It's a shame about the really great food and the friendly service, but there were 6 of us and we asked for a table to eat and even though you sit outside in a glass box, smoking is tolerated like in the 80s. Unfortunately, that's a no-go for me in 2025, because it ruins the restaurant experience that I'm paying for...

The location directly on the Baltic Sea is very good, the food is still good as usual, but the service is unfortunately subpar. Despite making a reservation via the restaurant website, we didn't know anything about it. After we were seated we were left sitting for 25 minutes - before we were given a ticket. A waiter passed us several times, but was more interested in female tables. We won't be coming back.

The Capolino impresses across the board when it comes to food. The quality of the food is outstanding – fresh, tasteful and creatively prepared. No matter whether pasta, fish or antipasti: the kitchen delivers real moments of enjoyment that are definitely worth a visit. The ambience is also harmonious: stylish but not overloaded, with a beautiful location and a pleasant atmosphere. However, the service unfortunately clouds the overall picture a little. While one Iranian waiter was consistently friendly, attentive and warm - a real highlight in the service team - the rest of the staff seemed rather stressed and distant. Warmth and a real welcome feeling were largely absent. You also have to be prepared for long waiting times: a lot of time passed from taking a seat to ordering to serving the food. The restaurant was well attended, but the process seemed uncoordinated and the staff was visibly overwhelmed. Conclusion: If you are looking for good food, Capolino is definitely the right place - a real highlight on the Baltic Sea in terms of taste. However, if you value smooth service and an all-round harmonious restaurant experience, you need a little patience at this point. I hope the team gets a better handle on the processes - the potential for 5 stars is definitely there.

Capolino really impressed me! The food was absolutely great, and the view right on the dunes overlooking the Baltic Sea was simply unbeatable. Special praise goes to Daniel - he was very attentive, friendly and had the right sense of humor without ever seeming intrusive. You could tell that he put his heart into it and really focused on the guests. An all-round successful visit, highly recommended!

We spontaneously went to Capolino last night. We were warmly welcomed and were even allowed to choose a table outside. Service was attentive and the employees were friendly. Our food was extremely tasty. We will definitely come back.

An absolutely recommended restaurant! I was there twice, once in the early afternoon and once in the evening at rush hour. Both times the service was super structured, friendly and attentive. The food always came quickly and tasted excellent both times (Pizza Funghi, Bruschetta, Raviolini Al Funghi Porcini). What I particularly like is the location. You look directly at the Baltic Sea, but it's not windy or cold even in spring, because the wind is blocked by glass panes and the benches and tables are somehow heated from the inside - I have no idea how, but it's great! The roof can also be retracted when the weather is good so you can eat al fresco. The seating groups also have a small glass pane above the benches, so that you don't hear all the conversations from the neighboring tables and have a bit of privacy. You can also eat well at Capolino with children and not have to worry about disturbing other guests. Capolino is an all-round recommendation from me, I will definitely eat here again next spring!

Not recommended with small children! We wanted to have dinner there as a family on Thursday evening. When we walked into the restaurant on the side where the beach is, we asked the bartender behind the bar where we could sit. There was a funny look from the bartender and a stroppy answer about the stroller being a nuisance. My husband then said to him that we would put it outside right away and just wanted to ask for a place. The bartender's answer was that we shouldn't take the two tables with him - after all, we want to have some peace and quiet. I thought I wasn't hearing properly. How can you give such an answer? Then the restaurant would have to think about which staff it hires or put a sign outside that children (small children) are not welcome! Of course we left immediately and didn't eat or drink anything there. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The day before, a table for 4 people was reserved at the window and then placed in the last corner right next to the pizza production station. Even when I asked politely, no solution was offered. Customers see it differently, if you don't want to ruin your vacation day, you'd better go where guests are still appreciated.

Once again a very nice evening at Capolino. We always enjoy coming back, the service is great and table requests are also taken into account. The food is always fresh and of good quality. The daily recommendations are always a good choice, alongside the delicious dishes on the menu. A great surprise for us, the tables and seats are heated throughout the outdoor area. We have been to Capolino several times, but we have only ever sat inside. Now you can sit outside even in cooler temperatures. Simply brilliant! We always like to come back.

Ungenügend! Leider nicht weiter zu empfehlen! Trotz 4tägiger Tisch-Vorbestellung für 6Personen und Zusage, dann nach 20 minütiger Wartezeit an einen Katzentisch direkt an der Küche gesetzt worden. Laut und geruchsintensiv - so das man sich schlecht unterhalten konnte. Bedienung unkonzentriert bei der Erst-Bestellung; und auch bei der Getränke-Nachbestellung ohne Erfolg. DieTomatensuppen hatten einen neutralen Geschmack; wäre schön wenn sie nach Tomaten geschmeckt hätten. Essen war nicht besonders. Nudeln wurden als 'aldente/bissfest' offeriert - sie waren noch nicht fertig gekocht. Die Pizzen und Pinsa hatten einen sehr weichen Boden und waren nur spärlich belegt. Der Wein und das Bier waren okay; daher noch einen Punkt. Schade um den Abend

Very nice service and a dedicated chef who even asks for feedback himself. Can he have: Tip-top. Super delicious cake (in our case) delicious hot drinks. Definitely not the cheapest in terms of price, but the location and everything together are worth it. Special: heated seating and tables. Very cool, especially in March

Die Ravioli mit Steinpilzfüllung sind eine Gaumenfreude... Die Servicekräfte sehr aufmerksam und freundlich auch wenn mal Gäste unfreundlich und laut werden weil sie Ihren "reservierten Fensterplatz nicht erhalten" es gibt hier im Capoline genung schöne Plätze, ich hatte einen schönen :-)

Excellent service, really friendly and the design is lovely. The pizza antipasto was 08/10 was really tasty Pasta garnelen is my favorite dish and even though it was tomate sauce it was 09/10 really recommend to everyone! Tiramisy was 09/10 🔥one of the best we tried (taste was really fresh like it was made that moment or that day. Kind regards to Restaurant the cooks and staff 👋📍

Looking for a comfortable place to end the evening, we were lucky to find a spot even without a reservation. Service is very friendly and attentive. The location is also wonderful. Outside area has warm benches and tables (great idea) with a view of the sea. The bruschett and that Pizza Mare E Monti is recommended. We thought the choice was so good that we went there twice. The Capolino is located in Scharbeutz directly on the beach promenade and is very elegant, cozy and attractively furnished. Unfortunately, some of the pizzas were only lukewarm, carelessly topped and the dough was totally boring... two tiramisu ordered for dessert for 8.90 euros each were more like a very small buttercream slice with zero taste and definitely not worth the name, which we told the waiter also communicated. He replied to my mother-in-law in a very snippy tone: "Your homemade tiramisu certainly tastes better, doesn't it, ma'am?" Without words... really cheeky. If you look at the recessions, this kind of behavior occurs noticeably more often in Capolino. It's a shame...We definitely won't be coming back. Overall, a rather disappointing visit to the restaurant.

This evening we took a reserved place with 4 people. Friendly welcome and pleasant atmosphere. Ordered 2x Palado Copolino, 1x sea bream, 1x Quattro Staguioni pizza with artichokes. Without information, pizza topped with corn instead of artichokes! Sea bream has a rubbery consistency. 1x meat lukewarm. According to the menu, parmesan only after request. Different types of white wine. Refused drink as compensation. No response received after complaint. What should those affected think about it?

We were there today and had a wonderful view of the Baltic Sea with a latte macchiato, hot chocolate and desserts. The outdoor area is really great because the tables and benches are heated so you don't freeze. The service was also extremely friendly and quick. People regularly asked if there was anything else they needed or wanted to order. Definitely not our last visit!

The waiter was so unfriendly and condescending that we didn't even sit down. Just wanted to have a coffee when he said "there's a kebab shop over there, it might be better for you there". For a cozy and friendly get-together, you're better off anywhere than here.

Normally I rarely write reviews... but today I can't control myself. I can only congratulate everyone who has rated Das Capolino with 5 stars. Other staff were probably present. First of all, basically: the restaurant definitely looks very attractive and can even score points with a few tables outside, which can also be heated in colder weather. So far, really great! Unfortunately, in my opinion, the staff is underground. This referred to a younger female waitress. I can't judge the rest of the staff. I would like to judge the food. But unfortunately it didn't happen 🙈 What happened you ask yourself...!? So, since we arrived at the Baltic Sea relatively late, we decided to just go to the Capolino, as it was right next to our hotel. So we went into the restaurant and asked for a table inside. Unfortunately, according to the waitress, everything inside was reserved. She pointed us to the heated outdoor area, which we accepted because that area also looked great. And then… nothing happens at first…. Nothing at all. After 20 minutes I went in to try to order drinks and get menu cards so we could choose something to eat. Because we were no longer noticed by the waitress outside. When I went in, she came up to me and asked me what I wanted. (I guess I couldn't remember myself). I asked her if it was possible to get meal tickets and if so. Order drinks. She then handed me the cards, completely annoyed. In a way I then asked her what the problem was. I would wait outside for 20 minutes. She just reacted rudely. When I then said that it wasn't full, I was again rudely replied that she had a different opinion and that when she had time, she would come out. So sorry. The store isn't that big. There were still empty (yes, but reserved) tables inside and two tables outside were occupied. There was another waiter working on the right side. Dear Capolino Management. When I read some of the reviews here and take into account some of the stories I've heard from friends, then it might make sense to reconsider some of the personnel. Sound definitely makes the music in the restaurant industry and no matter how great a restaurant's location is, at some point a boomerang always comes back. Just a little tip. I was also at home in the catering industry for a long time. Because of this behavior today, I will definitely ignore this restaurant in the future! There are other restaurants in Scharbeutz where people are still happy when customers come in and where the service is still as it should be!

We really liked the location. The pizzas were very carelessly prepared and didn't taste fresh either. Since we are real tiramisu lovers, we were super disappointed that there was no more that evening and we really weren't there that late in the evening. There were also none of the only Italian chocolate drinks on the menu, which we found quite sad for an Italian restaurant. The service also left a lot to be desired. We had ordered a bottle of wine, which was never brought to the table. After waiting a little longer for it, we decided not to say anything more about it because we already had water and other drinks had. Serving a pizza on two plates cost us €2 extra…

This view, the food, the perfect, friendly and open-hearted service, everything is great. We have found our absolute favorite restaurant. Only recommended. We were guests in Scharbeutz with our Upper Franconian dog club over the long weekend at the beginning of October and felt incredibly comfortable on the Baltic Sea. We ate at Capolino on two evenings, and that wasn't a problem at all, even with the many dogs (with a reservation of course), the previous telephone contact was extremely friendly. Thank you very much for that! Four-legged friends have plenty of space under the tables or on the side. The food was very tasty, the atmosphere was great and the service was super friendly.

I was there for the third time because the atmosphere there is simply great, if you sit at the window on the terrace you have a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. Unfortunately the service is not good. Unfortunately, that was always the case on my three visits, you get the feeling that they don't actually want you there. Despite making an online reservation and asking by phone, we weren't in the book. Then we waited 20 minutes until our food/drink order was taken. We waited about 45 minutes for the 3 pizzas. The table next door was less lucky, 1 1/2 hours waiting and cold food. That's just too long! Pizza tastes very good there.

Ordered food at short notice. Ready for pickup at the agreed time. The temperature of the food was still great after 5 minutes of driving - pasta al dente! Salmon and bolo were super tasty, including separately packaged freshly shaved parmesan and fresh bread. Super tasty and worth the price too!

Beautifully decorated Italian restaurant with sea views. The service was very friendly, the cake was good. In terms of price, however, it is in the upper category. For a 2 piece of cake and 2 small coffees €21.30. For comparison, we ate 2 medium coffees, 1 latte and 2 homemade cakes for €17.30 elsewhere.

Our absolute recommendation when staying in Scharbeutz. We've eaten there several times and have absolutely nothing to complain about. We were there with our visitors from Australia, who were also very enthusiastic. We were very surprised that we were greeted very personally on our third visit. On our last evening we received a drink as requested from “our” very friendly waiter as a farewell gift. Thank you very much for these great evenings in a very nice atmosphere, outside with a seat/table/and underfloor heating….sensational!!!

Three months later, we unfortunately have to change our rating. Unfortunately, the new pizza maker isn't that good at it (soggy dough, lots of cheese and not much toppings), and the Tonno salad doesn't match the price. It's a shame, 3 months ago we gave it 5 stars, now it's only suitable for 3 stars. Old review: Very nice, modern atmosphere. The pizza dough is excellent, thin and great taste. The pasta dish tasted perfectly. We'll be back!

Popped in for “lunch”…! Delighted with this, two more times for dinner. Thank you for bringing such simple dishes to perfection! Not only the ambience but also the selection of “plates” is carefully chosen! The food is of very good quality, the homemade pasta is excellent, the pizza is a poem! The exception is the prices for the wines (a bit too expensive), but they go very well with the food. The service is also worth highlighting! Very caring about the guest and knowledgeable about the dishes they bring to the guest! Thank you for that!!!!
