Restaurant Wildfang in Mittenwald

Probably the best service from the waitress we’ve had since coming to Germany. Great menu, amazing food, and good prices. For lunch I had a small salad with the beef goulash and it was enough to fill me up. Our family will definitely be back.

We had dinner there with 6 people. Among other things, 2 children (5 and 6 years old). The service is very friendly, courteous and on point. Drinks were taken immediately and brought promptly. The food we ordered came after a short wait and was extremely tasty. Empty drinks were immediately “filled up” as requested. All in all, a very nice and enjoyable evening. We'd love to come back. What struck me as particularly positive was the interaction with the children. The waitress asked without being asked whether the children's food should be brought forward and then brought it with the adults' starter. Very attentive.

Very fresh delicious food. Have the courage to spice things up - you don't have to season anything just right. The Kaiserschmarren is a dream. Service really warm

We sat outside in the sun and just enjoyed a delicious cappu, but we really liked the ambience and will definitely come back for dinner when the opportunity arises. Staff very friendly and warm.

I came at really short notice and without a reservation and luckily I was able to get a free table. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is very nice and you feel like you are at home. I had a delicious homemade farmer's pan, which is highly recommended

Ate there for the second time this week today, everything was delicious, the friendly lady in the white blouse was very accommodating and friendly despite there being a lot of people there. 👍👍👍

We were at Wildfang on Christmas Day and were thrilled that there wasn't just a small Christmas card. The atmosphere was very cozy and appealing. The staff, especially Miss M.😊, very attentive and friendly. We felt welcome straight away. The food was of great quality. Absolutely recommended. My personal highlight was the Penne a la Wildfang. Thank you, we'll be back.

After a hike we looked for a restaurant to eat. Were not disappointed, the food was good and the service was very friendly.

Absolutely incredible experience. The service was fantastic. Came for lunch and sat outside, once it rained we were graciously transitioned inside and I can't say enough about the service of the waitress. She was extremely attentive and everything we had was phenomenal, would absolutely go back anytime I'm in Mittenwald.

Unfortunately service is semi, no communication. We waited over an hour for our food despite the restaurant being empty. The food itself is always great, even if the prices are slightly higher compared to other restaurants.

I was really close and called ahead. All tables were already reserved, but I was sorted between them. I got my long-awaited Kaiserschmarrn even though I had already passed the 5 p.m. limit. Vacation saved! What can I say? Food very tasty, kitchen apparently capable. Quite nice service. Great ambience. That's how gastronomy works! Absolute recommendation. A great, small restaurant at the end of Mittenwald city center with a small but nice menu, so that everyone can find something for themselves. My wife had the Jägersschnitzel and I had the Cordon Bleu. The waiting time was ok, but we weren't on the run. What immediately stood out were the homemade fries. You don't see it too often. The Cordon Bleu was relatively large and freshly made. My wife's Jager sauce was made from fresh mushrooms and was very tasty. Almost everything here was very tasty and the price was absolutely reasonable and even cheap in comparison. We will definitely eat here again next time! Oh well, the service was very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Top

Reserved for 7 p.m., we arrived on time, we got something to drink at 7:20 p.m., and the food was served with a drink at around 7:15 p.m. At 8:30 p.m. we didn't have anything to eat, so we complained and left hungry. Service is very bad, we can't rate the food because we didn't get anything, and the people sitting next to us didn't feel any different either. So if you're hungry and can't wait at least an hour, you've come to the wrong place. We'll never go back and we don't recommend it. If there were zero stars, this restaurant would deserve it.

Went to Wildfang yesterday afternoon for a drink and a snack. The service was very friendly and very quick considering that you had to serve alone. The desserts apple cake and yeast dumplings were okay, perhaps a little below expectations due to the good reviews and pictures. We would be happy to give the main courses a chance on our next visit :) The ambience is of course always a matter of taste, it didn't seem quite right to us🙃

Super friendly and attentive service. No matter how busy it is, it is always taken care of. The Kaiserschmarrn was great. Dinner was also delicious and the portion size was enough for even those very hungry.

The best restaurant in Mittenwald! We ate almost exclusively here and could recommend every dish. We're on vacation and we're happy to wait for a good meal.

We've eaten here 4 times in the past week. Everything is just right here. Delicious regional food, extremely empathetic service staff who also respond to special requests. The price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. We can recommend Wildfang without reservation.

We went to this great restaurant twice during our vacation. Once at lunchtime, once in the evening. Eye-catching waitresses, very attentive. On one day we had farmer's pan, cabbage rolls and as dessert curd strudel and yeast dumplings. Super delicious! During our evening visit we had to wait a little while until a table became available (but since we were under no time pressure, that didn't matter to us). We had pork medallions and spinach dumplings as well as apple strudel and apple fritters for dessert. We weren't disappointed with the taste on this day either. Total spent ~€60 with drinks for 2 people. Absolute recommendation! Thank you for these particularly delicious evenings and for allowing us to eat this delicious food!

So we are in Mittenwald two or three times a year. The Wildfang restaurant has been a must for years. The food is absolutely great and not to mention the staff 🥰 We have rarely experienced something so nice and accommodating. Always in a good mood. 👍👍Thank you very much for that. Absolutely delicious food at a fair price. The service is very close to the guest. I find the often criticized waiting times to be appropriate for such fresh and delicious preparation. We will be back!

The rating 5/5 is a complete understatement, that's a 10/5. Everything fits here. From the rooms (very tastefully decorated) to the service (very attentive staff, always nearby with a few friendly words on their lips) not to mention the kitchen. The dishes are a poem and incredibly delicious. Kudos to the kitchen.

The waitress is really nice, portions are big, food is nice, good athmosphere. BUT! Only sit there if you have plenty of time! Service was a little slow.

We really liked it here. The service is very friendly and the food is very tasty. We were there late in the evening and were lucky to get a table and eat, you should make a reservation. We had the Viennese style schnitzel with fries, afterwards we were full after the 2 huge schnitzels. Extremely delicious. Another evening we had currywurst, we had never had it so delicious in a restaurant before. And last but not least, a heavenly yeast dumpling. Top!
