Yesterday we went to the trade fair in Düsseldorf with friends and had something to eat there afterwards. I have to say that my Philly CheeseSteak was excellent. Colleague had the BBQ burger and was also very enthusiastic. Clear recommendation

Burger restaurant in Altastadt. Burgers are not bad. Average. Pstates are sweet and normal, we tried both of them. It didn't have a crispy consistency. He prepared it. It is not close to what is done in Belgium and the Netherlands. The staff was friendly and attentive. middle class place

All in all, a disastrous evening. A very very bad service. In particular, the “boss” of the restaurant was unfriendly from the start and anything but customer-oriented. The other employees were also very moody. After a long wait for the food, much of the food was brought to the table incorrectly. The burger was okay, but nothing special. Way too bad for the price. Bought burger buns from the discount store. The meat was the only bright spot. At the end, drinks appeared on the bill that were never drunk. If possible avoid this store!!

In my opinion, Bob & Mary is the best burger place in Düsseldorf. Unfortunately, we discovered last night that the size of the portions had become smaller and the quality had deteriorated, meaning that the price-performance ratio was no longer appropriate.

Very bad and unfriendly service. We waited over 1.5 hours for our food and when we asked, we were stopped in an unfriendly manner. We were also put in the last corner where it was over 30 degrees. Not recommended!!

Disappointing experience - Long waiting time and rude staff We were looking forward to a lovely evening in this restaurant, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. We had to wait far too long for our food, which was annoying in itself. When we politely asked how long it would take, the staff spoke to us in an extremely unfriendly tone. This type of treatment of guests is absolutely unacceptable. The food itself was okay, but unfortunately the negative service completely ruined the evening. We definitely won't come back and can't recommend the restaurant.

This burger joint was a complete disappointment. We had to wait over two hours for our food, and when we finally asked politely, the waitress turned us away in an extremely unfriendly manner. It seemed like our request was completely ignored. When the food finally came, it was also prepared incorrectly. To make matters worse, the bill contained food that we hadn't even ordered, including wine and an additional burger. I've really never experienced such bad service. I will definitely never go here again!!!

I won’t argue - the burgers are really very tasty, and that’s undeniable. The atmosphere is light pathos. But the whole impression was spoiled by the sluggishness of the staff. At first I waited about 20 minutes for the waiter's attention. Well, waiting for the order just added to the unpleasant feeling.

We opted for the classic burgers, with sweet potato fries and classic fries - all of which were very tasty. We also recommend trying the mango-chilli dip! Unfortunately, we didn't catch the name of our waiter, but he was very friendly and attentive!

Bob & Mary is definitely worth a visit! The burgers are very good – tasty and freshly prepared. Of particular note is the Caesar salad, which was not only very large but also extremely tasty. The location in Düsseldorf Mitte is ideal and offers a cozy atmosphere. The service was friendly and quick, which made the stay even more pleasant. The only point of criticism is the beer benches outside, which I personally found to be very uncomfortable. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

Having a perfectly medium fried burger with a delicious sauce and spicy cheese in front of you after <5 minutes is a great achievement, plus consistently friendly and fast staff 👍

The burgers were delicious and they are things you don't get anywhere else. We had a bacon burger with barbecue sauce and the Philadelphia cheeseburger (I think that's what it was called). This one is not made with a minced meat party, but with four pieces of a beef steak. These were medium rare, so easy to eat in a burger. However, it was beef and not tender like butter, so you still had to pull it with your teeth a little. Accordingly, the burger partially fell apart. The bacon burger was very tasty. A bit too much barbecue sauce around the edges, but that's a matter of taste. Otherwise we had potato dippers, a mixture of fries and chips. Were good. And other onion rings which were great. The service was nice and attentive. The ambience was quite nice, but it is quite dark in the building. We were there around 8 p.m., but in summer, the sun was still bright. That wasn't the problem. It's simply decorated in a dark way.

Very, very nice waiters who also try to accommodate allergies and the like and advise you. The food was also very tasty.

A big group visit to this small chain (another one in the City) with a specialism in burgers. Vast interesting choice albeit a bit pricey as sides are extra. Despite the choice they also had a couple of specials and it was from this I chose the K-Bob described as a Korean chicken burger which had spring onions and a hot sauce. Side of fries also came with a choice of sauces. There were many other meals chosen and they mainly seemed a hit for the weary crew. The Philly cheese steak burger for example. Service was OK. Bit straight at times. Imagine the place having a good atmosphere on a busy weekend evening for example.

Best burger shop in Düsseldorf. Authentic atmosphere, super friendly staff, good service, consistent quality without any preservatives. We eat here regularly and always enjoy it. I recommend everyone to come by there.

I went to Bob & Mary for the first time about eight years ago! We had the best burgers we had ever eaten! So I was so euphoric that I suggested the restaurant to my friends! How everyone was so happy! Unfortunately it was a standard burger that you can also get in other burger shops. Plus they were dry/too done! What was a real hit were the fries! Meeeega!! But given the selection of restaurants in Düsseldorf, I would probably go somewhere else next time! I missed the love from the kitchen!

Service really great and attentive. The ambience of this restaurant is also really nice. Unfortunately, the food is nothing exceptional. The burgers were all of a good standard. Not worse but not better either. I had a Philly Cheese. Actually, the preparation is almost relevant under this name. Unfortunately, I had to realize that the creation and implementation of Bob & Mary takes a lot of getting used to.

Well... the burgers weren't that special, so you can do that but you don't have to. Unfortunately we weren't impressed with the sauces either. Otherwise the fries were very tasty. We also had to wait almost 50 minutes for our food. However, the staff were very friendly.

I visited Bob& Mary last thursday and I gotta say the Burgers and sweet potato fries were top notch, especially the lime mayonnaise. The service was also something different but in a positive way. You always get checked up on, if everything is alright, if you need more etc. On top of that the waitresses were really positive and full of energy which made the whole atmosphere quite more exciting. The only thing I have to point out is that the plates were slightly empty when you ordered a burger + a pound of fries. I'd recommend changing the plates from really huge ones to smaller ones in this combination but besides that everything was superb!

Online reservation for the same day - no problem. Arrived, was assigned a table, took the order, and was served drinks relatively quickly. Then: 1:15 hours later the food came. After an hour the waitress came to the table and said there was a technical problem in the kitchen and the order had not been sent. While you're waiting, no questions asked if you'd like something else to drink, just an apology for taking so long. Instagram seemed to be more important to the operation. No response to the bill. The food was perfectly fine, but not necessarily the “best burger in Düsseldorf!”

The place looks fancier and is visually better than the food. I'm disappointed, I expected much more. Thin sweet potato fries, some too dark, side salad 0815, burger rather small and quite ordinary. There is room for improvement... Too expensive for that. Service was quick.

We have been regulars at Bob and Marie's Burgers for ten years and have always been happy with the food and service. However, our last visit to the Altstadt branch on May 9, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. was disappointing and unpleasant. After a friendly welcome we were assigned a seat. However, we noticed a quieter corner that seemed more appealing to us and I decided to ask another waitress who came towards us to change tables. I politely greeted her with "Hi", but received no response for a full five seconds, which I found to be very rude. When she finally answered, it was too late as I had already moved on to find the waitress who had originally seated us. She confirmed that a change would not be a problem, but mentioned that the table needed to be cleaned first. That was fine with us and we sat down. Shortly afterwards, the same waitress with the long Rasta hair, who had previously not responded, came over, wiped the table and, in a very unfriendly tone, remarked whether we were out of patience. Her behavior and words made us feel extremely uncomfortable. We then got up and went to the waitress who had originally served us and told her that we had decided to leave because the unfriendly manner of the other waitress made us feel uncomfortable. We left the location and instead went to another Bob and Mary's at Media Harbor where the service was excellent and friendly as usual. We are very upset about the incident and see it as our duty to report this incident. We hope to improve the quality of service in the Old Town branch.

I'm usually a fan of the Smashburger. But I was happy to make an exception for Bob & Mary. Very good selection of top quality burgers! Beef of strong quality and fried to medium medium as desired. If you like a strong cheese taste, I can warmly recommend the burger with blue cheese. The fries are very crispy and taste great. Nice and heavily salted, I liked it a lot!!

As Cheese Burger tasters, we said "We love cheese burger" here as we do everywhere else, but the bread was not fresh and was bad. They ask for the cooking level of the meat, we ate medium, it was really juicy and delicious. It was a nice meatball made from single-shot ground meat. We wanted classic potatoes on the side and it was very successful, we drank fritz-coke, it may be our new favorite cola, it is very fizzy and minerally :) We were also pleased with the atmosphere and the staff, the only problem is the bread :(

Burger was good. Waiting time is way too long! Unfortunately, the sauces were so diluted with water that they didn't stick properly to the fries. It's a shame because the fries are otherwise really good.

Very good burger restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf! I regularly visit Bob & Mary on Carlsplatz with friends. The quality of the food and the service are always excellent! Personally, I have already tried a few burgers and loved every single one! Due to the many combination and selection options, there is something for everyone and vegetarians/vegans also get their money's worth. The fries are always fresh and crispy and there is a large selection of sauces. I recommend the lime mayo and the truffle mayo! The restaurant is very busy on weekends, which is accompanied by a corresponding level of noise. I recommend making a table reservation to avoid long waiting times. In this restaurant, criticism is taken seriously! After a friend was not entirely satisfied with the taste of his burger (hardly seasoned), the feedback was not only passed on to the kitchen and an apology was made, but also a free, caffeinated drink was offered for the entire table. Since our food was still very tasty overall, we thought this was unnecessary. The bartender's reaction: "We want you to leave with a smile and a good feeling and come back the same way." There's nothing to add - clear recommendation and five stars!

I came with a recommendation but I was really disappointed. An hour waiting for a hamburger (due to congestion). So don't bring in more diners or overpower the kitchen. However, when she was at the checkout, I went over to make it easier for her to answer me. She insisted that I go back. I am the customer, she cannot give me orders. If you're someone who likes orders to be where they want, then you've come to the right place. I don't recommend it. Of course I didn't stay and left.

I have eaten here now twice. The food is amazing and would highly recommend it. The staff are very helpful and willing to explain what is on the menu. As a vegetarian I was skeptical that I would find food that I would like. However, everything can done with vegetarian patties but wait, there are 4 different patties you can have that are vegetarian. The fries are amazing and a one pound mix of the dippers, regular french fries and Sweet potato fries is a must (you might more than just one). The food is always cooked to perfection and I believe that the food is made to order but yet it comes out super fast. It is a bit expensive, however, both times that I have gone we have gotten what we paid for. Highly recommend it any good burger lovers regardless if you are Vegan, vegetarian or a meat eater. Whenever I have chance I will try to come back as the food is some of the best that I have had in Germany. P.S sadly I forgot to get photos before we ate the food both times.

We ate here today for my husband's birthday. A reservation is definitely recommended, although spontaneous visitors have also found a place at the counter. The service was very nice, attentive and quick. We had the avocado burger, the classic and the BBQ. Plus sweet potato and classic fries and potato dippers. Everything was really really good and plentiful. The meat was juicy, the fries were crispy and the sauces were also delicious! We also had Homemade Lemonade. Also delicious. I chose Bob & Mary over all the big chains because they use regional products wherever possible. I'll be happy to pay for that too. According to my boys, they had one of the best burgers ever today! So we'll definitely be back.

We went for a burger with the kids and we all really enjoyed it. I had a burger with goat cheese and cranberries. I can definitely recommend it. Absolutely delicious. Only the sweet and sour sauce wasn't tasty. Would go there again and again.

I chose the We love cheese burger and we ordered sweet potatoes and side salad. All were delicious. The sauces are nice. It is important to specify the degree of cooking of the meat. Lemonade is not made with normal water, it is made with mineral water. Still, it was beautiful. Going to the venue without a reservation may cause you to wait.

Great burgers and friendly service. We went there on Valentine’s day without a reservation - only managed to get a seat at the bar at first, but they then offered us a table that freed up due to a no-show. Burgers were very tasty. Fries were absolutely amazing!

Yesterday I went to Bob and Marys as part of a big birthday celebration. The food was very, very tasty, had the Sweet Goat Burger and fries with lime mayo. We were allowed to decorate in the restaurant for the birthday child and the evening was a complete success, not least because of the really nice staff in the restaurant. Thank you for all being so relaxed, that's not a given.
