We ate really well! The meat tasted exceptional, as did the sauces, cheese, and desserts. It's been a long time since I've had such good baklava. Highly recommended!

Today we were at the Saloniki restaurant in the Ried district of Mittenwald. They know how to cook and serve beautifully. I had the fish platter, as you can see in the photo, with a giant shrimp and a baby calamari. The sauce over the baby potatoes was amazing. The gyro is incredibly crispy, and the tzatziki is perfect. We also love the wine spritzer served in a carafe with a large wine glass. I think adding a lemon to the water without even mentioning it beforehand is fantastic.

Nice restaurant with good service. It's somewhat hidden on the outskirts of town. We only found it by searching for a Greek restaurant in Mittenwald on Google. It was a lovely evening with delicious food. The gyro I ordered had far too much meat on the plate for my taste. They should offer a variety of portion sizes. Furthermore, the meat was very marbled. Since there was far too much meat anyway, I picked the best...

Overall, it was very good. For me personally, the portions were a bit too small.

Don't laugh, the black olives from our own production are really very good, with a wonderfully harmonious aroma – a rare find, but you can also buy them there. Werdenfelser Dark Wheat Beer is also surprisingly delicious.

The restaurant is highly recommended. It's located right on several hiking trails in the south of Mittenwald. It's an ideal place to refuel. The food tastes fantastic and comes in large, beautifully presented portions. Add to that a wonderful view of Mittenwald's natural surroundings and the restaurant's very friendly staff.

The food is simple but relatively tasty. You wait a long time to order.

Great Greek restaurant, a nice change from the traditional Bavarian fare in the area. The portions were generous and delicious, and we even finished with a free ouzo. We highly recommend it!

Let me start from the food. That was excellent! Clearly, this is not only the chef's skills, but it is also the olive oil used which makes the difference. The service was fully professional considering our order and the delivery of the dishes. Polite, quick and efficient! Finally, in my opinion, the atmosphere was great in that you can enjoy food while talking, sitting on a table at a safe distance from the other ones. Concluding, this restaurant is a must to visit!

The four of us stopped in spontaneously and, despite the restaurant being packed, we still managed to get a nice table. We enjoyed the food very much (grilled platter and gyro with calamari), and our children also cleaned their plates (they had kids' meals, gyro, and schnitzel). We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Mittenwald!

Unfortunately, it's a very German Saloniki. You can tell he learned his trade in German restaurants. My review is objective. They're very nice, but I find the authenticity lacking. The food is good and the location is very nice, outside by the sports field. It was very quiet when we were there, but it could certainly be different. As is usual in the mountains, parking is subject to a fee.

We sat outside, and the view of the mountains was truly magnificent, but the ambiance on the terrace and the furniture were a bit dated. The service was good and friendly. We had several vegetarian starters, as there are almost no vegetarian main courses. The stuffed mushrooms were very tasty, but the feta and pepperoni weren't impressive. It was okay for one evening, but we wouldn't go again.

A delight! Unassuming, but excellent food. We stopped here as a stopover during our Isar River bike tour.

All dishes are highly recommended! The service is extremely friendly and fast. The ambiance isn't typically Greek, but you still feel at home! The space is also suitable for birthdays or family celebrations. Unfortunately, and this is why we lose one star: There's no ventilation, so your clothes smell after your visit, as if you've been working in the kitchen there all day!

Delicious lamb skewer with rice and salad plus tzatziki

Anyone who loves Greek cuisine should definitely stop here. Despite the Bavarian setting, fish is a must, and tzatziki is a must. This is a family business with its own olive grove, and you can tell by the taste. Simply amazing! Thank you!

We came here by chance in 2024 - back then in the sun in the beer garden, so we have firmly planned our stopover here in 2025 on the way home. It was again very tasty - it's a shame that the restaurant is so far away from us. If we're nearby, we'll definitely come back!

We are THRILLED!!! As Greeks, we have been to countless Greek restaurants. So far, none have impressed us as much as Saloniki. The service is A1. The meat melts in your mouth. Starter platter is a dream. Go and see for yourself! It's clear to us that from now on we'll be traveling from Munich more often to eat with you after a nice hike! It couldn't be better!!!!!

Had dinner there with my wife yesterday after a long mountain tour. I have to say I haven't eaten a gyro as good as the one I had in this restaurant for a long time, and the salad was very tasty. It is definitely highly recommended to go there, food top service top.

Rather a subpar experience compared to other Greek restaurants. In my opinion, the portions were surprisingly small, the service was quite inattentive and the atmosphere resembled a disused clubhouse. The meat quality of the gyro could also be better. The portion was very chewy and stringy.

Nice Greek restaurant in Mittenwald with good cuisine could be a little more refined, the eggplant salad wasn't convincing, everything else was good standard. Here you can eat well without any special surprises but with very nice decoration. The staff was polite and friendly and relatively quick. The prices are fair.

The extraordinary reputation of the SALONIKI reached us in the Tyrolean Seefeld. So we hopped on the e-bike and cycled beautifully along the Isar, through the picturesque Riedboden straight to “Greece”. And it was worth it: fine food, very good wine, efficient service, fair prices. Friendliness isn't exactly exuberant, but that's probably the Greek characteristic and therefore completely ok for us. Thank you!

We had to drive from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Mittenwald to finally be able to enjoy the Greek food. Price-performance ratio was great. Portions also very good. Staff very friendly and accommodating... very nice restaurant. We will go here more often

Were in Saloniki on Tuesday after a leisurely mountain tour. The outside area is nice but nothing special. The service made us sit for 15 minutes before it came. But all the trivialities are made up for by the good food. An incredibly good, tasty, juicy gyro, very well seasoned and not dry like others. The calamari was also great and homemade. Very good tzatziki and the salad was also delicious, a great combination. The next time I visit Mittenwald I will stop by again, I promise!!
