We received friendly and helpful service and were able to choose a table outside. Even though it took a while for someone to arrive, the staff was really nice and friendly, offering recommendations and finding solutions (for the kids). The food was clear and of excellent quality. We'd be happy to come back.

We tried to place a takeout order over the phone, but were told it was only possible in person. So my husband made the trip – only to be told they didn't have time to pack the food for takeout (???). Eating in, however, would have been perfectly possible, but with a sleeping child in the vacation apartment, that was obviously not an option. This inconsistent communication and the noticeably unfriendly attitude of the staff made the whole thing particularly frustrating. My husband drove there specifically and was ultimately turned away – without any apology or understanding. It's a shame, we were looking forward to the food. Unfortunately, this leaves us with a very disappointing impression.

Absolutely! You should definitely visit. We arrived yesterday and have already eaten and drunk there twice. The dishes are unique, lovingly prepared and served. The staff are really great, relaxed, and very friendly.

Never again in Samoa. The food was mediocre. The bar manager was very unfriendly. Because it was raining, it wasn't possible to move to the restaurant. Apparently, all the seats were reserved, which was definitely not true. 35 minutes later than advertised, the long table with 10 seats across from the bar, which we had politely requested, was still occupied by only one person!

We went there for lunch. We sat outside despite the rain. The friendly waitress immediately turned on the heaters for us and was very accommodating the entire time. You're still allowed to be there: The food arrived quickly, like in a fast-food restaurant. Then, I was emphatically dispatched. For a vacation evening with expensive main courses, I expressly expect more tact towards the restaurant's guests who have chosen to end their weekend evening there.

Maybe this is just complaining at a high level. But last year, the sushi platter for two people, costing around €70, included 4 salmon and 4 tuna sashimi. Now they've been removed and replaced with some not-so-great mince rolls. To me, this is a hidden price increase at its finest. The sashimi is now on the platter for €109.90... 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Yay, We ate excellently and what was on the other guests' plates also looked very tasty. However, due to the bridge day, we had to pre-order for 3 days. The inside is very modern and it's definitely nice to sit outside when the weather is good. Very nice, friendly service staff. The kitchen can be observed through a glass pane.

This was our third time at Samoa Timmendorfer Strand. We were warmly welcomed every time and this warmth continued throughout our entire stay. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very stylish and cozy. The child-friendliness puts a smile on your face. Our mouse was allowed into the kitchen for a moment today and was greeted so lovingly by everyone. An absolute highlight of our vacation. Thank you for the wonderful evenings.

The very last!!! We have tel. ordered a table, provided the telephone number and looked forward to a lovely evening... The person on the phone didn't really understand me and spoke very broken German... When we arrived at the restaurant we were informed that there was no reservation... The young receptionist asked a colleague (branch manager?, greasy to no end...) if he could help us - the defiant answer was no, only at the counter, or not at all... Friends, keep your eyes open when choosing a career!!! We have been regular customers at Aalkate on Fehmarn for years and were so happy last year that Timmendorf finally got such a nice and good restaurant, the food was great... After just one year you have already shown such arrogance that I will hate ever visiting the other restaurants again... Too bad...

I can't say anything about the food, because after initially making a reservation there, our group decided to go back because the offer didn't exactly suit us. That was a bit 'kindergarten' on our part - admittedly. We were very impressed by the female service. Hence the review for her! Absolutely professional reaction: She tried to please us regarding special requests and presented various suggestions. When it was clear that we wanted to leave, she was able to wish us a nice evening without any undertone. I was very impressed by the handling and advise the owners to keep this colleague at all costs!!!

Ordered various starters and main courses and everything was really successful. The Samoa is an enrichment for the gastronomy in Tdf.Strand and we will definitely come back. There's really nothing wrong with it. For me it was perfect. The sanitary facilities are worth a visit-:) Rarely have we seen such clean and well-maintained toilets in the restaurants in Timmendorf.

The Samoa Restaurant is in a top central location. The atmosphere is very modern and furnished with attention to detail. The outdoor terrace invites you to enjoy and linger with its comfortable seating. The dishes are visually beautifully presented and always of the highest quality. The staff is always attentive and very friendly and deserves a 1 with a star***** from me. The online table reservation tool is user-friendly. I also think it's great that lunch is served every day 4 p.m. there. Keep it up!!

We celebrated a birthday at Samoa and were absolutely thrilled! The food was excellent. The service was friendly, attentive and made the evening special. It was noticeable that everyone in the team made a great effort to ensure that the guests had a pleasant stay. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Ambience great, my food was delicious, Unfortunately, my friend's birthday dinner was a failure, her food was inedible! She is a vegetarian and ordered zuchinni spaghetti €21, which was inedible due to too much garlic. She then ordered something else, a vegetable pan. Still we had to pay for the food that was returned! €21 for the cook's mistake. Impossible! Mistakes can happen, we were also friendly when complaining. But that!!! No go. Better to eat somewhere else than be a vegetarian!

To be honest, I find it difficult to understand how so many positive reviews came about. Zoodels with chicken: The zucchini noodles seemed bland, the chicken was dry. Price: just under 30 euros. Bouillabaisse: Hardly any fish, plus a sticky baguette. Price: also just under 30 euros. The prices are disproportionate to the quality and taste of the dishes. In addition, the service was disappointing: the waiter was unfriendly and seemed annoyed. We definitely won't be coming back.

Stylish restaurant with good surf & turf offerings. However, we ordered pasta. Salmon and Gorgonzola are not recommended. A very large portion of pasta, both sauces were very watery and not flavorful. The Aglio & Olio, on the other hand, tasted very good. Service was ok, but we found it very artificial.

I ordered zoodles (zucchini spaghetti) (€21). The dish looked really good, but was inedible! , because of an incredible amount of garlic which was so dominant that all other flavors were masked. I just tried it and had to return it, almost untouched, as it was definitely not edible. Unfortunately, you also heard the loud and negative comments from the waitress and kitchen staff when the dish was returned (there wasn't much going on). This was very unpleasant. I wanted to have something else instead (I was really nice when I complained about the dish). I then ordered a vegetable pan. (€23) There isn't much choice for vegetarians. 😕 I still had to pay for the zoodles, which I wasn't told when I ordered the new dish. I come from the catering industry myself. Something like that is an absolute no go!!!!! Everyone can make mistakes, it's only human. But that was just cheeky and outrageous. A total of €43 for some warm vegetables. Take your hard earned money somewhere else!! Shame on you, Samoa team!!!

We visited the Samoa on a weekend in January. The reservation was made online on the same day, but you probably have to plan longer in the high season because the restaurant is a highlight in Timmendorf. The service was very friendly and extremely attentive; questions and recommendations could be answered quickly and with charm. The quality of the food was incredibly good, we ordered the Surf&Turf with king prawns and tagliatelle aglio e olio. The taste and portion are excellent, the only drawback is the price, which is definitely in the higher category. The ambience has a maritime feel, high quality with beautiful pictures and subtle background music. All in all a great experience, fantastic food, incredibly good service, we would love to come back!

Full marks! The restaurant is beautiful as soon as you enter. The whole thing is rounded off by a really great, friendly and courteous service. And if you think it can't get any better, you haven't tried his food yet. We had the cod fillet and the beef fillet. Both were absolutely on point! We were both absolutely thrilled! For dessert there was a chocolate cake and crème brûlèe. Best cream we have ever tasted! It was an absolutely fantastic dinner. We'll see each other again on the last day of vacation because there's no better way to end the vacation!

Very nice location and friendly service. Unfortunately, the lunch menu cannot keep up here. We had three different dishes, all of which were convenience food of the worse kind. It's a shame, we had hoped for more here.

As a starter we ordered a small selection of sushi. These were fresh and very tasty prepared. For the main course we each ordered half a duck and a cheeseburger for our child. The duck was very juicy and cooked perfectly, the side dishes just as good. Our son's cheeseburger also looked very tasty and was very large for a children's burger. The service was always very attentive and helped us a lot, especially with the sushi selection.

The Samoa restaurant is almost at the end of the business mile. Modern furnishings and a cozy atmosphere. The reception at the entrance was friendly and welcoming. Very nice and friendly staff. Menu with great sushi and large fish selection. There are also dishes on the menu for vegetarians. The dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. Price/line is reasonable. There is a large outdoor seating area for the summer season. From some seats you have a good view of the open kitchen and can watch the food being prepared. A table reservation is definitely recommended, as the restaurant is always busy, even in the off-season.
