We had the pike-perch fillet and the BBQ rib here – both were delicious, and the service was great, making the slightly higher prices absolutely worth it. The restaurant itself is also beautifully decorated. Definitely recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A culinary highlight on Timmendorfer Strand! We had an excellent 5-course menu with wine pairing from Weingut Bauer, an evening we won't soon forget. Each course was creative, finely balanced, and beautifully presented: 1️⃣ Flamed fjord salmon with blood orange, bitter lettuce, melon, and buttermilk, fresh and elegant. 2️⃣ Scallops with peas and shellfish foam – tender and aromatic. 3️⃣ Grilled vegetable tart with green sauce and North Sea crab – surprisingly sophisticated. 4️⃣ Beef fillet "Rosa" with potato gratin, wild broccoli, and Café de Paris sauce, perfectly cooked. 5️⃣ Dessert "The Fallen Flowerpot," a sweet, playful finale with white chocolate mousse, fruit, ice cream, and crumble. Great wines were served, which perfectly complemented the courses. The service was warm and professional, and the ambiance was stylish yet relaxed. Bartmans Kitchen is a true gem. The food is fantastic. We had steak and a fish dish. Everything was perfectly prepared. We can't say anything negative, as the food was simply perfect. The wine is also of good quality, which is acceptable. The service is fast and friendly, and also perfect. The ambiance is small, and right on the street, it's okay. But the interior is beautifully designed; it's very cozy.

I've eaten at many good restaurants – but Bartmann's Kitchen in Timmendorf am Strand truly surpasses them all! It's not just a restaurant, it's a stage for creative cuisine and flavor surprises like I've never experienced before. As soon as you enter, you can sense the attention to detail here – not just in the service, but especially in the kitchen. Every dish was a small work of art – both visually and taste-wise. The combinations are bold, innovative, and at the same time perfectly balanced. Classics are completely reinterpreted, and there are always sophisticated flavors that are rarely found in this form. For example, I had an appetizer with caramelized fennel, goat cheese espuma, and a hint of citrus – an unusual but ingenious combination that exploded on the tongue. The main courses were also a stunner: the sous-vide cooked lamb with lavender jus and celery cream was a poem. And the dessert with tonka bean, rhubarb, and smoked chocolate – simply world-class! What completely surprised me: The prices are more than fair for this quality and creativity. I would have easily expected twice as much at this level. The value for money is truly exceptional. The service was charming, attentive, but never intrusive – you can tell this is a team that pampers its guests with true passion. Conclusion: Bartmann's Kitchen is by far the best restaurant I've ever eaten at – a true gem on the Baltic coast. Anyone who loves good food should definitely experience this restaurant. I will definitely be back – and I'd love to give it six stars! 🌟

Because of a “discovery in passing”, we first read reviews and then made a reservation for the next day… all in all rather disappointing: a bread with butter as, as I see it, a normal welcome greeting, is shown on the bill at the end, the service is obviously overwhelmed (… among other things, a starter was forgotten) and unfortunately the food does not live up to expectations (… among other things, tagliatelle drowned in cream sauce, or whatever the dish should be called…).

We were regretfully relegated to the terrace, but there was no reason for that! Not only was the service excellent, quick and friendly, we also really enjoyed the food! The prices were reasonable. We will come back!

Were there as a family on Friday evening. Cozy atmosphere, service was super nice. Food definitely came from the microwave. 4 Wienerschnitzel for 100€, with cranberries (??????) and a cucumber salad from the bucket. It was a very expensive evening. The highlight was the drinks, which are served elegantly, but are poured from the 1 liter plastic bottle at exorbitant prices. The absolute laugh was the wild herb salad. That was weed 😪 So noble for snots with extreme demands, but not for us Rhineland-Palatinate!!! It was terrible and so overpriced that almost everything was returned. Nice service but price performance doesn't match. The next day, Saturday, I had a stomach ache all day. It's a shame that every shop in the area is like that.

In der Nebensaison haben wir freitags abends auch noch ohne Reservierung einen freien Tisch ergattern können. Von der ersten Begrüßung, bis zur Verabschiedung waren alle Servicemitarbeiterinnen äußerst freundlich, was man heutzutage leider nicht mehr oft erlebt. Unser Essen war hervorragend: eine butterzarte Lammkeule und ein riesiges, hauchdünnes Schnitzel in Braumalzpanade. Preislich war es für Timmendorfer Verhältnisse auch angemessen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen beim nächsten Urlaub in Timmendorf sehr gerne wieder👍🏻😃

The atmosphere and hospitality are positive. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. The veal liver went back because the meat couldn't really be identified as liver. It was partly wavy, crusty and soggy underneath (structure was dissolving). My husband was apparently unlucky, because at the table next to us we were told that the dish had been inactive a few days before. It was withdrawn without any problems. But the alternative “Schnitzel Wiener Style” was also disappointing. In our opinion it was fried and very greasy. The prawns as a starter were well prepared, but almost oversalted and the prawns were unfortunately very rubbery. The pike perch fillet with truffle risotto was very nicely prepared and tasted good overall. However, I didn't feel well the following day, whether it was because of the shrimp or the zander remains uncertain. Maybe and hopefully we were just unlucky.

We were here on New Year's Eve where there was a set menu. The aperitif and the greeting from the kitchen were very tasty, but the other courses exceeded our expectations. At the next table there were dishes for vegetarians, which were also very well received. A clear recommendation from me, as there were unusual combinations for me too, but they were on point in terms of taste.

It's worth enjoying dinner here. Not only people who love eating out will enjoy this small restaurant, I think someone who likes wine wouldn't be out of place here either. You have to be aware that the tables are closer together, so certain things shouldn't be discussed there ;) We had nice conversations so it was okay :) We had fish soup and a crab sandwich as starters. The main course was rounded off with a duck leg and chestnut gnocci. It was great! Thanks to the team for decorating the table for the birthday :)

We decided in advance for the "forest walk" and for the main course for the beef fillet and the saddle of venison. The food is of great quality and tasted perfectly. We spent an unforgettable evening at Bartmans Kitchen. The chef's advice was unique. Every course is an experience. The “Forest Walk” appetizer with all of its small components was incredibly fun. The fish soup was excellent, the braised ox cheek with vegetables on mashed potatoes was buttery tender with a fantastic sauce. For dessert we had a scoop of vanilla ice cream with crunch and caramel chip, which tasted creamy and full-bodied with good vanilla. It was a completely successful menu. We'll be back and would go to Timmendorf just to eat at Bartmans Kitchen. Thank you very much for the team making it possible for us to have a great evening.

Great restaurant and I actually wanted to give it 5 stars. Reservation definitely makes sense, we were lucky and spontaneously got a nice table. The service was extremely warm. Map not overloaded and varied. My impression is that the simple dishes here could be better. Example Pulled Pork Balls were a poem, while the “White Pearl”, reminiscent of fusion cuisine, was pale and meaningless 😐 the US Prime Beef Steak was on point and top quality! In the case of the most expensive dish on the menu, “Fillet and Braised”, the braised was a dry affair and that shouldn’t happen. The service also made a mistake here and didn't respond with more than a nod. Interesting selection of wines. I will come again, but then order the simpler dishes. Then the price/performance ratio is a little better.

It started with a stale champagne. Actually, that couldn't have happened because the bottle had only been opened yesterday. However, there was not a single pearl left that could have sparkled. The main course consisted of fish with celery mousseline - for the price it could have been a filling side dish to the very manageable portion. Price/performance wasn't right. All in all, not an atmosphere where you would want to be for even 1 minute too long.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Trüffelpasta war ein Gedicht. Für das Brot vorweg muss man aber 5 Euro hinblättern. Dafür hätte ich wenigstens leckeres fluffiges Brot erwartet, so ähnlich wurde es auch in der Karte beworben. Tatsächlich gab es aber zwei kleine viel zu kompakte Schwarzbrötchen, die wie ein Stein waren. Die dazugehörige Kräuterbutter war auch nur Kräutermargarine. Wo Butter draufsteht, muss auch Butter drin sein. Die Konsistenz der Brötchen haben wir bemängelt, aber auf der Rechnung waren sie trotzdem. Daher keine vollen Punkte.

Sensationelles Essen! Wir waren begeistert und haben überlegt wann wir das letztes Mal ( wo ?) So gut gegessen haben. Sowohl die Produkte, Gewürze und der gesamte Geschmack der Speisen waren großartig. Wir hatten die wirklich beste Fischsuppe seit langem und den Pulpo als Vorspeise. Als Hauptgang den schwarzen Heilbutt -ein ganz besonderes Geschmackserlebnis- und das Zanderfilet und wussten nicht was wir besser fanden. Alles in allem-1A! Wir kommen wieder! Vielleicht schon morgen zum Frühstücksbuffet :-)
