The service staff were efficient and very friendly. The food was okay. The lasagna was too soft; the pasta sheets had completely dissolved in the minced meat. The lasagna was a bit bland. For my second dish, I had Sylt mussels. They were very tasty and really well prepared. Excellent!

I had the cuttlefish pasta in lobster broth with shrimp from the daily special. The food was simply top-notch. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend it. Since it was raining heavily, they even lent us an umbrella to get our car. Now that's what I call customer service.

Portions and price-performance are rather negative. The only really positive thing is the location/ambiance. It's very close to the coast, making it a beautiful spot. But the food has deteriorated considerably in recent years.

We stopped here after a long walk. The pizza was good, but unfortunately it lacked that certain something. It was tasty, okay. The service, however, was very pleasant and courteous.

The restaurant is highly recommended. The staff is very friendly. The tuna pizza, salami pizza, and pasta with tomato/minced meat sauce were all very tasty. The vitello tonnato could have been a bit more flavorful; it was a bit bland. The prices are perfectly reasonable.

We pre-ordered food there and picked it up. The team there was very friendly. The specified time slot was adhered to, and our pizza was delicious.

We ordered today and had a large salami pizza and a tortellini in a ham and cream sauce. Picking it up was super quick and easy, and the portions and the food were simply gigantic. I would definitely recommend Sorrento to anyone who's on vacation here. If you have the time, you can also sit on the beach promenade and enjoy a relaxing meal. This won't be the last time we're there 👍😁

We tried it twice on vacation, and the soups as starters were very good on both days. The main course, pasta with salmon, which also had spinach on top, was a disappointment, as we assumed they would use fresh spinach. Unfortunately, it didn't look or taste like it. My pizza was ruined by a spicy Sambaolek sauce, even though I only asked if they could bring me Tabasco. My macaroni al forno pasta was also only average, as the Bolognese sauce had a very pungent spice. It didn't taste like freshly cooked food to me either. The pasta was simply placed on top of this sauce, which also contained hardly any meat, without the two components being combined. The cheese was okay, but still too light for a baked dish. Attached are pictures where you can see some of this. The service started well both days; the soups arrived quickly and were nice and hot. However, it always took at least 30 minutes for the main course to arrive. Overall, the service was better than our food. We didn't like the ambiance either; it wasn't your typical Italian restaurant; it was very large, very loud, and the furniture was long past its best. Overall, we were expecting something different. A small plus point: it wasn't very expensive, but not good value for money considering the quality. I don't think we'll go here again. In our opinion, there are much better restaurants where you can really appreciate the freshness and love of cooking.

Depending on the day of the week and the time of day, it might be advisable to make a reservation. The place was already quite busy by 6 p.m.

Simply magnificent! At the Sorrento restaurant, you feel like you're visiting friends – the staff is warm and attentive, and you immediately feel like part of the family. The cuisine is authentic and full of passion. The spaghetti aglio e olio was particularly delicious – so good that I even treated myself to it as "dessert" 😂. You can't get a better taste of Italy on a plate. Add to that the relaxed, bright atmosphere right on the beach – a place where you feel completely at home and will definitely want to come back.

The setting and the food (pizza and pasta) are incredible. With top-notch service, it's the perfect place to enjoy an Italian meal in Germany. Although we didn't book in advance, the people there were able to find us a table for two in five minutes.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. We had reserved for four children and five adults, and there were no high chairs available. When we asked, we were told they would bring them as soon as they were available. In the end, we got some ourselves that were lying around but weren't being used. The food was carelessly placed in front of the children; it was far too hot for them; one of them burned his fingers right away. A complete no-go. The pizza was subpar. The toppings weren't visible due to the excessive cheese, and the taste was disappointing. The pasta was way overcooked. We also had a salad, but it wasn't anything special either. The service was attentive, but placing hot food directly in front of children, where they could burn themselves, is not a sign of good service. We won't be visiting this restaurant again.

The pizzas were generously topped and overall delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. One point deducted for the thin pizza base, as others have mentioned. I've had much better pizza elsewhere. But the price/performance ratio for the location was perfectly acceptable.

Anyone in Hafftkrug/Scharbeutz craving authentic Italian cuisine should definitely come here. The pizza is exceptionally crispy, with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. The pasta and appetizers are also a delight. Best of all: While you enjoy your dishes, the view over the Baltic Sea is simply breathtaking. The service is friendly, and the ambiance is cozy and maritime. The value for money is absolutely spot on here; you get top quality at fair prices. Bottom line: Sea views, fantastic food, and fair prices – my absolute recommendation!

We came here twice more after our last holiday in Scharbeutz. It was again fantastic, with delicious, high-quality food. The sea view was fantastic, too.

A great meal. We're currently on vacation here and returned from a bike ride yesterday. We stopped in straight away. The staff showed you around, the service was quick, and the food was delicious. We'd love to come back this week.

We ordered several pizzas in this restaurant, in the end we didn't like them, they were similar to those pizzas that are sold frozen in Edeka on sale. Only the price was three times more expensive.

Great pizza, staff needs improvement. Edit: Pizza isn't great at all. The pizza base is thin as paper, and there's way too much tomato sauce. And garlic so bad your eyes burned. Ordered a gourmet pizza with garlic? No way. Staff are terrible. For example, we saw them making fun of guests. Totally unacceptable. But in a vacation spot, you can afford that. No one would come anywhere else.

Today, on our last evening, the three of us spontaneously went to Sorrentos for dinner. It was busy, but we didn't have a reservation due to the spontaneity. We were kindly informed that there would be a wait without a reservation, but we were able to wait outside and order a drink while we were there. About 15 minutes later, we had a table outside; the atmosphere was pleasant and appropriate. The prices are absolutely reasonable in my opinion; the value for money is absolutely excellent. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive; from ordering to the food being on the table, it took less than 15 minutes, despite the full house. We had pork fillet and two tortellini; special requests were accommodated, and the portions were very generous. We would gladly come back next year 👌

Nice location and very polite staff. I found the starter and antipasti plate a bit expensive for the portion (17.50). Unfortunately, the fish in the first main course was cooked a bit too long, and some of the potatoes were undercooked. The second main course, on the other hand, was absolutely fantastic (beef ragu with tagliatelle and summer truffles). For a standard pizza or pasta dish, I think this restaurant is a very good choice, and the prices are reasonable. For more unusual dishes, you might want to try another restaurant. Nevertheless, the service was very good, and the place was very busy.

Update 2025: Unfortunately, the pizzas were only average in August 2025. Well-topped, but nothing special anymore. Thick crust and lots of cheese. Unfortunately, I can't pinpoint the exact reason for the decline in quality. Perhaps better-quality ingredients were used previously. The crust was also thinner and crispier. Ultimately, it's a matter of taste. The great location still makes it worth eating here. ---------------------------------------- The Sorrento pizza was very tasty and well-topped, the waiter was friendly and polite, and the location with a view of the sea is also beautiful. The prices are also a bit cheaper than at other pizzerias in Scharbeutz. What can't be changed is that the busy beach road is right next door, but I haven't seen a restaurant directly on the sea and away from roads in the area. :)

We were there for dinner – I'd like to specifically review the pizza, which was an absolute disaster. As other guests have described, it's an insult to Italian cuisine. The crust was soggy, and the pizza was completely overloaded with cheese. I can't comment on the other dishes – except for the salad. The portions here are huge, all the ingredients are fresh, and it could definitely be called a main course. The staff is very friendly, and all drinks and dishes are served quickly.

Ordered two pizzas margherita and Parma. Pizzas were mediocre the Parma came without all ingredients listed (no rucola). Taste was not great the ham seemed to be quite old. Margherita, Bruschetta were fine but not made the original way either. Service was good.

The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. You might want to make a reservation in advance, as it gets quite busy. I think the price is perfectly reasonable for the quality you get. You can pay by card here. I definitely recommend it.

The parking lot is almost exclusively occupied by the owner and his staff, so customers can walk in. The service was good. The pizza I ordered (to go) was not good. The pizza Parma for €14.90 was very small, the crust wasn't crispy, the pizza wasn't sliced ​​properly, the ham was extremely tough, and the arugula was carelessly wrapped in aluminum foil. Our criticism at the end was met with the simple response, "Do you need a receipt?"

We've eaten at Sorrento several times, and it's always been really good. All the pizzas and pasta dishes have been delicious. The staff has always been attentive and friendly. We'll continue to enjoy eating there whenever we're in Haffkrug.

I haven't felt so comfortable and welcome in a long time! Incredibly friendly, efficient staff, the atmosphere is great, the seating is varied, and the food was also excellent! A spacious, clean changing area for babies, a high chair, and excellent service made a visit with children an absolute highlight. Highly recommended! Even at the last minute, they still had a delicious pizza to go, made with fresh ingredients and lots of love.

Unfortunately, the pizzas were very dry and blandly seasoned. The service was professional, but there was no real sense of interest. Unfortunately, noisy motorcycles and sports cars often drive by on the street, which gets annoying after a while. Otherwise, a very nice location opposite the dunes.

Unfortunately, the delivery time was very long. The delivery person was kind enough to return the order. Unfortunately, the pasta had very little tomato sauce. And the pizza was missing some toppings. The food, in general, wasn't that tasty. A real shame.

What a disaster...that was the first and last visit! A table was booked for 7:30 p.m....of course, it wasn't available. After 15 minutes, a table was hastily prepared right by the window at the entrance. I call it the ignoring table because you just walk past it and neglect the guests. After another 20 minutes, the menu finally arrived...other guests who arrived after us already had their starters. The service staff was completely overwhelmed. Drinks and the kids' pizza arrived relatively quickly. After another 30 minutes, the waiter showed up at the table with the main course...the starter simply wasn't brought. Simply awful. The fish plates were blandly seasoned but still quite okay. But when the side salad contains whole slices of cucumber and half tomatoes, you quickly realize that the food isn't good. We were there, won't be back, and can't recommend the place. There are definitely better restaurants on the promenade.
