Our visit to "Le Petit Chef" on December 20, 2025 – which we were really looking forward to – was a huge disappointment, and the food and service were in no way commensurate with the high price (€150 per person plus drinks). The location felt uninviting, the storyline superficial and uninspired – the entire presentation was flat and lacked atmosphere. The food was also unconvincing in terms of both taste and quality: undercooked pasta, a dry dessert, and overall poor quality. Particularly disappointing was the staff's handling of our objective criticism – unfriendly, unprofessional, and lacking in customer service. We have received no response to our email complaint to this day. As a birthday present, it was a complete flop. We cannot recommend this restaurant. A real shame.

The food is perfect, and the concept is good too. What wasn't so good: 1. We arrived 30 minutes early and had to wait outside the entrance every 30 minutes. We weren't let in until 8:00 PM. The show started at 8:20 PM. 2. Please change the narrator! He doesn't speak German very well, is difficult to understand, and you need someone with some acting experience. He spoke unclearly and without emotion. Everything else was good, especially the food.

The show was quite cute in terms of plot, because it is a family format. We will try the Friends format next time, for a more intense plot. The restaurant team worked clearly and professionally. Out of the 4 dishes, we chose 2 as favorites, they are absolutely unbeatable, the other 2 we just liked, but not so impressed. It was a wonderful evening, thank you!

Absolutely awful. We were in Munich on December 6th, 2025, and were so disappointed with the entire organization and the food. Our reservation was at 7:30 pm, and everyone seemed overwhelmed. The food was so bad and almost inedible. The pasta dish was a complete mush and rock hard. The pumpkin puree tasted like baby food, and the brownie was incredibly dry. Value for money... only 1 out of 5 stars. We will not be recommending this place.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to Le Petit Chef, and I have to be honest: at €150 per person (drinks extra), the experience wasn't worth it. The portions were very small, the vegetables were completely missing from my steak, and there was even paper in the dessert. Although I pointed this out to the staff, nothing was done – no replacement or compensation. On top of that, the cake was rock hard. If you break it down, each dish costs about €37.50. The little show couldn't make up for the many shortcomings. At this price, I expect full plates and, above all, no foreign objects in the food. In addition, you sit at tables for four right next to strangers. We had to sit next to another couple, which made the atmosphere considerably less comfortable. There was only one menu on the table, which you had to pass around. When we asked for another menu, we were told there weren't any. If you break it down, each dish costs about €37.50. The staff's demeanor was also disappointing: they didn't seem friendly to each other, and you could hear them arguing and having disagreements, which didn't contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. All in all: a complete flop.

With two adults and two children, we had to pay over €400, even though we had already used an €80 voucher – the value for money just wasn't there. The food was a mixed bag: The pea soup was okay, the intermediate course (pasta with butter sauce) was completely bland, and the advertised medium-rare beef arrived only pink. The dessert was good. The videos are nicely done for children, however, the audio system for the story and announcements was unreliable, switching on unintentionally and having very poor sound quality. Furthermore, it felt more like a back-of-the-room hotel meeting room than a nice restaurant. In conclusion: a nice idea, but the execution and ambiance don't justify the price. For that kind of money, we'd rather eat at the Bayerischer Hof next time.

The service was exceptional: diligent, quick, and extremely polite. The ambiance, well, it's a shame the ventilation pipes are so prominent. The show is so charming and beautifully designed, simply wonderful. It's a pity the noise from the Mona restaurant is almost overwhelming. The food itself was very good. They could be a bit more generous with the spices, though. My daughter and I added extra seasoning to pretty much everything. The chocolate brownie, unfortunately, wasn't to our liking at all. Firstly, it was cold; it could and should have been a little warm, and secondly, it was quite hard. The vanilla ice cream that came with it was good. All in all, there are a few things that could be improved, but overall it was really good.

I then filed an appeal and submitted proof of my actual visit, and it was successful: Google reinstated my post after review, as it reflects a real, factually described experience. I'm writing this because I know that many guests have had similar experiences, some of whose reviews have also disappeared. 👉 Don't be discouraged: If you write an honest review, stand by your opinion and, like me, file an appeal. Genuine reviews are important so that other guests know what to expect! Conclusion: We won't let the organizer feed us any tall tales, literally, and we stand for honest feedback! --- NACHTRAG ENDE --- Le Petit Chef im Restaurant Mona, München – leider eine herbe Enttäuschung Wir waren am 18.10. als Familie zu viert bei der Dinner-Show Le Petit Chef im Restaurant Mona in München. Insgesamt haben wir mit Getränken fast 700 € bezahlt. Dementsprechend hoch waren auch unsere Erwartungen. Leider wurden diese in mehreren Punkten enttäuscht: Die Gemüsesuppe aus jungen Erbsen war geschmacklich zwar gut, sah aber so aus, als wäre sie nicht frisch zubereitet, sondern kurz vor dem Servieren aufgewärmt worden. Das Baiser dazu wirkte etwas willkürlich und passte für uns geschmacklich nicht wirklich. Der zweite Gang - Farfalle mit Parmesan, Schnittlauch, Tomaten, Pfeffer und Popcorn - war komplett fad und so stark gepfeffert, dass man nichts anderes mehr geschmeckt hat. The main course, medallions of regional roast beef with butternut squash purée, carrot and zucchini mille-feuille, and Mona's jus, was good in itself, but we weren't given proper cutlery, making it a real ordeal to slice. The mille-feuille was presented without any care and tasted bland. The Valrhona chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and "cream marshmallows" was so dry that one seriously wondered how anyone could ruin a brownie like that, and there wasn't a trace of "cream" to be seen anywhere. As for the show: The idea is cute, but the execution is disappointing. The restaurant's narrator spoke such poor and incomprehensible German that the story was almost impossible to follow. In addition, the room was extremely noisy because cutlery and glasses were constantly clattering from the open kitchen behind it, making it impossible to understand anything of the narrator's story. The show is ultimately just projected via a projector… something you could easily recreate at home these days with modern technology or AI. For what was offered, the price is simply unjustifiable. Conclusion: The value for money is disastrous. For almost €700, we could have enjoyed several excellent meals in Munich, with genuine enjoyment and atmosphere. The show might work in other cities, but it's absolutely not recommended in Munich.

We were in Cologne three years ago and found the entertainment there to be better. The food was delicious, and I'd like to particularly commend the service and the way the children were included. The price has increased, and there's one less course included, so it would have been cheaper in Ingolstadt, hence the deduction of stars. The ambiance is very nice, but the seating is too cramped.

A thoroughly successful event! The main attraction, of course, is the projected story about "Le Petit Chef," which is technically very well done and lovingly designed! The food is also truly amazing. And the food is absolutely fantastic! The quality is excellent and the quantity is well-calculated, although it was a bit of a squeeze by the dessert time. The service was unobtrusive but pleasantly attentive. If there's anything to criticize, it's the location at the back of the restaurant, and the prices are rather high. The drinks, in particular, are quite expensive!

We were there on Friday, July 25th. Unfortunately, our visit was a complete disappointment. It started with us being sent back outside at 7:30 p.m. (which was the time we were supposed to be there according to the reservation) to wait because they weren't ready yet. Then it continued with seating that resembled a fast-food restaurant. There was no privacy or cozy atmosphere. The food was abysmal. A lukewarm soup that tasted of nothing, followed by overcooked pasta that was carelessly prepared, and a main course that was at least average (but far from a taste sensation). The dessert was so inedible that all the guests left after a few bites. The service was so poor that at first, they only refilled the wine upon request (there was no room at the table for the bottle because it was too crowded), and at the end, the waitress got fed up and filled the glass with the rest of the bottle. The coffee with dessert was forgotten and served afterward, and immediately after dessert, they didn't ask if anyone wanted anything else. Instead, they took the money without asking, as long as people left. The whole thing cost €380 for two people. I expect a different quality of food and service. The table and plate "show" was boring and unspectacular and in no way justified such a price. I can therefore only advise against this concept.

I was totally disappointed – especially given the high price. The food was absolutely not high-quality, more on the level of a budget restaurant. I ended up with a completely hard brownie for dessert – inedible. Plus, you sit so close to other guests that you can hardly have a quiet conversation with your companion. The narrator was also a disappointment: lacking energy, said three words, and that was it. For what you pay, the experience is truly poor. Absolutely not recommended.

The music should have been turned down during the chef's speech between the various courses. Unfortunately, the sauce on the roast beef was far too salty. - The spring starter (cream of pea soup) was very tasty. The summer dish, farfalle cacio e pepe, was incredibly good. The salted popcorn that came with it was unusual but added a nice touch to the dish. - The autumn main course (medallions of regional roast beef) was also very good, although some of the medallions were a bit tough and others were buttery (very marbled), as well as, as mentioned, the sauce. I could have literally eaten the carrot cream as a side dish. Fantastic taste. - The meal was rounded off with the winter dessert (Valrhona chocolate brownie), which was very successful, but the consistency took some getting used to due to the highly compressed chocolate. The taste was certainly convincing. The rest of the evening was a complete success and worth a return visit. Thank you for the wonderful evening you provided for my partner and me.

The "show" was very nice to watch. The food was decent. Except for the pasta dish, which was very "plain," the other courses were quite tasty. There are only two points of criticism: The event started a bit late, and we had to wait in the actual restaurant area. Drinks could be ordered there, but they only served bottled beer—and that in Munich? Furthermore, the team's performance didn't seem particularly fluid or well-rehearsed. The short "speeches" on the individual topics were peppered with "uh, uh, uh"... Nevertheless, an overall enjoyable and successful evening!

My husband and I, full of anticipation, reserved a table with you on March 29, 2025. We received a friendly welcome and were seated. We were promptly offered and served drinks. A little later, we were escorted to the function room. Since there were two of us, another couple was sitting at the table with us. The first two courses were perfectly fine, and there was nothing to complain about. The main course was medallions of regional roast beef with a side dish. While clearing the table, the waiter asked if everything was okay. I told him that I wasn't satisfied with this course because the meat was too stringy and cold. He replied that he would be happy to pass this on to the kitchen. Considering that you're spending €149, a different response would have been welcome. The dessert was also much too sweet for my taste, but I didn't comment on it because I didn't feel I was being taken seriously. Personally, I'm disappointed and don't think the value for money is appropriate. For this reason, I will not visit this restaurant again.

My wife and I went to Le Petit Chef & Friends at Mona in Munich. The normal, non-vegetarian version costs €149 per person. I can only advise everyone, for example, go out for a pizza, it will make you happier and you will also save money. And if you do want to do this, I recommend not coming hungry, because in my opinion the portions are far too small. One more point: the main course was roast beef. Normally in a restaurant you are asked how you would like it, unfortunately not here. It was very bloody, almost cold again and very fibrous. My wife couldn't do anything with it and the other couple at our table weren't too happy with it either. We were really looking forward to it, in the end I left the restaurant very disappointed and still hungry, and my wife wasn't happy either. I have the feeling that money is simply being taken out of the customer's pocket here, because the show & experience is not worth €149, which is a shame.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The projection was flawless but the story was a bit unimaginative compared to the other versions. About the menu: The pea soup was very tasty, but a little too cold. The butterfly pasta with cheese was nothing special. They tasted like discount store pasta. The main course was suvit cooked beef with pumpkin mash. The meat was okay. For dessert there was a brownie with ice cream. Unfortunately, the brownie was far too dry and the ice cream was also from a package. I couldn't find any real vanilla in it. The cocktails and wine were very good 👍 The portions are a bit too small for a man. For 150 euros per person I would have expected a higher quality of food. Nevertheless, a meal like this is definitely an experience in the sense of animated food. However, you shouldn't expect a culinary delight.

There I ate the best steak and also the best dessert. The experience was also very nice, the story and creativity of the animation were great and the fact that it was beautifully shown in a story was the cherry on top. The service was very friendly and professional, the food was high quality and tasted great. I found some of the flavor combinations a bit strange but all in all it was delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Oh well…..! Unfortunately, the four courses were not convincing as none of the dishes were really outstanding. In addition, some of the food wasn't warm enough - and this doesn't mean the dessert. The cleanliness also left a lot to be desired: the tablecloth was stained, and despite our advice, this was not fixed. Another point that we found disturbing was the table assignment. If a table is reserved for two people, it should be noted in advance if it has to be shared with other guests. Overall, we were unfortunately disappointed as we had hoped for a much more pleasant dining experience.

The food and the show were excellent 🙂 it was really fun to accompany the petite chef through the four seasons and life. We've already taken part in a few show dinners, but the idea of Petite Chef was new to us too. We would have liked something “lighter” for the dessert, as the previous portions were all of a very reasonable size and we were already full ;) the live announcements were a bit difficult to understand acoustically, a microphone would have helped here if necessary :)

I have to say the food was very tasty and we had a good time. If you want to try something different, you should treat yourself to this special experience. We went to Seven Paintings last year, which is technically comparable in terms of price and show. Although I have to say that Seven Paintings offers more. If you want to try both like we did, I would suggest Let Petit Chef first and then Seven Paintings, as this takes it up a notch!

Great experience at the Mona with Le Petit, the show is really worth seeing. Food is very tasty, especially the brownie. The show is spiced up with wafts of fog and a popcorn machine. The service is very attentive and nice. The moderation is appropriate and sometimes funny. Overall, absolutely recommended!!

Rarely experienced such a bad price-performance ratio! Yes, the show (which lasts maybe 10 minutes in total) was nice, but not worth €150 per person! The food…phew. So even the food that you ate in the cafeteria back when you were at university was way better. I really advise ANYONE and EVERYONE who is interested to do something different with their money!!! I would like to reverse my decision and not go there at all!

The show le petit chef was very nicely done. BUT: The first course of pea soup was quite unimaginative. Secondly, Gang Farfalle was made cheaply and carelessly. Main course roast beef ok, but only traces of vegetables. The dessert chocolate cake was very sticky with lots of caramel. Overall, it's a shame that the restaurant didn't come close to cooking like it was animated in the film. Conclusion: Le petit chef is a cool event. The chef at the Mona should change his profession and for a Hilton Hotel that is beneath all dignity. Never again.

Absolutely not recommended! We were really looking forward to this evening and a new experience - unfortunately we were disappointed. We were there 30 minutes earlier, as requested by the restaurant. However, we and the other guests had to wait another 15 minutes for a late couple. Then why come extra early?! The room is carelessly and simply furnished. There are only tables for four, so we sat at the same table with strangers (larger groups were separated). A chair was wobbly, as was the table. The service forgot our table right at the beginning, so drinks were only served after the first course. The food came unevenly, half of them eat and the rest watch. The coordination of service and animations also went wrong once. The animated show was really beautifully done, a successful love story with emotions. However, the four parts are very short - only about 10 minutes in total. It was very hectic between the animations, there was no time to talk and enjoy. The food wasn't great either. At the level of a small suburban Italian restaurant, tough meat & supermarket desserts were served. The plates were carelessly arranged, at least the food was warm. Everything is edible, no trace of fine dining can be seen or tasted. For around €150 per person without drinks, it's a price-performance catastrophe. Apart from the disappointed anticipation. Maybe we'll try it again in a few years in another city, there also seem to be positive reports.

We were there on December 14, 2024 and were so disappointed. Aside from the fact that the food wasn't anything special, it wasn't really well prepared either. So a total flop from a culinary point of view. The staff was at least as disappointing. We were at the Hilton Hotel on December 6th, 2024 for dinner at le petit chef. We wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The food was a very big disappointment and definitely not worth the money. We come from Nuremberg and came specifically to Munich and not to Ingolstadt because there was fillet of beef in Munich. The beef tenderloin was the worst course of all. Half the room has returned their steak. We noticed this straight away at the table next door because the steak was terrible. The second steak was so raw that you couldn't eat it, which is why the guest left it alone and didn't want a third. My steak was so well done, I've never seen anything like that in a steak. And it was also extremely mixed and not a fillet. The cellar deliberately didn't come to our table anymore because he saw that no one had eaten the steak. That didn't work for us at all, trying to avoid the "did you like it" - "no not at all" answer. Basically, we expected that the food would correspond to what was conjured up digitally. But that wasn't the case. For the money, you can eat far better.

Now that a new location has been moved into Munich, we went to the “premiere event” on Rosenheimer Str. yesterday. Well, where do you start... as it is part of the Hilton Hotel's in-house restaurant, the signage was poor. We had to ask the hotel staff several times and some of them didn't know anything about "Le petit chef"... From a subjective point of view, one has to say that the chosen location is not a nice sight; Open ventilation pipes everywhere on the ceiling (probably a kind of, but poorly done, "industrial look" and a rather simple, even dreary/sparse-looking interior. The chairs were also very uncomfortable to sit on. The staff was friendly and tried to ensure that the process ran smoothly, which for the most part worked very well. The 4-course menu served was very good in terms of taste; you could taste the different ingredients and you had the impression that high quality ingredients/products were used. Unfortunately the main course was lukewarm to cold... The course of the event was very strong and well-timed. The start was around 5:30 p.m. and the end was around 7:15 p.m. The recorded animations of "Le petit chef" were amusing, but unfortunately there were some drawbacks because the animated people were sometimes difficult to understand and spoke a mixture of French and English. Conclusion: If you deduct the "teething problems" of a premiere event, it was a nice, entertaining evening with good food. In my opinion, however, the price is too high for what is on offer. You actually constantly felt the time pressure to get through the menu in the allotted time; Furthermore, from my point of view, it is an unfortunate choice for this event in terms of ambience. As mentioned above, the quality of the food was very good; However, even after consulting other guests, many felt the same way as me (I have to say that I don't eat huge portions, but I expect normal portions). that the main course, 1 beef medallion, without large side dishes, was too small! Therefore; It was nice to have experienced something like that once, but it definitely doesn't have to be a second time, because in my opinion it was overpriced, the main course was too small, too much time pressure and, in my opinion, an uncomfortable location.

Disappointing. We knew that you basically pay for the experience - let's call it the iPhone effect (you pay the name). But: The four of us (one child) paid around €600 and the service provided is not justified. And no complaining at a high level! We sit on rickety chairs in an adjoining room. The menu or the whole spectacle is carried out hectic and hastily, you can feel it and it is unpleasant. The main course was cold - the person sitting next to me simply had half the portion size as me - incomprehensible. The food arrangement itself - hmm, for €600 I expected more finesse, more love for the food. The plates were cleared away frantically even though the cutlery was still in hand, drinks were forgotten, no napkins at the table - a lot of things were constantly going down (the service) It's hectic, as the next round of le petit chef will take place afterwards. The service itself, hmm, there are one or two who had learned the hotel/restaurant trade - but just to point out a few technical errors here: our son's plate was taken away even though he still had the cutlery in his hand, A plate that wasn't yet eaten also disappeared, the water glasses were put away even though the half-full water bottle was still at the table, and the plate was served across the table (not from the right, like with all the other guests). Because of all the hectic pace, it was hard to reorder anything, but for some it worked. Between courses, 1-2 sentences were read and things moved on in no time. We are very disappointed because we were really looking forward to this evening, but all in all it was a rather unpleasant event. Price/performance ratio is bad. We had the feeling several times that we were being processed quickly (and hectically). Oh, we tried to make this criticism on site, but (hectic): 2 minutes aren't really in it, we have to stock up for the next ones (original sound) Nevertheless, we made the criticism and were fobbed off with a frantic apology and a quick "we've only started doing this recently". That’s not how sustainable customer orientation works. Plates away, credits, lights on, pay, byebye - the next 600/700 € per table. Thanks. 😞

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right. You are seated at the table with a strange couple. There were also tables for two people, so technically it would have been possible to seat all couples individually. I was closer to the strange man at my table and the one at the next table than to my own companion, which also made conversations awkward. The food was good, but definitely not at the level I would expect for 140 euros per person. The whole time there is an empty plate in front of you on which the videos are projected. I understand that's part of the concept, but unfortunately the plate with the food was often placed crookedly on it and it often wobbled on the "show plate" while eating because they didn't seem to fit together. My plate wasn't placed correctly for the animations. I had to move it another centimeter to get it to fit. The animation style, especially towards the end, was more of a children's humor style. More and more accidents have happened to the chefs. I found that rather strange. The design between the aisles could also be more loving. Apparently it was a guest's birthday. Therefore, an unannounced birthday video was shown immediately after the video for the dessert. We didn't know and at first thought it was the video for the last dish and were unhappy. The staff didn't even know the person's name, which made the birthday song a bit awkward. And after the “cooking video” you could still see the environment in which the chef “cooked”. But the beautiful koi pond was taken away from us and because of the birthday video that started right after the regular video, all that was left was the moved image of a table with a yellow tablecloth and confetti. Of course we saw an extra video, but I would have preferred to see the regular koi pond while eating where there would have been a little more action. The topic was a trip around the world. Three “cooks” came from Europe. The dessert came from Japan, but it was a chocolate lava cake and the only Japanese dessert was some matcha and wasabi in a very small amount of cream. Calling it Japanese was a bit arbitrary. Plus, while the first courses made a relative effort to explain the individual components and preparation steps, the side dishes were no longer encouraged for the main course and people were very lazy with the dessert and the cook simply made the individual components (e.g. the cake) out of a water lily flower taken. For example, he didn't prepare anything more than the starter. As if the idea had ended there. The event didn't start on time. Although I think the guests were all on time. Before the meal there was a greeting from the kitchen that was not explained. In addition, it was simply placed there, regardless of whether the guests were already seated or not yet in the room. They were placed somewhat carelessly, so that the food slipped around. There was no longer any animation for the official fifth course, petit fours. There wasn't even any decoration on the table, so it all looked very white and sterile. The only thing was a projection of Petit Chef and the Hilton logo. As an official walk, I had hoped for more. The projection idea is cool. But I have the feeling that overall you're just paying too much for the food and service. Unfortunately it just wasn't worth over 300 euros for two people. You can do it once, but you could also go somewhere nicer and better - even if without cool entertainment - for less money.

Without allergies or intolerances, the experience is a fun and original opportunity to enjoy a carefully curated menu. However, it was less satisfactory for us as one person in our group has celiac disease. Given the price, we would have expected more gluten-free options, such as a gluten-free lava cake or gluten-free ravioli, especially since we had indicated this early on when booking and other, cheaper restaurants often offer more flexibility and alternatives in such cases. When we asked if she could have truffles like on my ravioli with the gluten-free pasta with a little cheese, we were met with confusion. It almost seemed as if truffles and truffle oil had been classified as “not gluten-free”. This reaction made us doubt whether all the dishes were actually gluten-free and whether the kitchen was familiar with celiac disease. Our conclusion: For people without special dietary requirements it is an entertaining experience, but for guests with restrictions it remains rather unsatisfactory / you should not go there with too high expectations. We also had a bad impression at the beginning because we waited in vain for 10-15 minutes for service in the hotel bar, where guests are welcomed by le Petit Chef according to the invitation.

Le Petit Chef at the Hilton Munich - A super delicious experience. The welcome is very warm, the ambience is calm and upscale. The host accompanies you through every course. The animation of the dishes is funny and takes a pleasant time of around 5 minutes per course. The food is served quickly and is of course a 10 out of 10. Very good quality and simply perfect. The service is impeccable, refills are given without asking. For dessert there was a coffee/cappuccino on the house. Makes a great gift! Price/performance ratio is very good. 5 stars.

Le Petit Chef Munich at the Hilton Hotel The staff was incredibly friendly and always tried to make sure we had a great evening. The multimedia performance was really impressive and created a very entertaining atmosphere. It was an experience that definitely enhanced the evening. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the high expectations you would expect from a fine dining experience in this price range. Here, the elaborate multimedia presentation is in the foreground, while the culinary experience lags behind. All in all, a nice evening, but one that I personally don't have to repeat. Nevertheless, it is important to mention that everyone should form their own opinion.

A dream from the wood-fired oven! The pizza was simply perfect – a light crust and a thin, crispy base with just the right roasted flavors from the wood-fired oven. The topping of fresh mushrooms and juicy ham went perfectly together, and the tomato sauce was beautifully fruity and full of flavor. You can immediately tell that the ingredients are lovingly prepared here. Highly recommended for all pizza lovers! 🍕🔥

My colleagues and I have been coming here for lunch for years. First of all, I'd like to point out that the food here has been delicious and well-prepared ever since we started. However, the portions of the daily special have been consistently getting smaller and smaller since we started coming. Unfortunately, I have to say that one portion is no longer enough to fill you up, and in terms of value for money, Leo 170 is clearly losing out, as I can get a double portion of pasta at almost every Italian restaurant on Leopoldstraße for €1-2 more...
