Isarhorner Alm in Mittenwald

Leider hatten wir Pech mit 2x Wurstsalat ohne Wurstscheiben sondern mir gestiftelter Wurst und Parmesan beim Schweizer Wurstsalat mit nicht frischem Brot. 3x nogo, mia san doch in Bayern, also bitte auch Wurstscheiben, ordentlicher "schweizer" Hartkäse drüber und viel weniger Essig und a frisches Brot🙏ist doch einfach, also mia machen ihn so seit Generationen😉 und das Pergoladach spendet viel zuwenig Schatten 🥵

Das Essen war sehr gut die Bedienung etwas grimmig drauf hätte freundlicher sein können oft habe ich gedacht er hört mir nicht richtig zu eigentlich wollte ich zwei Portionen Pommes bestellen habe aber nur eine bekommen aber das war nicht so schlimm weil mein kleiner schlief auf der Bank die Chicken Wings wie ich bekam waren sehr lecker aber was ich nicht schön fand dass man die Soße direkt rüber gekippt hat somit waren sie nicht mehr knusprige einige lagen dann sogar mitten in der Soße dass ich so aufgeweicht waren das wollen sie nicht mehr essen konnte... Unschön ebend meine Frau hatte käsespätzle die waren sehr lecker da bekonnt man fast nicht genug so lecker waren die...

Leider war unser Besuch aufgrund des Service enttäuschend. Der Kellner war von Anfang an unhöflich. Als wir höflich fragten, ob wir Englisch sprechen könnten, antwortete er: „Wir sind in Deutschland, hier spricht man Deutsch.“ Das war sehr unprofessionell und wir fühlten uns dadurch nicht willkommen. Ich bestellte ein alkoholfreies dunkles Bier, bekam aber stattdessen ein alkoholfreies Lager. Als ich darauf hinwies, dass ich etwas anderes bestellt hatte, meinte der Kellner, es gäbe kein alkoholfreies dunkles Bier, was schlichtweg nicht stimmt. Wir bestellten Rippchen mit Pommes. Die Pommes waren absolut fantastisch – mit die besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Die Rippchen waren gut, aber nichts Besonderes. Ich bestellte außerdem einen Salat, der aber leider nie ankam. Insgesamt hatte das Essen einige positive Aspekte, aber der schlechte Service hat das Erlebnis völlig überschattet. Aufgrund des erlebten Services kann ich dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

„Nur“ ein Campingplatz Restaurant von dem sich einige Restaurants eine Scheibe abschneiden können. Super Service und eine extrem gute Küche. Natürlich wenn es voll ist, hat man gewisse Wartezeiten, wir saßen trotzdem nicht auf dem Trockenen und das warten, auf das super Essen, hat sich gelohnt. Für den Isarhorn-Burger fahre ich gerne 4 Stunden her😋 Vielen Dank an die freundlichen Gastgeber.

Leider war bei unserem Besuch der Service nicht so freundlich wie erhofft, nachdem klar wurde, dass wir ein Gutscheinbuch nutzen wollten. Da wir aus der Nähe kommen und keine Urlauber sind, war es für mich leider kein Anreiz für einen weiteren Besuch ohne Gutschein oder eine Weiterempfehlung an Freunde. Niemand wird gezwungen, es wäre für uns auch ok nicht am Gutscheinbuch teilzunehmen. Wir wünschen alles Gute, hoffen es war nur ein schlechter Tag und es läuft sonst besser.

Es ist eigentlich ein Campingplatzrestaurant, aber ein richtig gutes! Das Essen dort ist einfach köstlich. Und alles ist hausgemacht! Ich kann den Pulled-Pork-Burger und den Isarhorner-Alm-Burger wärmstens empfehlen. Man kann auch Essen mitnehmen, aber sie liefern nicht. Die Atmosphäre ist etwas weniger einladend, da es direkt an der Straße liegt.

Schade wenn man um 20:20 Uhr gesagt bekommt, dass es für heute Abend nichts mehr zu Essen gibt.

Kleine aber gute Karte, immer für einen Stop gut.

Wir haben köstlich gegessen und der Service war sehr freundlich. Die Portionen waren zwar nicht riesig, aber mehr als ausreichend. Bestellen Sie den Beilagensalat bitte selbst, da er nicht im Preis inbegriffen ist.

Wir sind heute auf dem Campingplatz angekommen und waren direkt dort essen. Wir hatten einen sehr leckeren Schweinebraten und der Service war super nett. Eine klare Empfehlung 😊.

Ich war vor zwei Wochen wunderbar

Essen wäre eigentlich ganz gut . . . Habe zum Mitnehmen die große Portion Spareribs mit Beilage genommen. Wir bekamen dann einen Berg Spareribs ( für 4 Pers. locker ausreichend ) und eine kleine Hand voll Pommes ( nicht mal 8 Stk. pro Nase ). Fleisch war gut, aber halt ein bisserl einseitig ohne echte Beilage. O-Ton Wirt: wir können euch zu den 1,3 Kilo Fleisch doch nicht noch ein Kilo Pommes mit dazu geben . . .

Preis-Leistung einwandfrei Große Portionen, für jeden was dabei.

Restaurant in super Lage mit tollem Ausblick. Das Essen war OK und der Service sehr gut

Bei gutem Wetter war es draußen auf der Terrasse voll, aber im Innenraum war noch Platz. Bedienung sehr freundlich, der Koch auch. Der Pulled-Pork-Burger mit Pommes war extrem lecker - besonders das selbst hergestellte Burgerbrötchen war der Hammer. Zum Einkehren während oder nach einer schönen Wanderung an der Isar entlang durchaus empfehlenswert.

Seit dem Personalwechsel im Dez. 2025 wieder echt top. Essen ist sehr lecker, Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir kommen wieder!

Für uns war es eine neue Speisekarte mit sehr leckeren Speisen. Waren in der Vergangenheit öfter hier, weil unser Wohnwagen auf dem Campingplatz Isarhorn steht. Haben 2x Pulled Pork Burger und ein Schnitzel Wiener Art gegessen. Sehr gut und Portionen reichlich. Preis/Leistung top. Personal war super freundlich. Wir kommen wieder!

Putziges Lokal an der Einfahrt zum Campingplatz,rustikale Location mit tollem Bergblick und mit supernettem und lustigem Bediener/Ober.Gerichte selbst zubereitet,liebevoll garniert und sehr lecker und preiswert! Jederzeit gerne wieder,macht weiter so!

Wir haben köstlich gegessen. Die Gulaschsuppe war der absolute Hammer, und der Salat war auch superlecker. Aussicht, Atmosphäre und Service waren einfach spitze! 👍👍👍

Zurück aus dem Urlaub komme ich endlich dazu, von unserem Besuch letzten Dienstag in der Isarhorner Alm zu berichten. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen dort und können nur Positives über den Service, das Essen und die Preise sagen. Die Speisen waren alle frisch zubereitet und wir sind äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient worden. Das Lokal hat sich die 5 Sterne absolut verdient und wir kommen in unserem nächsten Urlaub gerne wieder!

Gastfreundlichkeit top...100 Punkte. Der Gastwirt plus der Koch (zu zweit) und das in einer vollen lokal zu Silvester...eine Meisterleistung. Geschmacklich auch 100 Punkte. Große Portionen rechtfertigen den Preis. Wir kommen wieder!!!!!!! Liebe Grüße von Familie Etzold

Eine gemütliche Alm auf einem schönen Naturcampingplatz

Unfortunately, it was disappointing: tiny portions (e.g., 5 small pieces of meat as "goulash" for €21), a wait time of over 45 minutes, and a very unfriendly waiter to boot. The value for money is completely out of reach. Not recommended.

I didn't enjoy the Schweinshaxe (particularly the gravy with it), or the service.

The food was very tasty, the service was completely stressed and took this out on the customers.

A nice restaurant, but understaffed, so the waiter has to serve the entire restaurant and also cover the bar. Therefore, the good man is understandably stressed and tense and can't provide good service to 50 guests. But that's probably more the fault of the manager than the staff. Improvement needed!

It was always busy during our vacation. We ate there three times. Schnitzel, burgers, and apple strudel. Just what we needed after a long hike. The waiter desperately needs help!!!

For me, the meal was unsatisfactory. The gentleman who served us was very unfriendly, especially after he noticed that I had a voucher book and wanted to use it. He systematically ignored us after we ordered. He didn't even ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. We ate quickly and vowed we wouldn't stop there again. We weren't vacationers, but from the surrounding area. He didn't see any tips from us.

The food was very good, but the waiter was completely unmotivated and spoke to me a bit strangely twice... once when I showed him the coupon book and once when I wanted ketchup with my fries! Sorry about that!

Camping Isarhorn near Mittenwald – a worthwhile trip for years!

We have been going to this place for many years, a great place to linger, pure nature, simply top.

Waiter was a bit rude, beer was good, fries were ok.

The food would have been good if it weren't for that unpleasant waiter! Sorry, but he was very unfriendly and unpleasant. Thank you, we won't be coming back. It's a real shame, and several other guests can say the same today!

This campsite is one of the most beautiful places in Germany and beyond. The surrounding nature is just as stunning as the campsite itself. The team is fantastic, super friendly, and very professional; the pitches, the restrooms, and the restaurant are all unique. Mittenwald is very close, and there are endless hiking trails. We'll be coming back here more often. I would give it 6 stars.

We thought, "...oh yeah, eating at the campsite is definitely convenient after a day of hiking..." and, to be honest, didn't have high expectations. The high quality of the food and the flavor combinations were a very pleasant surprise - we ate there four times during our several-week stay. The Isarhorn Burger received the only award "best burger I've ever eaten." The Devil's Burger and Pulled Pork Burger also impress with juicy patties and unique, homemade (!) burger buns. But Czech/Bohemian dishes, such as Svickova (?!) with a uniquely delicious vegetable sauce, as well as schnitzel and fries in general, are also highly recommended. The portions are generous, and the prices are absolutely fair. Of course, there are waits when it's busy - but I'm on vacation, have time, and understand that I have such top-notch food on the table! We can't comment on deliveries, but a quick note from a personal perspective: I can't expect delivered food to work as well as food served on-site—that's my opinion. A highlight was a small spice mix I received—thanks again for that. We wish Daniel and Hans all the best and hope you reach your destination.

Best camping beer garden we've ever been to! Great selection, including creative and alternative vegetarian dishes such as a spicy halloumi burger, tasty porcini mushroom gnocchi and exceptionally good crispy fries! Also super friendly, personable and flexible chef and fair prices for the high quality! Portions aren't huge, but they don't have to be as long as the dish is otherwise GREAT and it really is! Highly recommended! Feel free to come back here even without camping! 😊

Wow, We had dinner here today based on a recommendation and yes, it was great We both had burgers (see picture), one large and one small The meat was fried to a medium medium and the roll was brought home or from the bakery? In any case, I didn't buy it frozen, it was simply delicious Come by and try it We'll be back then it's time for the ribs 😍

Ordered food here today for the first time via delivery! The burgers (pulled pork and grand bacon..) and fries taste very good and the delivery person and the gentleman who took the order were very friendly! The delivery time to Mittenwald was just under 30 minutes. Thank you!

Great, we spontaneously stopped there and ordered a burger, plus a small salad... Picked up 20 minutes later and eaten in the apartment. Burger 1A, great buns, perfect patties, everything well topped; the fries delicious; and the salad, which was almost too much, freshly made with a good dressing... From that point of view, anytime and gladly again 😋 ...there will be photos next time, maybe I was just too hungry today 😬😄

At least 10 stars from us 🤗 Since we miss Czech cuisine so much, we were completely happy to find “Svickova” on the menu and real goulash soup or garlic soup as we know it from our childhood. It tasted like Grandma's 🥰🤗everything was homemade, even the bread according to a traditional recipe. Pork knuckle and other dishes are also highly recommended and we will definitely come back to try the other dishes. Burgers with homemade bread were also very tempting for us. Unfortunately there wasn't any room left in my stomach as the portions are very generous 😊 The chef and service leave nothing to be desired ☺️ see you soon 👋

Very nicely located campsite, directly on the Isar. Bus stop at the front of the main road. The lady at the reception is very friendly.

Ate very well. Service was also great. You can tell that they do it with ❤️. The garlic soup is perfect 👍. No cream soup like in every restaurant.

We came back to the campsite after a long day of hiking and were looking forward to something tasty and hearty to eat because the menu sounded very promising. Shortly after 7pm we sat down and asked for the tickets and were told there was no more food. It is questionable why warm food is offered until 8 p.m.

Very nice food !! Schnitzel and potato salad is 10/10 !!! Unlike other comments, the chef and waitress were very nice to me. I couldn't speak German, but she was very kind trying to explain everything!! Thanks I'm visiting again !!

Very nicely located campsite, nice bike rides, great area, everything was great.

Full 5 stars from us. We ate out almost every day for 7 days and were thrilled. Almost everything is freshly prepared and with fresh ingredients, except for little things, but that's ok. Good Bohemian cuisine. In the evening it was often a bit too much, but we can live with that because everything is fresh again the next day. Waitress and waiter very assertive but still in the mood for jokes. We can highly recommend a visit.
