Been there several times and always went home happy and full. The restaurant offers a great ambience, nice people and a relaxed atmosphere. The employees are quick and work conscientiously. The cleanliness both at the table and in the sanitary facilities is really excellent! I could be wrong but I mean burgers used to be a little bigger. However, for normal appetites, everyone gets their money's worth. Tastes good, feels good!

This is a really amazing place with interesting American road stop aesthetic with simple well priced and great food, sat outside in an absolutely huge seating area with canopy, this was beautifully lit as the sun was going down

As always, very nice. Haven't been here for a long time. That means for about 2 years, before that regularly since it opened. I felt like I was at home again. In this case in warm weather in the beer garden. Very attentive service, still a varied menu for American style, price-performance ratio absolutely ok these days.

It's been a long time since I've eaten such poor quality food. The fries were lukewarm and limp. The Chickenbuger patty tasted only slightly like chicken and had a consistency like it had been frozen in the deep fryer. Overall it just tasted cheap. When I went home, I felt like the roof of my mouth was lined with fryer grease. I go there every few years, unfortunately it's always the same. I think this time was really the last time. We paid in cash, I actually didn't want to leave a tip, but the waiter calculated it himself, so I was really speechless - even if it was only 50ct. Nobody asked how we liked it either. The price-performance ratio is therefore absolutely not right, just under five euros for limp fries, exclusive of mayo. There is no reason for me to eat there anymore. My family was also disappointed.

The “Roadstop” restaurant is a good place for relaxed evenings. The food is nothing special but still tasty. The service staff are always nice and courteous. The American ambience is interesting, but now a bit run down.

Road Stop, my first stop for delicious food. The prices for the food are more than fair. The drink prices are a bit steeper. In terms of taste, you can eat pretty much anything here. The ribs in particular are amazing. But you should reserve a table. The road stop is always full. Without a reservation, you may have to wait in front of the door, especially in the evenings.

Ordered vegan burgers with fries and onion rings and soft drinks outside. Burgers (just under €10 each) were very tasty, but not as thick and rich as their meat counterparts. Too bad. Fries delicious. Onion rings are fantastic, but a portion costs just under €9. Overall the price is not that cheap. Everything was served fresh and hot very quickly. Service friendly. Appealing outdoor area. However, tables with benches are quite large (for around 8 people), and since each party sat at a table alone, with the good weather there were soon groups who had to wait for free tables.

In my opinion, this shop deserves a lot of praise. Not that I show up at 11 p.m. because of my work and still get served. NO the people were so correct that "Tarek" I hope I spelled it correctly helped us immediately, gave us advice and ultimately served us well. FOOD top service top and the best max 15 minutes (not even) waiting time until you can bite into the bread We will be happy!

BUT.. this time we had the large portion of smoked chicken wings, according to the list there were supposed to be 18 pieces, but there were only 15 wings on the plate. We still had to pay the full price. So count your wings 😜 before you start eating.

Seating is uncomfortable and doesn't invite you to linger. Quality of the food is good. Prices are high.

Great food, fast service and a great outdoor area with a playground. Unfortunately, there is currently no service outside in summer. The staff is not very accommodating. Forgets drinks, talks his way out of orders, etc. Examples: I ordered a special and got a cola. It wasn't a problem so far, I just answered the question: "Coke?" Didn't respond immediately because I didn't order one. The waitress then spoke to me directly and firmly held it out to me. I then said: "Oh, OK, I ordered a special one but the Cola is ok too." The waitress then told me that the cola without zero or light is called Spezi and that's just how it is. Unnecessary.

We picked up food there earlier. So far everything was ok. Only the burger or the meat was old and probably from the lecture. So the burgers for pickup are not recommended.

Overall the visit was fine, service wasn't brilliant but OK. The food wasn't great, but it was good to eat and OK. The ambience is great and conveys the authentic atmosphere of an American restaurant better than similar places with a similar theme. Worth a visit.

Let's come to the positive first, The location is very nice and has atmosphere. The staff is friendly and quick. Unfortunately the food is below average. We had burgers, ribs and chicken wings. The burger was a disaster. It wasn't seasoned, lukewarm and the meat in the Aldi roll tasted like frozen meat. The fries were dry and boring, definitely from the frozen food chest. The wings were dry and characterless. The spare ribs had zero flavor and the marinade tasted like ketchup. Unfortunately a complete waste of money. Mediocre home-made food would be better here than the bland, characterless convenience food.

Actually very nice, but super loud even on a Monday evening. You can hardly have a conversation. In front of the actual interior there is a somewhat camping-like room, not nice to sit in, but much quieter and cooler...

Because my wife works in Essen, we always like to go to ROADSTOP, the rustic burger shop with an American atmosphere. So far we have never fallen into the Roadstop, the food is delicious and the portions are good. But you'll look in vain for vegan and low-calorie and healthy options 😝, but if you love hearty burgers, fries, onion rings, chicken wings, coleslaw (coleslaw), wraps, beer, various drinks and much more, and that too, the current situation The Roadstop Cafe is definitely the place to be with its reasonable but still moderate prices! 🤗 However: On beautiful summer evenings, holidays and some public holidays, you have to be patient! The road stop is often very well attended and quite full! Although the Roadstop offers space for an estimated 300-400 people (including outside) at large tables (including the corresponding noise level 🤨), it is sometimes packed! So inform in advance!

Starting with the ambience, through the service and the people themselves to the food on offer and the quality. Simply great. Although it's not that easy to get to by public transport, I want to go there every time I'm in the area. It's just fun and the food is bliss. Nice rustic location with plenty of parking spaces. Various seating options both indoors, outdoors and in the winter garden. As we all know, the best comes last, the spare ribs 😍 for me they are the best spare ribs in Essen! See you next time

Ambiance is great and practical - at least outdoors. Service is friendly. From ordering to eating took 50 minutes. It's bad that the so-called side orders can only be ordered in conjunction with a main menu. My meal consisted of a plant burger for €8.95. Plant patty was overly salty, too small and far too expensive. The fries for €5 extra were also salty and expensive. Overall we left hungry.
