Restaurant Amici in Norderney

What can I say? Incredibly good! This is our third time on Norderney, and we're also heading to this little Italian osteria for the third time (twice this holiday). Totally cozy, and the food is amazing! I had penne with arugula pesto and prawns. A dream, and beautifully presented with fresh Gran Padano. The wine recommendation was also excellent; it suited us perfectly. Creative greetings from the kitchen. A vegetable cream spread, delicately seasoned with tarragon – very tasty, not just the usual garlic/dip mix. I was thrilled, and when I asked, they even told me how it was made – fantastic! Thank you, Darth Vader and team! It was superb and highly recommended! I'll gladly come back and am already waiting for a table to enjoy it. 🤗

Delicious food and incredibly friendly service. They even provided a blanket for the dog, plus a cute little heated conservatory. Definitely worth 5 stars and highly recommended!

Since you can't make reservations, we arrived at 5:30 a.m. The restaurant opens at 5:15 p.m. Nevertheless, all the tables were already booked. The waitress offered to call if a table became available. It worked out perfectly, and the wait was worth it. It was delicious.

The service and the food were perfect. What bothered me was that it was very noisy in the restaurant, and the music was a bit too loud. But otherwise, we had a wonderful evening there.

After a terribly rainy day, we felt very comfortable here. Delicious food and wonderful wine. The service was exceptionally friendly and always there when you needed them. We'd be happy to come back.

Delicious Italian food, though no pizza. Just pasta and meat/fish. We had spaghetti with garlic sauce, mushrooms, strips of beef fillet, and Parmesan cheese. It wasn't homemade pasta, and the dried mushrooms weren't, but it was still very lovingly made and delicious. Beforehand, we had baguettes with an absolutely delicious dip. If you like delicious pasta in a small, cozy restaurant, this is the place for you.

If you're treating yourself to a break on Norderney, be sure to visit. No reservation necessary. Hospitality is paramount here. The food is excellent. I was served an incredibly delicious tiramisu for dessert. Always Amici Norderney.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner today. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were immediately offered a table. The restaurant was very busy. We enjoyed our meal immensely...we certainly won't be coming here again. The portions were good value for money, in our opinion. All in all, 5 out of 5 stars

Everything great. Like in recent years. This restaurant alone is worth the trip to Norderney. Great concept for reservations. Walk by or call and have a call back if a table is available. Then that's how much time we needed. The food is always super delicious. There are always different daily specials that make it difficult to order something from the normal menu. Dessert is also highly recommended - if you still have an appetite. Very friendly, competent, fast and attentive service and the price-performance ratio is also very fair, what more could you want.

We actually almost always eat Picata Milanese here 😋😍😋😍😋😍😋😍. But just as important as the delicious food is the super friendly chef and his super-lovable staff. We're not picky about our table, so it doesn't bother us that you can't make reservations. Come, take a seat, eat and drink, and leave happy, full, and satisfied. We really enjoyed it! I had spaghetti with garlic, Parmesan, and oil. It was incredibly delicious! The pasta was simply fantastic, with the perfect consistency. The oil wasn't too much, not too little. The Parmesan was also fantastic, and garlic is a tricky thing, of course... a subtle flavor enhancer; it could have been a bit less, but it wasn't a problem. At the end, we had a nightcap on the house and a bag of homemade gummy bears for the little ones. Highly recommended! We'll be back.

Very tasty! Very friendly service! You have to get there early, as reservations aren't possible! We think it's great, though. Very child- and dog-friendly! We adults got a free grappa after dinner, our daughter a small bag of sweets, and even our dachshund got boiled chicken. We've never had something for our dog before. Highly recommended!

It's more than just a place. I feel like I'm in paradise. Everything here was delicious, and I can only recommend it to everyone. The restroom is also beautifully decorated and very hygienic. Plus, every customer has their own towel.

Amici is, to sum it up in one word: fantastic 😋 Everything is just perfect... the service is friendly, cheerful, and attentive; the food is delicious, prepared with great ingredients and beautifully presented; the ambiance is simply fun and perfectly rounds off the whole experience (whether outside, inside, or in the conservatory - there's something for everyone here). We love coming back every time, and a meal at Amici makes our vacation even more enjoyable.

A true highlight on Norderney – for gourmets and Star Wars fans! Amici is Italian cuisine at its finest – the food was simply world-class! Fresh, perfectly prepared, cooked with love – you can taste the quality in every bite. The service is also top-notch: friendly, attentive, and warm – you immediately feel welcome here. What's particularly nice: I share the owner's passion for Star Wars, which is even charmingly reflected on the receipt. You rarely find such attention to detail – a true experience! For me, an absolute must on Norderney. I'm already looking forward to the next time – and to the next galactically good pasta!

Yesterday I had dinner at Amici with my family. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. My cousin was kindly allowed to breastfeed her baby in the boss's office. The food was also extremely tasty. I also thought it was very good that the restaurant worked without reservations.

The staff announces themselves and keeps the next table free. Great and fair system! We have been there several times and would love to come back next time we visit the island!

Not Italian at all. Boring German dishes with Italian names. The “Breaded Salmon” was just sad, spartan even.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food and ambience. We reserved a week in advance, unfortunately no one remembers it or it wasn't noted. We got very strange answers.

We had the opportunity to eat here on the second attempt. The day before the waiting time would have been too long for hunger. The concept is good, no reservation is possible, you don't have to make room for the next guest after a two-hour stay, but you can order, eat and drink grappa in peace! I chose lamb rump and it was excellent. Very good price/performance ratio. (Pizza??? No, it's better to choose the dishes on offer;)

Wir hatten nicht vorbestellt und mussten etwas auf einen freien Tisch warten, wurden dann angerufen, als etwas frei wurde. Wir haben auf Empfehlung eines Stammgastes mehrere Vorspeisen als Hauptspeise bestellt - und waren begeistert. Insbesondere die Geflügelleber war richtig gut. Der Service war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Trotz vollem Gastraum haben wir nicht lange auf das Essen warten müssen.

Ich bewerte an dieser Stelle nicht das Essen im "Amici" sondern ausschließlich die arrogante, überhebliche, dümmliche Bewertung des "Süddeutschen" Peter W. von September 2024, der den "Nord- und Westdeutschen" unterstellt, nicht unterscheiden zu können zwischen guter und schlechter italienischer Küche. Rat an Peter W.: Statt derartige blöde Polemik zu verfassen, lernen Sie noch einmal gründlich die Komma-Regeln - und bleiben Sie in Süddeutschland!

Wir waren Ende September aufgrund der Bewertungen in dem Lokal. Auf den Punkt gebracht ist hier nichts Iralienisch. An dieser Stelle möchte ich aber den Bewertenden ein ganz schlechtes Zeugnis ausstellen. In Norddeutschland oder NRW wo ja die meisten Bewertungen herkommen gibt man sich mit sowas zufrieden. Bei uns in Süddeutschland würde das Lokal nicht funktionieren. Antipasti mit halben Eiern geht gar nicht dazu noch Krabben und irgendwelche Mayonnaise Sauce dazu alles eiskalt hat nichts mit italienischen Antipasti zu tun. Wir sind nach der Antipasti Platte für zwei wieder gegangen. Zum Schluss noch ein Wort an die Freunde der italienischen Küche. In einer OSTERIA gibt es niemals Pizza. Das ist das einzige Authentische an dem Lokal.

We were there for dinner yesterday. The waiter seemed very distracted from the start. Everything seemed hectic and unplanned and there was a smell of cigarettes everywhere. The mineral water came in a nice bottle, which was only filled up - because the lid was not closed. More than cheeky for the price paid. The food was delicious, small portions and unfortunately my pasta came with parmesan, even though it was canceled. The waiter admitted that he had forgotten this.

Wir sind hier recht spontan eingekehrt, nachdem wir unsere Handynummer hinterlegt hatten mit der Bitte, uns über einen kurzfristig frei werdenden Tisch im Wintergarten zu informieren. Wir haben nur knapp eine halbe Stunde warten müssen. Die Wartezeit hat sich gelohnt, denn das Essen war ein Volltreffer. Wir saßen auch sehr schön, hatten eine aufmerksame, freundliche Bedienung und erfreuten uns an leckeren Speisen: die Bruschetta mit Tomaten, die Spaghetti mit Pfifferlingen und ein ausgezeichnetes Schweinefilet in Gorgonzolasoße mit Beilagen. Dazu einen Lambrusco. Wunderbar! Klare Empfehlung!

You are treated like you are in a star restaurant. Great service (from Lord Vader), the food was very good and a very pleasant, quiet atmosphere. There was also a free espresso or grappa on the house. If you're on Norderney it's definitely worth a visit

Sehr gutes Essen zuvorkommende Bedienung. Vorspeisenteller Antipasta sehr zu empfehlenswert. Auch die Matjes waren sehr zart.

Wir haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Begrüßung war angenehm und wir haben unseren Abend wieder einmal sehr genossen. Das Brot und die Dips vom Haus waren sehr lecker. Wir haben uns drei leckere Vorspeisen geteilt und ein Dessert dazu gewählt. Wir kommen wieder….

Norderney ohne Restaurant-Reservierung ist schwierig. Amici nimmt keine Reservierungen an. Das ist gut. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, als wenn wir ewige Stammgäste wären und erhielten den vorletzten Tisch in dem in warmen Farben gemütlich eingerichteten Innenraum. Hier ein Eckchen, dort ein Eckchen. Freundliche und vollkommen entspannte Bedienungen (der Laden war voll!) stimmten uns wohlig ein. Das ausgewählte Essen kam nett angerichtet auf den Tisch und schmeckte vorzüglich. Die Preise sind fair kalkuliert; die Weine etwas zu sportlich. Aber es ist ja Urlaub. Zum Schluss noch ein interessanter Drink aufs Haus. Ein schöner Abend; wir kommen gern wieder.

Perfect service, fantastic food and cozy atmosphere. Here service is lived by every employee and you can feel it. Here, every movement of everyone sits like gears that together form a clockwork. You are greeted very politely and, if there is no table available, you have the opportunity to sit down in front of the restaurant. Everyone is welcome here, including children and dogs. Even our dog was treated like a king. After ordering drinks, we received bread and dip on the house in advance. Then our table was set according to the orders. The waiting time for food and drinks was very short. The food was incredibly good so we decided to come back straight away. The dessert was simply to die for. At the end there was grappa on the house. The little one also received children's grappa and sweets. I really can't imagine what could have been done better. The next trip to Noderney is already booked and we already know where we will go out to eat again.
