etwas Salz vertragen. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend.

Essen naja Schnitzel wurde Hauch dünn geklopft viel zu sehr Service kamm kaum vorbei Preis Leistung zu teuer!

Wir waren jetzt schon zweimal dort und beide Mal war das Essen eher Durchschnitt. Nicht schlecht aber es gibt weitaus bessere bayerische Wirtschaften in München. Gestern war das Hirschgulasch fast kalt und die Portion war eher auf dem Niveau einer Vorspeise (5 1,5cm große Fleischstücke und die Spätzle hätte man problemlos unter einer Minute abzählen können). Dazu muffig schmeckender Rosenkohl. Portionsgröße des Zwiebelrostbraten auch nicht adäquat zum Preis. Der Palatschinken der Nachspeise war dann auch noch kalt. Wie gesagt, kein Totalausfall aber eben nur durchschnittlich. Wir werden nicht mehr hingehen.

My wife had the Veal schnitzel with fried potatoes, salad and cranberries which she said was exceptional, the crumbs were crispy and flavoursome. I had the special Roast duck with an orange sauce (some served on the plate but with an extra jug on the side) - the duck was tasty but a little dry. Also the side salad was a little sad, might have been made too long ago. The service was a little slow but there was only one person serving and he was getting the drinks as well. He was literally running. We were inside, as outside eating was not on the cards - light rain had been falling just before we arrived. Inside the restaurant would have about 30 seated spots and there were about six drinking at the bar. With the restaurant full and the group at the bar it was quite loud but not over bearing.

Looking for something a bit more relaxed and less tourist driven, we found this restaurant. Good signs, the menu was only available in German, tables were already booked and this was on a Monday night. Staff were friendly and the food was amazing.
