I can't possibly give as many stars as I'd like to. The food is fantastic and the team at Samoa is incredibly friendly and very fond of children.

The team is attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. You feel completely pampered and truly valued as a guest. The Samoa Restaurant is located in the center of Timmendorf and has a very pleasant ambiance, offering a view into the kitchen. In addition to the indoor seating, it also has a lovely terrace directly overlooking the pedestrian zone. The service was good; we had a very attentive waiter, and the food was served quickly and piping hot. However, this is where my criticism begins. My dish (potatoes, asparagus, hollandaise sauce, and a veal schnitzel for just under €40) was a daily special and did not meet my expectations (price/performance ratio). The potatoes were tasteless and rubbery. This was also a topic of conversation at the next table, so it wasn't an isolated incident. The asparagus, which the menu stated was fresh German, was sautéed, and there were only six thin spears. The schnitzel was relatively large, but the meat was tough, and unfortunately, it didn't impress me either. Overall, I was not satisfied. The dishes served to my group were much better. However, since I can only speak for myself, I won't comment on them. The dishes served to my group were much better. This is my personal impression and experience on the day of the visit and is not intended to discredit or offend anyone. It simply represents my personal opinion.

Fantastic restaurant! We ate there spontaneously yesterday, but it's better to make a reservation. Excellent cuisine, friendly and attentive service. If you like, you can also reserve a table with a view into the kitchen (through glass partitions), which was quite fascinating to watch. The restaurant has a tasteful ambiance and clean restrooms (almost a rarity these days). We'll definitely be back!

We had lunch there with the children today, and everyone, including the children (which isn't often the case), really enjoyed the food. It was very good and freshly prepared. Some of the dishes were quite unusual, but absolutely delicious. The fish curry was outstanding; I've never had anything like it before.

Fantastic! We were a group of four with two children and just had dinner. The menu was very promising, and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. Our waiter, Ardian, served us quickly and attentively with wit and charm; it was very inviting. Everything was delicious, from the truffle fries to the sesame-crusted tuna steak and the tagliatelle in garlic oil. My absolute highlight, with my sincere thanks to the chef, Maschid, was the gratinated goat cheese with walnut and fig chutney on whole-wheat bread and a bed of salad. It was a feast! By far the best goat cheese dish I've had in a long time, both in terms of composition and taste. Highly recommended!

The food and service were excellent. In my opinion, the sauces for the sushi should be used or prepared more subtly, as they tend to overpower the delicate flavors of the fish (this doesn't apply to the mango sauce, which I found absolutely delicious). Nevertheless, I didn't deduct any points; the overall experience was still worth five stars. The ambiance was also appealing, although we were seated at a high table opposite the kitchen, which was occasionally a bit too noisy and smelly.

I was thrilled with the team. From the moment I walked in, they were friendly, funny, and very accommodating. They offered recommendations and advice, explaining everything down to the smallest detail. We opted for a Marilyn Monroe cocktail and a Crémant. The team knows their menu inside and out, and the bartender is excellent. I had sensational braised ox cheeks with port wine sauce. The second dish was octopus and a fantastic pomegranate mozzarella—grilled so well in Riesling sauce. To finish, we had an Espresso Affado. The server knew exactly what we wanted, even though it wasn't on the menu. In short, I'd gladly come back again.

We were curious. And then delighted. Tasteful decor, friendly and down-to-earth service, an interesting menu with unusual creations – everything was top-notch. The variety takes some getting used to at first, ranging from fish dishes to seasonal specialties like kale to sushi. The Asian influence is particularly fitting. My cod fillet with passion fruit and saffron sauce and wakame salad was delicious. Subtle music, good lighting design, a glass-enclosed kitchen where guests can watch the food being prepared – someone clearly put a lot of thought into the concept.

Wonderful restaurant, great staff, and very good food. Nevertheless, our evening there was unfortunately not pleasant. The fact that we had a small child with us to celebrate my wife's birthday with a nice meal seemed to be a huge problem for some guests. Before some guests were even shown to their tables, they were already saying, loud enough for everyone to hear, that they didn't want to sit next to the child. From then on, we were given looks every minute, at the slightest sound from the child, conveying the message that they, and especially your child, were not welcome. For these reasons, we kept our stay as short as possible. As if that weren't enough, the same guests made rude and offensive remarks to us as we were leaving. It's striking how often it's the same type of person who makes you feel like children aren't welcome. Unfortunately, we noticed this repeatedly over the past few days in Timmendorf. It's a shame for such a great place and such a wonderful restaurant. We'll still gladly come back so we don't have such a bad memory of the restaurant because of some of the other guests. Both the sushi and the beef fillet were excellent!

We spontaneously decided to come here in the afternoon and opted for the lunch special. They were probably the best spare ribs we've had in ages! And they're not even on the regular menu. The service and the kitchen staff were all incredibly friendly. The chef put on such a sweet show for my son. As a mother with a toddler, I've never felt so comfortable and welcome. Absolutely wonderful!

The small but exquisite sushi selection at "Samoa" is a hidden gem, if not the best-kept secret, for lovers of this Japanese delicacy in northern Germany. We ordered fish and veal schnitzel. I would definitely recommend sticking to the fish dishes and sushi. Unfortunately, the schnitzel didn't live up to my expectations. I would advise against ordering it. Otherwise, Samoa is definitely worth a visit.

Since it opened just over two years ago, we've eaten there four times whenever we're in Timmendorfer Strand. There was a bit of a settling-in period at the beginning, but the food was already quite good. The last three visits have been excellent. The food, drinks, and service are perfectly coordinated. We're sushi fans and are thrilled with both the quality and quantity – although the latter isn't our main focus. The tempura shrimp are very good, and the sushi is perfect in terms of freshness, flavor, and presentation. It's great that if you order "without avocado," the sushi is served accordingly – that often doesn't happen in other restaurants. The drinks are fairly priced. The service is very customer-oriented and friendly. Thanks again for the lovely evenings. The two of us from table 8 – we'll be back next year!

A serendipitous discovery for us, SAMOA turned out to be an absolute stroke of luck. A chic yet cozy atmosphere inside, and a modern, nautical theme on the terrace. The staff is incredibly professional, friendly, and absolutely knowledgeable when it comes to food and drink recommendations. A small but excellent wine list and a fantastic menu offering a diverse range of fusion cuisine. From soups to fish and meat dishes, all the way to authentic, high-quality sushi. The bartender is equally impressive, pulling out all the stops. We'll definitely be back!

On our first day of vacation, we ate at the Samoa restaurant and were delighted with the food and the excellent service. To be sure, we ate there every evening of the week, and it was very good. The food was of very good quality, but the taste didn't quite live up to our expectations. There was no sharp knife for the steak, and our server was friendly but very introverted and spoke very quietly, even though the restaurant was quite loud and chaotic. The air was also really stale and stuffy, with hardly any ventilation, and our clothes smelled. The location itself is very appealing. However, we weren't convinced by the value for money.

We visited Restaurant Samoa expecting high-quality, delicious food – unfortunately, we were disappointed. The ahi tuna was presented without care, practically tasteless, and at €19, significantly overpriced. My wife's sushi was good, but nothing special considering the price. Our pasta dishes were decent, but not exceptional – and at €28 per portion, also too expensive. The food arrived very quickly, which is usually not a good sign of fresh preparation. The dessert (chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream) was the low point: obviously a pre-made product, just reheated – and all for a hefty €14.90. Overall, the price-performance ratio is simply not right. It wasn't bad, but for these prices, I expect significantly more quality and refinement. Anyone who truly values ​​good food will certainly find better alternatives in the area.

For dinner, we ordered beef fillet and truffle pasta, but received the pasta with Gorgonzola. The waiter was very friendly, and since we kept the food, they gave us a discount on the drinks. The food not only looked fantastic, but it tasted amazing too, which is to be expected for the price. All in all, highly recommended.

Very tasty and fair prices. We were there with two adults, two teenagers, and two children/a baby. The service was quick and very friendly. The children were given the children's menu to color in with crayons. We ordered fish and burgers from the lunch menu. The fish dishes were small, but very tasty and perfectly cooked. The prices (contribution card) are really reasonable by today's standards. The portion of the burger dish was good. The children's dish (also a burger) was too large. So, everyone was full in the end. The baby was easily and quickly given a high chair and unseasoned fries, and I was able to breastfeed in the restaurant. The location is also good. Centrally located, close to the Promeda and Sealife. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the main menu or sushi.

The server was quite professional and was able to recommend two lovely wines. The restaurant was fully booked, but the atmosphere was still peaceful, and we didn't have to wait long for the food. We had the ox cheeks and pasta with Gorgonzola sauce and strips of beef. At 5:00 PM on a Friday, you had to be lucky to snag a table. The food tasted perfect: the meat was tender, the pasta and carrots were firm to the bite—just as it should be. The quantity, price, and quality were just right; we'd be happy to go back anytime.
