Very tasty food and super friendly service.

So, dear friends, I have something to report again. I'm spending a week on holiday in Timmendorfer Strand. Now to the point: I'd like to share a very pleasant experience. On our first day of vacation, we ate at the Samoa restaurant and were delighted with the food and the excellent service. To be sure, we ate there every evening of the week, and it was very good. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding—everyone was friendly, polite, and very quick. I'd especially like to commend Derya (her name). Best regards, Hartmut

The food was of very good quality, but the taste didn't quite live up to our expectations. There was no sharp knife for the steak, and our server was friendly but very introverted and spoke very quietly, even though the restaurant was quite loud and chaotic. The air was also really stale and stuffy, with hardly any ventilation, and our clothes smelled. The location itself is very appealing. However, we weren't convinced by the value for money.

A visit to Samoa is a must during any stay in Timmendorf. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service.

We visited Restaurant Samoa expecting high-quality, delicious food – unfortunately, we were disappointed. The ahi tuna was presented without care, practically tasteless, and at €19, significantly overpriced. My wife's sushi was good, but nothing special considering the price. Our pasta dishes were decent, but not exceptional – and at €28 per portion, also too expensive. The food arrived very quickly, which is usually not a good sign of fresh preparation. The dessert (chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream) was the low point: obviously a pre-made product, just reheated – and all for a hefty €14.90. Overall, the price-performance ratio is simply not right. It wasn't bad, but for these prices, I expect significantly more quality and refinement. Anyone who truly values ​​good food will certainly find better alternatives in the area.

For dinner, we ordered beef fillet and truffle pasta, but received the pasta with Gorgonzola. The waiter was very friendly, and since we kept the food, they gave us a discount on the drinks. The food not only looked fantastic, but it tasted amazing too, which is to be expected for the price. All in all, highly recommended.

The ambiance was excellent, especially the seats overlooking the kitchen, which created a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly.

Very tasty and fair prices. We were there with two adults, two teenagers, and two children/a baby. The service was quick and very friendly. The children were given the children's menu to color in with crayons. We ordered fish and burgers from the lunch menu. The fish dishes were small, but very tasty and perfectly cooked. The prices (contribution card) are really reasonable by today's standards. The portion of the burger dish was good. The children's dish (also a burger) was too large. So, everyone was full in the end. The baby was easily and quickly given a high chair and unseasoned fries, and I was able to breastfeed in the restaurant. The location is also good. Centrally located, close to the Promeda and Sealife. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the main menu or sushi.

We visited the restaurant during our vacation and were very impressed. When we made our reservation, we requested a quiet table, which was fully fulfilled. The restaurant feels very authentic, as the kitchen is open and you can observe every aspect of the cooking process. We ordered a sushi platter for two and two desserts and were full and satisfied. The server was quite professional and was able to recommend two lovely wines. The restaurant was fully booked, but the atmosphere was still peaceful, and we didn't have to wait long for the food. A definite recommendation!

We had the ox cheeks and pasta with Gorgonzola sauce and strips of beef. At 5:00 PM on a Friday, you had to be lucky to snag a table. The food tasted perfect: the meat was tender, the pasta and carrots were firm to the bite—just as it should be. The quantity, price, and quality were just right; we'd be happy to go back anytime.

Our visit to the Samoa restaurant was a complete success. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and the service was attentive and friendly. You can immediately tell that guests are truly welcome here. We opted for sushi, and it was an excellent choice. The food demonstrates the emphasis the chef places on quality and precision. The rest of the menu also made a very good impression. The variety of dishes and the selection make it clear that a visit here is always worthwhile. A culinary highlight! Whether fish, meat, sushi, or vegetarian – everything is exquisitely prepared and of the highest quality. The reception was very friendly, we had a great table and a very nice waiter. We assume he was new and still in training, and he did a great job. 👍🏻 Everything was very chic and high-quality, the kitchen is visible, and you can watch how the food is freshly prepared. We each had a different dish: a sushi exclusive platter for one person, a Caesar salad as a starter, surf n' turf, and plaice with bacon and side dishes. Everything was perfectly seasoned and really deliciously prepared, both visually and tasted great. We had a small child with us, and that wasn't a problem. A highchair is available. Reservations are highly recommended, as it gets really busy, and rightfully so. We called and were able to drop in spontaneously; you can also reserve online. The restrooms and the path to the restaurant were really chic, and everything was clean. So, we'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

Based on the positive recommendations, we visited the Samoa Restaurant in Timmendorfer Strand. We were very kindly invited to a great spot on the terrace. Choosing the "Exclusive" Sushi & Sashimi Platter for 2 people for €109 was an easy decision. We were allowed to choose two rolls from a total of four. The taste and craftsmanship were top-notch. Everything was perfect, and the price-performance ratio – even for the location – is unfortunately completely outdated. And we will definitely be back. That was the best decision of the day. But why isn't the monkfish on the menu, despite the beautiful logo?

A real insider tip on Timmendorfer Strand. You feel welcome from the very beginning and leave with a big smile and a full stomach. The staff is super friendly, especially Derja, who took really good care of me, and the kitchen team is also really talented. The scallops and the hake with passion fruit and saffron sauce are a dream. The desserts, like the chocolate mousse, are also not to be despised. Simply brilliant all around. I'd love to come back on my next vacation.

The outdoor ambiance was a gas/coal-fired oven; some of the chairs weren't clean. Service was good and friendly, with enough staff. The steak was medium rare, only cooked on the inside; the mashed potatoes were bland/salty, and the gravy could have been better—expected more for the high prices. The flounder was good; the potatoes and cucumber salad were tasty; the bacon was bland. Overall, the prices were high, close to Timmendorfer Strand.

We were very happy with our lunch at Samoa. We had a delicious Caesar salad and an equally good currywurst with fries. The portions were generous, and the value for money was absolutely spot on, especially compared to other restaurants in the area. I had a great time at the Samoa, passing by for a lunch after walking on the beach. I had the matjes (German-style pickled herrings, less vinegary than you might expect) from the lunch menu and it was really good, if you like that sort of things. Salad and potatoes on the side were fresh and well seasoned. Very nice altogether!

A beautiful restaurant! The sushi and bowls were excellent, and the service was first-class! Attention allergy sufferers, we've come to the right place! :) We visited three times this week. Originally, we just wanted a drink and to see if there was anything gluten-free on the menu. To our pleasant surprise, the very charismatic waiter not only knew immediately where the allergen menu was, but was also able to recommend options for my various intolerances and allergies. Dessert included! All the staff were exceptionally friendly, cheerful, unobtrusive, and truly professional at all times. The food here is excellent and the service outstanding! We had sushi, hake, and various pasta dishes and were thrilled. I'm not exaggerating when I say the seafood here is some of the best I've ever eaten. From now on, this restaurant is an absolute MUST for us on every visit to Timmendorf.

Good fish restaurant, we could come again. But they seem to have had too many guests to serve the food right when it's ready.
