I was really close and called ahead. All tables were already reserved, but I was sorted between them. I got my long-awaited Kaiserschmarrn even though I had already passed the 5 p.m. limit. Vacation saved! What can I say? Food very tasty, kitchen apparently capable. Quite nice service. Great ambience. That's how gastronomy works! Absolute recommendation. A great, small restaurant at the end of Mittenwald city center with a small but nice menu, so that everyone can find something for themselves. My wife had the Jägersschnitzel and I had the Cordon Bleu. The waiting time was ok, but we weren't on the run. What immediately stood out were the homemade fries. You don't see it too often. The Cordon Bleu was relatively large and freshly made. My wife's Jager sauce was made from fresh mushrooms and was very tasty. Almost everything here was very tasty and the price was absolutely reasonable and even cheap in comparison. We will definitely eat here again next time! Oh well, the service was very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Top

Reserved for 7 p.m., we arrived on time, we got something to drink at 7:20 p.m., and the food was served with a drink at around 7:15 p.m. At 8:30 p.m. we didn't have anything to eat, so we complained and left hungry. Service is very bad, we can't rate the food because we didn't get anything, and the people sitting next to us didn't feel any different either. So if you're hungry and can't wait at least an hour, you've come to the wrong place. We'll never go back and we don't recommend it. If there were zero stars, this restaurant would deserve it.

Went to Wildfang yesterday afternoon for a drink and a snack. The service was very friendly and very quick considering that you had to serve alone. The desserts apple cake and yeast dumplings were okay, perhaps a little below expectations due to the good reviews and pictures. We would be happy to give the main courses a chance on our next visit :) The ambience is of course always a matter of taste, it didn't seem quite right to us🙃

The best restaurant in Mittenwald! We ate almost exclusively here and could recommend every dish. We're on vacation and we're happy to wait for a good meal.

We've eaten here 4 times in the past week. Everything is just right here. Delicious regional food, extremely empathetic service staff who also respond to special requests. The price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. We can recommend Wildfang without reservation.

We went to this great restaurant twice during our vacation. Once at lunchtime, once in the evening. Eye-catching waitresses, very attentive. On one day we had farmer's pan, cabbage rolls and as dessert curd strudel and yeast dumplings. Super delicious! During our evening visit we had to wait a little while until a table became available (but since we were under no time pressure, that didn't matter to us). We had pork medallions and spinach dumplings as well as apple strudel and apple fritters for dessert. We weren't disappointed with the taste on this day either. Total spent ~€60 with drinks for 2 people. Absolute recommendation! Thank you for these particularly delicious evenings and for allowing us to eat this delicious food!

So we are in Mittenwald two or three times a year. The Wildfang restaurant has been a must for years. The food is absolutely great and not to mention the staff 🥰 We have rarely experienced something so nice and accommodating. Always in a good mood. 👍👍Thank you very much for that. Absolutely delicious food at a fair price. The service is very close to the guest. I find the often criticized waiting times to be appropriate for such fresh and delicious preparation. We will be back!

The rating 5/5 is a complete understatement, that's a 10/5. Everything fits here. From the rooms (very tastefully decorated) to the service (very attentive staff, always nearby with a few friendly words on their lips) not to mention the kitchen. The dishes are a poem and incredibly delicious. Kudos to the kitchen.

The waitress is really nice, portions are big, food is nice, good athmosphere. BUT! Only sit there if you have plenty of time! Service was a little slow.

We really liked it here. The service is very friendly and the food is very tasty. We were there late in the evening and were lucky to get a table and eat, you should make a reservation. We had the Viennese style schnitzel with fries, afterwards we were full after the 2 huge schnitzels. Extremely delicious. Another evening we had currywurst, we had never had it so delicious in a restaurant before. And last but not least, a heavenly yeast dumpling. Top!

Nach 17.00 Uhr gibt es Kaiserschmarrn nur auf Anfrage, dennoch, trotz vollem Restaurant, haben wir einen super köstlichen Kaiserschmarrn bekommen. Tolles Ambiente. Klein aber fein. Es gibt nur 8 Tische, deshalb ist eine Reservierung von Vorteil. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Macht weiter so. Daumen hoch.

Braten in zarter Form, Kartoffeln kross gebraten und eine Sauce die alles köstlich umrandet. Von den Schnitzeln, den Salaten und Aufläufen ganz zu schweigen, schon lange nicht mehr so gut genossen. Und das alles von einer sehr herzlichen Bedienung.

Gute Küche freundliche Bedienung. Kann man durchaus empfehlen.

Super Essen, Bedienung echt freundlich nur haben wir leider ca. 1,5 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet. Aber es hat sich gelohnt

Das Essen und der Service wirklich lecker, leider wie jedes Jahr, dauert es ca. 1 Std, bis das Essen da ist - egal, ob man nur einen Salat bestellt. Die Kellnerinnen sagen ausgelassen "alles der Reihe nach". Aber eine Stunde ist wirklich wirklich zu lange.

Normalerweise bekommt man erst warme küche ab 12:00 . Wir wurden trotzdem bedient. Was ein Traum.

Lange Wartezeiten (wir haben eine Dreiviertelstunde) gewartet, sind hier wohl der Standard. Für die Bestellung eines Tiroler Gröstl ist das sicherlich nicht angemessen. Zwischendurch hatte ich ebenso an der Theke nachgefragt, wie lang es denn wohl noch dauern wird. Die Antwort von der Bedienung, sowie dem Koch, der hervorkam, waren aber nicht erfolgsversprechend. Der Koch sehr unverschämt, unfreundlich und von Gepflegtheit eher weniger die Spur, kam nur die Antwort, gedultet euch, Ihr seid den Vertrag eingegangen, ihr müsst euch dran halten. das Essen kommt schon irgendwann. Als das Essen kam, wollten wir es beinahe nach kurzem Probieren wieder zurückgeben. Es war völlig geschmacklos, man hat nur Salz geschmeckt. Zu der Zeit waren nur wenige Tische besetzt, von Stress konnte also nicht die Rede sein. Von anderen Nachbartischen hörten wir ähnliche Kommentare, zu dem, wie wir es erleben durften. Sehr lange auf das Essen zu warten, bei einigen war die Rede von einer Stunde, unappetitliche Speisen... Nachdem wir dieses Restaurant verlassen haben, habe ich mir die Bewertungen angeschaut. Einige deckten sich komplett mit unserer gemachten Erfahrung. Wie und wo die anderen guten Bewertungen zustande kamen, ist mir nach diesem Besuch völlig fraglich.

Super freundliches Personal und super leckeres Essen. Wird auch gerne auf persönlichen Wunsch vom Koch individuell zubereitet ☝️ Nur zu empfehlen 😍

Tradycyjna bawarska kuchnia na bardzo wysokim poziomie.

Hier wird Service und Gastro gross geschrieben! Wenn Waldpilze angeboten werden, erhält man auch Waldpilze und keine Champignons. Die Cheffin nimmt sich jedem Wunsch gerne an. Die Küche ist ein Genuss.

Super tolles Restaurant auf dem Obermarkt. Tolle Karte, auch für Vegetarier geeignet, alles frisch zubereitet und super nette Bedienung. Immer gerne wieder

Wir hatten eine Spätzlepfanne und Bratkartoffeln mit Spiegelei und Gemüse bestellt. Das Essen kam nach 45 min, unendlich lange gewartet. Eine Nachbestellung von Getränke war schwierig, die Kellerinnen sehr beschäftigt mit anderen Gästen. Das Essen war leider enttäuschend, die Bratkartoffeln salzig und dunkelbraun. Das Gemüse TK. Die Spätzle leider ähnlich. Wir hatten mehr erwartet. Das Lokal sieht ansonsten gepflegt aus und ist mitten in der City von Mittenwald.

Bei einem Besuch in Mittenwald hatten wir eine kurze Einkehr geplant. Neben Topfenstrudel und Apfelstrudel mit Eis haben wir den hausgemachten Kaiserschmarrn bestellt. Geplante Wartezeit waren 30 Min. Unsere Nachbarn am Tisch haben insgesamt 1,5 Stunden und wir dann eine knappe Stunde auf den Kaiserschmarrn gewartet. Ungewöhnlich war auch die Reihenfolge des Service. Zuerst das Essen und dann die Eisschockolade bzw. der Eiskaffee. An den Nachbartischen wurden in der Wartezeit lecker aussehende Portionen geliefert die auch von der Menge her wirklich gut aussahen. Unsere Bedienung war sehr nett, die Andere eher weniger. Vielleicht war Sie aber auch nur sachlich und ich habe es falsch wahrgenommen. Ach ja, zahlen mit Karte ist durchaus möglich.

Der Besitzer wurde gewechselt und jetzt sind alle super lieb und freundlich! Das Essen ist immer super lecker und große Portionen sind es auch. Lieblingsrestaurant

Selten habe ich so ein tolles Restaurant erlebt ! Die Menüs sind vielfältig und in der Qualität mehr als 5 ⭐️ Sehr lecker ! Zudem ein sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Service Personal. Die Ausstattung im Restaurant ist toll und geschmackvoll, die Terrasse ausreichend groß mit tollen Blick in den Ort! Warum woanders hin??
