I had a tuna salad! Well, unfortunately I had to look for it, just like the sheep's cheese! Day dressing was tasteless, just oily! Unfortunately disappointing! Paying €16.50 for that is a shame! The service was very friendly and the food came quickly!

Mega friendly service and funny hosts. A bit "smoky" and foggy on our visit due to the pizza oven... the clothes definitely needed a wash afterwards.

The staff very friendly. The food is normal. However, if you're expecting parmesan, there's just a plain gratin cheese.

Unser Besuch im Restaurant Michelangelo war die größte Enttäuschung seit Langem. Das Lokal ist maßlos überbewertet und völlig überteuert – wir bereuen jeden Cent, den wir dort gelassen haben. Schon bei der Ankunft ging es los: 40 Minuten mussten wir draußen in der Kälte stehen, weil eine riesige Schlange vor der Tür war. Die anderen Wartenden schwärmten von der „besten Pizza aller Zeiten,“ und wir dachten, das lange Warten und die hohen Preise würden sich vielleicht lohnen. Leider wurden wir völlig enttäuscht. Im Restaurant selbst war es dann chaotisch, laut und überfüllt – eine Atmosphäre, in der man sich keineswegs wohlfühlt. Trotz der überzogenen Preise kann man hier nicht mal mit Karte zahlen, sodass wir erstmal zur Bank laufen mussten. Für ein Restaurant mit solchen Ansprüchen absolut unakzeptabel. Dann die Preise: Die Pizza kostete zwischen 18 und 20 Euro und war absolut durchschnittlich – kaum besser als eine Tiefkühlpizza. Die Pasta lag ebenfalls zwischen 18 und 20 Euro und war genauso enttäuschend. Mein Salat war der Gipfel der Frechheit: Für 6 Euro bekam ich eine Schale trockenen Blattsalat mit einem Hauch von Dressing, ein paar lieblos geviertelten Tomaten und einer einzigen Gurkenscheibe. Dafür überhaupt Geld zu verlangen, ist schon dreist. Die Getränke waren auch nicht besser: Der Aperol hatte keinerlei Sprudel, schmeckte abgestanden.

The boss has his shop under control - service works smoothly. Unfortunately the kitchen has no connection to this - the pizzas are unfortunately missing everything and are topped with raw peppers, raw onions and possibly mushrooms - which have only been sliced. It's a shame - we weren't satisfied. Cheffe noticed it and reacted quite well - that made us a little more lenient - but we don't want to give him a 2 . give chance.

The pizzas are really not recommended. It had nothing to do with Italian pizza. The spinach was completely tasteless, probably just thawed and put on the pizza….. The onions and peppers were almost still raw……basil or oregano was also missing…..hot Asian sauce was used?!?…. Service was good and great atmosphere. However, we would have preferred delicious pizzas. :( too bad

Very nice service, but the food couldn't keep up. The pizza was extremely thinly topped and not very tasty for the quite high price. The rich salad with tuna...unfortunately lacked any pizzazz. We probably won't come back.

The pizzas are getting smaller and smaller. We ordered a “well topped Frutti di Mare”. This was soupy and tasteless. Without warning, 3 euros were top of the bill. Norderney is just a rip-off... and of course everything without an EC card.

We ate there twice during our Norderney vacation and both times the food was very good and the two innkeepers were super nice and friendly. We would love to come back on our next vacation! 👍👍

Very child-friendly restaurant with children's dishes on the menu. Immediately after arrival we received coloring pages and pens. Our pizzas were delicious and even though it was very busy we didn't have to wait long. The service is extremely well-rehearsed, helpful, friendly, funny and all around perfect. We were guests here for the first time in July last year and if we come back to Norderney we will definitely be guests here again 😀

Cool pizzeria with super friendly owners... We have been coming here for years and are always very satisfied...!!! The pizza is great and the pasta is always great too…. What we think is mega is that you can't make a reservation here... !!!

It could almost mean welcome to the family. All the service staff are super nice, always have a nice saying on their lips and make you laugh. The food, no matter what it was, was delicious on each of our visits. It's a shame we live so far away, otherwise we would come over regularly. Thank you for the wonderful holiday memories 😎

It was good. Food good, service good, restaurant recently renovated.

So first of all: Absolutely delicious! Maybe even the best pizza on the island. The location: basically in the middle of town, right at an intersection. Outdoor seating is available but very limited. But it's not necessary, it's very comfortable inside. If you sit on the window side facing the Herrenpfad (yes, that's really what the street is called...), you can watch the pizzaiolo prepare the pizza, very entertaining. The service: plentiful and quick. You almost have the feeling that you could be served by two people at the same time. As soon as one of them has left, the other is there (in this case the boss himself) and makes sure that something has already happened here. But it doesn't come across as intrusive at all, it's actually rather amusing. Boss always has something entertaining to say, which is really fun. The food: The pizza is very well topped and baked fantastically, the dough is perfect. Craftsmanship in perfection! Very tasty and also plentiful, A plus with a star. A chocolate mousse with plenty of vanilla sauce for dessert? Or a tiramisu? Dare, you won't regret anything (or maybe you will, depending on what your character says about it...). In the end, the price of the whole thing is probably a little above what you might be used to at home, but not nearly as dramatically as the general Norderney experience might have led you to expect. There are completely different monetary advances here on the island when it comes to physical supplies! All in all, definitely recommended, full marks from me! Ben fatto, continue like this!

When we are on Norderney, we can't walk past Michelangelo without stopping off (dogs are welcome). It's a well-run family business, which you can tell from the fact that the boss is always there... Service is very important here. The service is super nice and quick. You don't have to wait long for the food either. The atmosphere is very cozy. We have been there many times now and have never been disappointed and are already looking forward to the next time.

Unfortunately, pizzas are becoming smaller and more expensive. But taste good! Service very attentive and nice. This time not even the children were fed up with a "big" pizza. Too bad. We have been going to Norderney for 10 years and Michelangelo has always been our regular restaurant. The last few years have diminished more and more. We will look for another Italian on the island in the future.

The pizza used to be over the edge of the plate and now it has become tiny and the dough is very thin. In addition, the vegetables like the peppers on the pizza were still raw. For these prices you would expect more. Even the children couldn't get enough of an adult's pizza

In the evening we decided to get food there and eat it at home due to the crowds in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the portions were very small and didn't even come close to justifying the price. 16€ for a portion of pasta, which I get for half price at a snack bar around the corner - the same for the pizza! In terms of taste, it's also not a hit from an aluminum bowl. Maybe it's different locally - but I can't recommend ordering something to take away from home. 65€ for an order in which four people were still hungry and for which, as described above, I would have paid perhaps half at the snack bar around the corner. Unfortunately very disappointing.

We have been coming to the island for 10 years and have only now eaten at Michelangelo's for the first time. Now we keep asking ourselves why we didn't do this sooner. Super nice team, super delicious food! The staff is always on the ball and super friendly. Table reservations are not possible, but you never have to wait long and you get a table. If it actually takes a little longer, every minute of waiting is worth it! Really highly recommended! We often went out to eat with a larger group and each time afterwards we talked about the friendly and quick service and the great taste of all the dishes. From now on it will definitely be an item on our to-do list at least once per stay. P.s.: ordering from home was also a complete success! We'll meet Again!

Die Pizzeria Michelangelo ist mehr als nur eine einfache Pizzerian. Ich habe hier die besten Gambas in Knoblauchöl aller Zeiten gegessen! Sie haben dort ein perfektes Rezept dafür. Auch den Kindern haben Pizza und Pasta super geschmeckt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall beim nächsten Inselbesuch wiederkommen. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich: obwohl es pickepacke voll war, hatten Bedienung und Restaurantleitung ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und waren ausgesprochen freundlich und nett zu allen. Vielen Dank auch dafür! Und Kompliment an die Küche.

It was our favorite restaurant for a long time when we lived on the island and still is when we visit Norderney. The food is always great, the entire staff is very friendly and always has a funny saying. We like to come back every time and recommend trying out every Michelangelo. Unfortunately, it is very much designed to process tourists. The pizza dough is good, unfortunately the toppings don't taste like anything. The service was very rough. A relaxed meal was not possible because everyone was running back and forth. In addition, the service was really not good. Unfortunately it was a disappointing evening for us.

Nice place to enjoy Italian cuisine. Everything happens very quickly. The service is very nice and attentive. The boss always has a joke ready and handles every “mishap” with charm and good humor. But not suitable for a cozy meal in peace. But still definitely recommended.

We went to the Pizzeria Michelangelo on Norderney for the first time on July 6th, 2024. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a great table where I could sit comfortably (I'm in a wheelchair). The food was perfect, hot 😋 and prepared according to our wishes. The hosts tried very hard to look after us 👌👌. When we are back in Norderney we will definitely eat there again

Very cozy restaurant, When you enter you are immediately welcomed by the friendly and personable manager Mirko! The 10 minutes wait for a table was worth it. The food was very good, but the pizza could have been a little spicier, otherwise everyone was happy! Service was great, the atmosphere was rather simple, but modern and pleasant. All in all, a visit is highly recommended!!

Please don't be confused by some of the bad reviews. I'm very picky when it comes to restaurant visits, but everything here was top notch. I have rarely eaten such good prawns. The ambience is an A+ with stars. The staff has their hearts in the right place. Simply great - I'll be back again in the next few days! ;)

I have rarely experienced such a great "simple" Italian restaurant. Super delicious food at fair prices. The staff and the owners are nice and they all take great care of their guests. We look forward to this nice shop every time I come to Norderney.

The three of us went there for dinner this evening. All 4 meals were very good Bruscetta, fish, veg. pizza, veg. Spaghetti, Service very quick, Three very nice service staff, Unfortunately, a female waiter was very snippy, so I was on the verge of telling her and not giving a tip. It's strange that you can't pay with a card given the prices there these days.

So far so good. However, no card payments possible. One immediately thinks of black money and money laundering... Welcome to 2024. p

Für uns gehört das Restaurant inzwischen fest zum Programm wenn wir auf der Insel sind. Das Essen hat uns bisher immer geschmeckt, das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Very nice and funny staff, everyone is on the move quickly, courteous and not intrusive. The pizzas are delicious and the meat platter is also great. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended.

Sehr netter Inhaber. Die drei Male, wo wir dort waren, wurden immer die Speisen mit frischen Zutaten hergestellt . Man merkt die Liebe der Küche zu Lebensmitteln und auch die Liebe weiter Zubereitung der einzelnen Speisen . Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und fanden auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis angemessen. Das einzige Manko ist, wenn das Restaurant voll ist, hat man ein recht hohen Lärmpegel. Dafür hat aber die Qualität der Speisen für die Lautstärke mehr als entschädigt.

The pizza dough would have rolled up any Italian's toenails. Unfortunately the pizza was very tasteless, it's a mystery to me how you can do that with garlic on a seafood pizza. However, the price was upper class

We were there twice! The food and service are great!

First of all: We ordered and picked up our food, which is why I can't say much about the service and ambience. We ordered a pasta dish with spinach and gorgonzola and the lasagna. The Gorgonzola pasta was a little bland, but with extra salt and pepper it was quite tasty. For my personal taste, the lasagna was layered very thinly, which is why you usually had a rather solid “lump” of lasagna sheets and ham in your mouth, with just the sauce around the outside. For me, the solid core with ham just wasn't to my taste, but the sauce was delicious. If you like it that way, the lasagne can be quite good. For the price we found the portions a little small. Conclusion: The taste may just not be our thing, but ordering and picking up was quick and uncomplicated.

Rich selection of the best Italian food that will make you want to come back, plus the best host on the island with impeccable service. You can simply give maximum stars.

Pizza was okay, the lasagna was bad, had nothing to do with Italian lasagne (dough was sticky and floury, meat sauce and cooked ham were used). The place was packed and so loud that it was almost impossible to have a conversation at the table. But the waitresses were very nice.

I have never been treated as unfriendly and arrogant as I was at the new "outside window" of the restaurant. My question about a children's pizza (as it is expressly offered in the store) was answered with "Pizza is only available in one size here, after all we are a restaurant and not a fast food restaurant". In response to my puzzled face, the lady said, I'll close the window again, you can think about it. I asked if she couldn't put the small pizza in the big box? No she can not! I can't say anything about the food, we couldn't agree.

We spontaneously came to dinner with 9 people and 4 children and it was a very nice evening. The staff, especially the owner Mirko, was very friendly and funny and was also very funny with the children, they brought us painting supplies straight away. The food came quickly and was very tasty. It was very nice and funny to talk to Mirko and you felt very welcome. We'd love to come back!

The taste of the food is no different from the other Italian restaurants on the island. It's good, but it's not memorable.

The Italian!!!, authentic, honest, price/performance is right!!!, you can't go wrong here, always delicious and has been for years.

We wanted to order pizzas for pickup. Three normal and one children's pizza, from the specially specified children's menu. Unfortunately, when I called to order, I received the cheeky answer that children's pizzas were out. A joke, right? I felt really confused! Then had to order a large pizza for my 8 year old daughter. Unfortunately I had to forego a tip for the service! The pizzas were mediocre in terms of taste, I can't judge the ambience.

Everything was just right! Friendly welcome, child was immediately provided with a coloring picture and crayons. The request for "unlimited" ketchup was also dealt with immediately The food was very good and the service was great! Unfortunately it wasn't possible to pay by card, but you can get over that given the all-round package. Many thanks and greetings to the team!

The two of us ate here and were satisfied. My spaghetti carbonara could have had a little more seasoning and the ham could also have been a little crispier. A little more parmesan on top would be nice too. The Pizza Napoletana was very salty due to the many anchovies and the edge was already very crispy. But with this process it is probably difficult for the kitchen to always achieve the perfect timing. Service was very friendly and attentive and the prices here aren't really any higher than on the mainland.

The Michelangelo on Norderney is definitely a culinary gem! My partner enjoyed an exceptionally delicious pizza that would make our regular Italian restaurant jealous. Personally, I chose the grill plate and was not disappointed - the steak was cooked to medium rare, exactly as I had hoped. The portions were generous, and the ambience in the restaurant and the friendly service contributed to an all-round successful evening. We are already looking forward to returning here on our next vacation!

We were here in the low season. That nothing was going on - the landlord can't help it. But unfortunately the food is extremely poor. My wife had a salad with extra feta cheese, although the dressing was unfortunately completely tasteless. It feels like a whole iceberg lettuce with two tomatoes, three slices of cucumber and two pieces of pepper. It's not worthy of an Italian restaurant. The pizza was delicious, but also the smallest pizza I have ever received in a pizzeria. The wine recommended to us was apparently not chosen based on taste criteria, but rather based on profit margin. We wouldn't come back again.

We came here spontaneously. Were welcomed nicely and friendly. However, we were very disappointed with the food. I imagine a salad at an Italian restaurant to be different than just iceberg lettuce. There are better, creative salads in every catering chain. And it's a shame, the wine wasn't good either. You can definitely eat much better Italian food on Norderney.

Tasty, child-friendly and the price-performance ratio is right. I've eaten better, but it's definitely recommended for an Italian in a holiday resort. We will definitely come back next time we visit the island. Small but important tip - be sure to reserve or get there early. The restaurant is very busy even in the off-season.

We were there during the week in the low season. Nice atmosphere and very friendly reception and service. However, the pizza was below average. Little flavor and the garlic tasted musty. We wouldn't go there again for a pizza.

We had a pizza with tuna, onions, arugula and chili oil as well as a pizza bruschetta to take away. Both pizzas were very tasty. The interior made a very cozy impression. The right wine was available in the small shop opposite, which was recommended to us. Next time we're in Norderney we'll be happy to enjoy the pizza there.
