Our new absolute favorite restaurant in Timmendorfer Strand. The atmosphere inside and now also on the outside terrace is extremely stylish, the staff is warm - you always feel welcome - and very professional. The food, whether sushi, pasta, fish or steak, is super delicious. See you soon again!

Great restaurant with a difference. Food was delicious and plentiful. The service was very attentive and super nice. We felt very well looked after with her! The tuna fillet was cooked perfectly as requested and the surf and turf roll was delicious. The chocolate cake was nice and runny and one of the best I've ever tasted. We are happy to recommend Samoa.

Yesterday we were in this excellent restaurant for the second time. Be it starters, main courses and desserts… everything was grade 1. We would particularly like to highlight the service *Grille*, who takes perfect care of the guests.

We ate there twice. Very good food. Incredibly friendly service. Ms. Grille and colleagues made the evening a wonderful experience. We would like to come back next year.

We started our time there with Samoa and ended it at the end - the shop is an eye-catcher, the fires are real and warming, the service is super friendly, quick and attentive. And Grille and her colleagues are simply warm and authentic. You can feel that there is joy there! Not to mention the very, very tasty food and the feel-good atmosphere. THANK YOU on all levels!! We were in Samoa for the first time today. I definitely had one of the best fried plaice in the Finkenwerder style. Really great, not dry and great in taste. My wife's salmon was also very good, but could use a little more seasoning. The Prosecco was delicious, but could have been a little colder. A little bread and butter beforehand wouldn't hurt. Otherwise everything and great food in a very pleasant atmosphere. We'll be back. Achim

I would like to say: we've been in Timmendorf for a week and haven't found anywhere near as good a restaurant. Everything was great here. We're just going here now. The so-called “sitting bars” can’t keep up. Keep it up!!!!😍😍😍

The worst Bouillabaisse Marseille I have ever tasted. For over 30 EUR a shrimp, three mussels and a few scraps of fish. I've gotten better than that. Not recommended

Great service, great location! The menu offers a wide variety, making it difficult to decide. The bouillabaisse was a dream, the beef fillet was also very good. We will be back definitely.

Good food in a beautiful location.

We ate in Samoa twice during our 5-day vacation. Whether sushi, tuna steak or beef fillet - everything tasted delicious. Very fresh, great quality and beautiful compositions. One can only recommend Mousse au Chocolate as dessert and the top service rounds off the visit with North German tongue and charm. We would like to come again :-)

We have been enjoying the wonderful ambience of Timmendorfer Strand for a week, and yesterday we were guests at Samoa for the third time. What a highlight, starting with the wide-ranging menu, the delicious dishes, the friendly and highly motivated team (although our colleague DERYA really needs to be mentioned here, who “spoiled” us so perfectly on two evenings). 4 stars for the ambience only because it was raining a bit last night and the “connections/gutters” between the umbrellas didn’t protect against regular showers (there are definitely more optimal solutions here). Again 5 stars for the colleague from yesterday (unfortunately I don't know the name), who came outside regularly, took the orders with her charm, and in between served guests a schnapps "in the rain" as a friendly gesture. Here you feel WELCOME as a guest

The restaurant is very very good, the food looks very good and the service is perfect. You need something like that in Berlin, unfortunately it's difficult to find good quality in Berlin and this restaurant is amazing

Great food, very nice service and perfect ambience

Restaurant Samoa is still quite new, and something else from all the usual Timmendorfer Strand restaurants was desperately needed. The interior design is modern, stylish and quite luxurious. It's clear there is a lot of effort and money put in. We had dinner at the end of a busy warm Saturday. We made reservations through the internet, but unfortunately our wishes for a table in the shade were not completely respected. Service however was fast and friendly (although a cheap body warmer at 31 Celcius! and worn-off sneakers for one member were really a no-go). Starters (tempura shrimp and shrimps in a garlic sauce) were good, but not excellent. The bread was missing some crunchyness and the mayonnaise could have been the typical Japanese mayo. The main dish was baked plaice fisch and bouillabaisse. The portion sizes were good, but the taste was a bit flat. Although highly recommended, the bouillabaisse was a long way from the classical French speciality. The accompanying bread should have been toast, Parmesan cheese was missing, and the soup was mainly consisting of chopped vegetables, not at all like the thick bound soup we know from the French cuisine. Dessert was the best part: chocolate cake with a nice soft filling, ice and berries. With some glasses of wine and two espressos we landed a bill just under €200, which is clearly too expensive for the value offered. There is certainly upward potential, and something innovative in Timmendorfer Strand is more than welcome, but Samoa needs to do a bit better.

The design looks fresh and new (the Samoa has only existed since this year :) ) A bit very gray but that's a matter of taste. The chairs are very comfortable. In general, you can tell that someone has put a lot of thought into how to stand out from the other, sometimes somewhat dusty, restaurants. The staff was attentive, quick and friendly. Sushi in advance at the highest level. My girlfriend had plaice as the main course and I had real veal schnitzel. Both are not exactly cheap, but they are fresh, very tasty and of good quality. Drinks are also slightly cheaper than in the surrounding bars. All in all it was a nice visit.

The food was delicious. The shrimp soup was great, the crispy shrimp roll was so good and the fish was flavorful. Derya was really helpful and recommended the best dishes for us! We enjoyed every dish from appetizers to dessert.

You walk in and are greeted by very friendly staff. So we felt valued straight away. The furnishings look harmonious and incredibly comfortable. The bench invites you to linger. If you want, you can look behind the bar, straight into the kitchen and see how the food is being prepared. Cleanliness of toilets and restaurant is excellent. The chicken fricassee was bombastically good, as was the baked potato with salmon and salad. Please keep it up here!! All the best to you!

The sea bream was very well prepared, fried crispy and the vegetables that went with it were also very tasty. A piece of lemon would have gone well with the fish. The restaurant is very stylishly decorated. The service was also good.

We discovered SAMOA by chance during a weekend trip and were immediately impressed, so we went there on two of the three evenings. The service is perfect - attentive, pleasantly Nordic, calm, authentic - every wish is met. The food was to die for!! Very creative cuisine, versatile, ingredients of the best quality, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is fresh, modern, very high quality and not off the shelf, but at the same time super cozy. Both evenings were perfect and we are already looking forward to the next time!

The food was excellent, I ate the spicy crispy tempura and it’s one of the best sushi’s I’ve had!! But not only the sushi was amazing but the seafood and pasta was definitely worth a visit. But it doesn’t end there, the service was welcoming, genuinene and super nice. The atmosphere was very nice too. If you are somewhere near, the restaurant Samoa is definitely worth a shot!!

After a total renovation, a harmonious, elegant interior ambience was created. A glazed kitchen area with the active creative chefs can be seen from several tables. The very large outdoor area is also newly equipped. We were thrilled about this because we also enjoyed visiting the previous restaurant. The menu is extremely varied (including sushi, schnitzel and pasta) and every guest is sure to find something to their taste. My baked potato with salmon, herb quark and salad was very well portioned. Super fresh mixed salad with the best dressing in a long time!! A very friendly, attentive service is particularly worth mentioning.

Misleading menu. On Sunday lunchtime, a lunch menu with sushi was brought to our table at a 30% discount, which we also ordered from. However, we were then asked to pay the regular price, pointing out that the lunch menu was not valid on weekends. Why we were given this lunch menu to order in the first place can be described as misleading. When asked about it, it didn't make me think. In order not to be misunderstood: the food was good and we had also given a decent tip beforehand. But we find such handling worthy of a WARNING. Therefore only one star!

Good restaurant, large menu, relatively expensive, lots of fish, but also vegetarian options which are okay, but would recommend it more for people who eat fish and meat.

We would eat at Samoa and can only recommend that everyone who is here in Timmendorf go out to eat. I had the pasta with salmon and never had such a taste explosion. Thanks to the lovely, friendly staff! We'll be back tonight!😋👍

We would like to be there more often, but unfortunately there are almost 500 km between us......😕 Great food, great service... We had cod and zander fillet...it couldn't be better on Timmendorfer Strand. Thanks for the evening, will be remembered for a long time.....😄😄😄 .

We were there for lunch and were really impressed. There is something on the menu for every taste. But I particularly enjoyed the Tuna Bowl. We'd love to come back.

Very nice atmosphere, nice staff, the food is nicely prepared, but the taste of the food was subpar. The entire dish only tasted like curry, otherwise completely without any spice. The vegetables were poorly cut and the broccoli was actually only the stalks. The shrimp were cold. 40€ for the bin! We eat out 3-4 times a week, but I haven't had anything like that in years!! I wonder where all the positive reviews come from, because my husband's food was similarly bad. A pity

This evening was our first time at Samoa and everyone was at our table ate fish dishes. Totally great and can't be beat. Great, delicious food and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. We will be happy to come back and look forward to receiving such kind, friendly and courteous service from Derya again. We recommend.

The menu offered excellent value for money and impressed us with fresh fish, perfectly prepared and with a refined taste. The service was also a real highlight: friendly, courteous and always attentive, the staff ensured that our stay was completely pleasant.

Great location, delicious food, great service. There were four of us and we had a great evening with sushi, sashimi, tuna steak, beef fillet, shrimp, goat cheese, etc. Everything was excellent. Despite the full house, the service was quick and very friendly. We'd love to come back! Update: Even 6 months later, the Samoa is still a top recommendation. Friendliest service, a super tasty boullaibaisse, great sushi. We were thrilled again.

Nice restaurant in a great location. Unfortunately, crispy fried fish is reminiscent of fairground quality. Completely overpriced. Shusi was very good. Otherwise you pay the Baltic Sea resort surcharge to be accepted.

On Sunday we spontaneously went to the Samoa restaurant to have lunch. The reception was friendly and we were given a nice table with space for a high chair. Then the menu came and the drink requests were taken. We were able to order food for our child earlier without any problems and then ordered our own food. There were children's nuggets, calamarata pasta salmon and the sushi platter. Everything came beautifully prepared and tasted great. The service was always available without being intrusive. Everything was within reasonable price and appropriate for the quality offered.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and the staff is very attentive and friendly. We see room for improvement when it comes to food. The starters were all delicious without exception and recommended, and a sushi roll I tried was also incredibly tasty. Unfortunately, the salmon for the main courses was overcooked and no longer had a glassy core. The core of the tuna was ok, but for €35 the piece was too small and there were very few side dishes. We think that for the prices quoted, everything has to be right on the plate. We would like to emphasize once again our friendly service at the table.

Very friendly and attentive service. The food could have used a little more seasoning - but it can be spiced up. However, it would be appropriate to accept standard credit cards for payment, especially in an area with a lot of tourism like here.

Das Samoa ist noch gar nicht lange am Start und das Team bereits bestens eingespielt. Wir hatten einen Tisch mit Panoramablick, so dass wir die Küchencrew bei der Zubereitung der Köstlichkeiten bewundern konnten. Eingestimmt durch den leckeren Grauburgunder des Hauses waren wir von der Speisenfolge sehr angetan. Die Sushiplatte war handwerklich und geschmacklich sehr gut, die Rotgarnelen schön pikant. Alle Currys kamen gut an, aber das Highlight war die Bouillabaisse, welche von einer riesigen 200 g Garnele gekrönt war. Auch der Edelfischbesatz konnte sich sehen lassen. Für den letzten Punkt zur 100 hätte die Rouille Sauce noch etwas mayonaisiger und pikanter sein dürfen. Unser Kellner verdiente in Sachen Service und Aufmerksamkeit ein hervorragend. Fazit: sehr gerne wieder!

Leider war das Essen nur lau warm, es wurde bei uns nur gesagt, wir geben der Küche Bescheid… naja, hätte man eleganter lösen können, bzw müssen. Ich habe etwas anders bei diesem Ambiente und den Preisen erwartet. Drum diese Bewertung.

Die Tischreservierung war sehr einfach im Internet. Der Service im Restaurant war sehr zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente habe ich als modern empfunden und hatte daher einen speziellen Charme, welcher nicht gerade zu den zahlreichen Speisen passte. Des Weiteren sind die Preise höher, als im Umfeld. Dies wäre im Grund kein Problem, wenn das Ganze entsprechend außergewöhnlich bzw. sich vom umliegenden Angebot abheben würde. Hier ist definitiv noch Luft nach oben.

Wir waren zu Dritt in diesem sehr zu empfehlenden Lokal und können für alle Hauptspeisen sowie Desserts 10 von 10 Punkten vergeben. Wir haben selten so perfekt gegessen und ein so ansprechendes Ambiente genießen dürfen. Wir verbrachten 3 Tage am Timmendorfer Strand und bedauern es sehr, dieses Restaurant erst am letzten Abend besucht zu haben! Auch der Service war perfekt

Hatten einen sehr netten Abend hier. Freundlicher und flotter Service hat uns die „besten“ Gerichte für unseren Geschmack empfohlen. Essen rundum lecker, wobei die Auswahl zwischen Sushi/Sashimi einerseits, mediterranen und gutbürgerlichen Gerichten andererseits schon etwas schräg ist. Aber die offene Küche scheint alle 3 Bereiche gut zu beherrschen. Ein klein wenig teurer als die umliegenden Restaurants, aber eben auch ein klrin wenig besser…
