An absolute must for me when on vacation in Timmendorfer Strand - a wonderfully rustic, cozy little restaurant with, among other things, great fish dishes and a very nice boss. I particularly recommend the plaice. You should definitely remember to make a reservation.

We have eaten there in previous years. The food was good. But if you want to make a reservation there, it's only possible from October. I can't understand. We called and were told there was still a table available. The four of us set off immediately and were there in 7 minutes. There the owner told us that the table was now occupied. Great thing. Unfortunately we can't fly. Then she said we could have sent someone ahead. We didn't need to run to a restaurant. But half an hour to three quarters of an hour would be free again. No thanks. And if the question then arises as to how long we will be there, you could have saved yourself that. Because we would have had to run again to get a table. There are still no reservations. So our conclusion. This restaurant was crossed off our list. There are many good restaurants in Timmendorf and the surrounding area.

Super delicious food and great service.

Located somewhat out of the way next to the city's main artery, we highly recommend it! The ambience is rather rustic, the food is exceptionally good! Labskau was super good, as were the other fish dishes and the tarte flambée was also completely convincing! The service was just as friendly and accommodating, so a real tip in Timmendorf!

The quality of the food was satisfactory, but the portion size was not sufficient. Service was efficient and wait time for food was acceptable. The ambience of the beer garden was not appealing as it seemed unkempt and was located directly in the entrance area.

We really wanted some good fish and were unfortunately disappointed. Very small portions, we weren't full at all especially for the price and the spice was missing. We went home with a half-full stomach and our craving for fish wasn't really satisfied. Too bad

Wir haben einen sehr tollen und angenehmen Abend verbracht. Vorspeise: Knobibagurtte mit Aioli. Absolut empfehlenswert. Hsuptgang: Zwiebelschnitzel. Absolut top. Lokipfanne. Der absolute Hammer. Großes Lob an die Küche. Ein extra Lob an die Mädels vom Service. Richtig,richtig gut👍. Wir kommen wieder. 😀😃🙂

Very good food, you can tell it was freshly made. Moderate prices. The portions have been adjusted for the little ones, there are also puzzles and books for small children, high chairs. Very accommodating, no convenience products.

Sehr gutes Essen, moderate Preise. Man merkt, dass das Essen noch frisch gemacht wird, auch die Sauce war kein Convenience-Fertigkram. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, hat für unsere Kleinen auch angepasste Portionen möglich gemacht. Kinderspielzeug (Puzzle, Bücher) habe ich auch in einem Regal gesehen. Wir waren früh da und wurden schnell bedient, Gäste die später kamen wurden darauf hingewiesen, dass alles frisch gemacht wird und daher halt irgendwann Wartezeit entsteht.

On the recommendation of friends who live in the immediate vicinity, we had dinner here and were completely satisfied. We were served very friendly and courteously and received good advice on choosing the food. Everything was very tasty, especially the fish dishes are highly recommended. Considering the price level in the region, you can still eat well AND cheaply here!

The name actually suggests something with Vikings. But unfortunately none. Neither Flair nor anything else goes in that direction. Actually just a totally overpriced chip shop where the waitress talks to customers while smoking a cigarette.

We spontaneously went there due to many positive reviews praising the quality of the food and the reasonable price. The food was ok, not bad but not really good either. After we had to wait about 35-40 minutes for our food (empty restaurant during the week and eating for 3 people, 1 dish each), our food came. I had a cordon bleu with fried potatoes and my companion had a tarte flambée. As mentioned, the food was solid, but neither the quality/taste nor the size of the portion was convincing. For 20€ a piece of cordon bleu and a few fried potatoes, served with a lettuce leaf, a slice of orange and half a cherry tomato was just disappointing. I also tried the flamed cake and it was very tasteless. The otherwise very nice service unfortunately reacted a bit to the feedback and, in our opinion, took the "criticism" too personally. Which made the situation and ultimately our visit very unpleasant. It's a shame because the restaurant and the atmosphere were otherwise very pleasant, but the food was very bland and not appropriate for the price. We ended up leaving over €80, so more than €25 per person, and unfortunately we were of the opinion that every visit to a snack bar or fish stall would have made us happier. If I feel like I could cook this meal myself for a fraction of the money and time and eat a much larger portion, why spend so much money? Why visit this restaurant…

Aufgrund von vielen Positiven Bewertungen, die die Qualität des Essens und den angemessenen Preis lobten, sind wir spontan dort hin gegangen. Das Essen war ok, nicht schlecht aber auch nicht wirklich gut. Nachdem wir ungefähr 35-40 Minuten warten mussten, auf unser Essen (leeres Restaurant in der Woche und essen für 3 Personen, jeweils 1 Gericht), kam dann unser Essen. Ich hatte ein Cordon Bleu mit Bratkartoffeln und meine Begleitung einen Flammenkuchen. Das Essen war wie erwähnt solide, hat aber weder von der Qualität/Geschmack noch von der Größe der Portion überzeugt. Für 20€ ein Stück cordon Bleu und ein paar Bratkartoffeln, angerichtet mit einem Salatblatt, einer Scheibe orange und einer halben cherry Tomate war einfach nur enttäuschend. Den flammen Kuchen habe ich ebenfalls probiert und dieser war sehr geschmacklos. Die ansonsten sehr nette Bedienung hat leider etwas eingeschnappt auf das Feedback reagiert und unserer Auffassung die “Kritik” leider zu persönlich genommen. Was die Situation und letztendlich unserer Besuch sehr unangenehm gemacht hat. Schade da das Lokal und die Atmosphäre ansonsten sehr angenehm war, allerdings war das Essen sehr lieblos und nicht dem Preis angemessen gestaltet. Wir haben letztendlich über 80€ da gelassen, also mehr als 25€ pro Person und waren leider der Auffassung das jeder Besuch bei einem Imbiss oder Fischbude uns glücklicher gemacht hätte.

VERY DELICIOUS FOOD, GOOD AND ATTENTIONAL SERVICE! We received a very friendly welcome in this small, rustic restaurant. Since they don't accept table reservations here, we were lucky that we only had to wait a few minutes, which we used to study the menu. While we waited you could hear the schnitzel knocking from the kitchen. So it's clearly freshly prepared here. We were able to choose from a good selection of regional dishes and home cooking. The season menu presented various asparagus dishes. We decided on the spare ribs, which can be found under the “Haithabu specialties” section, and the cordon blue with beans and fried potatoes. The food tasted good and the presentation was also attractive. The entire time we were well looked after by the attentive and very friendly staff. A very good espresso rounded off our visit. We'd love to come back

A little away from the chic of the promenade, there is a pleasant alternative here with honest, but by no means less delicious cuisine: with fish casseroles and fish in a potato crust, there are some rather unusual dishes on the menu that were well worth trying for us. In addition, fair prices, extremely friendly hospitality and a very cozy atmosphere.

Like every year we were in Haithabu. This year even twice. You get very good food there at prices that are fair for Timmendorf. There are also some dishes on the menu that are only available there. E.g. Meat or fish in a potato coating, or fish casseroles. You sit comfortably and the boss not only serves you, but also has a few nice words for your guests. The restaurant is rather small and you may have to wait a while for a table as reservations are not possible during the season. But the wait is worth it.

Best Labskaus 😋😋 to kneel down on, the fish casserole is very tasty, everything is fresh, salad, vegetables, fruit are crunchy - the atmosphere is cozy. Sat relaxed outside. Only cash payment possible.

I've known the boss for a long time - it started with: Labskaus. Since I haven't been able to feast anywhere near perfect like the one from her kitchen (I've stopped trying others now), we actually travel by train from Hamburg. First and foremost to Haithabu (and the boss Tina) - the rest of the trip will be planned around this. A reservation is advisable because the tables are occupied shortly after opening. My friend has put his childhood trauma behind him and tried the dish mentioned above: he raves. Not just about the food, but also about the rest. Warm and funny.

We Andrea and Swen were in Timmendorfer Strand over the New Year and picked this restaurant out of Google reviews. The Haithabu is a small, cozy restaurant. The owner is very nice and accommodating. I ate the Holsteiner Schnitzel and the fried potatoes are recommended as a side dish. Although the restaurant was fully booked for the next day, the owner was able to squeeze us in, so we ate there twice. We can recommend the Haithabu 100%.

We were a bit surprised at first because the place seemed quite small (5 tables). The facility seemed clean and well-kept, a bit rustic, but we personally really like it. Friendly, nice, attentive service. Ordered fish, drank beer, delicious food! Cod fried on potato crust. Since we aren't fish eaters, we were even more pleased that we got such good food.

We were there in the summer with 3 families (4 children aged 1, 6 and 8) and were given a place in a quiet corner. The family with the older children was late and since we were there with two one-year-olds, we asked if we could order food, since such small children don't stay quiet for that long. The food was good, but the owner was visibly annoyed by the small children. During the meal itself, they sat in their high chairs and ate. The girl took 3 or 4 business cards from the bowl at the counter (mind you, on her mom's arm and next to the boss) and they ended up on the floor at some point (that's right, you have to pick them up so that no one slips on them) - that's when it happened unfriendly. The children were playing and running around in the corner, but the parents were always there straight away and no one sat inside for a long time because everyone sat outside because of the nice weather. The boss kept rolling her eyes because the children were playing on the floor. Then they stood at !knee height! colorfully painted fish, which of course interested the children. There was a direct attack in a tone to keep your hands off the fact that they were from your child - ok, you can understand it - then maybe you raise it a bit higher so that not every child or every dog ​​can get to it. When she said after dinner that we should quickly teach the children to sit still in the restaurant, all the parents were upset - one-year-old children - who sat in their high chairs while eating, are not 4 or 5 year olds understand. The girl's father also said the same. The only reaction was to look at the girl with the words "Yes, she...but he..." He's the same age - just a little taller than the girl. We were all more than served by so much unfriendliness towards all of us. The next day we were at a local wedding in another restaurant and there were probably 15 small children there - the staff was very child-friendly. However, praise goes to the employee - she was very friendly.

Wir waren im Oktober hier essen. Wir wurden freundlich bedient. Das Essen war wirklich gut und man sitzt auch recht nett und gemütlich, da es nicht so groß ist. Wir sind zwar alles Nichtraucher aber die Raucherinsel, bzw. Hütte, fanden wir witzig. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Parkplätze gibt es gleich nebenan, allerdings kostenpflichtig.

Wir hatten ein Flammkuchen, kann ich sehr empfehlen! & die Schnitzel sind frisch zubereitet waren sehr lecker 😋 Was ich vorschlagen würde ,ist die trockeneren Kräuter auf der Soße weg zu lassen und die Soße separat anzubieten.Da dass Schnitzel dann zu matschig nach der Zeit wird. Ist nur ein Vorschlag, war trotzdem super lecker, danke 🙏

Rustikal eingerichtetes Restaurant mit einer liebenswerten Bedienung / Patronin. Kein schicki-micki wie sonst in Timmendorfer Strand sondern ehrliche und schmackhafte Küche (wir hatten Fisch). Preis-Leistung stimmt und wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Fantastisch! Keine Extra Kinderkarte ABER da alles frisch zubereitet wird kann jedes Gericht kleiner und nach den eigenen Wünschen bestellt werden! Ein SUPER SERVICE, das Essen war so einfach lecker! Familienfreundlich noch dazu!

Essen war sehr lecker, aber die Portionen doch sehr klein. Schnitzel war Miniversion und zu dick. Ansonsten waren wir zufrieden, vor allem mit dem netten Service. Da am Timmendorfer Strand alles sehr überlaufen war, versuchten wir, zu reservieren, was allerdings nicht möglich war. Wir hatten aber Glück und bekamen einen Platz draußen.

Mein Mann und ich waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Abendessen heute. Ein sehr gemütliches, uriges Ambiente und dabei sehr sauber - eine Kombination die leider nicht mehr oft zu finden ist. Sehr freundliche Bedienung mit gutem Humor, schneller und aufmerksamer Service, auch telefonisch gut erreichbar und unkomplizierte Reservierung vorab. Getränke und Speisen kamen sehr schnell (wir waren sehr positiv überrascht!) und waren frisch zubereitet (ich konnte meinem Schnitzel beim Geklopftwerden zuhören). Super gebraten, perfekte Portionsgröße, preiswert und lecker - himmlische Bratkartoffeln! Mein Mann war mit seinem vegetarischen Flammkuchen ebenfalls glücklich und wurde sehr gut satt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier und wir fühlten uns gut aufgehoben. Wir kommen gern wieder und sprechen eine deutliche Empfehlung aus. Reservierung ist aber sicher nicht verkehrt, da es nur wenige Tische gibt.

Waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen unterwegs. Spontan auf einem Freitagabend Platz bekommen. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Die Portionen beim Essen waren für den Preis etwas klein, allerdings ist es genau die richtige Menge um satt zu werden. Auch wenn das Restaurant von außen unscheinbar ist, den Besuch ist es allemal wert!

Kleines uriges Restaurant , man kommt rein und geruchsmäsig denkt man , man wäre in einer alten Kneipe von früher angekommen.Bedienung an sich sehr nett , was ich frech fande , war wir bezahlen geben kein Trinkgeld und werden gleich gefragt ob etwas nicht in ordnung war .ist man dazu verpflichtet? Naja als wir das problem angesprochen haben keine Einsicht, nur naja liegt daran das die Melone in der Küche liegt .Also angeschnittene Melone lagert man kühl ..... und wenn mir ein Gast sagt die schmeckt ranzig vergorren, dann entschuldige ich mich und sage nicht, es sei der Hitze in der Küche geschuldet und noch kein anderer Gast hätte was gesagt. Hatten extra speckbohnen bestellt , diese schienen schon lange fertig gewesen zu sein und in der mikro aufgewärmt.....habe noch nie so trockene und schlechte Bohnen gegessen . Mein haithabuschnitzel dicken fettrand und überhaupt nicht gewürzt ..... weder Salz noch Pfeffer..die kartoffelkruste hat bisschen Salz gesehen ....ja der Teller war fast leer ....aber auch nur weil mein Mann nichts weg schmeißen kann .... ich habe den Salat gegessen und bin danach zu mc Donalds....hatte ich auch noch nie ...und nachdem sie so frech waren weil wir kein Trinkgeld gegeben haben zu fragen ob was nicht stimmt , noch weiter zu diskutieren was mit dem ganzen essen nicht stimmt .... Preis : leistung Katastrophe. Wär sagt preis: Leistung stimmt sollte ein bisschen weiter fahren , da gab es für uns ein 3 gänge menü für das gleiche was wir bei euch gezahlt haben .... und mega lecker....... 😁🫡

Mit der Schollen-Schulung (hatte noch nie so Fisch gegessen) war der Genuss einfach! Dazu Jever vom Fass, damit der Fisch nicht austrocknet. 😉 Alles richtig lecker, ordentlich Portion und fairer Preis in einem urigen Ambiente. Achtung: die Außenplätze sind sehr beliebt.

Gestern Abend waren wir zum ersten Mal da und machen uns gleich auf den Weg für's zweiten Mal ! Man fühlt sich wohl und kann dabei richtig leckeres Essen genießen! Nur zu empfehlen 😌🫶 Auch der 2. Abend war ein Fest...

Leider kann ich die positiven Bewertungen nicht teilen . Obwohl nicht viel los war über 1 Stunde Wartezeit. Der Flammkuchen war ok , wenn auch hochpreisig. Mein Schnitzel war eine Katastrophe. Knüppelhart und geschmacklich auch nicht gut . Bratkartoffeln lauwarm. Hatte vor, während meines Urlaubs hier öfter essen zu gehen. Das wird sicher nichts . Sehr schade .

Wir waren spontan dort zum Essen, ein kleines aber sehr gemütliches Lokal was zu verweilen einlädt. Ein sehr guter Service, bei toller Qualität des Essens. Hier kann mann auf jeden fall sagen dass, das preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.
