Very good burgers at fair menu prices. The sweet potato fries are also very good.

I was here with a friend in a wheelchair and a dog. We received a friendly welcome, and Tobias immediately offered to help with the wheelchair due to the small step at the entrance. The food was also brought to our table – very attentive and friendly! I had the Giggly Smashed, my friend the Truffle, and we had fries with it. The Giggly Smashed is by far the best smashed burger I've ever eaten: super juicy, great flavor, a fluffy, crispy-on-the-outside bun, and the three sauces perfectly round it all off without being soggy. The fries are quite thick and taste great, with a nice crispy exterior. Only the extra bacon on the Truffle Burger wasn't crispy and didn't really have a bacon flavor. I recommend the Giggly Burger; it's absolutely delicious!

A cozy place having an indoor and outdoor. A Solo player doing everything at the restaurant. The food took some time to be ready because one person is taking orders, delivery, doing food... Burgers are tasty and specially the smashed burger. Portions are very good. Prices are very reasonable and affordable.

I went here based on a TikTok recommendation and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The burgers were excellent, well-cooked, and super juicy. The bacon fries were also delicious. A tip: maybe avoid going to the Old Town on a Friday or Saturday during peak season, as it's packed then. The service was friendly, and I would go back. The price is a bit steep if you have one or two special requests. I paid €46 for two people.

Ruffs Burger presents itself as a modern burger joint with urban appeal – appealing design, a variety of burger options, and delivery or pickup options. The location is located in a densely built-up inner-city area and is likely to benefit from walk-in customers. However, the official inspection report from August 2025 reveals significant hygiene deficiencies: A cockroach infestation was discovered in the basement, and numerous insect cocoons were found. The dishwasher sprayer was contaminated with mold; the dish basket also showed similar findings. In the snack bar kitchen and at the counter, stubbed-out cigarette butts were found on the edge of the sink. The ceiling was rigged with a sticky trap infested with fruit flies. The entire production room, including the dough mixers, was heavily soiled, necessitating a thorough cleaning of all equipment and surfaces. The staff restroom was extremely dirty – the toilet, sink, and dispensers (soap, paper towels) were significantly contaminated. Food items (e.g., rye flour, flour, sugar, salt, yeast, ghee) were found in this area. At the time of the inspection, the business was closed, and the status reports that the deficiencies still exist. During a further inspection on August 19, 2025, it was stated that the above-mentioned deficiencies had been remedied – cleaning and disinfection measures had been implemented, and a pest-free certificate was available. (Documentation status) Conclusion: Ruffs Burgers had very serious hygiene deficiencies during the inspection in August 2025 – particularly in areas such as pest infestation, mold growth, contamination of dishwashing areas, and basic equipment. It is positive that cleaning measures were documented after the inspection, and a certificate was submitted. Guests are strongly advised to pay particular attention to the visible cleanliness of the kitchen, counters, appliances, and sanitary facilities during a visit and to check whether the improvements are being implemented permanently.

I don't know of a better burger joint in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. Super friendly service, a fantastic atmosphere, and the rooftop terrace in particular round out the top-notch quality. I recently had the Nashville and loved it. I'd go back anytime.

I actually only went to Ruff's because my train was cancelled at the main station, and my next connection had a three-hour wait. So I went... I'm telling you. I almost couldn't stop eating so much. I originally only wanted to order one burger, but I ended up devouring three. The taste was amazing, and the price was totally okay for three big burgers. I'd go back anytime. :)

This was the best burger I have ever had. I usually struggle to eat food full stop but especially with any kind of haste. I got this burger down in probably less than a minute! Each bite felt like it was better than the last and i couldn’t get enough. Perfect amount of sauce and toppings. The chips were also really good too, the meal came to €13,50 (about £12 as I’m posting) and came with a glass bottle drink which I havent seen in the UK for years. The guy serving me was very polite, patient and helpful. His customer service is amazing despite the fact I made no effort to speak german, he was comfortable speaking english which was perfect after a long day in the sun. The size of the meal was insane it fed both me and my mum happily with leftovers. We were visiting Dussledorf for surgery, but I might come back just to visit this place😊such a shame we only went on our last day or it would easily be my everyday place to go for a meal. Amazing food, good quality, quick and friendly service. In short, I couldn’t recommend it enough.

We came here by accident. It's the best thing we've eaten in Germany and the Netherlands. Everything is very fresh and filling, and we ordered three types of Smash. We took advantage of the promotion and ordered the classic and Giggly varieties. The service was excellent. We were also recommended to try the local beer, which we enjoyed. Thank you very much. P.S. Before that, we visited De Burger in Eindhoven, but the bread was stale, less tasty, and more expensive.

We were here on Sunday late afternoon/early evening. The burgers were amazing! I had the Vegan Cheese & my boyfriend had the Classic Smash (or rather, three of them, because he liked it so much 😂). The vegan burger is sure to appeal to non-vegans/vegetarians too ☺️ The fries were also spot on👌🏼 Even though there were 10 of us there, we were all able to eat together – the guys timed it perfectly. The staff were also very friendly :) Based on the reviews from others, the truffle fries, sweet potato fries, the Holy Guacamole, the crispy chicken, and the veggie burger were also highly recommended! After the renovation and change of management, the place is sparkling clean. We'd love to come back & highly recommend a quick stop for a good burger 😊

The burgers were super juicy, the meat was top-notch, and the combinations were great, with fresh toppings and truly delicious sauces. The buns? Just right—not too soft, not too firm. Ruff's Burger has just opened in Düsseldorf's Old Town – and of course I had to stop by. I had the Giggly Smash Burger 🍔 with fries 🍟, both of which were absolutely delicious! A lovely burger joint spread over two floors in the heart of Düsseldorf's old town. The Classic Smash was truly delicious, and the other burgers looked really good too. The small rooftop terrace is especially inviting. No comparison to the usual fast-food chains and significantly better than rival restaurants like Goldies and the like. Excellent value for money and super friendly service. They offer Füchschen Alt or Paulaner Helles beer to wash it down.

The employees need to pay particular attention to their hygiene! Accepting banknotes with the same gloves used to prepare the burgers is unacceptable. They also understand that it's hot in the summer and you sweat, but when I smell the employee's Swiss, a red line has been crossed. I used to enjoy coming here, but this is disgusting.

The burgers in this establishment are delicious, you can't argue with that - the meat is juicy, the buns are fresh. But it's worth considering that you need to buy potatoes and other side dishes separately, so the lunch is not the most budget-friendly: one burger - from €11.50, and that's without everything. There was a goodshare for the "1+1 burger and drinks" promotion, but in the end we had to pay for both drinks. The staff explained this as an "error in the ad", although in other establishments with the same promotion everything works without problems. If this is not the first time such confusion occurs - perhaps it is worth simply revising the wording of the promotion so that there is no feeling that guests are being misled. Overall - decide for yourself. There is taste, the atmosphere is ok, but the sediment from the situation with the promotion remains.

Waited a long time for food (40 minutes, local half full) Tables very greasy. Need to be wiped more often. But the burger is simply delicious. Kids and parents happy.

At 8:45pm on a Thursday we (two females) were refused service, ‘because there was only two people working behind the counter’. There was one other couple inside and 4 people outside. It was not busy. We were refused service because, although we tried, we do not speak German.
