Great restaurant with a lovely ambiance. We sat upstairs at a table with a view of the restaurant's lower level. It was very cozy. The staff was excellent. Julien, in particular, was fantastic. He was in a good mood and had a great sense of humor despite the packed house. Thumbs up. We also really enjoyed the food. We'll definitely be back again.

I had already eaten here once before in early 2024, and when I was back on Norderney, I immediately knew I wanted to eat here again. Luckily, I made a table reservation; otherwise, you might not get a free table. The service is excellent; the staff are very friendly and extremely attentive. They immediately noticed when your drink glass was empty and asked if you wanted another one. The food was served quickly after ordering, and the black noodles with shrimp were fantastic! For dessert, I ordered the chocolate soufflé, which was also incredibly delicious. All in all, a fantastic restaurant with a fantastic chef (the food was amazing) and staff. I can definitely recommend it!

The saltimbocca was amazing! It's a bit underwhelming in the photo because it was too dark to photograph, but it tasted very good. The tiramisu wasn't authentic but also delicious. The soup was very aromatic. The entire evening was very good and reasonably priced for Norderney.

We were sitting outside. It wasn't long before the boss came over with a local and started talking on the phone and smoking at the next table. I'm not a radical, but I don't think that's appropriate. The food was relatively inexpensive, but immediately recognizable as convenience. Instead of pepper sauce, I got mushrooms.

We ate there in the middle of peak holiday season. You're always skeptical at first about getting a seat in the evening. We had great service and were able to position our chairs wherever we needed them. The food was excellent and arrived very quickly. The service was also excellent. There's nothing to complain about if you want something to eat after a shopping trip downtown. The value for money was also very reasonable.

The location right next to the monument is perfect for exploring the surrounding area. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Al Monumento to everyone!

They offer everything from simple to high-quality dishes. Italian, but no pizza. I ate a tuna steak, my husband had ricotta-filled ravioli. We drank wine. We were very satisfied.

We had dinner here on our first evening. It was actually full, but somehow they managed to get us a seat. That was a very friendly, positive start. Later, the impression was confirmed by the fast, friendly, and humorous service. The food and wine were truly outstanding. We haven't tried any other Italian restaurants on Norderney, but I'd say al Monumento is definitely among the best.

No, unfortunately not. The cheese from the appetizer had mold on one side. It wasn't taken off the bill. But I didn't want to argue about it for long. The main course, the salmon, was a bit dry. And with the rosemary potatoes, it was a bit dry without the sauce.

A nice and casual Italian restaurant in the heart of Norderney. Five of us came here for dinner. The service was friendly and attentive, albeit a bit too pushy for my taste. A good selection of different wines. For the prices, the portions could have been a bit larger and the quality of the food better; unfortunately, some dishes lacked a bit of flair.

OMG I have never eaten so bad in my entire life.. Pork schnitzel, cream sauce and fries.. Lunch that every chip shop serves.. Schnitzel so tasteless prepared in the deep fryer, cream sauce from the bag without mushrooms.. Price would have been ok if it had tasted good

We had a delicious meal here. The service is very good. Due to the narrowness, the lower area of ​​the restaurant was quite busy and noisy as two groups of men were sitting there and chatting animatedly. But everyone certainly feels differently.

Wir sind gleich am ersten Abend unseres Aufenthalts hier eingekehrt und waren mehr als angetan! Wir wählten einen gemütlichen Platz oben auf der Empore mit Blick nach draußen. Von Beginn an haben wir uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt und wurden auch unfassbar nett und zuvorkommend bedient und beraten. Wir wählten Hähnchenbrustfilet mit Rosmarinkartoffeln und hausgemachte Ravioli und wurden auch hier überrascht. Gute Portionen, nett angerichtet und sehr schmackhaft! Gut abgeschmeckte Soßen, frischer knackiger Salat mit unaufdringlichem leckeren Dressing (sehr gut!), auf den Punkt gebratenes Fleisch und richtig guten Ravioli mit frischem leicht krossen Brot. Dazu leckeren Rose……herrlich! Danke euch für einen schönen Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Leider zu Silvester eine spezielle Karte (eine Seite) alle Gerichte zwischen 40 und 50 €. Leider waren diese ihr Geld nicht Wert. Geschmack 0815 mit viel zu hohen Preisen und wir fühlten uns hier zum Silvester abgezogen. Sind uns einig, nie wieder werden wir den Laden betreten. Mein Eindruck, egal hier zocken wir mal die doofen Touristen ab. Für mich einfach nur enttäuschend. Nicht zu empfehlen

Wir waren mit unserem kleinen Sohn und Schwiegereltern in dem Lokal essen und wir wurden positiv überrascht. Der Service war super, nicht aufdringlich, aber sehr aufmerksam. Leider selten so erlebt. Als Vorspeise hatten wir eine Bruschetta-Platte die war sehr lecker und eine Kürbissuppe hier gab es bei unserem Essen ein paar Punktabzüge, denn sie erinnerte mehr an eine Gemüsesuppe als an eine Kürbissuppe, aber das ist natürlich immer alles subjektiv. Unsere Hauptgänge waren alle sehr lecker. Besonders die Filetspitzen auf Trüffelpasta waren sehr lecker. Rundum war es ein sehr gelungener und leckerer Abend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

We were warmly welcomed in the evening without a reservation and offered a table on the terrace. Service very friendly and accommodating. We ordered saltimbocca. Very fine, great taste. A light wine sauce, broccoli refined with herbs, onions and parmesan. Delicious rosemary potatoes. The dish was a delight. It's a shame that Norderney isn't just around the corner.

Chic restaurant with attentive staff and delicious food

Eating is like that. Service a bit sour. Friends ordered another bottle of wine, it was restricted because they said the table would be given away in 10 minutes. We were with 12 people. It would have been nice to say something beforehand.

We had linguini with porcini mushrooms and beef fillet. Overall, the food tasted quite bland and the pasta was far from al dente, possibly pre-cooked or simply in the water for too long. The beef fillet strips as a topping were really good. In contrast, the beef mixed into the noodles was terribly tough and reminded me of my first failed attempt in my life to make a roast beef. Maybe a bad day in the kitchen, but unfortunately it wasn't even close to worth what was shown on the bill. The remaining leftovers on both plates also seemed to be the reason for the service side not to ask how we liked it and the plates were then cleared away with the words “I’ll take that with me.” The tip wasn't given, still no indication of a query, what a shame!

At first we had a good impression of the restaurant, which later turned completely negative. When we pointed out to the waitress that something was wrong, the lady became unfriendly, really rude and tried to twist the words in my wife's mouth, which is not possible at all. whereupon we stopped eating. Going to the restaurant, it is located in a pedestrian zone where every centimeter is used, so it is very narrow, what we ate was ok, plates were quite clear, price/performance was borderline, service was a disaster, therefore not recommended.

You don't get what you ordered. Rip-offs

Since the ambience was appealing, we chose this location for lunch. The service was quick and the drinks were ordered quickly. Ordering the food was also quick. While we were waiting, we were allowed to overhear a loud, disturbing conversation. The manager of the store, at the next table, was probably philosophizing loudly with another person about whether or not to buy more houses. He can do it, no problem if he buys a hundred houses. But this nonsense is annoying! I'm on vacation and want to have some peace and quiet. And now? The food was served. Since I was raised decently, I didn't throw this back in the kitchen. Veal schnitzel with 3 mm breading on the bottom, 4 mm meat and 3 mm breading on top. Deliciously prepared in the deep fryer. Plus a potato mash, probably all the house recipes. In terms of quantity, it's more of an odeuvre than a meal. Never again!!!

Wir haben im Al Monumento mit 3 Personen zum Abendessen reserviert. Der Kellner war nett und aufmerksam. Die Karte klang lecker, auch wenn die Preise schon recht knackig für die Insel waren. Wir bestellten Carpaccio, Caprese als Vorspeise. DIe Caprese war lieblos und völlig geschmacklos. Der sehr kleine Teller war mit Tomaten, Mozzarella und einem Blatt Basilikum, thats it!. Die Tomaten billig und der Mozzarella keine Rede Wert, dafür über 14 Euro zu zahlen war schon fast unverschämt! Das Rindercarpaccio war ok aber die Portion auf einem kleinen Frühstücksteller auch für den Preis mehr als dürftig! Keine Pinienkerne, nur vollbeladen mit Rucola, ansonsten nichts! Nur Etwas Fleisch mit Öl... Als Hauptgang hatten wir Pilzrisotto: Portion sehr überschaubaur mit TK Waldpilzmischung. Die bestellte Pasta mit Steak schoß den Vogel ab. Ein Mini-Steak von "Was-auch-immer" Rind einfach nur aufgeschnitten auf einen kleinen Klecks Pasta gelegt. Keine Soße mit Geschmack, keine Liebe und eine Portion von der mach bei über 26 Euro nicht satt wurde. Bei unserem Besuch waren dann auch noch zwei Toiletten geschlossen! Einziger Pluspunkt ist die Lage. Wer lecker essen gehen möchte, geht besser in die bekannten Italienischen Restaurant der Insel oder lässt es sich woanders gut gehen!

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly. We were there early in the evening, lots of empty tables. Food came after 5 minutes, which is unfortunately how it tasted. The veal schnitzel was dry and the breading was bitter. The pork loin was flat?!, dry and fried to death. Food that takes 5 minutes to prepare can't be any different. Side dishes were lukewarm to cold. It's a shame, it used to be really good here.

I cannot confirm the sometimes exuberant reviews here. The food was quite good, but far too small in terms of size. It's not a posh Italian restaurant, which would justify the small portions. The ambience is not bad, although the space is completely used up and the seating is quite tight overall. What we noticed particularly negatively was that the service team was more concerned with speed and quick processing of guests. It was a very hectic atmosphere, the service team didn't seem really authentic and even as we were sitting, a new reserved sign was placed on our table. If you're looking for a restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and customer-oriented service, you won't find it here. We won't come back.

Ich kann die zum Teil überschwänglichen Bewertungen hier nicht bestätigen. Das Essen war ganz gut, allerdings von der Größe her viel zu wenig. Es handelt sich ja nicht um einen Nobelitaliener, was die kleinen Portionen rechtfertigen würde. Das Ambiente ist nicht schlecht, wobei der Platz komplett ausgereizt wird und man insgesamt recht eng sitzt. Besonders negativ aufgefallen ist uns, dass es dem Serviceteam eher um Geschwindigkeit und ein schnelle Abfertigung der Gäste geht. Es war eine sehr hektische Atmosphäre, das Serviceteam wirkte nicht wirklich authentisch und noch als wir saßen, wurde ein neues reserviert Schild bei uns auf den Tisch gestellt. Wer ein Restaurant mit entspannter Atmosphäre und kundenorientierten Service sucht, wird hier nicht fündig werden. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen.
