Unfortunately the sausages were only lukewarm and the bread and dumplings were very dry. I would have expected more for the prices. Staff very superficial. Unfortunately I can't recommend it any further

For me as a wheelchair user it is always a highlight when visiting Munich. Extremely friendly and courteous staff, very good food and a clean disabled toilet, you don't need anything more for the stop opposite the main train station, I always like coming there. Perfect!

Quite a large restaurant right next to the train station, therefore quite loud and crowded. Service is still quick and the food is good, prices are fair for Munich. 2 cards, one classic German, one with pizza. Reservations are mandatory in the evening

This is a wonderful typical Bavarian restaurant directly across from the train station. I came and had a delicious meal, beer and even better service!! Didi was a delight. She is an exemplary server. I will return myself and send many guests as a result! Vielen lieben Dank Didi! Bis hoffentlich bald 🥰.

WiFi available but difficult to connect Since it was a busy time, I waited at the entrance for about 10 minutes. The group that came after me skipped their turn and was guided first. I was shocked, but soon after that I was shown around as well. If you don't feel comfortable ordering verbally, you can order from your smartphone. Schweinhaxe (pork shank) was difficult to eat, but very satisfying. thank you

Are here once every year. Either upon arrival or before departure by train. Always worth a visit. 5 stars

We went with our kids and the menu fit our needs. Price is acceptable and kitchen open until late.

Drinks are way too expensive. €6.50 for half a beer? I'm not coming back. Roast pork was ok, but not a miracle either. Pizzas looked very good.

It's very noisy. But the school fees were delicious. If you want to pay, they come directly to your seat so you don't have to move... I paid by card.

As a Munich resident, I've been there several times, especially because of the pizzas! They taste delicious and there is a large selection. The service is top and the waiting times are always short even though the restaurant is so large. Because it is located right next to the main station and is a Bavarian restaurant, the guests are almost exclusively tourists, which can sometimes make it a bit noisy. It's definitely worth coming for the Bavarian and Italian cuisine!

Were there for the third time and the food got worse and worse. Sometimes only lukewarm or cold inside. It's high quality but only warmed up and I then pay €60 for two dishes and three shandies. Unfortunately that was the last time. I definitely expect more for my money.

Decided we should have an actual German meal while in Munich, so we went to an early dinner at Münchner Stubn. Between the two of us we polished off a pig! I had SCHNITZEL BREWMASTER STYLE pork loin filled with cheese and ham covered in onion breading, pan-fried dumplings, cabbage salad and gravy. Better Half had ROASTED PORK with potato dumplings, cabbage salad, and gravy. Or at least ½ of it, the sizes are generous! We wished our hotel room had a fridge & microwave for leftovers. When in Munich, I decided to have a beer, asked for Helles from the wooden barrel, but they only open the cask later in the evening. Nonetheless, it went very well with all the pork!

This was my first restaurant in Germany and it did not disappoint! The server was outstanding and the food and beer were delicious! I strongly recommend visiting.

Nice restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the main train station. We were there late at noon. The beer is good, but it stood at the counter for a long time (even though it wasn't full) until it was brought to us. The food (Bayernschnitzel) was cold. The bearded potatoes served with it were like rubber. We would love to come back and hope for a better food offering.

A very expensive restaurant. Nothing special about the food: traditional German dishes, but the price is 50% higher than average. Plus they charge 6.2 euro for a bottle of tap water (a regular water from the faucet)! The service was quite good until I understood that the bill could not be that much. The waiter brought only the receipt at first, but after we asked for a bill he immediately brought back extra 10 euros. We visited this place only because we were tired and had no time and will to have a longer walk in order to eat. Otherwise this restaurant wouldn’t be a choice

The beer goulash was excellent, though the Kaiserschmarrn was a bit too caramelized for my taste. It was delicious nonetheless, and beer was great too.

Gordan served us with dinner service. He was very knowledgeable, extremely polite, well-mannered and went out of his way to make our dining experience 10 out of 10. Highly recommend stopping by for dinner if you're in the area. Food is 10 out of 10

STRADA DEL GOETHE and MÜNCHNER STUBEN ARE THE SAME! Four of us were there for lunch on Monday during the week, because of the reviews and because we spent an hour at the train station: roast pork and dumplings tasteless, really a shame for the animal! Pizza ok but not a highlight, coconut soup ok, Kaiserschmarrn although tasty caramelized, but sticky, apparently not fresh but. just warmed up. Portions good. There was nothing going on, so that couldn't have been the problem. Service: bored. I assume the proximity to the train station brings in enough people (at least once) so that there is no pressure for quality and service. In summary: uninspired and loveless, I would never go there.

Booked as we were looking for good Bavarian cuisine and found this restaurant on Instagram. Did not disappoint. Service was great and atmosphere too. Would definitely go back.

We‘ve eaten here several times. The food and beer are great, but the service this most recent time was atrocious. We had the Asian guy as our waiter and he mostly ignored us the whole time. After we told him we needed the check, it took more than a half hour before he brought it. No excuse.

Service is great but you can forget the food, whether German or Italian pizza, everything is cheap and bad, a Tk pizza is much better. Service was great but sorry for the poor food.

Had dinner on New Year's Eve. Only recommended. The food was very good and served quickly even though it was fully booked. The service was also very friendly and despite the crowds, they took the time to have a quick chat. Absolute recommendation from my side.

We had 2 pizzas. The quality made me check other reviews and the conclusion is that they are either fake or they changed the cook :-) The worst is that the pizza looks good - so they know what it SHOULD be like and get to this by artificial means. The dough is mushy and not crunchy - the black what suppossed to be "burns" are moist and bend like gum when pressed. Chewy. There's also moist on the pizza - basic error. They don't know how to make pizza but know what it should look like :-)

Beautiful place to eat and drink! Polite staff and willing to serve. Delicious food! We tried the kochi with dumpling potatoes, and schnitzel with baked potatoes. It is worth trying the apple pie for the end (strudel).

Local near the Central Train Station, its Pork Knuckle is very awesome. Although it is large it is usually packed so I suggest you make reservatiins. The pizza with sour cream in the middle is also wonderfu! WOULD DEFINITE RECOMMEND!

It's a great, nice, clean, cozy and lively Bavarian restaurant, right next to Munich Central Station. Food is really tasty and portions are good and large. Good quality meat and vegetarian dishes are also offered 😋 👍. I think the price/performance is completely justified. Drinks are also a larger mixed selection. Service staff is very friendly and helpful. Greetings and we always enjoy coming here.

First of all, about the meal: I had a plate of bratwurst and my companion had the cheese spaetzle. Both dishes were OK but not exceptional. About the actual review: Shortly after our arrival at Munich Central Station, we discovered this restaurant on the way to our hotel. It looked inviting and authentic from the outside, so we decided to spend our first evening there to enjoy the Bavarian cuisine. The welcome and allocation of a table by the restaurant manager went smoothly despite no reservation. As soon as we were seated, the waiter came to take our drink order. Since we couldn't take a look at the food and drink menu at this point, we asked for some time. When we opened the menu, we noticed that you could easily place your order using the QR code on the table. Since we already knew this method from other restaurants, we decided to place the order this way. After a while the waiter came to our table again to take the order. We informed him that we had already posted them via the QR code. From that moment on, our experience deteriorated dramatically. The waiter reacted extremely unprofessionally and scolded us loudly. He complained that we didn't place the order directly with him. Every further contact with him - be it bringing drinks or food - was characterized by careless service and other inappropriate comments. I have never felt so uncomfortable going to a restaurant before. After the waiter's initial outburst, we wanted to immediately ask for our order to be canceled and leave the restaurant. Unfortunately this was not possible due to the prepayment required when ordering via the QR code. This completely ruined our first day in Munich. We returned to the hotel feeling bad and spent the evening thinking about the behavior of this incredibly unfriendly and disrespectful employee.

We ordered duck to pick up for Christmas and it was just great! Everything was ready on time and perfectly prepared. The quality of the food was excellent. The crispy duck, red cabbage and dumplings were a delight. Everything tasted incredibly delicious and the portions were more than sufficient.

Paid a visit to this as we were craving some Bavarian cuisine. The food was nice. Service however was abhorrent due to this one waitress with short blond hair (she was not wearing a name tag). She sat us down and told us to scan QR code for an English menu before she walked away. We notice this QR code on the table to place our order, which we did via the QR code and payment was made online. Following which, a few minutes later, she stormed over with our drinks and declared “we have waiters here, you do not need to order through the code!”. This surprised us quite a bit since she didnt mention anything in particular when she sat us down. The rest of the food came promptly served by other waiters, but we were still missing a bowl of soup which hadn’t arrived by the end of our meal. We checked on our order with the same short haired lady, who responded with “since you ordered via the code, I don’t know anything about your order, so don’t ask me” ???? We had to check with other waiters on the order before it would get served. This was honestly appalling because you would obviously have a centralised ordering system where you would know which orders were tagged to which table. I’m guessing her attitude was such because the QR code does not allow her to receive tips, though whoever would tip that sort of behaviour? If there’s any issue the staff should take it up with their management and not the customers. Beware when visiting this place.

Excellent place, very close to the main station. Feels very traditional; the service was top, very friendly making you feel "one more of us". All to be said. The food was also good and more acceptable for the price. A good first step in München.

The Münchener Stuben is definitely worth recommending. The service is impeccable which made the visit even better. Despite the full room, the team was always on their toes. The food was very tasty, one star deducted because the temperature for both dishes should have been warmer. The taste was still great. The Kaiserschmarn was served without raisins (as ordered). Unfortunately far too dark and therefore dry. However, this did not affect the review because the court was ultimately issued without any problems. Mistakes happen :)

When I was traveling and in Munich for two weeks, this was my favorite restaurant. I highly recommend the pork knuckle and snitzchel brew master.

Genuinely the blandest food I have ever eaten in Germany

We were looking for an authentic Bavarian venue and meal, and Munchner Stubn certainly delivered! No booking necessary (7pm on a weeknight), great beer and service and a delicious range of meats served as the "Reidl" menu option (certainly too much meat for 2). Highly recommended!

This is a lovely restaurant just off of the Hauptbahnhof station. It seems to get a mix of locals and tourists alike. I came here twice, the food and service were fantastic. Say hi to Salvatore for me, the nicest waiter, he’s lovely and will speak in German, English, or Italian. There’s also a very attractive bar keep behind the bar with a nice beard if you need some eye candy on your travels. Now for the food. The first visit we had the schnitzel with ham and cheese, with sauerkraut and potatoes, the beer goulash and an Urtyp vom Holzfass pint. It was absolutely delicious, the gravy/sauce was delicious for both dishes. We finished with an apfelstrudel with vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was a bit different in flavor, the strudel was nice. The second visit wenhad the salmon ratatouille and a 1/4 duck with German potato dumpling and red cabbage. Here again, I very much enjoyed the flavor of the gravy, the red cabbage was also delicious. I don’t usually care for it at home, but here it’s delicious. I had a Paulaner Ur-Dunkel this time. Everything was delicious, the place looks very nice inside as well and the restrooms were clean, at least the ladies, I couldn’t advise on the men’s of course.

The place is very nice, the food is delicious. It is a frequent destination for both tourists and local people. The portions are large, so it's a good idea to order to share.
