Saloniki in Mittenwald

We were really disappointed because the restaurant was closed. According to the internet it is open - how can that be?

I think it's the best Greek restaurant I've eaten at. The dishes are really excellent and very tasty. Note of merit for the truly exceptional moussaka! Final bill normal

Die Fisch - und Fleischgerichte lassen eine wirklich guten Koch vermuten , der mit gutem Olivenöl und frischen Zutaten umzugehen weiß . Die Weine sind ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen . Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und es wird auch auf Sonderwünsche eingegangen . Wir kommen gerne wieder ! Dort kommt wirklich die Sonne Griechenlands auf den Tisch !

The extraordinary reputation of the SALONIKI reached us in the Tyrolean Seefeld. So we hopped on the e-bike and cycled beautifully along the Isar, through the picturesque Riedboden straight to “Greece”. And it was worth it: fine food, very good wine, efficient service, fair prices. Friendliness isn't exactly exuberant, but that's probably the Greek characteristic and therefore completely ok for us. Thank you!

We had to drive from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Mittenwald to finally be able to enjoy the Greek food. Price-performance ratio was great. Portions also very good. Staff very friendly and accommodating... very nice restaurant. We will go here more often

Were in Saloniki on Tuesday after a leisurely mountain tour. The outside area is nice but nothing special. The service made us sit for 15 minutes before it came. But all the trivialities are made up for by the good food. An incredibly good, tasty, juicy gyro, very well seasoned and not dry like others. The calamari was also great and homemade. Very good tzatziki and the salad was also delicious, a great combination. The next time I visit Mittenwald I will stop by again, I promise!!

Un ristorante adiacente al tennis club, semplice ma buonissimo. La moussaka era semplicemente FANTASTICA, meglio di quelle mangiate in tutta la Grecia. Gentil, puliti, veloci e corretti anche i prezzi. In una parola: SUPER!

For us it is the best Greek restaurant we have ever visited!!! The meat is buttery tender and juicy, as is the calamari. The side dishes were also perfectly seasoned and delicious. We received extremely friendly service and we are excited about the in-house olive oil that we bought in the restaurant. We will definitely eat there again on our next visit to Mittenwald. That's why it deserves 5 ***** and a 100% recommendation!!! Two years later we went back to eat here on holiday and my rating remains 5 stars! Some reviews are a mystery to me and I wonder if these people really reviewed the right restaurant. Delicious food for nice price as well. Good spot for a stop on a bike trip. We had to wait quite some time for order and food, but probably due to lack of personel. Waiter was very friendly and also apologized for inconveniences.

Selten in einem griechischen Restaurant so gut gegessen. Wirklich lecker zubereitet, auch mal andere Beilagen als nur "Pommes" das alles mit netter Bedienung zu ansprechenden Preisen. Schade, daß ich "nur" im Urlaub in Mittenwald war, sonst wäre es wohl mein Lieblingsrestaurant. So blieb es bei "nur" 3 Abendessen. Großer Biergarten, auch drinnen nett eingerichtet. Weiter so. Von mir eine 5-Sterne-Bewertung!

The food was good, I was amazed that you could find such a good Greek restaurant in such a seemingly remote place. The baked Kalamazoo rings were especially good.

We had lunch here and tried 3 different dishes, all of which were great! Meat was perfectly cooked and of good quality. The service was a bit quiet but still very friendly and I would like to come back.

The salad was more like loveless. The sea bream was actually well fried but way too salty! Staff could be expanded, prefers to watch TV instead of looking after the guests.

Had dinner here today on our vacation. What can I say. It was super tasty, juicy and not too salty. Price performance and quality were convincing. Friendly service. But you should reserve in advance. Cozy inside. Outside can still be improved. Otherwise everyone will find their dish here. We would love to come back 😉

Overall impression: I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. Ambiance: the ambience is quite nice, but there is also a table(s) from the living room of the 80s. Yellow-brown heavily worn tile table. Not attractive and hardly any light. Cannot be offered to guests (even if it is full). The reason we stayed was probably due to the lack of alternatives at that time. Food: The gyros was dry, Bifteki and Suflaki ripped it out again. Tsatziki very good. Portion size ok. Price is accordingly. Service: Staff with a lot of development potential. Overall, I would look for alternatives next time in Mittenwald.

Very tasty dishes. Incredibly delicious. Some of the portions were large - the starter was enough for me. On the other hand, the lamb fillet was very little. Hm. The ice cream was also big and delicious. The best Greek yogurt I've ever tasted. Diverse menu and fair prices. The store is rather inconspicuous and looks like a sports center. But don't be fooled, a good Greek! What is to be criticized are the numerous flies in the guest room, as already noted in other reviews. Unfortunately very annoying and actually unnecessary. Unfortunately our second visit wasn't quite as good. The food was still recommended, but one dish was misunderstood and brought, I forgot my salad, the spritz was watery, apple spritzer came instead of apple juice. Communication is rather difficult. There is no question as to whether everything fits and repeat orders only work with a lot of arm-waving because the service is rather inattentive. There is also a Greek folk music show on TV all the time. Surely someone likes it, but we don't - at least not in the long term. As you can tell, some guests receive an ouzo, others don't. Neither do we, which certainly can't be due to the generous tips. A pity. Very unfortunate.

We didn't quite figure that out When we came in, an older lady was sitting in the middle of the restaurant watching TV. She kept hitting her with the fly swatter. She's probably part of the team. However, he didn't greet us or help us in any way. Just sat behind us and looked at the TV above us. Very strange mood because of it. Wouldn't eat here again.

The restaurant is outside the pedestrian zone and is probably a tip from the locals. The food was delicious and the restaurant is incredibly friendly and beautifully and modernly furnished. When visiting Mittenwald you should definitely eat here!

Went there to eat because of the good reviews. Unfortunately we didn't fare so well. Portions relatively small. Quality and taste mediocre. Fact price performance not okay on that day. Asking for a second drink was not answered when we were there for around 2 hours. Well, bad luck.

Unfortunately, I ate much tastier. It's not bad, but I can't say that anything was delicious either. The fish was overcooked on the grill, the fries were not very fresh, the salad had almost no dressing. The service was better than the food.

Das Restaurant ist etwas abgelegen von Dorfkern aber mit Auto sehr gut erreichbar, dafür sind viele Parkplätze vorhanden neben Restaurant. Das Restaurant ist sehr gross aber sehr kalt eingerichtet, ausser der Griechischen Musik, fehlte uns in dem Restaurant komplett die griechische Atmosphäre. Die Speisekarte sehr griechisch wie erwartet und die Portionen dem entsprechend auch. Bei unserem bestellten Essen fehlte uns jedoch bei allen was wir bestellt haben der griechische tatscht. Die Qualität vom Fisch/Flesch war sehr gut, aber die Gewürze fehlte oder war ein tatsch zu viel.

You can really eat very well here. The ambience is simple and modern. Unfortunately, despite making an early reservation and many other tables still available, we only had a table for two with a view of the open kitchen door, which was less nice. In summer you can also sit outside on the large terrace. All in all a good and recommended restaurant!

With one of the best Greeks around. The food is highly recommended. The meat is always on point and simply delicious. Unfortunately, the service drops at some point and you have to point out every time you want something to drink. The only drawback about the Restsurant, when you go out you smell/stinks like a deep fryer. That's a real shame because you have to wash all your things after your visit.

Great restaurant with a very good selection of dishes, the large mixed starter plate is highly recommended! very good moussaka, juicy grilled meat and fresh salads. Above all, the cooking here is not too greasy like in comparable restaurants.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Vorspeisenplatte und Hauptgericht würde ich direkt wieder bestellen. Das Fleisch war auf dem Punkt und sehr gut gewürzt. Service und Ambiente könnten besser sein. Alles sehr altbacken hier.

Wer als Tourist nach Mittenwald kommt und was anderes als bayrische Spezialitäten essen will, der muss ins Saloniki. Nettes und modernes Ambiente, freundliches und zuvorkommend Personal und das Essen ist frisch zubereitet und schmeckt hervorragend. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Unser erster Besuch hier. Gut anzufahren, schöne Terrasse, Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen, Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen kam zügig. Hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Ouzo gabs auch. Preislich in Ordnung für einen Touri Ort!

Der erste Grieche in meinem Leben, wo es hinterher keinen Ouzo gab! Schade! Aber das Essen und das Ambiente waren ganz o.k.

Unser zweiter Urlaub in Mittenwald... Auf Grund unserer positiven Erfahrungen im letzten Jahr war unser erstes Essenziel das Saloniki. Wir haben das Essen genauso genossen wie den Aperol Spritz und das bayrische Bier. Besonders begeistern uns aber die lieben Menschen, die dieses Restaurant betreiben und ihre offene Art. Dazu der Blick auf die schönen Berge - alles perfekt! Leider müssen wir nach dem dritten Urlaub einen Stern in der Gesamtwertung abziehen. Wir waren in diesem Urlaub drei mal hier und haben trotz der Wahl unterschiedlicher Gerichte feststellen müssen, dass die Qualität der Speisen deutlich zurückgegangen ist (Service nach wie vor top!). Wir hoffen, dass das im nächsten Jahr anders ist und würden uns freuen unsere Einschätzung dann wieder positiv ändern zu können.

Können wir nur empfehlen, auch wenn es keine bayrische Küche ist😊

Ein griechisches Restaurant mit den typischen Speisen.

Essen ist ganz ordentlich, aber ich habe auch schon besser griechisch gegessen. Der Service war gut.

Wenn ich die Rezessionen hier lese, denke ich der Koch hatte zwischenzeitlich gekündigt. Im Vergleich mit anderen griech. Restaurants empfand ich das Essen mittelmäßig und zudem nur lauwarm. Der Reis war fad, der Filetspieß ebenso. Der Service hingegen war in Ordnung. Schade. Vielleicht hatten wir eben einen unglücklichen Moment erwischt.

Total lecker das Essen. Netter Service Im nächsten Urlaub sind wir wieder dort zum Essen. Nur der Ouzo nach dem Essen fehlte

Απίστευτη Ελληνική κουζίνα με φαγητά νοστιμότατα, μαγειρεμένα με παρθένο ελαιόλαδο Καλαμάτας! πραγματικά σπάνια στον χώρο τής εστίασης για νά μήν πω είδος προς εξαφάνιση, σέ πανέμορφο περιβάλλον με χαλαρή ελληνική μουσική καί με άψογη καί φιλική εξυπηρέτηση, απλά τέλειο!!!
