Schlossberg Brasserie in Saarburg

A pleasant brasserie. The food is good, but the wait to be served is very long. The servers are friendly, but there aren't enough of them.

I didn't eat anything because the coffee and the atmosphere weren't great, so I didn't even want to try the food... especially since it wasn't cheap... the risk of being disappointed was too high, because if they're skimping on coffee and new menus... who knows where else they're cutting corners... very disappointing.

The herbal tea is very good. The strudel is a bit hard for me.

Despite having a reservation, the table wasn't ready. We had to wait an hour for the main course. The meal itself was fine.

We had the oriental lentil soup. It was served with delicious flatbread and baguette. We really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, so we sat inside, but we had a comfortable spot. What we actually found a bit outrageous was the price of a bottle of water with the wine: €8.90.

You should bring plenty of time. We waited 50 minutes for a standard breakfast, and some items were left out (on purpose). We would still have to wait for salt and pepper. The scrambled eggs and Turkish breakfast were not worth the price.

The food is a disaster, and the service is even worse. Breakfast for two, you get nothing. It's okay just for a coffee.

We had a lovely meal on the terrace by the waterfall. The dishes on the menu aren't anything special (burgers, schnitzel, pasta), but the quality was excellent. Good, fresh ingredients, and delicious fries. The dessert, apple strudel, was heavenly! Friendly, courteous service.

A spot right by the waterfall—what more could you ask for? The ambiance is naturally unique. Despite the great location, the prices are reasonable. The food (we had waterfall noodles with shrimp in lobster sauce) was truly delicious. Wonderfully seasoned (Middle Eastern style), the noodles were light and not drowned in lobster sauce. The next table also served salmon fillet fried on the skin, which looked very good. There are a few places here, but this is one of those you should visit.

Located directly by the waterfall. The restaurant should market how they treat their service staff. I've rarely experienced such friendly and dedicated staff. Warm, polite, and friendly, despite the workload. The food was delicious, and the prices were absolutely reasonable for the location. Highly recommended!

A great spot for a quick bite — the schnitzel was juicy, and they were generous with the vegetables. Of course, the Flammkuchen here is a bit different from the original Alsatian version due to the spices, but overall, everything was tasty.

Very friendly and attentive service. We each had a burger, one with sweet potato fries, and one with a standard burger. Highly recommended! We'd be back!

Had to wait over 45 minutes for the food. I asked and they said it would be there in a few minutes, but almost 15 minutes later, still nothing... that was normal, they said. The iced tea was good, but waiting that long for a burger is not okay.

The waitress was informed that the drink was not the right size for the price, after which she became unfriendly.

We were there for breakfast. The brunch was truly more than filling. The selection was delicious and varied, and even the vegetarian option was easily adaptable :)

It's difficult to rate, but I still think the prices are completely excessive, probably due to the location. We were here for breakfast, and the quality was very good, but it was far too little for me and I was far from full. I've also never experienced having to pay extra for coffee at breakfast.

The Surf & Turf Burger is highly recommended. The best I've ever eaten. The service was super friendly and attentive...not to mention world-class! I'd be happy to go back!

This morning, a Sunday, we arrived without a reservation, a group of five, and were greeted very warmly and treated to an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended, thank you very much.

We ate at the Schlossberg Brasserie in a beautiful spot by the waterfall. The setting is truly beautiful. The service is attentive, but lacks a bit of that special something you'd expect from a fine dining establishment. The food could have been better. The hamburger, for example, was quite crumbly and certainly not the best in the area. Overall, an average experience, but with a little more care and refinement, much more could have been achieved.

Nice place to eat. Modern cuisine with very friendly staff. They even warmed our baby food for us. I'd love to come back.

As part of a short detour to Saarburg to visit the waterfall in the historic old town, I stopped at the Schlossberg Brasserie in the evening to enjoy a small snack. Fortunately, I quickly found a free table despite the late hour. The ambience of the brasserie is undoubtedly its biggest advantage. The proximity to the impressive waterfall and the picturesque old town creates a unique and calming atmosphere. I found listening to the sound of the water while sitting there very pleasant. The menu surprised me positively with a greater variety than expected. I particularly noticed the presence of vegetarian and apparently also vegan options. It is pleasing to see that restaurants in traditional places like this are increasingly adapting to the needs of different diets. Unfortunately, it has to be noted that the prices are high. However, this is probably due to the special location and the associated high frequency of tourists. I ordered a vegetarian wrap. Unfortunately, the waiting time for this took a little longer. The service always responded to my questions in a friendly and courteous manner, so that I felt well treated as a guest and in the end I understood the delay, even if the number of visitors tended to decrease in the evening. The wrap tasted okay. However, I found the fried vegetables to be very bitter, which didn't suit my personal taste. Here I see potential for improvement in the seasoning of the vegetables to reduce the bitter flavors. This is to be understood as constructive criticism. Otherwise my stay was satisfactory. The coffee and cold drink ordered were solid and fine. The service was, as already mentioned, friendly. However, the food could be improved while the ambience is unbeatable.

Beautiful location right by the waterfall with a huge (sound) backdrop. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The service was also courteous and solution-oriented.

Sunday breakfast for four was very good and plentiful. Reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the wait of almost 60 minutes for breakfast (!) spoiled our impression quite a bit. The first hint after 30 minutes was the usual "Come immediately", the second hint after almost an hour was that another table with more people was there before us and would be served first. I then replied that an hour's wait was a bit much, even though the restaurant was indeed almost full. "We can't help it," was the answer I got from the young lady who served us. I found this answer to be anything but nice and appropriate. At the end when we paid, the waiter explained to us that a staff member had been unavailable at short notice due to illness. An earlier explanation in this regard might have given us a little more understanding of the situation.

Great location and very tasty food. The clear menu is also appealing and there is something for every taste. There is also the option to eat here between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., which doesn't seem to be a given for the competing restaurateurs. We felt we were in good hands.

Unfortunately, I have not received a response to my email to date. It's a shame, mistakes are human, but own up to it... Well, it's a shame

It was a quiet moment, so understandable outside the high season. Flamkuche eaten, tasty. I also drank coffee with it, which is difficult to ruin. Service was friendly.

One of our favorite summer destinations when we're out on our motorcycles. Great seating right next to the waterfall in Saarburg, always friendly service, and delicious food at reasonable prices. Burgers, fries, salads – all highly recommended. Even for the vegetarians among us.

The local rosé was great, the tarte flambée was good, but the dough was convenient. The service is super friendly and attentive, and it's just nice to sit outside by the waterfall.

3 items that were requested are no longer in stock. The latte macchiato tastes like nothing. The cappuccino only tasted like sugar. Prices are €1.50 more expensive per item than at the other waterfront cafes. but overall a good atmosphere.

We had a comfortable stay. The wine is delicious and so is the tarte flambée. The service is very friendly and “on point”. We can only recommend the Schlossberg Brasserie.

We reserved a table for breakfast. When we got there, the breakfast menu was brought to us pretty quickly. After ordering, the bread basket and coffee were brought to us pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it stayed that way. After waiting for 1 hour, we asked how long it would take, and were then told at least 1 hour. There would only be one employee in the kitchen making breakfast and they didn't expect so much rush during the week. Side note: It was summer vacation and Saarburg is more than well known as a vacation spot!!! So we drove back without breakfast. It's a real shame that you can drive again even if you reserve something that hasn't been done. We are not sensitive but waiting 2 hours for breakfast is going too far. We were here for the last time

We were the only table inside, there were five tables occupied on the terrace. After 15 minutes we were asked if we wanted something to drink, but we were never asked what we wanted to eat and had to call the waiter again. When the food came our glasses were already empty but no one asked if we could have anything else. Even when the empty plates and glasses were on the table, no one came to us. The food was super tasty, really highly recommended, but because of the poor service I wouldn't send anyone there. Which I have to say is good. My husband is very picky when it comes to salad dressing and always has to ask if he could try the dressing first. When he asked which dressing the waitress would recommend, she said whatever was welcome and offered that she could bring him the dressing to try in advance. In 35 years we have never seen it being offered and we always had to ask.

Very good for breakfast. We were there by invitation. But dogs are not allowed in the restaurant so we had to sit outside. The coffee ☕️ tastes great. You can choose between 2 types of breakfast. Both are good, but the slightly expensive one comes with a glass of sparkling wine 🥂 and the ingredients are from the region and not from the finished package. Price-performance ratio fits. The service was very friendly. Gladly again.

We had made a reservation (and been confirmed) for a lunch with a group of 38 people. Our reservation was simply canceled by the owner without informing us.

We were there as a group of 14 people with advance booking. First we ordered, then: no shrimp and no craft beer. The fries were cold and soggy and dripping with grease. During our almost 2 hour stay we asked once whether we wanted more drinks. No recommendation!

Finally found a restaurant in Saarburg with several vegetarian dishes and even a vegan option on the menu. We took the snack dish for 2. Delicious! The falafel is especially recommended. You sit next to the waterfall with a beautiful view and the restaurant has friendly staff. The dog also received a bowl of water. Prices are very reasonable.

The gentlemen working in the restaurant deserve the highest recognition!!!! Yesterday, August 8, around 19 near the restaurant, my son had an accident. I asked the gentlemen for help and they immediately provided us with ice so that we could cover the severe bruises on our heads and hands. After that, the gentlemen asked many times how they could help us. Thank you very, very much. Best regards Grzegorz with his family from Poland.

This was the second time we wanted to eat here and there was no service. We sat with the neighbors. Just like all other potential guests. It makes sense that the terrace remains empty! Super stupid!

Very nice little restaurant where we like to take a break during our visits to Saarburg. Ideally located opposite the waterfall, the welcome is friendly and the cuisine is excellent.

Most beautiful café in Saarburg. Ambiance is wonderful. Cakes are world class, coffee is excellent. We were served by a man named Ahmed (I hope the name is spelled correctly). Ahmed served us like kings. He served us so warmly, so friendly, it was really extraordinary. This cafe is definitely recommended. We will definitely go there as often as possible.

A very nice restaurant with friendly service. The toilets are clean and the food was tasty and good portions and especially nice that they take allergies into account! You can sit both inside and outside.

Outdoor area directly at the waterfall. Interior stylish and yet comfortable. Very happy to come again at any time....

Located directly on the Leukasch, with a terrace but also a beautiful interior. We were there for both breakfast and dinner. The food is great, the staff very friendly! Definitely worth a visit! I can also highly recommend the white wine on offer!

The staff is very friendly, they have high-quality beer, and the food is good. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon alongside the waterfall. This is probably one of the places where I will want to come back.

Very good food, but they did not accept credit cards. They did not warn us in advance, but just at the moment to pay, so we had to go walking the town to the closest atm. Not sure how temporary it is that, but if they had earn us in advnce, we could have decided not to eat here, or at least to go earlier to get the money.

Called spontaneously this morning and wanted to have breakfast. Very nice, short phone call and table reserved. After a nice walk from the motorhome to the brasserie, we were warmly welcomed into the busy restaurant. Amazing breakfast, great, very friendly and organized team. Everything is just right here (and that has become rare)!!! Personally, we were particularly pleased that the quality of the coffee was also good. A coffee from the “Mondo del caffe” roastery in Echternach 🥰 ...because we drink it at home too ☺️ Definitely see you soon!

Had a lovely dinner here. The schnitzel is very fresh, crispy and highly recommended. The portions are not large, but sufficient. The apple strudel was delicious. Also recommended: the fresh ice tea. Will definitely come back here again!

Wir waren in Saarburg auf der Suche nach einem Cafe. Das einzige, das wir entdeckt hatten, war leider sonntags nachmittags zur besten Kaffee-und-Kuchen-Zeit geschlossen. Am Wasserfall entdeckten wir dann die Schlossberg-Brasserie, die von außen einen sehr guten Eindruck macht. Da außen Restaurant und Cafe angeschrieben steht, hofften wir, hier ein Stück Kuchen zu bekommen. Das Ambiente innen und der Service waren wirklich sehr gut. Leider gab es keinen Kuchen und auch keine Torten mehr, so dass wir lediglich Getränke bestellten. In der Karte wird die heiße Schokolade mit Bio-Sahne angeboten für 5,50 Euro. Ein recht stolzer Preis, für den man dann auch dementsprechend etwas erwarten darf. Die heiße Schokolade war allerdings definitiv nicht mit frischer Milch sondern mit Wasser aufgegossen worden und mehr oder weniger geschmacklos und die Bio-Sahne war leider billigste Sprühsahne aus der Dose. Das ist sehr schade, wenn die Gastronomie zunehmend aufgrund gestiegener Kosten billigste Zutaten verwendet um den Gewinn dennoch entsprechend hoch zu halten. Wir sind immer und sehr gerne dazu bereit, in der Gastronomie für Speisen und Getränke entsprechende Preise zu zahlen, allerdings muss dann auch die Qualität stimmen! Hier war es wirklich schade, da Ambiente und Service sehr gut sind. Ein zweites Mal werden wir die Schlossberg Brasserie allerdings nicht besuchen, da für uns die Qualität einen sehr hohen Stellenwert hat!

We were there for breakfast yesterday, the Börek, the dips and the yoghurt-fruit muesli were missing (apparently that wasn't just the case for us, other guests were missing it too). I also didn't think the amounts of sausage and cheese were enough. We first had to ask for the spoons for the eggs, which took forever until the waitress came. I didn't think the small packaged cream cheeses and jams were that great, they could have been filled into small bowls (sustainability and easy on the eye). I ordered a hot chocolate with cream (with spray cream) for €5.50, which is really awesome. The waitress wasn't very attentive, I wanted to order another tea, unfortunately he didn't make any eye contact and ignored my calls, well I saved €6.50 for the tea. I was always happy to come, but something went wrong yesterday.

A very nice restaurant right next to the waterfall. Lunch is served from 12.30 pm, but you can order brunch until then. That turned out to be a real party with a tier full of toppings, vegetables and fruit. We also received orange juice, fresh rolls, croissants and böreks. Unfortunately I have to eat gluten-free, but that was no problem. I got two types of gluten-free rolls, hot from the oven. The coffee was also very tasty! The service was very friendly. Highly recommended!

The menu impresses with an exquisite selection of dishes prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite is a taste experience that pampers the senses. The presentation of the dishes is as appealing as the taste. Whether for a romantic evening for two or a festive celebration, the Schlossberg Brasserie offers an unforgettable gastronomic experience. An absolute must for gourmets and connoisseurs! We had the salmon with rosemary potatoes and fries. It tasted absolutely fantastic. The homemade iced teas and cocktails also tasted very good.

Prinzipiell ist es hier gemütlich. Es ist schön eingerichtet. Essen und Getränke sehen auch gut aus und sind geschmacklich okay. Leider finde ich es maßlos überteuert. Ein Steak 250g (35€)inkl. Pommes(3€) und Beilagensalat(5€) kostet also satte 43€, ein Hamburger (18€) mit doppelt Fleisch(4€) und wieder Pommes(3€) sind wir bei 25€. Leider sind die Portionen dem Preis nicht entsprechend. Der Burger war leider sehr trocken, auch wurde nicht vorher geklärt welchen Gargrad man gerne mag. Die Getränke sind preislich auch eher oben angesiedelt. Wir werden dieses Etablissement nicht mehr besuchen.

Super süsses kleines Restaurant, freundliches und sehr nettes Personal. Essen war mega lecker herzlichen Dank für die tolle Bewirtung .

Nicht schlecht drinnen aber Standarte Auswahl an Gericht so wie eigentlich bei jeden anderen.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Etagere enthielt eine Vielzahl an Leckereien. Wir waren nach dem Frühstück satt und zufrieden. Durch das Rauschen des Wasserfalles kommt außerdem richtig Urlaubsstimmung auf. 😊

Brunchen am Wochenende am Leukbach-Wasserfall. Das ist eine von den guten Ideen um sich bei der Schloßberg Brasserie einen Tisch zu reservieren. Die Etagere ist reichlich gefüllt, auch mit frischen Zutaten. Das ist ein angenehmer Start in den Sonntag.

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit einem sehr netten und aufmerksamen jungen Mann. Essen top top alles da was das Herz begehrt !! Danke für den schönen Morgen
