Perfect food, upscale atmosphere

Was on October 30th. with my husband at Da Sergio. It was a beautiful evening. The food was delicious except for the fact that my monkfish was completely overcooked. I told the waitress that it was a great dish, except for my fish. Unfortunately no one was interested. Therefore only 3 stars.

Hectic pace, time pressure and little appreciation for the guest expressed in particular through the behavior of the boss. Check-in like at a train station.

At 9:30 p.m. we had a seat and ate pizza, lasagna and tiramisu. Reception and service were very good and attentive. Lasagna and tiramisu were very tasty, 5 stars so far. The Quattro Stagioni pizza was topped with too much cheese and wasn't fully baked. This can be crispier and tastier. For this reason I deduct a point. Otherwise 5 stars. Thank you

Very attentive staff, really delicious food that came super quickly. We cannot understand the rating of “only” 4.3 stars. We would be happy to come back at any time, an absolute highlight!

The waiter was slightly overwhelmed and tried to blame his mistake on the guests. The food was better, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right.

Ate very well. Fresh sole. Super tasty fried potatoes. Delicious crème brulee. Good wine selection. Unfortunately poor champagne selection😡

Despite having celiac disease, we were able to eat there without any problems. The service was great, the pizzas were delicious and everything was nice and clean with no crumbs on the tables.

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend in diesem Restaurant. Vom exzellenten Service bis hin zum qualitativ gute Essen war alles einfach perfekt. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm, und wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Besonders die sorgfältige Zubereitung der Gerichte hat uns beeindruckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können diesen Ort wärmstens empfehlen!

We were looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. The pizza I ordered came out wrong, which isn't a bad thing. But then a short time later the same pizza came again and the toppings I didn't order were simply removed (there were still leftovers on the pizza) and the pizza was cold. The other pizza was still almost raw. Unfortunately, both pizzas were still charged in full when payment was made. A concession would have been desirable.

I visited this restaurant with a few friends. We spent a very nice evening here together and had a lot of fun. The waiter was very friendly and gave us some very good recommendations regarding the starters and the main course. So I decided on the Dry Aged Tomahawk Steak with a friend. As a small starter we had bruschetta. To drink there was a Primitivo di Manduria, a very tasty Italian red wine. As we finished our appetizers, our tomahawk steak was served at the table. What a wonderful moment. The meat was very tasty and very tender. Our friends also highly praised the food and its taste. In the end it was a very nice and harmonious evening that we all obviously had a lot of fun with.

Ordered food on site after a long day at the beach Very friendly reception with information about a 20 minute waiting time. After less than 20 minutes we received the food (2 × lasagne, tuna pizza and spaghetti aioli). The food was very tasty and is highly recommended. The welcome and service were also very friendly.

The food was great, but the service was very poor. After the waiter changed, no request for a second drink or dessert. No waiter even came to make himself known. Grumpy service afterwards, even though it wasn't full. You convey your point of view - I don't care

My companion had rump steak with “special fries” that looked very good, and it was. Unfortunately I ordered pizza. Looked good, but turned into a squishy rubber disc in no time, terrible. Since it wasn't edible, I ordered spaghetti with oil and garlic. They were aldente and also nicely seasoned. Afterwards grappa and espresso, neither of which is recommended. The grappa was quite a booze and the espresso was sour like a lemon.

Delicious Italian dishes that taste like they were skillfully “homemade”. However, the plate wasn't too full. A reservation is absolutely necessary.

Ambiance is ok, but the friendliness of the service is not appropriate for the high prices. Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite to our taste either. My wife was happy, but my daughter and I were disappointed. Six years later, the service is still not particularly friendly. We liked the food better.

Gigi is a remarkably competent service person. Ivo supports her well. Overall we received a good quality meal. Meat, fish, pasta... everything was very tasty, fried to perfection, delicious jus. Drinks good selection, white wine cold. Price level appropriate but not overpriced. Happy to recommend.

Bad service, unfriendly staff I've never experienced anything like that, there were three of us but it wasn't possible for us to get our food together. We had to ask several times for the third dish and there are better pizzerias in terms of taste. We definitely won't be coming back then we'd rather have a fish sandwich the hand

Als Einstieg in den Inselurlaub o.k. Wir hatten Pasta mit Gambas für meine Tochter, die sehr zufriedne war, der Grillteller war o.k, aber die Pommes als Beilage total versalzen. Als ich dies dem Service gegenüber monierte, wurde einfach darüber hinweg gegangen. Nach der Bestellung der Getränke dauerte es 15 min für eine Flasche Wasser und eine Fanta, um an den Tisch zu gelangen.

Wir sind 'Foodies', also kochen und essen gern, und wollten bei einem Italiener zu Abend essen. In das Lokal kamen wir überhaupt nicht, da keine Reservierung. Wir wurden sehr arrogant auf die Tische draußen verwiesen, 'falls wir etwas fänden'. Nun ja. Die Karte las sich vielversprechend. Die Bedienung ließ ewig auf sich warten. Wir bestellten Schweinefilets in Gorgonzola Sauce und die mediterranen Ravioli, Vorspeise Salat. Der Salat war gut, doch so, wie auch in anderen Restaurants erhältlich. Die Filets hatten einen leichten Gout, somit tauschten wir die Gerichte. Meinem Mann machte das nichts aus. Das Essen kam lieblos auf den Teller 'geklatscht' an, keine Dekoration, nichts. Die Ravioli waren nicht ausreichend und keine Gaumenfreude, man konnte den Inhalt nicht identifizieren. Wir bestellten noch Bruschetta anschließend zum Sattwerden. Nachdem wir darauf mehr als eine halbe Stunde warteten, sagten wir, wir würden sie einfach mitnehmen. Daraufhin kamen sie sofort mit der Rechnung. Beim Auspacken später: Matschig, das Brot war nicht geröstet. Viele Tomatenstückchen, kein Pesto. Eine Riesenenttäuschung, und die Preise der Gerichte waren in keiner Weise gerechtfertigt. Da dürfen sich gern andere an ihrem Essen erfreuen. Wir nicht.

The food is very good. The service, especially at the reservation stage, seems unfriendly and annoyed and treats the guest as a supplicant. You can tell it's coming to the end of the season.

Wir waren heute Abend zu dritt in dem Restaurant. Wir wurden an der Tür abgeholt und uns wurde ein Tisch zugewiesen mit der klaren Aufforderung: Den Tisch brauchen wir aber um 20.15 Uhr wieder! War schon mal ein guter Beginn. Zu Essen gab es für uns drei verschiedene Gerichte: Lasagne - Portion eher zu klein, aber sonst lecker Dorade Royal gegrillt - Mit Spaghetti; sehr gut, große Portion und wirklich sehr lecker. Preis war ortsüblich angemessen. Pizza Annina - eine Pizza, die eigentlich Hähnchenstücke, getrocknete Tomaten und Avocado als Belag haben sollte. Die Pizza, die kommentarlos auf den Tisch gestellt wurde, hatte nicht ein einziges Stück Avocado. Nachdem wir danach gefragt haben, wurde uns gesagt, dass leider keine Avocado mehr da wäre. Man hatte es aber nicht für nötig gehalten, uns vorher darüber zu informieren… Es wurde auch keine Preisreduzierung oder ein anderer Ausgleich angeboten. Kein guter Service. Bedient wurden wir überhaupt nur, wenn wir sehr proaktiv eine Bedienung angesprochen haben. Von alleine ging da leider nichts. Als wir gegangen sind und uns von der Bedienung verabschiedet haben, gab es keine Reaktion. wir wurden da eher ignoriert. Wir hatten die ganze Zeit den Eindruck, dass in dem Lokal nur gehobenes Klientel verkehrt und wir als „einfache Gäste“ dort nicht willkommen waren. Von daher gibt es leider nur 2 Punkte…

The food is very good and tasty (you should be very hungry for the pizza) and the service is very nice and accommodating. The food came very close. Price-performance ratio is okay, but you should definitely reserve a table in advance

We ordered antipasti and pizzas. The starter came relatively quickly... But then nothing else happened for a long time. A colleague then asked, puzzled, what was still missing, but again nothing happened for a long time. They had simply forgotten it and pointed out that we had to wait longer because of groups. But everyone else who came after us had already had their main course... It would have been enough to simply admit that they had forgotten their order. The pizzas finally arrived, but the quality was only average. Pizza didn't have artichoke hearts but also the entire inedible outer skin. When we wanted to pay, another waiter with glasses came and noticed that the amount was too high. As he walked away, he called out the correct amount in an incomprehensible and arrogant manner. Unbelievable, when he came back and we asked for the amount, he rudely said that he had already said that. Not recommended, arrogance and decadence at the same time. There are much better Italian places with reasonable service and no arrogance, where you are also treated correctly, sorry.

I was at "Da Sergio" for the first (and probably last) time. My wife has been to Norderney several times and said in advance that we absolutely had to go there because it was the "in-Italian". We had reserved beforehand, but realized that we wouldn't make it on time and apologized over the phone that we would be a little late. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted rather reproachfully and escorted to our place by the manager. Since we were sitting a little offside, my wife asked an employee if she could change seats. Of course, this had to be clarified with the boss and in a very patronizing manner she said “okaaaaay”. So the “romantic and relaxed dinner” suffered from negative impressions and a strange atmosphere right from the start. You didn't really feel welcome but rather tolerated... The gentleman who served us was very friendly and the food was nicely prepared and tasty. The grated Parmesan cheese my wife requested for the pasta dish was later added to the bill as €2.50. After paying the bill, we stood up while the “boss” was one table away. In my opinion, attentive people, who care about the guests and whose visit you should normally be happy about, notice when people leave the restaurant and you say goodbye and thank them for the visit, but that didn't happen either. Not a reaction to a "goodbye" - but perhaps you already knew that this certainly wouldn't happen. The gentleman at the checkout just before the exit door also reacted the same way as the boss: without words. Maybe the same applies here: "As is the Lord, so is the G'scherr"... hopefully the nice waiter who served us won't be the only exception. I would wish this to the mostly enthusiastic guests who may have been treated differently or who didn't notice it that much. Conclusion: great food and a great reputation based on the service...

Das essen soll scheinbar sehr gut sein dort, aber nachdem wir dreimal da waren und eine Stunde auf nur ein Glas Prosecco gewartet haben. Da es unser letzter Abend war, wollten wir eine schöne Flasche Wein von Grünhaus bestellen und Vorspeisen und Hauptgänge essen was die Karte geboten hat, aber niemand kam um unsere Bestellung auf zunehmen, vielleicht irgendwann, aber die Frage war dann eben wann. Also haben wir 8€ auf dem Tisch geschmissen und sind gegangen. Wir kennen uns in der Welt cuisine aus , aber wenn der Service nicht dazu passt verstehen wir die Welt nicht mehr. Service eine absolute Katastrophe und eine Unfreundlichkeit , unglaublich. Frage warum eine Restaurant betreiben. Ich glaube der / die Chef:in hat den falschen Beruf gewählt. The service and the food are simply great.

It could have been 5 points because the food was great and because we were served well by the waiter. What just didn't fit was what is actually a must and doesn't cost any money at all: Friendliness at reception. Unfortunately, the allocation of the reserved seats only seems to be reserved for a single lady (by her habitus, the boss). She busied herself with other things within sight, let us wait on the stairs like supplicants for a few minutes and gave us the feeling that we were allowed to eat in this shop. With this kind of welcoming culture, our anticipation quickly disappeared. Because we weren't in the mood, we skipped the appetizer and the bottle of wine. It's actually a shame, because the main course was really great (like on our previous visits).

5 Punkte hätten es sein können, weil das Essen mega war und weil wir auch vom Kellner gut bedient wurden. Was einfach nicht gepasst hat, war das, was eigentlich ein Muss ist und überhaupt kein Geld kostet: Die Freundlichkeit beim Empfang. Die Platzzuweisung scheint leider nur einer einzelnen Dame vorbehalten zu sein (von ihrem Habitus, die Chefin). Die ließ uns auf der Treppe ein paar Minuten wie Bittsteller warten und vermittelte uns das Gefühl, in diesem Laden essen zu DÜRFEN. Bei dieser Art von Willkommenskultur war unsere Vorfreude schnell dahin. Mangels Stimmung haben wir dann auf die Vorspeise und die Flasche Wein verzichtet. Eigentlich schade, denn die Hauptspeise war wirklich (wie schon bei unseren Besuchen zuvor) mega.

We spontaneously decided to visit the Restaurant da Sergio on Norderney. We were positioned at an exciting “regulars’ table” and were able to enjoy the evening with like-minded people. The staff is very motivated and has solid knowledge of and around Italian cuisine. Daily recommendations were presented and ordered directly. Quality and cuisine ensure a very good experience of food and drinks. Price/performance is excellent and tempts you to come back. Thanks

Nie wieder! Waren gestern im Da Sergio Essen. Die Speisen waren vollkommen in Ordnung. Das Negative jedoch ist, dass man sich als Gast nicht gut aufgehoben fühlt. Die Freundlichkeit der Angestellten lässt stark zu wünschen übrig. Wir waren mit Tochter und Enkelin im Da Sergio. Nach freundlicher Frage unserer Tochter wo sie den Buggy abstellen kann wurde sie von der Geschäftsführerin regelrecht unfreundlich behandelt. Sogar ein Mitarbeiter hat leise gesagt, daß man so nicht mit Gästen umgehen kann. Beim Bezahlen haben wir dennoch ein Trinkgeld gegen..man hat sich nicht einmal bedankt. Wirklich schade...nie wieder da Sergio Norderney

Good Italian in the upper class. The service was unobtrusive but appropriate. The portions were balanced, not too much but not too little either. The food is lovingly arranged and tasty. My recommendation to end the meal with a well-kept grappa. I'll definitely come back.

Wir haben eine Vorspeise und Pasta gegessen. Alles sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich. Da das Lokal stark frequentiert ist, lohnt sich für Stoßzeiten eine Reservierung. Vor einem Jahr waren wir auch mit einer größeren Gruppe dort- u. a. mit einem dementen älteren Herrn. Trotz seiner Probleme wurde er zuvorkommend und verständnisvoll behandelt. Hatten Fisch, Pasta und Fleischgerichte- alle waren zufrieden. Die Preise liegen, wie fast überall auf Norderney, im höheren Preissegment, aber immer noch angemessen, wenn man die Transportketten für die Insellage berücksichtigt.

The tuna trio was great and was “addictive” for us (fresh, not “fishy”). Fillet of veal and fine fish fillet were also very tasty and fried to perfection, as were the side dishes, nothing to complain about. Only the rib fries that were served in a small bowl with the veal, apparently familiar frozen goods, were unnecessary, didn't really go with it and I didn't eat them. We also enjoyed our wine selection.

Very good food 👍 have been there twice. Great grill and steak and very good pizzas also gluten-free.

Very sobering... After we (2 people) went to the restaurant (relatively empty) at 1:50 p.m., we first waited a while for the waiter and then another 35 minutes for 2 pizzas in an almost empty restaurant. Among other things, one ordered a pizza with North Sea crab, tuna and egg. Gamberetti and tuna were served. Unfortunately, they were also hard and dry. When I asked the waiter about it, he left. A colleague came out and said that the colleague didn't understand anything. Now I explained for the second time that my pizza wasn't as requested. There was neither an apology nor a conversation offering reparation. The waiter went to get the purse and we paid. Even the lady at the next table was shocked. Not again!!!

Very nice typical Italian restaurant with a correspondingly high-quality menu. Excellent wine list with a surprisingly large selection of German, predominantly white wines in the upscale sector at quite acceptable prices. We'll definitely be back!! 😊

Were there yesterday, my fish soup was really good and the Spaghetti Frutti di Mare as well, the boys' veal schnitzel with a delicious "fries variant" was also very good and my wife's pasta dish with goat cheese was also very good, so everyone was happy - so we've been going ever since Eating at Da Sergio for what feels like an eternity when we are on Norderney, we have had years of good experiences and years of not so good experiences, this time it was again at the top level, as it was in the good years - that's how it should stay! !

I would also give 10 stars :) Since Sergio, I'll keep it short.... Mega, perfect! From the boss when greeting us, the staff/service (Labi) were very friendly and accommodating, the food (everything was super tasty and fresh) and the atmosphere was very cozy. However, always full, speaks for Da Sergio! If you order early enough, and sometimes like that... you get a table/seat 13😉 If you're in Norderney, definitely go to Sergio a few times! We had dinner at "da Sergio" last week. The food was very good! Definitely reserve in advance! But - there is only 1 star for the service. The service at the table was nice. What didn't work was that the lid (a kind of cork) on the balsamic bottle that was on the table had fallen off without us noticing. With the flippant remark “Here you go,” it was simply put back on the bottle. Our horrified faces and the remark “He was lying on the floor!” was met with the answer "Yes, but with the lid down". Sorry, but that doesn't work at all! In any case, we didn't touch balsamic vinegar anymore.

The unfriendliest reception on the island, you don't feel welcome. Then you can take your money elsewhere.

Sergio is a regular must during our stay on Norderney. Friendly staff, always good food and a still very nice end to a beautiful day.

Great start to your holiday in the beautifully renovated Da Sergio. Great quality and nice service at White Sands too. Almost as good as in Emden :) :) -- just fun

A year ago Sergio unfortunately had a very poor service, food was forgotten and drinks didn't arrive. We experienced this often and therefore left the restaurant. I have to say a lot has happened now, the service is now more reliable and the food is back to Sergio quality like it was 5 years ago. I'm really happy about it because Sergio is the only good Italian on the island and is actually as good as it once was.

Nice and well located restaurant. The main courses were very tasty and plentiful. I don't think we need to talk about the general island prices, in my opinion they are a bit too high. Nevertheless, I would go there again, but I don't eat in a restaurant often anymore despite being on vacation...

Das Essen ist absolut ok, aber auch nicht besser als in anderen Restaurants auf Norderney. Was überhaupt nicht geht ist das arrogante und teils freche auftreten der Angestellten. Hier ist der Gast nicht könig. Man wird im Prinzip nach dem Essen gebeten zu bezahlen und das Lokal zu verlassen. Passt aber eigentlich auch zum Rest der Insel.

Wir sind keine Freunde von Restaurantketten und sind daher mit Vorbehalten zum Da Sergio geganen. Da Mittwochs aber besonders viele Restaurants auf Norderney ihren Ruhetag haben (warum auch immer...) haben wir es dann doch einmal ausprobiert. Das Restaurant ist sehr groß, abertrotzdem gemütlich eingerichtet. Da kann man sich wohlfühlen. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben beide Pizza gewählt, welche geschmacklich und handwerklich ansprechend waren. Die Kreationen sind durchaus kreativ und gut selektiert. Die Weine waren qualitativ gut, aber wie inzwischen ja leider überlich, mal wieder überteuert. Schade, zumal ein guter Wein einfach für uns zu einem Besuch beim Italiener gehört. Unsere Vorbehalte gegenüber Restaurantketten waren in diesem Fall wohl voreilig. Wir kommen sicherlich noch einmal wieder.

Es war mein Geburtstag und ich hatte einen Monat im Vorfeld reserviert, da ich wusste. dass wir an dem Tag auf der Insel sind. Wollte mit meinem Mann einen besonderen schönen Abend mit gutem Essen verbringen. Eine totale Enttäuschung. Die Insel ist sicherlich nicht günstig, aber dort stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis so gar nicht. Vorspeise und Wein waren gut. Das teuere Fleisch, welches der Kellner empfohlen hatte, eine Katastrophe, konnte ich nicht essen. Beschwerde, viele Reste auf dem Teller brachte uns noch nicht einmal, vielleicht einen Espresso aufs Haus oder eine Entschuldigung, nein, lediglich eine hohe Rechnung. Und dann bitte gehen, weil 2 Stunden um waren und die nächsten Gäste auf den Tisch warteten. Gemütlicher hätte ich eine Pizza auf der Hand gefunden. Nie wieder!

Everything was really right here. The sole was excellently prepared "meuniere" and the steak was also of very good quality. Every effort is made to satisfy the guest. I can warmly recommend that.

Definitely reserve in advance. The restaurant always feels fully booked. Great daily menu and delicious starters. For the main course we had pasta 🍝 and pizza 🍕 which was very tasty. When it comes to the Pizza Speciale selection, you should ask the cellar before ordering if you are unsure. 🧑‍🍳

Overall disappointing. The fillet steak was rare instead of medium, and the salad arrived significantly late. The plates were cold and our food came very quickly. The dyke lamb was ok, the fried potatoes were mushy and the spinach was cold. A pity.

Good Italian restaurant in the western part of the city. The menu has many dishes to offer and offers enough alternatives so that everyone from young to old should find what they are looking for.
