Top service, pleasant atmosphere, sensational schnitzel.

We had tapas today, and the service was simply fantastic. The owner and his wife were always friendly and welcoming. We love this place and can only recommend it.

Delicious tapas or German dishes. We chose the German ones, and they were excellent and plentiful. Comfortable seating on cozy benches. Highly recommended. Please note: card payments are not accepted.

A wonderfully rustic ambience with super attentive waiters and delicious food.

The price-performance ratio isn't right. We were looking forward to a cozy dinner at the Wirtshaus mit Herz while on vacation. We weren't aware that a concept change had taken place. We went along with the experiment, even though we wanted hearty food and not tapas. However, what we got for our money was clearly too little. For example, the shashlik with fried potatoes for €17.50 consisted of two small bowls, one containing the shashlik with four pieces of meat and some vegetables, and the other containing four forkfuls of fried potatoes. And unfortunately, this was the case with all the dishes we had. Small portion - big price. The end result was that we left with a high bill, hungry, and dissatisfied. The friendly service and the friendly atmosphere couldn't make up for this. It was also unsatisfactory that we were asked for our opinion of the new concept and were fobbed off when we expressed our opinion. Hopefully, the price-performance ratio will be reconsidered.

We were simply thrilled! Great international menu, and thanks to the kitchen for the quality! Great ambiance in the wine cellar vault! The service (Florian) was super friendly and always willing to help. We'll definitely be back.

Today we were well looked after by the Black Forest Association with 35 people and had a lot of fun.

The food is delicious, but unfortunately the portions are very small, for the full price, without side dishes, which cost extra and are minimal. The service was attentive and friendly, but the question of whether we were satisfied became annoying after the fifth visit. The small portions were justified by the higher proportion of female guests?!? We don't like the current concept.

Unplanned We popped in spontaneously at the end of a day trip. It's a basement restaurant, so there's no cell reception except for Wi-Fi. We got our food after a short wait, even though they said the kitchen was overbooked. I had a truly excellent schnitzel. The portions were quite generous for the price. The service, although always busy, was cheerful and attentive. The same goes for the couple who run the place. If it were closer to home, I would eat there more often.

The food is quite good, the setting couldn't be more overstuffed. However, the name "Inn with Heart" doesn't quite fit. In an inn, the portions are generous. I had cheese spaetzle, which weren't bad, but about three forkfuls for €10. A 0.5l Spezi for €4.80 When I eat at an inn, I assume that the spaetzle for €10 are at least a portion that would feed a child. The currywurst with fries for €17 consisted of three Nuremberg sausages and a couple of fries topped with warm curry ketchup. In the end, I paid €34 for two portions of hollow teeth. The sub-designation of tapas is emphasized here more than the inn theme. Once and never again! Not to mention the fact that we were treated like "lepers" because we had just returned from renovating our apartment. As usual, I first went to the restroom, then, of course, washed my hands, and when I got my cheese spaetzle after more than 35 minutes, my hands were black. I guess no one had ever cleaned the bottom of the tables before. I come from the restaurant industry. But I've never experienced anything like this before! It was very disappointing.

We were on vacation and stumbled upon the Wirtshaus mit Herz (Inn with Heart). A definite insider tip if you're looking for something away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The ambiance is very rustic and cozy, and the service was excellent. We were able to take our food to go. The meal itself was fantastic. Homemade fries and fried potatoes. The schnitzel is the best we've ever had. Not thinly pounded, but a real schnitzel. The breading was juicy and flavorful. The Wirtshausburger was super juicy and generously topped. A definite insider tip. We would go back anytime if we come back. Thank you for this experience.

A generous, top-quality schnitzel, delicious fried potatoes and a creamy mushroom sauce. Not cheap, but worth the price. The beer was fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. I was lucky to get a table as a single person, as everything was reserved. The terrace was packed, but the friendly service (a young man serving the entire terrace) kept everything under control and worked his heels off. Hats off! It seems to be justifiably popular with the locals, too. They're still working on the final concept, and I wish them all the best. You're certainly on the right track, especially compared to other restaurants in Saarburg, which may be closer to the hotspots but sometimes deliver questionable quality.

Burgers, schnitzel, a story of pizza and lovely desserts in a cellarish inside or Biergarten outside in the middle of Saarburg. An unexpected joy. I had the blue cheese burger and a wonderful weisburgunder wine.

We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening. A beautiful, cozy atmosphere. We were immediately warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The service was friendly, attentive but not intrusive—just right. Then came the food... the Cordon Bleu and a blue cheese burger, one with fries and the other with fried potatoes. Both dishes were freshly prepared, tasted delicious, and were more than enough portions for each of us (and we both love to eat). The value for money is also so good. We'll be back! More than a restaurant – a place with soul. Last Saturday, our journey took us to Saarburg, to the Restaurant mit Herz (Restaurant with Heart). The name alone promises a lot – and it delivers. The service was also exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming – just what you could wish for. But what makes this place truly special isn't just evident on the plate. On the wall of the building, a mysterious black head with glowing eyes watches over the proceedings – silent, but unmistakable. Below it is the number 23. For many, a simple house number. For some, however, a symbol. This building seems to be more than an ordinary place. It contains something – a depth, a silent knowledge perhaps, that cannot be put into words. The hostess radiates a special calm and openness. You can sense that this isn't just about the food, but also about arriving. About a good feeling. A silent absorption of something that cannot be immediately named. Those who know or sense the meaning of the number 23 will feel particularly at home here. And those who are simply curious and enjoy exploring special places should not miss this experience. Because sometimes a good meal is more than just a meal – it is a moment full of energy, full of connection. And perhaps a step closer to a small, well-kept secret.

The food was very good to great. I had the Schnitzel with both the Knödel and the Spätzle. The Knödel were hand made. It appears to be a small family run place. The food is ala cart, meaning you order a main dish, then you add your sides and gravey/sauce, and everything has its own price. Yes, even the gravey was a priced add on. This is a CASH ONLY place. An ATM is about a 2 min walk away

Cozy restaurant with vaulted ceiling, ideal for cooling off on hot days and eating well, beer garden right outside and friendly staff.

On June 15, 2025, we stopped by for lunch. We ordered schnitzel with various side dishes. We haven't had such a delicious schnitzel in a long time. The side dishes were also excellent. If you enjoy schnitzel, this is the place for you. Thank you, the Schulz family.

A cozy restaurant in downtown Saarburg (a 5-minute walk from the waterfall). We received friendly service in the cozy outdoor area, and we were able to chat with the friendly staff. Delicious dishes and generous portions are served. Local wine and Büble beer are available.

We had a very good meal here. This hearty inn serves authentic German dishes of high quality. The Cordon Bleu was particularly outstanding. The beer menu is also unique, offering delicious beers that aren't so easy to find in other restaurants. We received a warm welcome and friendly service. The only drawback was the heavy smoking on the terrace, which was occasionally disturbing. Nevertheless, this restaurant is highly recommended if you're in Saarburg.

Very nice, rustic, eclectic restaurant. Here, for example, there is some typical Frankfurt cuisine, but also very tasty schnitzels that can be combined with a large, interesting selection of side dishes. Recommended: fried eggs on top, with tarte flambée chips and cheese and wine sauce! The Büble is available on tap. Small drawback: only cash payment.

The Wirtshausburger was so delicious 😋. There was more on the menu: full is full Friendly service and I was seated very nicely. The store alone is worth coming to this beautiful city.

Wir waren sehr hungrig und bekamen schnell etwas zu essen. Ich habe eine Allergie. Darauf wurde Rücksicht genommen. Unsere Hunde und wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Das Essen war hervorragend (Käsespätzle und Schnitzel, Bratkartoffeln und Salat). Alles frisch und mit Liebe vorbereitet. Wir konnten nur bar bezahlen. Die Preise waren moderat.

We were in the city for the first time today and spontaneously stopped at the Wirtshaus mit Herz for lunch because, according to Google, it is an insider tip. The service here was super friendly. All four of us enjoyed the food, the portions were just right and the price was absolutely reasonable. However, it was cold in this former basement room and unfortunately, unfortunately not a trace of comfort. Christmas decorations and carnival “decorations” and a lot of other things just create chaos here.

Small restaurant very nicely decorated!!!! Very generous plates for a small budget!!!! The chef is a very good cook and the staff are pleasant!!! I recommend it!!!!

Yesterday after hiking we went there for dinner with 13 people. We had pre-ordered pork knuckles and a colleague had ordered a cordon blue. The food and the festival beer were great, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was very nice. We were completely satisfied and would love to come back!!

Stopped in for lunch today with 2 adults and 2 children. We felt warmly welcome from the start. There is currently a monthly ticket available - due to Oktoberfest. The dishes from the “normal” menu and the monthly menu were great and authentic. Everything from nuggets and schnitzel for the kids to dumplings and cheese spaetzle was made here - thank you for that. :-)

The food was very good, especially the schnitzel and the mushroom cream sauce was delicious. The junior manager was super nice and friendly and even had fun with the kids. We can only recommend it, the price is a bit higher but it's okay for the delicious food.

Went here for dinner yesterday. Very friendly staff/boss. Everything is clean, I like it when the salt/pepper cruet is clean and not stuffed with cardboard, that's the case here. Requests for changes (we prefer a slice more liver sausage instead of black pudding) are happy to be fulfilled. Super crunchy bread, tasty shrimp with homemade aioli. Pleasantly priced. If we lived here (we are on vacation) we would like to stop here regularly. Atmosphere quaintly cozy.

The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is also very friendly. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the food at all, even though I've heard a lot of good things. Schnitzel was neither pounded nor seasoned. But the worst part was the breading. We really enjoy eating schnitzel, especially my partner isn't really picky about schnitzel, but we agreed that we would never eat one again. Absolutely not tasty. The side dishes were very good. The fried potato chips are super crispy and well seasoned.

We ate here as a family before our planned boat tour. The food was ordered quickly and was on the table quickly. The blue cheese burger was delicious. Portions and taste were good and there was a bit of wind outside despite the strong sunlight. I enjoyed the stop there. I would happily recommend the restaurant.

The waiter is very accommodating and we felt very comfortable. The food was excellent. Highly recommended. If we are in Saarburg again, we will definitely come back. We liked it better than sitting squashed by the waterfall, if you can say so ;-) As they always say, the secret tips are never at the hotspot, but just down the street.

We've been here a few times and would love to go again. The service is always very friendly and accommodating. The food is high quality and tastes great. Everyone will find a treat here, even the kids. Even in rainy weather you can sit outside. The map is “small” but nice. Each season has a special card or motto.

The stuff is nice but basically this is all what you can say about the place. The service is slow. Bringing a salad and a schnitzel took over 1 hour. The price didn't correspond to the quality and the taste of the meal. We decided that we will not be back and will not recommend the place to anyone. There are definitely better places to have a meal.

Stopped there spontaneously yesterday on a bike tour. The Spanish atmosphere at the moment (due to the European Championship), mixed with a rustic German tavern flair, was very cheerful. The staff was also outstanding. The Brizza there cheered me up the first time I saw it and is definitely a taste experience.

We were there on Sunday. The restaurant does everything the previous reviews promise. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and there is a very family atmosphere. A really well-rounded thing that I can only recommend to every visitor to Saarburg. You have to look for a parking space in the area, but this is only natural in such a central location and is not a problem. I'm happy to walk a few meters for such a good restaurant 😎

We went there for the first time on Wednesday and can only recommend the place. The service is very friendly and familiar, so we felt right at home. The food was also very good: children's burgers with crispy ones! Fried potatoes, cheese spaetzle, asparagus - Brizza! Everything was perfect, you can sit outside and inside. Everything is nice and rustic. We will be back definitely.

We were here on Friday evening. We were able to get a spot for two without a reservation. The restaurant was fully booked. Nevertheless, we received excellent service and ate fantastically. The Frankfurter Schlachtplatte left nothing to be desired and even a real man was satisfied with the delicious schnitzel with green sauce. We would be happy to come back at any time.
