Ristorante Pizzeria "Italia" in Göttingen

This used to be THE pizzeria in Göttingen. Nothing was left over. The pizza dough was almost identical to Dr. Oetker Ristorante's. The ingredients (arugula and Parma ham) were dry and wilted. Uncaring service! Barely any communication. What was completely missing: Did you enjoy it? Were you satisfied? "No, not at all!"

The food tastes very good. Pasta with cream sauce is also tasty, but it could use a bit less cream and more pasta!

Nice contact on the phone. The food came super quickly and was delicious. We didn't finish everything, but it was packed up. Great.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Pizzeria Italia in Göttingen/Grone and was warmly welcomed by the Marin family. As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt the warm atmosphere and the friendly flair, which immediately impressed me. The main motto of the pizzeria is: "Times change, pizza remains the same." And I can only confirm that. The dishes are prepared with a lot of love and care and you can taste it in every single bite. I would particularly like to recommend the pasta and pizza specialties, which are the absolute highlight. During my visit I chose the marinara pizza with tuna and I absolutely loved it. The crispy dough, the generous toppings and the perfect taste made the pizza a real pleasure. My sister also chose a mixed starter platter, which she also found extremely tasty. It's nice to see how much effort goes into each dish. Pizzeria Italia works every day to make the best even better and to meet the expectations of its guests. This is reflected in both the quality of the food and the excellent service. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and always available to answer questions or make recommendations. The service is quick and efficient without losing the personal touch. For special occasions, meetings with family and friends or private celebrations, Pizzeria Italia also offers a take-out service for pickup. This is a fantastic option to enjoy delicious food outside of the restaurant. A small disadvantage is that there is no outside area. However, the restaurant has large windows that can be opened, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Finally, I can highly recommend Pizzeria Italia. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and the staff is extremely accommodating. It is truly a gem in Grone as it is the only restaurant open from lunch to evening. Pizzeria Italia is definitely worth a visit to be seduced by Italian cuisine.

Raw pizza dough. Canned peppers. I wouldn't have thought you could mess up food so much. And before another comment comes out saying we ate everything. NO, we didn't.

Very nice Italian restaurant with a good selection of food. Price/performance is right I would recommend reserving a table. Friendly attentive staff. There were 8 of us with different meals, everyone was more than satisfied and full. What more could you want? We'll be back

We were passing through and spontaneously looked for something here and were tempted by the reviews to eat here. The employees aren't necessarily the most talkative and don't look at you directly. An employee stuck his finger in his mouth?! Now we come to the more exciting part. We had bruschetta beforehand, which was perfectly fine. The main course was pasta for my wife and pizza marinara (tuna & onion) for me. The restaurant was only half full and so we got our food quickly. When I took two bites of my pizza, I noticed that the dough wasn't cooked yet. When we pointed this out, the employee came and asked me if the dough wasn't cooked through, as if this had happened before (?)! I was a little annoyed that I had to wait 15 minutes for the pizza and my wife was almost finished eating. When I saw a new pizza being prepared, I understood the wait. Even on the second attempt: the dough wasn't done yet, so I called the employee again. Then I got the pizza after 5 minutes, the toppings toasted well. Now you can guess what happened next: the dough was still raw on the third attempt... Which is why we got up completely horrified and paid. As compensation, the bruschetta and drinks were taken off the bill and of course the pizza... I don't know what the good comments are about. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. In my opinion, an Italian shop where you can't get real pizza baked shouldn't be able to call itself Italian. I can completely accept a failed attempt, but if it doesn't work on the third attempt. Is there something wrong here...

I've eaten a lot of pizzas in many cities, but this was definitely nothing. The restaurant itself is cozy and has a typically Italian feel. The pizza then not at all. No taste, dry like a cookie. I actually had the feeling that I had a frozen pizza in front of me. Very sad. So once and unfortunately never again.

...I was nearby by chance when I and my son went here for dinner - a very good choice: we were given a very friendly welcome even without a reservation and ate and drank very well and, in my opinion, very cheaply and richly - really very good, down-to-earth and inexpensive, I really liked it, thank you very much!

In addition to the delicious food and friendly host, the only thing that was annoying was the older trio (they ate mussels or something), who gesticulated and complained angrily every time the children made a "sound" at our table and at the table next door. We actually got to know GÖ as child-friendly 👍

1) First of all, the waiter was extremely aggressive and rude! 2) Pizzas are incredibly bad, even the cheapest frozen pizzas from the supermarket can be tastier! 3) I was very surprised that it got 4.2 points on Google! I don't want to write anything more, don't believe the score here.

Italians that have been around FOREVER. It used to be pretty good, but there isn't much left of it. The food was fine, but the taste was not an experience. Service rather lackluster. There is no sign of Italian hospitality. There are better alternatives where you are happy to pay a little more.

Were in transit, the waitress behaved strangely towards us. Pizza dough was mine In my opinion not real pizza dough. Moderate surface. Strange filling in calzone, my friend has never had it before. All in all, relatively tasteless. You got full.

Old-established Italian in the town center. After 25 years there I got the green salad again. It was like traveling back in time.

Service seemed listless, the lady had the corners of her mouth down - she hardly spoke at all, we didn't really feel welcome as soon as we entered the restaurant - a shame... Pizza was very dry - more like cookie dough with poor quality toppings and very far from the pizza you can see on the homepage! A pity! The lamps with LED light bulbs hang too high so that you are blinded - simply too bright and uncomfortable. A pity!

We have been eating at Italia for decades and everything is, as always, very good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food always tastes just as good 👍🏻 and the price is unbeatable.

Here I would start friendly. The menu has a good range of Italian dishes, pastas and pizzas. The pizzas come in two different sizes which is very pleasant. In my opinion, the prices are still surprisingly moderate, in contrast to many other places. The staff is attentive and quick. My pizza Diavolo with special requests arrived quickly and tasted very good. The pepperoni sausage had a good spiciness. There are plenty of free parking spaces in front of the restaurant.

The food was a disaster. It wasn't fully baked, the dough was rubbery and simply inedible. We were looking forward to a great evening with delicious food, unfortunately it was a disappointment. A pity.

Rustic Italian with no frills. Food is very tasty. Prices are still down to earth. Staff very friendly, but could be a little more attentive. Especially if the glasses have been empty for some time, the waitress should ask and not wait until the guest responds. Otherwise recommended if you don't expect a lot of fuss

Wir waren mit 4 Personen am Do. 11.01. dort. Haben einen guten Platz bekommen nur leider hatte der Chef wohl einen schlechten Tag. Wir wurden nicht mal nach Getränken gefragt u. die Speisekarte bekamen wir erst als eine Bedienung sie nach ca. ¼ Std. brachte. Der Chef hielt es für wichtiger sich mit anderen Gästen zu unterhalten. Nach der Bestellung unserer Pizzen hatte ich dann das Pech, dass meine Pizza von unten schwarz angebrannt war(nicht zum ersten Mal)...also ungenießbar. Ich habe zwar nach der Reklamation eine neue Pizza erhalten die dann aber leider nicht richtig ausgebacken war. Fazit: wir werden uns in Zukunft ein anderes ital. Restaurant suchen. Schade...

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist sehr gut und wird frisch zubereitet. Wir essen am liebsten die Pizza á la Chef wegen der Schärfe(echte Italienische Peperoni Wurst).

Man sollte sich darauf konzentrieren dem Gast Italien auf den Teller zu bringen. So manch Pizzaservice ist da besser aufgestellt. Kulinarisch war das weit von Italien entfernt. Ambiente und Service lassen auch zu Wünschen übrig.

Wer Italienische Küche mag, ist hir richtig. Gutes Essen und normale Preise ! Gerne wieder...

So gut 👍 wie seit langem nicht mehr. Moderate Preise, dafür aber gute Qualität.

Ruhige Location mit Parkplätzen vor der Türe und an der Straße. Leckeres Essen, gute Preise und sehr freundliche Bewirtung. Viel Platz und angenehm zum Unterhalten. Zu Empfehlen.

Kleines italienisches Restaurant mit leckerem Essen wo man auch auf Sonderwünsche der Gäste eingeht .

Außer, dass der Salat Maria Rita der Beste überhaupt ist, sind die Pizzen und Pasta super. Und meine Bestellung von 13 Pizzen ging ruckzuck und sie waren alle klasse.

Ein schönes klassisches Restaurant das sich liebevoll präsentiert und ist eine wirklich schöne Abwechslung zu den ganzen Restaurantketten und den unzähligen Dönerläden. Außerdem gibt's hier die beste Calzone.

Das ist alles weit weg vom Edel-Italiener, aber ehrliches Essen, das immer wieder überraschend zügig serviert wird.

Sehr zu empfehlen, die Zeit ist etwas steht geblieben im Lokal. Aber das Essen und der Service hervorragend und darauf kommt es an!!!

Gehe schon seit meiner Kindheit hin, finde keine bessere calzone als hier.

Typisch italienische Speisen. Wir können Caprese, Ricotta-Spinat-Ravioli und Gnocchi mit Gorgonzolasoße empfehlen. Eine Caprese m. Pizzabrot war für 2 Peronen als Vorspeise reichlich. Die beiden Pastagerichte waren auch üppig und haben gut geschmeckt. Sehr netter Service. Auch unser Hund war willkommen

Wir gehen öfters in diese Pizzeria, immer höflich, gute Pizzen, Preise okay, kann ich nur empfehlen.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönen Abend in der Pizzeria Italia , das Essen war sehr schnell da alles reichlich belegt und auch sehr warm , geschmackvoll eine 1+ , die Bedingung war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Für 2 Personen mit Essen und Getränken haben wir 33 € bezahlt . Alles in allem ein kleiner Geheimtipp in Grone 🤩🤩🤩

Nice place but I was a little disappointed regarding the food. Although I´m always sceptical about negative reviews I have to admit that the remarks about the pizza bottom are valid.

Still the best pizza for at least 30 years

Immer wenn ich hier war, erinnere ich mich an Zeiten, ( vor gut 30 Jahren) mit meinen Kindern. Nur gute Erfahrungen, essen immer noch top. Komme immer gern wieder.

Ich esse hier schon seit beinahe 40 Jahren und liebe die Kontinuität der Küche. Man bekommet die Speisen immer so wie man sie kennt. Und der Italienische Salat ist schlicht aber ergreifend. Nix Eisbergsalat!

Ein Schlichtes Restaurant die Bedienung war nett und höflich auch als ich Kritik am essen Äußerte. Wenn man davon spricht das Essen zumindest meine Pizza war bis auf zwei Kleinigkeiten gut und geschmacklich weitestgehend super. Hätte ich nichts zu mäkeln gehabt wären 4 Sterne locker drin.
