That was the worst restaurant I've ever been to, and I've never experienced such terrible service in my life. The blonde waitress was unfriendly and took my order with an annoyed, "Here you go." I didn't even want to order a doner kebab. When she brought the food, there wasn't a single friendly word, no "Enjoy your meal," no smile, nothing. The food clearly contained pre-made ingredients, which I really didn't expect at those prices. The waitress never came back to the table. I don't know if it was because I was sitting outside at a heated table; maybe it was too far for her, and she didn't feel like walking. In any case, she didn't even ask if everything was alright with the food or if we wanted anything else to drink. Simply abysmal service. The whole place was empty, maybe four guests in total. If the food was bad, I can't be held responsible, but the service was unacceptable. When someone goes to a restaurant, they are a guest, and you should never treat paying customers like that. In the end, I even had to get up myself to say I wanted to pay because no one else came to our table, even though the place was practically empty. The owner likes to respond to reviews with comments like, "I'll never understand this in 40 years in the restaurant business," but I'll never understand how anyone can tolerate this kind of behavior in 40 years. Everyone knows that in the restaurant industry, service is just as important as the food. So how can a restaurant owner allow something like this in their own establishment? I'm obviously not alone in my opinion, as evidenced by the many negative reviews, some of which are apparently being deleted. Instead of spending money to make criticism disappear, they should focus on improving themselves. Bad management means bad employees; maybe the boss will finally understand that after his "40 years in the restaurant business." No wonder almost every other place in Scharbeutz is packed, except this one.

Very friendly service staff, delicious pizza. I had the Pizza Diavolo. The ratio of crust to toppings and the subtle spiciness were perfect for me. I was there at the beginning of November; it's probably much busier in the summer.

The food, location and service were very pleasant; we had a lovely evening.

We were here on November 2nd, for the second time, and unfortunately, for the last. Around 2 pm, we sat outside and were served by a blonde woman – and it was truly the worst service we've ever experienced. We've never encountered such unfriendly service! The staff urgently needs better training, especially in customer service. The food was also just standard fare, nothing special. The calamari is a pre-packaged product from a bag, and they charge almost €25 for it – that's a joke! On top of that, they mixed in leftovers from another bag, as you can see in the picture. Overall, absolutely not recommended.

We ordered pumpkin soup, an antipasti platter, and cake, among other things. The soup tasted fine, but the consistency was a bit watery. The antipasti were okay overall, except the sun-dried tomatoes were extremely sour. The cake was very good, and I would definitely recommend it. The service was incredibly friendly.

Very friendly and attentive service. The cake and soup were excellent, and the direct view of the beach was lovely. A particular highlight were the heated tables and benches, which really helped warm up in the fall.

We spontaneously went to Capolino for dinner on the Baltic Sea and were absolutely thrilled! I had the zander, which was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared! For dessert, we had Oreo cheesecake, also a highlight and highly recommended. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick. Overall, a fantastic experience—we were very satisfied.

A must-visit! I'm on vacation nearby and today, quite by chance, I happened to be there for the first time. I'm absolutely thrilled. It's very inviting from the outside, and it's even more beautiful inside. Very stylish and cozy. The food is absolutely delicious, Italian cuisine at its finest. I had bruschetta and porcini mushroom ravioli, which were simply perfect. The friendly and professional service was amazing—you can't ask for more as a guest. I'll definitely be back!

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the drinks were the perfect size. The heated tables and benches were so comfortable. There was no long wait and it was the perfect choice in cold weather.

A very good Italian restaurant! The entire ambiance and atmosphere are perfect. The service is always extremely friendly. But the most important thing is the food in this restaurant, and it's simply amazing! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy another wonderful evening with you. Great ambiance, superb service, and incredibly delicious food. We waited less than 10 minutes for our food, and it was delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly. The view of the Baltic Sea, the restaurant's design, and the benches and tables equipped with a heating unit made the restaurant experience perfect. The cocktails are also highly recommended.

We've had dinner at Capolino several times and have always been impressed. The ambiance is very pleasant, the service is friendly, and special requests are always accommodated. We just popped in spontaneously because we were in the mood for coffee and cake. Honestly, we could have saved ourselves the trouble and driven 25 km home. First came the coffee...after 25 minutes, the cake arrived. As if to say, let's see if they'll order more coffee. The cake looked delicious but wasn't fresh. The apple pie was soggy and tasted like a plastic container, and the cheesecake—I can't even find the right words for it. Dried raspberries in the cheesecake. Sorry, that's not right. A strawberry as decoration. Service, let's just say...they tried hard, despite the gaping emptiness, but it really needs improvement. The ambiance right on the Baltic Sea is always beautiful and always deserves 5 stars. It was a shame for us that it was a rip-off by tourists, even though we're locals and enjoy sitting by the Baltic Sea.

Beautifully situated with a view of the Baltic Sea, the food served consistently looks good. Our server was very engaging and friendly, even cracking a joke. We only had a piece of cake and a latte macchiato each, but the price was still a bit of a letdown.

This restaurant thrives on being located in a vacation region. People are willing to pay anything and put on a brave face: It's just a vacation. So what? It doesn't matter. We wouldn't do it otherwise (etc.). That's why the restaurant rests on this fact. Plain gnocci with Gorgonzola costs €18.90! Just imagine. I can make it at home for €1.50. A salami pizza costs €15.90 - 80% of all baked pizzas taste better. The quality is simply below average at best. Common clichés like: Italian cuisine has a good reputation... That's just quality... You'll be full after eating... This restaurant thrives on that – and its location. The waitress likes to knock over a glass – it's drafty, and it's still packed. Because it's an Italian restaurant. People have to start thinking differently and punish things like Capolino. Go to Junge and get a roll, or to Rewe and bake yourself a pizza. You'll get more out of it than paying €120 for a family of four because all Italian food is expensive and everything has become expensive. That doesn't justify these exorbitant prices.

We were here last year and had a great time. This year we were placed at a table that had not been cleared and two waiters passed us and saw our situation 4 times. Waited 15 min and we left.

I would like to use this letter to describe my extremely negative experience at your restaurant. The visit was not only disappointing, but unacceptable in many ways. There were two of us and we ordered both appetizers and a main course. From the outset, we specifically requested that the dishes be served together. The appetizers were brought, but the main course didn't arrive, even after more than 50 minutes. Despite repeated inquiries, we were simply put off. It is particularly striking that no one asked for our drink orders during this time – not even after we actively requested the drinks menu. Such disregard for basic service standards is unacceptable for a restaurant. Finally, we were told the main course would be ready "in five minutes." In fact, we waited over an hour in total – with no result. It remains incomprehensible how a medium-rare steak could take longer than an hour to prepare. Despite no service being rendered, your employee demanded the sum of €111.20 upon leaving the restaurant. This situation not only borders on impudence, but also raises questions about the integrity of the establishment. When I ironically pointed out that she could eat the food herself, she was simply met with a laugh. This behavior demonstrates no respect for the guest. Considering the good location and attractive decor, the service we experienced was completely unprofessional and unacceptable in any way. A restaurant that is already so overwhelmed with only four tables occupied leaves the impression of fundamental management and staffing problems. Conclusion: Under the circumstances described, I cannot and will not recommend your restaurant under any circumstances. I strongly recommend a fundamental overhaul of your processes, especially your customer service, to prevent further damage to your reputation. With disappointed regards

Good evening everyone, in a nutshell. The ambiance looks nice, but the seating is a bit uncomfortable when you have to wait almost two hours for your food. It's freshly prepared and tasty. The pizza, which is described as spicy, is actually mild, but that's probably the right description. The staff could use some work.

Nice atmosphere, either by the water or slightly secluded with a view of the water. Not cheap. Unfortunately, the portions were small and the wait was long. However, the food was mediocre. Tourist spot style.

Unfortunately, we were more than disappointed. If one waiter hadn't been so eager, we would have left after two of the three main courses had been served. Not only did we have to wait forever for the third main course, and when we asked when it would be coming because we'd like to eat together, we were met with an annoyed eye roll… the starters were beyond audacious. Delicious, yes, but the portions were half the size of what they were in June, and a rip-off. The staff were nonsensical, and even when we said goodbye, only one employee responded to our words. Yes, Scharbeutz is more expensive… yes, you pay for it, but you can still expect friendliness and professional service. It's a shame.

The food was good, but some dishes weren't good value for money. We had a reservation for five people, but we were given a table set for four with an additional garden chair, even though larger tables were available.

I only ordered a takeaway pizza. I was told it would take longer. Okay, no problem. 10 minutes later, I got the pizza, but it was completely cold. I've never experienced anything like that before. Ice cold straight out of the oven? The sign outside said 10.80 for the simple version, but I paid 13.90 for it. For whatever reason. So, next time I'll buy my pizza from a kebab shop if the expensive restaurant can't manage it. It's so sad, honestly...

The three of us went there in the evening. We had made a reservation a few weeks in advance. The pizzas had very little topping, barely any cheese on them. The prices were extremely high. The ambiance was good, but the food, unfortunately, was not, especially not at this price.

Since the menu looked very appealing, we decided to end the day at this restaurant. The first thing we noticed was the very condescending attitude of the staff, as we are not of German descent. Although the tables around us were served, we weren't even given a glance or even brought the menu, even though there were hardly any customers.

We haven't been to Capolino in a long time because we're more into Timmendorf! Yesterday, however, we wanted to spend another nice evening there! Unfortunately, we were very disappointed! The ambiance was always very nice, and our server was very attentive and polite. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the food. The first pizza, which was meant to be shared as an appetizer, arrived cold. However, the problem was resolved, and a new (hot) one was delivered! The carpaccio was dry and not worth the 18 euros! Especially since it was completely covered by a huge, thick slab of Parmesan cheese! I don't know what that's all about. Main course: Tortellini alla Panna: Sauce as thin as water – they must have forgotten the cream, and it had no flavor at all. The tortellini themselves were ready-made products from a wholesaler. The sea bream fillet was very bland and probably frozen. Overall, disappointing. We won't be back - but it's a matter of taste - others might like it

We wanted to take a quick break and have a coffee. We hadn't been sitting there for a minute before the employees started talking loudly about the working conditions and their ailments on an endless loop. The atmosphere was very bad. Service was very slow and pushy because the employees were busy complaining about various things. Of course, they had their work cut out for them, but they made life difficult for themselves. The coffee was quite bitter. But that's a matter of taste. The drinks were quite expensive. All in all, I can't recommend it given the atmosphere and the service.

It was a late lunch, so only a few tables were occupied. Very friendly service, and the wait time for drinks and food was short. The pizza was okay.

Puro lounge Capolino highly recommended, great view of the sea, unfortunately the service was bad, the two gentlemen don't understand German, the tables next to us also had the wrong drinks and food. It's a shame...we'll be back anyway.

Food is good but is just too expensive

*Unfortunately disappointing – once and never again* We had to wait *1.5 hours* for our food, while guests who arrived after us were served much earlier. When we asked about the long wait, the waiter gave an unfriendly and evasive explanation. We were again ignored when paying – others were given priority even though they arrived later. Only after repeatedly asking and seeking the waiter were we finally able to pay. *Conclusion:* Poor service, long waits – we won't be back.

The service staff during our visit bordered on rudeness (July 31, 2025, 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.). When I returned from the restroom, both of them, standing in front of the door, asked me if I had a wristband to get back in. They seemed to find this amusing. I found it rude. We and other guests were addressed informally that evening, and silly jokes were made (e.g., as we walked past our table, they asked if we had everything left. As we left, they said, "There's nothing left to earn here."). The two of them seemed to be primarily impressed by themselves. This behavior of the service staff is unacceptable! The ambiance is very inviting, so we went there for a drink that evening. The location is truly beautiful. There's a great view of the sea. The food looks very good. The service staff, however, completely ruined the rest of the experience!

The quality of the food, the taste, and the loving presentation completely won us over. A special highlight is, of course, the stunning view of the sea from the lounge – it makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. We were so impressed that we went back for a second visit. Everything was just perfect on this visit, too: great food, friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We were completely satisfied. Unfortunately, on our third visit, there were minor technical difficulties in the kitchen, which, of course, can happen. However, the team responded very professionally, explained the situation to us in a friendly and honest manner, and acknowledged the inconvenience with a small glass of schnapps and a warm apology. Thanks to this open and courteous approach, it was absolutely no problem for us. The service at Capolino is consistently friendly, attentive, and warm. As a guest, you feel very comfortable and welcome. The food is consistently delicious, freshly prepared, and of high quality. The ambiance is also special – modern, stylish, and with the fantastic sea view, simply unique. This is the place to enjoy a relaxing evening to the fullest. Conclusion: We definitely recommend Capolino in Scharbeutz! If you value good food, friendly service, and a beautiful view, this is the place for you.

The lounge right by the dune is especially great! With views of the dunes and the Baltic Sea, chilled music, and stylish, modern decor, you'll definitely get that holiday feeling. Very friendly service and good Italian pizza. This place is even open on weekends in winter. Covered by large umbrellas and glass walls, but not completely enclosed, it still feels like you're sitting outside.

At first, everything was great. We ordered starters and a bottle of wine, and our main course. We got the wine and Bruschetta in 5 mins, so all was great. 30 Mins later, we were getting a bit hungry, so I moved the empty plate to the side, where the waiter picked it up. 20 Mins later, I waved at the waiter, he waved back. But... Nothing happened. No food. Tables around us filled, people had their meals, payed and left again. We were getting really hungry, so when a waiter served the table behind me with pizza, I asked him 'Are you going to bring our pizza too?'. He responded, angrily: 'Your pizza will arrive in a few minutes'. However, nothing happened... Only after my girlfriend got really angry at the waiter, he went to the kitchen for an inquiry. 'Technical error', he told us 😂. Apparently, they'd completely forgotten about us. Or lost our order, who knows. Anyway, what started as a great evening, ended not so great. The pizza we did get (finally) wasn't great either, I've had much, much better. They did offer apologies, but the fact remains: We did ask for our food multiple times, and they didn't act. Very poor service. We will not visit again, that much I can tell you.

The pizza tasted rather mediocre. The service was trying, but left a lot to be desired in terms of friendliness and attentiveness. The simple bench seating made the atmosphere feel more spartan than inviting. The only truly positive things I remember were the beautiful weather and the sharp knives.

Very expensive food, but you know that beforehand, but then it should be as good as the price, unfortunately it wasn't. A rump steak for almost €40 should be really good, but it wasn't. It's 100 times better at the Block House, and the portions are so small that a normal working person would never be able to fill their stomachs.

All in all, a pretty good restaurant. The surrounding area doesn't offer much variety, so if you want something other than fish and seafood, you can quickly get to Capolino. The location is nice; there's an outdoor area with a sea view and an indoor area. The service was difficult, as we had to chase after cutlery or a plate several times. It's a bit of a shame considering the prices (a Margarita pizza in the evening for just under €15). But overall, I can definitely recommend it :)

We stopped by spontaneously with four adults and four children. There were plenty of free seats, including outside. Unfortunately, we weren't accommodated, but were directed to the inside area (where we'd definitely have room). There, too, we were turned away. I'm always a fan of open communication, but this approach is absolutely abysmal.
