I discovered by chance the perfect duck – first leg, then breast, so everything stays warm. Highly recommended. Friendly service, thank you.

We had reserved a table for six for 5:30 pm and arrived to find the doors locked. Inside, everything was lit up and the staff was visible. Through the closed door, someone shouted to us that they were closed that day. When we called, we were told that our reservation had supposedly been canceled the day before. This is 100% untrue. Since today was the first day of the Christmas market, there were no free tables in any other restaurants either. If there were negative stars, this would be a perfect score. Sorry, but there are better ways to do things. We won't be back.

The worst place I've ever seen in my life. I strongly advise against staying there. Do yourself a favor and give your money to the homeless instead of this unfriendly guy. They cancelled a day in advance (which isn't true) and left us standing in front of locked doors. I have to give it one star, otherwise I can't post this review. So, -20,000 stars.

I reserved a table for six people for November 22nd, 2025, at the beginning of November, as we were going to the Christmas market for my birthday. When we arrived at 5:20 pm, everything was lit up and there were people inside, but the door was locked. We were told through the locked door that it was closed. When we knocked, the door was locked again. Upon calling, we were informed that the reservation had been canceled the previous day (they didn't even know who they had spoken to, as no name had been asked), and I was absolutely certain I hadn't been informed of any cancellation. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially when you're relying on customers. They could have opened the door and spoken to us, but this is no way to treat anyone. Very unfriendly, hence the negative stars. This will be our first and last time there...

Highly recommended. We spontaneously went there after the thermal baths and had a very, very delicious meal. My boyfriend and I each had the rump steak with porcini mushrooms and pommes dauphine. The steaks were cooked to perfection in medium and rare and were buttery soft. The sauce with the porcini mushrooms, the pommes dauphine like clouds, and the accompanying wine rounded it all off so perfectly. If you're in BKS and don't eat there, it's your own fault.

You're in very good hands here. The waiter is attentive and a bit of a factotum, the manager is a unique, personable experience with life experience and wisdom, and the most important thing about the restaurant: the steaks are tender and grilled medium rare as requested, excellent!

A very small restaurant, but with excellent cuisine! Without a reservation, we had to wait a short while. The service was very attentive and courteous. The trout was excellent, as was the roast beef, which was seasoned with a generous amount of garlic and very juicy. The Dauphin potatoes were also a delight.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. My boyfriend and I traveled from Hamburg and had a wonderful dinner here. The steak and fish are locally sourced, and you can taste how fresh it is. The servers are incredibly attentive, and we had a really nice conversation with the owner. We both highly recommend this restaurant; it's definitely worth a visit.

The food was truly delicious. I had chanterelle mushrooms in sauce with pork medallions and dauphinoise (similar to croquettes, only much better and highly recommended). My friend had a Wiener Schnitzel, which was also delicious. The service was friendly. You can sit outside in the summer, where you're close to the street. You can pay by card.

The website says it's open...it takes 45 minutes to get to the restaurant...and you get there...it's closed for the winter!!! Is it so difficult to advertise this online and improve it???? Annoying🥴

Four of us went there for dinner yesterday. The service was simply excellent, very attentive and friendly. The owner is very personable. The food was delicious and plentiful. We also liked the presentation of the food. We highly recommend the Schlossbergdtübchen.

We had reserved a table for four a few days earlier. At 5 p.m., we found the door locked. The lights were off and there was no staff inside, and no one responded to our knocking or phone calls. Very annoying, especially since the town is busy with the Christmas Wine Market. Several other people were waiting in vain...

A cozy restaurant and we were lucky to get a table on Sunday evening without a reservation. The staff is very friendly and we followed their recommendation: fresh porcini mushrooms with pork medallions. It was one of the best meals on our entire Moselsteig hike.

Last week I was in town with my mother (both from Dortmund) and in the evening in the Schlossbergstübchen. It is clear that it is not Berlin, where almost 50% of people no longer eat meat, but at the age of 55 I have never experienced such a one-sided menu. First the good: The food came piping hot straight from the kitchen to the table and we always got our wine glasses quite quickly, but the menu... my dear man! With the exception of a soup and a porcini mushroom dish (daily menu), the normal menu included ONLY meat dishes with French fries or croquettes. Specifically: schnitzel with fries or croquettes, rump steak with fries or croquettes or neck steak with fries or croquettes! Craziness! Where were the vegetarian dishes and generally the components of fish, rice and vegetables?! Is that enough for guests in Rhineland-Palatinate to only offer meat in 2024? Haven't people become more open-minded and modern? Take Norway, for example: Cash has almost been abolished there! There was a spirit of 1880 in this restaurant. As described: The food and wine were top, but everything else was of the standard of the century before last. Maybe we'll come back, there will always be a neck steak with French fries there...

Welcoming reception and good wines. The food was mediocre. With a few simple adjustments, the quality could improve significantly. The meat was good, but instead of tasteless fries, well-fried potatoes would complement the dishes much better. The salad was fresh, but had way too much dressing. The interior could also use an update, it is a bit stuck in the 1970s and not in an attractive way.

We had a delicious meal with our dog in this restaurant this evening. The food was excellent. Nice that everything came in separate bowls. The schnitzel was perfect and the mushroom sauce was excellently seasoned. The Thai curry with chicken was delicious. Attention that our dog still got a bite.

We were in the Schloßbergstübchen for the first time today. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with the food. The service was very nice and very service-oriented, but unfortunately couldn't compensate for the arrogance of the chef. We ordered trout twice that were to be filleted. After a good side salad the dilemma began. One trout came fillitated, the other unfiltered. The head of the unfilitated trout was still bloody, so the blood drained from the trout's head. My complaint was dismissed by saying that the trout was fried pink. The cook then simply cut off the head of the trout and sent the decapitated trout back to the table. How stupid does the chef think his guests are to serve a trout like that and claim that it is fried pink. No thanks - never again!!

After we had a disappointing experience with a restaurant 50 meters away, dinner was saved in the Schlossbergstübchen. A very nice waiter named Maik took great care of us. A fine guy, really! Our food was great and a visit here is highly recommended. Many thanks to the team!

We were there several times during our vacation in Traben-Trarbach. Initially we were a bit hesitant about the restaurant. But now we can say, really recommended! The food was great and Maik, the waiter, is an absolutely fine guy! Courteous, extremely sweet and he immediately remembered what we were drinking. He really did a great job. Two of us went to dinner! The atmosphere is very very nice and the treatment of the lady who served us is excellent!! The schnitzel was super delicious and the sauce excellent! The other dish could have been a little more delicious! The potatoes were the best potatoes I've ever had! The price is appropriate and it is worth going if you are in need!

The food was ok, not delicious but also not bad, I had the schnitzel with salad and it was prepared how you can expect it to be. The service was fast, didn't have to wait long for the drinks and food. The atmosphere was also pretty decent, we chose to sit outside, next to the road but there weren't many cars that drove by so I didn't have any problems with that.

We ended up here by chance because we were treated like air in the neighboring restaurant, despite having a reservation. And what should I say. I ate the best rump steak in a long time. Fried and seasoned to perfection. My wife had great cream schnitzel, the fries were unique and even the starter salad was unusually good. And the waiter was awesome. What a service. Always present and polite. My top recommendation in Traben-Trarbach,

They welcomed us in with open arms and even though the menus were only in German, we got help to interpret them. Great food, fresh and tasty and special requests are catered for. The drinks are cool and fresh. The service is very friendly and very attentive. The ambience is a bit old-fashioned, but it's quiet and cozy.

There were two of us and we found a relatively busy restaurant with apparently a lot of regular guests and we asked ourselves why regular guests, because the restaurant couldn't really score points in any category: the service gets its point for friendliness, but then only brought water and I forgot the wine, there were no ice cubes, the cutlery with a thin paper napkin was left to my left. Okay, small details that can be dispensed with, but an indication that there was no trained restaurateur at work, neither in the service nor in the kitchen. On top of that, there is a backlog of investment: The ambience is a pleasant, new light blue paint plus miscellaneous furniture, hardware store knick-knacks, old flea market stand-up gravel. It wasn't vintage, it was confused and didn't follow any concept. Or maybe after the master painter there was no money left for a proper renovation? The food could have saved it all, but unfortunately it didn't. I ordered knuckle with potato salad. The potato salad was lukewarm, tasty and good, but the crust of the knuckle was burnt and very dry on the inside, so the spoonful of mustard that was served with it didn't really help. Further side dishes, decoration/arrangement of the chipped white plate were missing, a long-distance truck snack bar couldn't have been more straightforward. My wife had asparagus from the daily menu. Praise for the fact that she was able to omit the meat mentioned on the menu without any hassle and instead got a little more asparagus. A garnish was tried here with a little tomato and dry parsley, but the boiled potatoes were overcooked and the sauce was an indefinable mush in terms of appearance and taste. Plate also chipped here. We preferred to skip dessert...

You can expect more from the price and the description of the dishes. Here we are used to something different from Koblenz. You can really work on the ambience. The service was friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately we couldn't chew rump steak properly and took whole meat for dogs. The fries were not seasoned and served in a bowl for 2 people, which we didn't like. Conclusion: not better than a quick snack.

The first impression of the somewhat outdated atmosphere is completely misleading. The food was extremely tasty, everything was freshly prepared and of good quality, the meat was tender and to the point, very tasty sauce. Nice service, absolutely recommended!

Gute Auswahl an Speisen und Weinen.

Wir verstehen die guten Bewertungen nicht. Ja man kann es essen, aber das war weder ein korrektes Schnitzel noch passte hier Preis/Leistung, da sind wir aus dem Saarland was ganz anderes gewohnt. Man sitzt auch überhaupt nicht schön und die Deko hatte ein Flair, unmöglich. Wir würden es nicht empfehlen und nicht nochmals kommen.

Wir hatten das Restaurant auf Grund der guten Bewertungen aufgesucht. Leider können wir das nicht nachvollziehen oder hatten halt einfach Pech. Das Schnitzeflleisch war staubtrocken, die vermeintliche Sauce mit Rotwein hatte einen starken Soija Saucen Geschmack. Die Bedienung war bemüht.

Super nettes Lokal, freundliche Bedienung und auch unsere kleinen 🐕 waren kein Problem. Die Wirtin und das Personal sind spitze.

Vor 8 Jahren war slles viel besser. Wir kommen nicht wieder. Man hat verspätet aufgemacht, keine Bedienung vorhanden. Der junge Mann der alles machen musste war ungepflegt und hatte einen offenen Hosenstall. Geht so garnicht. Das Essen war auch schon besser.

Eigentlich nicht das, wonach es von außen aussieht. Aber das ist nicht so wild. Zu modern, (hell, freundlich und schöne Deko) wenn man Weinbergromantik wünscht. Die Bedienung super nett und freundlich, aber die Portionen (wir hatten Schnitzel), sehr schmackhaft, könnten eine Idee größer sein. Wir sind aber trotzdem zufrieden. Preis Leistung aber ok und Empfehlenswert. Sehr wichtig: Nach Wild/Geflügel nachfragen ....

Ein toller Abend mit 6 Personen bei guten Weinen und großartiger Bauernente. Vielen Dank und viele Grüße noch einmal in die Küche und an das Serviceteam. Wir hoffen einen solchen Abend bald wiederholen zu können.

Ente mit Knödeln, Rotkraut und einer leckeren Soße - Die Ente war knusprig und zart und es war insgesamt eine großzügige und leckere Portion. Preise sind völlig gerechtfertigt.

Sind auch ohne Reservierung mit reingeschoben wurden. Ambiente ist familiär. Chefin versucht alles mögliche zu tun um die Gastinteressen positiv bedienen zu können.

Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Gevraagd of het gerecht glutenvrij was. Dat was zo, maar op verzoek kon ieder ander gerecht ook glutenvrij gemaakt worden. (Altijd de opmerking dat er sporen van gluten kunnen zijn, maar dat zijn we gewend). Uiteindelijk gekozen voor wienerschnitzel, deze zonder paneermeel gekregen, smaakte uitstekend en zeker niet droog. Uit voorzorg werd de bijbehorende salade zonder dressing geserveerd, zonder dat we daar naar hoefde te vragen. Erg fijn en een geruststellend gevoel. Eerste keer dat we dit in Duitsland meemaken. TOP !

Alles in allem empfehlenswert; die junge Bedienung aber wurde ganz schön alleingelassen und konnte die Außenbewirtung mit drei Tischen über die Straße nicht alleine schaffen. Wir waren mit zwölf Personen der grösste Tisch und warteten noch auf Gläser, als die mit uns gekommenen Nachbarn bereits aßen und tranken. Nichts gegen Wartezeit- aber bitte mit flüssigem Zeitvertreib! ;) Einmal angekommen, schmeckte das Essen vorzüglich.
