Very nice ambience and very good food!

We had a lovely meal here this evening. The food was superb, and service was perfect. As attentive as we needed it to be when we needed. Highly recommend. Thank you. Danke schön. We had roast pork and roast beef both of which were so tasty.

The chairs were a bit uncomfortable outside.

We haven't eaten this well in a long time. The meat, side dishes, and sauces were excellent. We had the roast beef and the pork knuckle. The service was very good, friendly, and attentive. We'd be happy to come back.

Very good food, very good service. We highly recommend everything. You can even just have a drink first, and you won't be kicked out like at another restaurant in Saarburg... But we did have an excellent Burgundy roast, homemade bread dumplings, and bacon-wrapped green beans and would gladly come back. Excellent!

Sorry, no positive review, because my girlfriend and I were practically kicked out by the unfriendly and understaffed staff before we even asked for a table for two (maybe it was her appearance 😅 I don't know if she came in like they do at Berghain). So, despite there being free seats, we went in without a reservation. Zero stars, meaning nonexistent service.

Delicious food, despite the changeable weather we were allowed to sit on the terrace, and 20 minutes later they helped us move everything inside because of the rain shower. Very friendly service, the food was delicious and generous portions, price quality so completely fine. Warm welcome, I read in a google review that you could only pay cash, but we could easily pay by card. Beautiful location next to the Saar. Dog was welcome, even when we moved inside no problem.

Spontaneous discovery with surprisingly good cuisine We spontaneously walked into restaurant Fahrhous and were immediately welcomed hospitably. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. What was particularly striking was the freshness of the products. Everything is cut and prepared on the spot, and you can really taste that in the dishes. Delicious food, prepared with care and taste. Highly recommended if you are in Saarburg and are looking for quality and hospitality!

We ate at your place last night. It was really good. Plus, the waitress spoke French, which was much more convenient for us. The waitress was very friendly, as was the owner. The plates were well-filled.

In the wonderful sunshine, the two of us enjoyed a delicious lunch on the shady terrace. You have a cozy view of the Saar from the terrace. The service was friendly and accommodating. We can only recommend this place of hospitality.

Despite the busy and fully booked restaurant, we managed to get a nice seat at the bar, which was exactly what we wanted. A very friendly employee behind the bar poured a very good beer. The currywurst was delicious. We'll gladly come back for dinner, as what we saw looked good.

The restaurant was almost completely empty but we were not allowed to take a seat, everything was reserved. That is of course possible, but we were treated very unfriendly and were sent outside again. Not professional. Of course we went to eat elsewhere. On the way back we walked by again and there was still no chicken.

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Saarburg's upper town and want to eat well exactly the right thing

Went to the Fährhaus today and I have to say it was very tasty...steak to the point and a really nice chanterelle sauce... Schnitzel with chanterelle sauce is also very tasty 😋 When we are back in Saarburg we will definitely go back to Fährhaus Essen...

The schnitzel was out of the deep fryer and so dry. Disaster. How can you serve something like that to a guest? And the fries were hard too. Still had to pay full price.

Hello chef at the Fährhaus, I was sitting at your place with a friend from Trier and wanted to eat something. In short, the beef (roast burgundy) was so bad that I felt sick from the two bites I tried. It tasted and looked like rotten meat. And I'm not a sensitive eater. It didn't work at all. My girlfriend had a very bland salad, I got one at the gas station for lunch that morning, it was fresher, more versatile, better prepared and tasted better. Nicely, I wasn't charged for the meat on the bill, the service was also very nice. The table decorations (no tablecloth, no placemats, and the menu, old, wrinkled and dirty, don't exactly invite you to come back. New cards, a nice one Tablecloths on every table and, above all, no rotten meat would not be a luxury. Now comes the highlight... I wouldn't have written anything here if we hadn't met two ladies and a couple at the event who were also very negative about her Restaurant AND ONE OF THE LADIES GOT SO BAD THAT SHE WAS BROUGHT OUT AND THEN LYED OUTSIDE FOR A WHILE WHILE A LOT OF CONCERNED PEOPLE TAKEN CARE OF HER. SHE WAS THEN BROUGHT AWAY ……Anyway, I will warn everyone not to eat at your place.

In advance of my planned dinner (with a group), I simply ordered large fries with vegetables in advance. Until this evening I have not received any message that vegetables cannot be ordered. When I arrived on site I was told by the manager of the restaurant that there were no vegetables. During this she rolled her eyes - probably because of my question about the vegetables I had ordered. She was unfriendly from the start, unprofessional and unsympathetic in my opinion. In the end I had to pay €10 more on my bill than I should have. I asked about this and the boss wanted to be right again and almost acted offended when I noticed it. There is no recommendation for me! The food was delicious, even if it was very messy on the terrace.

It was our first time eating here, we had schnitzel and burgers, the food was 👍, and so was the service.

We were there spontaneously on Friday and despite there being a large group coming, we still managed to get a place and both ate a delicious Jägerschnitzel. If we didn't live so far away we would definitely come more often.

Food was of good quality, owner was unfriendly because the smell of my nicotine-free cigarette was unbelievable. Nicotine smoking is ok, according to information I smelled damiana leaves before I lit them and was then forbidden to me. After explanations, people became more than very loud. Apparently the overpriced restaurants are still doing too well despite Covid. The owner's behavior was zero, the waitress was super nice, the food was good. No coffee, no dessert or another drink because of behavior.

Zuerst einmal muss man sagen, dass das Fährhaus wirklich sehr schön und angenehm eingerichtet ist, auch die Reservierung lief ohne Probleme. Das Essen im Fährhaus ist von mittelmäßiger Qualität für einen, in anbetracht dieser Feststellung, überzogenen Preis. Das war uns bewusst, haben diesen für das schöne Ambiente allerdings in Kauf genommen. Da im Fährhaus nur wenige vegetarische Gerichte angeboten werden, beschloss ich, zu fragen, ob es möglich wäre, eine Portion Kroketten zu bestellen. Ohne Anmerkung oder Hinweis notierte die Kellnerin meine Bestellung, und gab sie an die Küche weiter. Bekommen habe ich nach etwa 10 Minuten dann ein Beilageschälchen, das ganze sechs Kroketten enthielt. Preis: 3,50€ Als ich dies vor dem Bezahlen ansprach, sagte man mir, ich hätte eben dazusagen müssen, dass ich als einziges Hauptgericht mehr als nur die Beilagenportion haben wolle. Ich schreibe wirklich nicht oft Rezensionen, aber nach diesem ruinierten Essen musste ich das einfach Mal loswerden.

Das Wiener Schnitzel ist eine Zumutung. So eine Frechheit hab ich selten serviert bekommen. Dafür 24,50 Euro aufzurufen grenzt an Wucher. Meine Begleitung hat die Gemüse Lasagne (22,50 Euro) bestellt, welche leider auch das Thema komplett verfehlt hat. Der Service war auch unterirdisch... angelerntes Personal, kommt zu Beginn gefühlt alle 2 Minuten und dann gar nicht mehr. Keine Ahnung, wie die sich mit der Qualität halten können... wir kommen sicher nicht wieder. Schade für die Zeit und das Geld.

Die Herzlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit sind wertvolle Komponenten zu dem guten Essen, die einmalig geniale Lage bringt zusätzliche Pluspunkte

Heerlijk gegeten en ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. We hadden allemaal een voorgerecht en een hoofdgerecht. Daar hadden we ruim voldoende aan. Lekkere salade bij de schnitzels en heerlijk veel asperges bij de vis. We zaten niet aan het water, dat zal waarschijnlijk nog mooier zijn, maar in een kleine ruimte apart zaten we wel lekker privé.

Wie immer sehr lecker. Freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen war reichlich und in sehr angemessener Zeit serviert. Nettes Ambiente direkt am Fluss. Jederzeit wieder.

Ganz besonders zu empfehlen ist das Schnitzel Champignonrahmsauce mit Pommes Frites und Salat. Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so ein gutes Schnitzel gegessen!!! Aber wer gerne Roastbeef isst, macht hier auch nichts falsch!

Essen sehr lecker, wir war en tatsächlich einfach nur begeistert und haben es sehr genossen. Der Service stets aufmerksam und sehr freundlich sitzt man in einem sehr gemütlichen Ambiente, einfach zum Wohlfühlen und Genießen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und empfehlen es gerne wieder.👍

Wir haben hier nur zu einem Drink eingekehrt. Wir wurden von einer freundlichen Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend bedient. Der Aperol war sehr gut und kann gerne weiter empfohlen werden

Wir hatten eine Kulturfahrt nach Saarburg und das Fährhaus für unseren Mittagstisch ausgewählt. Da es an dem Tag sehr heiß war, haben wir uns entschieden im freien zu sitzen. Der komplette Hof direkt an der Saar war überall schattig und man konnte es dort gut aushalten. Das Ambiente im inneren sahen wir nur im vorbei gehen beim Gang zur Toilette. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar, dennoch ist für jeden etwas zu fairen Preisen dabei. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient und waren uns einig daß man das Fährhaus abseits vom Trubel im Zentrum guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen kann. Wir würden wieder dort einkehren.
