Dinos Bistro in Norderney

Food very good, service very bad.

We had a wonderful dinner here. The appetizers, main courses, and wine were excellent. The wait times were reasonable. The ambiance is very cozy; from the outside it looks a bit cramped, but that's not an issue once you get inside the restaurant. The decor invites you to linger. I had the halibut from the daily special, and I highly recommend it.

We discovered this bistro for lunch and were not disappointed. Lovely little shop with a cozy outdoor area. Very friendly staff and hardly any wait time. The food is typical for the island, not exactly cheap, but definitely worth it! The tuna tartare and pasta with scampi were first-class! Beautifully presented, and both the quality and taste were top-notch. Generally, the food selection is absolutely top-notch. Lots of seafood, not just burgers, pizza, or kebabs... If you're on Norderney, you should definitely stop here. Great! Card payments accepted.

Fish was fried dry. Rack of lamb was too red in the center, "standard" side dishes with various dishes, and blandly seasoned. Table service was nonexistent. Given the bill, it was "not recommended." This may have been due to the number of guests on the island at that time.

The food was great, so we came here for the second time today! Top-notch value for money!

A wonderful moment to end the evening with (not only) excellent cuisine and the best recommendation of the perfect wine to go with the meal. Reservations are required, as connoisseurs and gourmets know about this little "tavern"...

Very, very delicious food: scallops followed by lamb, lobster, and beef fillet. Plus tagliatelle with truffle sauce and penne with Gorgonzola sauce, also really good. We really enjoyed our meal with you, thank you so much.

Top food, great service, would love to come back

A nice restaurant, but unfortunately the food was mediocre across the board: the tuna and avocado tartar lacked freshness, the baby sole was cooked far too long, making it hard, and the Heligoland lobster we ordered separately (it wasn't listed on the menu, but was offered as a special) was a disaster: also completely overcooked and smothered in a strange tarragon sauce, with soft seaweed on the side, and a huge portion of truffle pasta served with a completely unsuitable flavor. Disappointing and really not good. A shame, because the atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting.

Fresh ingredients, excellently prepared, served hot. Super friendly and highly recommended. I'll be eating there again in the next few days.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be publicly scolded by a cranky old head waiter, Dino’s Bistro has you covered. My friend was accused of spilling a few drops of water on a cushion — a tragedy, clearly — and we were shouted at like unruly schoolkids as we left. The food? As bland as the service was aggressive. Unless you enjoy overpriced meals served with a side of arrogance and misplaced rage, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Can't wait to never give back!

Despite a telephone reservation, no table was offered because no entry was made in the book. The owner was also unaccommodating when the phone call was presented as proof. Therefore, the bistro is not recommended.

We had to wait more than 20 minutes for our order. The response we received was that it would be okay if it didn't work "immediately." No!!! Never 👎🏻 again

The lobster was excellent. We didn't have to wait long. Advance reservations are necessary, though.

Very tasty food with very pleasant service. We had the salmon and prawns with tagliatelle and truffles. Tastes very good and also very nicely prepared.

My experience on April 21, 2025. I like this restaurant a lot, I appreciate the ambience. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I was very surprised by the behavior of the waitress. I want to enjoy my evening, even if it lasts several hours. Unfortunately, this was not possible because reservations were tight. I offered a strange woman a place at my table and her table was then free to use. Nevertheless, the service was rude. Sad.

Leider war ich enttäuscht. Es war bisher immer sehr nett und ich schätze dieses Restaurant sehr. Die Bedienung war ungehalten. Das Essen war nicht schlecht, nur sehr wenig auf dem Teller, irgendwie lieblos das Ganze.

Im kleinen Glashaus mit ca. 20 Plätzen erlebt man glücklicherweise keine Massenabfertigung, sondern einen individuellen und persönlichen Service. Nachdem wir an mehreren Tagen zuvor Fisch gegessen hatten, haben wir uns bei Dinos neben Vorspeisen für ein Rinderfilet und ein Saltimbocca als Hauptgericht entschieden. Beides war vorzüglich, auch das anschließen geteilte Tiramisu und die Absacker. Unbedingt reservieren, wir haben das gleich vor Ort noch einmal gemacht,

Hier kann man einen super netten Abend verbringen. Klein aber fein. Eine Reservierung empfiehlt sich! Wir wurden nett empfangen und der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Zur normalen Karte gab es noch aktuelle Empfehlungen und es war für jeden etwas dabei! Auch zur Wein/ Schaps-Auswahl wurde man gut beraten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Yesterday we had a great start to our holiday at the Winterzauber Market and then ate at Dinos Bistro. For starters we had the bruschetta and the tuna tartare. As a main course, spaghetti con gambas and penne al salmone. As always, everything was excellent. Service very friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

As always, we were served friendly and quickly. One employee (unfortunately I don't know his name) is extremely knowledgeable about wines and you can always rely on his recommendation. The food was very good, keep it up! We'll be back with you on our next visit to Norderney!!!👌It's just nice that dogs are welcome.

Tuna tartare and scallops in saffron sauce are simply great. Cozy atmosphere, service very friendly. It's a shame that there's only a small amount of space and it's mostly fully booked.

We had such a nice day... and then this! We had made a reservation the day before and had to wait for our table (actually no problem, but rather rudely sent outside to wait). We then sat directly at the pass-through table and were ignored after ordering... maybe we would have wanted to drink more than just one wine or an espresso??!! And the service team was really well staffed with 3 people. Food was mediocre (we pointed that out). The bill was slapped on us without a kind word. There are better places on the island. People, use it.

Unfortunately you have to give one star here! We have never experienced such an arrogant owner and such poor service. We made a reservation by phone a few days before our trip. Since we had the feeling that we hadn't been understood despite a simple name, we went to the restaurant again two hours before the appointment today to have the reservation confirmed. This also happened. When we arrived, they acted as if they didn't know us and asked us to wait outside the door while other guests who came after us were immediately brought to the table. We are not used to this kind of behavior and will certainly never come here again.

Been there several times, the service is always super friendly, every wish is made possible. Food is a 10/10! Really great!

An Italian is a joy Spontaneously as we walked past, we sat outside under the (great!) warming lamps and enjoyed a really delicious meal and very good wine. Together with the friendly service, this is a reason for us to come back in the future. Next year!

Dinner with friends from around 8:00 p.m. Mostly very tasty starters and main courses. At a higher price level. balanced price/performance ratio. Attentive service staff with partial expertise. The restaurant closes around 10 p.m., then you have to finish your meal and digestif. 😉

...discovered by chance and found to be very good. I ordered a delicious rack of lamb and enjoyed it...don't get jealous, just visit the island of Norderney...

Spontan aus dem Vorbeigehen setzten wir uns draußen unter (doll!) wärmende Lampen und genossen ein wirklich leckeres Essen und sehr guten Wein. Zusammen mit dem freundlichen Service ist das zukünftig für uns Grund zum Wiederkommen. Next year!

Very nice little bistro in a cozy atmosphere. Very good selected wines, dishes are highly recommended. The staff is also very attentive and friendly. Full marks from me.

Wir waren vier Abende auf der Insel und davon dreimal in Dinos Bistro zum Essen. Tolles, kleines Restaurant mit netter Terrasse, abseits vom “Trubel”. Besonders gut fanden wir die Vorspeisen und die gute, übersichtliche Weinauswahl, alles zu fairen Preisen. Der Service war gut und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Restaurant with a few tables inside, some outside too. Food was good, wine recommendation was also good. Service slightly hectic, probably because it was full. We were there once at lunchtime, then everything is more relaxed! Conclusion: gladly again, definitely make a reservation.

Family gastronomy The restaurant is a place to relax and enjoy. “Live until you're sick of kisses and tired of drinking,” this saying from Lessing aptly reflects the philosophy of the restaurant. The service gives you a sense of family and the fun factor is not neglected. The dishes are interpreted individually in the kitchen and you can taste the craftsmanship. Thank you, it was an experience and we would love to come back!

The food was top as always. Unfortunately, the restaurant manager's mood wasn't quite as rosy because there were so few guests on site because of the European Championships. That's understandable, but it was a bit too much information for us. We just wanted to enjoy a quiet evening with good food. Otherwise, really highly recommended. Great location!

If the wrong food is accidentally brought to the table for one of the two guests, you then have to eat alone and after 15 minutes the correct order comes for the second guest, I expect an apology or the 2 espressos on the house... even if that is the case I understand that there are problems with the service.

You have to take the boss as he is...actually a very nice person. The food was excellent every time!!

We recently ate at Dino’s Bistro and really enjoyed the food - the dishes were really excellent. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food. Despite the delay, we were asked to leave the restaurant after two hours because the next guests were supposedly already waiting, although no one was in sight. We were told that this was announced over the phone, but we don't remember this and no one pointed it out to us on site either. This meant we could no longer enjoy dessert or drink an espresso. Unfortunately, the owner wasn't particularly friendly in this situation. Based on these experiences, we can only recommend the restaurant to a limited extent despite the good food.

Dino's Bistro stands out at first glance because of the selection of wines in the window. Second because of the wonderful ambience. This is all eclipsed by the first time we tried the escargots. An absolute delight. And that's how it stayed. Everything we got on our plate was excellent. My only regret is not being in Norderney long enough to try everything on the menu. Whenever I'm back on the island, Dino's Bistro is my daily choice.

Wie immer, wurden wir bei Dino nicht enttäuscht. Gutes Essen, guter Wein, sehr nette Bedienung….und familientauglich ! Pizza, auch super zum mitnehmen. Ansonsten besser reservieren.

Ganz ganz tolles Lokal! Sehr lecker abgeschmeckte Gerichte. Tolle Tageskarte und nette Bedienung / Beratung. Das Umfeld und das Ambiente sind sehr ansprechend. Die von uns gegessenen Speisen waren so lecker, dass wir nirgendwo anderes mehr hin wollten. Wir waren drei Abende dort und haben viel probiert - alles einwandfrei :-)

We have been there repeatedly and would love to come back! Cozy restaurant with delicious, honest cuisine and personal service from “the uncle” (Harald). You can blindly rely on his wine recommendation if you tell him its taste preferences.

One of the best Italian restaurants we know. Excellent quality from the kitchen. A waiter who has excellent wine knowledge. For us an absolute highlight and must on the island!

Anyone looking for something special on Norderney should stop by Dinos Bistro. A great little Italian restaurant with excellent Italian cuisine and perfectly matched wines. A very cozy atmosphere and an extremely friendly host. I think we've found a new starting point...

Wir haben hier mit unserem 16 Monate alten Sohn sehr lecker zu Abend gegessen. Schönes Ambiente, toller, extrem kinderfreundlicher Service, frisch zubereitete Speisen und guter Wein. Da kommt man gerne wieder.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend, in einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre. Definitiv zu empfehlen.

Ein relativ kleines Bistro im Zentrum von Norderney. Tolle Tageskarte, sehr gut zubereitet- dazu eine gute Weinauswahl. Unsere Wahl war: Kalbskotelett und Fischteller

Zwei Mal zum Abendessen dort gewesen. Zuvorkommend, gut gelaunt. Drinnen ist gemütliches Sitzen möglich, ohne dem Nachbartisch auf die Pelle zu rücken.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant, Essen von guter Qualität, freundlicher und zugewandter Service. Leider konnte man 21:45 Uhr keinen Nachtisch mehr bestellen, obwohl wir schon mehr als 20Min. auf das Essen gewartet hatten. Das war ein bisschen schade. Die Rechnung bekamen wir mit den Worten: „wir machen gleich Feierabend“ unaufgefordert um 22:00 Uhr gebracht. Daher ein Stern weniger und die Empfehlung vor 20:00 Uhr zu kommen.

Wir waren am Freitag das 1. Mal da und uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Super Service, leckeres Essen und vernünftige Preise. War an einem Montagabend dort, der Laden war voll habe aber relativ zügig das Essen bekommen. Preislich sicherlich nicht günstig aber jeden Euro wert. Komme gerne wieder.

Dinos Bistro wäre mein Stammlokal, wenn ich doch etwas näher wohnen würde. Das Essen war hervorragend - ich musste nicht nachwürzen (und das ist in meinem Fall bemerkenswert) und der Service war freundlich. Die Pesto Pasta war zum Niederknien! Preis-Leistung angemessen.

Von aussen vielleicht ein wenig unscheinbar, aber ein wahnsinnig guter Service, exzellente, Weine und Speisen, die auf den Punkt getroffen sind. Selten so gut beraten worden und mit solch einem glücksgefühl nach dem Essen und Trinken eine Gastronomie verlassen... Vielen Dank für die zwei wundervollen Abende

Sehr leckeres Essen und zuvorkommende und schnelle Bedienung. Ich hätte Vitello Tonnato und die Riesengambas. Beides sehr sehr lecker! Da gehe ich wieder hin.

Einfach mega lecker immer wieder

Behandlung durch den Service leider unterirdisch Wir haben um 18 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert. Bis nach 19 Uhr haben wir auf das Essen gewartet. Das englisch gewünschte Steak war kalt. Das saltimbocca war teilweise nicht durch. Ansonsten war das Essen ganz gut. Nach dem Essen wurde und die Rechnung vorgelegt, da der Tisch neu besetzt werden sollte. Es wurde nicht nach Kaffee, Nachtisch oder weiteren Getränken gefragt. Den Gästen am Nachbartisch wurde gesagt, sie sollen draußen austrinken. Leider kommt die Küche nicht mit dem kantinengehabe des Services nicht hinterher.

Super Empfehlung: nette, kompetente Bedienung, leckere Speisen in sauberem Ambiente und sehr feiner Wein. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Carpaccio mit Parmesan, Pinienkernen und hochwertigem Olivenöl, als Hauptspeise 1/2 Hummer mit Tomatensugo und Parmesantagliatelle und als Dessert ein Schokosouffle und eine Creme Brulet. Dazu einen Sauvignon Blanc "Ein Tag am Meer". Wir kommen wieder!

Es gibt bestimmt nettere Restaurants wo man sitzen und besser essen kann. Auf unsere Frage innen nach einem Platz kam ziemlich barsch ein nein auf keinen Fall nur draußen. Draußen Platz genommen essen bestellt. Kam dann auch. Lieblos angerichtet und mein Fisch für 32€ versalzen. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Und ich habe lediglich gefragt ob der Koch verliebt sei. Nicht zu vergleichen mit Dino's Osteria, in der wir letzte Woche unter anderem Pizza gegessen haben . Dort war es auch brechend voll, aber wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt und durften nach einer Wartezeit wieder kommen. Dieses Lokal ist wirklich zu empfehlen.

Ein sehr nettes kleines Lokal mit fantastischem Essen, guten Weinen und schöner Atmosphäre. Aufgrund der Größe des Lokals sollte man unbedingt einen Tisch reservieren. Die Reservierungen werden für 18 und 20 Uhr vergeben. Das bedeutet allerdings: Hat man für 18 Uhr reserviert, muss man den Tisch für die nachfolgende Reservierung räumen.
