Hulala – Pretty Burger & Drinks in Düsseldorf

The atmosphere is cosy, the food is good and the staff are helpful, welcoming and friendly. I visited for a birthday lunch and stayed until the evening because of the atmosphere, music and cocktails. I even got an ice-cream :) Obrigada!!!

Ein wirklich fantastisches Restaurant im Herzen der Stadt! Die Getränke sind hervorragend – kreativ und geschmackvoll, genau das Richtige, um den Abend zu genießen. Das Essen ist köstlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam, was den Besuch zu einem rundum angenehmen Erlebnis macht. Ein Ort, an den man gerne zurückkehrt, um besondere Momente zu genießen.

Great location, delicious food!

Like Mäckes just cool. We really liked the very tasty castles and salad with the surfer atmosphere. No cardboard boxes, no drinking cups. Price also great. It's a shame that we only vacation here, I would come there more often.

Unfortunately not good at all! The Chickn burgers and fries tasted like old fat and were at most lukewarm. When we entered the restaurant there was neither a friendly hello nor a thank you or goodbye as we left. We weren't even asked if it was tasty even though we hadn't finished it. There wasn't much going on and yet the food was bland and the staff were inattentive. Very unfortunate. By the way, the water consisted more of ice than mineral water. …

Stylish restaurant with exclusively vegan dishes. The taste didn't blow me away that day, but I haven't tried all the dishes yet and, as we all know, it's a matter of taste whether you like it or not😄 We just didn't like the donuts as dessert because they were way too hard and we here As usual, we expected soft donuts. Still worth a visit overall.

Dry fries, tasteless burgers and drinks. I didn't see anywhere that their burgers are for vegans. So when I eat a smashed burger I just expect meat. But unfortunately, they served market frozen veggy burger patties.

The salad was very good and large, the burger unfortunately had frozen patties and was rather lower standard - other shops can do burgers worlds better. Otherwise nicely furnished, ordering via order machine (which has been used by large burger chains for years) and is quickly prepared and delivered to the table in a friendly manner. Not for sitting comfortably together - but that's not really the concept of the store.

Very nice, bright location. Beautifully designed and superbly furnished. Great food, quick service. We didn't know there was vegan food. It was very tasty. Fries were very crispy and deliciously seasoned.

The price is unbeatable and the fact that everything is vegan means you can feel deeply relaxed when ordering. The chicken is a bit dry otherwise I like all the burgers. Maybe a little more peanut sauce on the peanut burger. The restaurant tests drinks and listens to guests' opinions. Above all, the lunch special of 10 euros for burgers, fries and a drink is unbeatable. The furnishings may look a bit too system catering

Overall, a very nice team and a nice restaurant with a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. I had a non-alcoholic Peach Mojito, which was very tasty but unfortunately didn't really taste like peach but rather like mango or lemon 😂. Otherwise the food was great, highly recommended. Especially for someone who would like to try plant-based.

Hello, today we came across the HULALA restaurant in the old town of Düsseldorf, which opened a few months ago, by chance. We were there with our two grandchildren (5 and 7). We were impressed by the service, courteousness and above all the friendliness despite our two grandchildren, which you can't necessarily say in every restaurant! We immediately felt welcome again and again!

The food in the restaurant was really excellent. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more pleasant. I felt completely comfortable and would love to come back!

Iced tea was good, beer was more like barbecue.

We were here today and wanted to have a soft serve ice cream with brownies, so we ordered, sat at the table and a few minutes later an employee came up and said "the ice cream is out, do we want something else instead." 🍦 Since we were so excited about the ice cream, we said no and got our money back. We still ended up ordering an iced coffee and a peach mint lemonade and a small brownie to go. There was no packaging for the brownie, which is why we ate it on site. It was solid, but tasty :) The lemonade didn't taste like a peach at all, more like a mango or something like that. 🍑🍋 It was sour and not sweet, so it was the perfect refreshment on a warm day like today. 🌞 You get 5⭐ for the ambience, the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff! Maybe we'll stop by again when we're back in Düsseldorf!

As a meat eater, I'm happy to accept alternatives if they're good. They advertise "Juicy burgers, crispy snacks, crunchy salads", but unfortunately they miss the authentic "real" burger experience and, above all, the taste. The ordering machines also give it a bit of a McDonalds feel and then the thing also asks for a tip! 🤣 The only juicy thing is the prices! For two plant-based patties with dry buns, "loaded fries", which unfortunately taste like old cardboard, plus two really tasty drinks, a whopping €36!!! That's why I love going to Carlsplatz to eat. Unfortunately it was the first & last time I was with you 👋🏻

Food ok, but nothing special. The decor creates a nice vibe of this place, but the restaurant is primarily about the food. ;)

The atmosphere is really really nice. Unfortunately, the normal burger patty is a bit spicy and the hulala sauce tastes like peanuts. The lemonade is super delicious, as are the fries 😋

We had delicious burgers and the salad was also good at fair prices. The store is nice and well-kept and I also like ordering via the terminals. However, the fries weren't great, seemed like cheap frozen fries. If the fries were better it would be a 5* rating. You can park easily in the parking garage in the LIDL building, which is on the other side of Carlsplatz.

100% vegan but super tasty and I say that as an actual meat eater 🤭 there is a large selection of citizens, salads, snacks, delicious homemade lemonades, delicious desserts. Orders can be placed either at the self-service terminal or at the table via smartphone. You sit in a nice atmosphere either inside or outside with a view of Carlsplatz. Price-performance ratio is always right and the staff is super friendly. Definitely worth a visit and it won't be the last time

The place is total nonsense, the patty tastes like cardboard, then it's better to go hungry. Also to the team, 50% of the order was not delivered and then asked to re-order, big nonsense.

Hello, I was visiting Düsseldorf from Berlin and was invited to dinner here. The burgers (I had the BBQ smash burger) are excellent, especially for the price. The chicken tenders as a side were awesome. The drinks are also delicious. Here I can recommend the rhubarb-grapefruit spritzer to you. At the end there was a delicious ice cream on the house. If I could give it six stars I would. I'd love to come back :)

It's no use if everything looks "pretty" and Instagrammable, but the food is inedible. The fries were over-fried and already cold and tough when they arrived. The sauce on the classic cheeseburger was too sweet and took away the heartiness of the chessburger. The patty also had a rubbery consistency. Fries and burgers are actually two things that are hard to screw up. I suspect that the restaurant is based on its location on Carlsplatz, which is visited by a large number of tourists or one-time guests and therefore doesn't make any effort with what it offers.

Great range of vegan burgers, snacks and salads. Everything was very tasty and the staff are very friendly. When we are back in Düsseldorf, we will come back here!

First of all, I would like to emphasize that I really praise and support the sustainable vegetarian concept. The staff were all very friendly, attentive and accommodating and the restaurant itself is visually beautiful and charmingly decorated. They really put a lot of thought into every little thing (napkins, coasters, etc. all in their own design). However, I have to fundamentally criticize one point. For one, the big question I asked myself is why I couldn't order drinks without ice cubes. Despite the request when ordering and after service at the table to get the drinks without ice cubes, we were told that the owner did not intend this. Why? Please just leave them out if the customer wants it that way. Personally, I don't like it when the drink only tastes like water after 5 minutes because the cubes have melted. As long as it is not possible to buy drinks without ice cubes, I will not buy any more here. The two different soft drinks (hulala and apple, grapefruit) were tasty and enjoyable for the first 5 minutes. My wife had a cheeseburger and I had a chili cheeze burger, neither of us being too impressed. In my opinion, my wife's burger was tasty, but unfortunately it came to the table already cold. For my own burger, I would actually recommend that the owner either leave out the nachos or use a lot more sauce, as I found the burger to be too dry. The fries were also very limp. I didn't think this was so bad because they tasted good, but half of them were over-salted. I also find the Sausen price at €1.20 really expensive. At Peter Pan or Hans im Glück, the simple sauces are available at the table for free. Hopefully a few things will improve here as I really wish I could go here more often. I hope I gave the owner some good suggestions and I look forward to next time.

The food was super delicious! The Ceezeburger patty had a rather firm consistency and a strong BBQ flavor. It might not be for everyone! The fries with mayo and the aperitifs were perfect :) Service super friendly!🫶🏼

Ambiance was very good, I felt ripped off while eating. I ordered at the terminal and couldn't find any mention of vegan food anywhere. The burger wasn't as expected. There is no Coca Cola etc. here either. The menu navigation was not ergonomic. Asking people to leave a tip at the terminal is also cheeky.
