Augustiner Drei Mühlen in München

We were there for a Weißwurst brunch. We just managed to snag the last seat. The staff was super friendly, a bit overwhelmed because they were so busy. I wish they had more support. The man behind the bar was rocking the boat when pouring beer, though. The beer was delicious.

Five of us ate there, and everything was more than satisfactory. Delicious beer and the dishes (from schnitzel with fries to Allgäu loin platter) were top-notch!!! The Powidltatschgerl (smothered dumplings) were especially delicious 😍 We'll definitely be back... Even from Augsburg 😉

A small, lovely, traditional restaurant, unfortunately without a beer garden, but that doesn't matter because it offers a relaxed atmosphere. You receive a warm welcome and everyone who works there is very nice. Drinks arrived quickly, the fantastic food was plentiful and really good, reasonable prices compared to other restaurants. Very dog-friendly. Water was immediately offered on arrival and at the end of the day we left, we were given an extra wiener from the kitchen. We will definitely be back; we had schnitzel, and I really want to try the other dishes too...

The food is ok, the service is EXTREMELY slow and sloppy, so slow that after 45 minutes of waiting for our dessert we had to give up and we just left. The waiters forgot part of the order and our dishes arrived at different times. For mysterious reasons they cannot transfer shifts from one waiter to another so the payment had to be done before we finished eating. The fact of leaving some tips didn't speed up preparation of the dessert. The location is very pleasant though. All in all not recommended.

A half beer for €3.50, white sausages with pretzels from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for €2.95, and the main courses at lunchtime average €15. Insanely good! Keep up the good work!

A nice place to have dinner, top drinks and the waiters are good people, they speak English well and if you don't know it, they will pick up their cell phone and use a translator to help you. The food is very good, it's worth it.

If you are 4+ dudes in munich and want to try schnitzel there is no better place than this. 23€ a person for all the food pictured. Yes seriously. It's not slop either, but delicious schnitzels of all flavors. Honestly can't believe how much food it was, best deal in munich for a small group. Service was great. Small dining area so definitely get a reservation.

Perfect local place for a drink and homemade food away from the main tourist areas.

I've been there several times; the prices are unbeatable. It's also a great place for a morning drink. The service is fantastic; when you're finished with a beer, they immediately ask if you'd like another, and the waiters are nice too. I just find it pretty rude that everyone is wearing long-sleeved shirts and felt vests in 30-degree heat. One star deducted because the portions have gotten smaller over time, even though the prices have also increased.

Outside the restaurant, there's a sign: "You will be seated." We stood there for about 15 minutes and were ignored. Then a server finally had the mercy to come over and tell us that, unfortunately, there was no chance of getting a table for two. They could have told us that 15 minutes earlier.

The waiters did not let us eat in peace, which is pretty uncomfortable. Käse Spätzle was not that good, the fried onions were stale instead of crunchy. But meat dishes were good and big in portions.

The waiter was rude, the smell inside was very bad and when we asked for English Menu he said they didn't have one. When we asked for help to choose some dishes since we didn't speak German he said to use Google translate because he didn't t have time to help us!! Very bad experience. We had also small kids with us and we were left looking for food for them!! The worst experience in Munich. A disgrace for the city!!

Honestly if I could give 10 stars it wouldn't be enough. Despite a full house and only 2 people out there the service was so perfect and amazing that some others should go and take notes on how things should be done. Professional, friendly and super fast. The hotel concierge listed this as one of four places he recommended, so I decided to Uber it to the restaurant. It was a Tuesday night and I was happy to see there was no line. I could also see several empty spots at the bar. The waiter who greeted me was perhaps the rudest server I've ever experienced in all my (extensive world) travels. He waived his hands NO, claiming everything was booked. He didn't even give me a chance to wait, which I would have gladly done. I'm sure something would have opened up. I definitely got an anti-foreigner vibe. I let the concierge know and he's taking them off his list. If you're a tourist don't waste a taxi/Uber ride to this place. In all my time reviewing, I've never felt compelled to leave a 1 star review, until now. Definitely disappointed.

Not for spontaneous people, better to make a reservation. But also for the staff, it's better to mention on the phone that you'll probably have to share a table with others. Not everyone likes that. And I don't know of any other restaurant that does that. Otherwise, the staff were very nice, and it was tidy.

We didn't feel well treated. 1st annoyance: we arrived at 12 o'clock, the end of the white sausage breakfast. We just missed the white sausages, but they were accepted. It then took a full 45 minutes before we could finally order our food. 2nd annoyance: we were then presented with a menu that completely omitted the inexpensive lunch dishes advertised online. Only after showing the website did it work. 3rd annoyance: instead of the lunchtime roast pork we ordered, they served a roast with crackling. Only after asking did they promise to correct this on the bill. It's a shame, because the food itself wasn't sensational, but it was good. And the service wasn't unfriendly, but it seemed more geared towards regulars.

The service was friendly and quick, but unfortunately the food wasn't good. The sprouts served in the salad were moldy, and the food arrived lukewarm.

The beer was good, but unfortunately, we had some really bad luck with the food today. The pancake soup only had hard pancakes in it. We had to send it back, and then we had a schnitzel platter with a piece of the cordon bleu still raw. We also waited over 50 minutes for our food order to be taken, and another 40 minutes to pay. Otherwise, the food was okay, but nothing that blew us away.

The variety of schnitzels impressed us. The "Drei Mühlen Schnitzel" and the "Garlic Schnitzel" were a dream. Personally, I felt the potato and cucumber salad lacked cucumber and the dressing was heavy on mustard, but that's a matter of taste. Overall, though, an excellent and absolutely affordable meal with friendly service. Easy to reach by bus (Ehrengutstraße stop) and, despite the beer garden being right on the street, it's quiet and pleasant to sit in. Excellent value for money, I'd go back!

I had an excellent dining experience at Augustiner Drei Mühlen. The schnitzel was absolutely perfect—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and full of rich, authentic flavor. It’s easily one of the best I’ve had in Germany. To top it off, the dessert was just as impressive. Beautifully presented and delicious, it was the perfect ending to the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy traditional cuisine done right. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This was the best meal we had in a week in Bavaria. The pork, spaetzle, cordon bleu, and powidltatschgerl were all flavorful and wonderful. Definitely get a reservation, because the place is small and gets busy, and the staff will be pretty busy, too. It's definitely worth the trek outside the city center!

This was our first and last time eating here. We had liver dumpling soup and a farmer's feast, among other dishes. The farmer's feast was mediocre; there was far too much broth in the cabbage, which almost drowned the rest. The liver dumpling soup had already tipped over and was therefore inedible. This kind of thing shouldn't be served. When we complained, we were told that there was currently no head chef and that this was the second time in a week that the soup had tipped over and was therefore bad. This is completely unacceptable, hence this review.

Seven of us were outside for a white sausage breakfast. It was busy (a public holiday), so we were prepared to wait, but it wasn't a problem. Everyone ordered great food. When the food arrived, we were surprised because we had ordered four pairs of white sausages plus two "Standard" sausage parades and one "Deluxe" sausage. All the other sausages were missing from the Deluxe except for the white sausages, of which there were strangely too many. So we asked the waiter, and he quickly reordered them. The nasty surprise came when we paid. We expected €11 for the "Deluxe" and the other "replaced" sausages were free. Wrong guess. I had to pay €8 more (ticket price + pretzel). It's a disgrace to pass your mistake on to the customer. Of course, we didn't get the pretzels either. I feel ripped off. A definite no-go!

A busy local restaurant specializing in schnitzels. They have a comprehensive schnitzel menu that offers schnitzel prepared in different styles. We ordered one with the pork marinated in the local sweet mustard and breaded with pretzel, another with the pork stuffed with obatzda, the local cheese spread, and both tasted wonderful. Definitely recommend for any schnitzel lover or anyone simply looking for a good Bavarian food experience!

The beer is good, of course, but the rest of the food was unfortunately nothing. The food was cold, tasted rather poorly, and some dishes were returned half-eaten. Salt/pepper and ketchup are a problem, and we have to ask the waiter several times. Even then, there's no guarantee that anything will be served. We won't be coming back.

If the place was to be judged by food, it is decent. I can't let pass how me and a friend (both of us CLEARLY not..."German") looking were politely invited to "seat inside because it might rain". It was great because they were so kind and the food was cheap. Two Weisswursts and a pretzel came as a set for 2.95 euros, and I had schnitzel and beer for 22 euros. It was enough for two people. Since it's not near a tourist attraction, the prices are cheap, and the staff is kind and the food is delicious, so I definitely recommend it.
