Ristorante Al Basilico in Heringsdorf

We went to the restaurant because of the good reviews and were thoroughly disappointed. I had the spaghetti with pistachio pesto, which tasted predominantly of garlic and was way too salty; I searched for the pistachios until the very end. The calzone felt like a stone in my stomach. The service was quick and courteous, which was the only positive. The tables are very close together, and the decor is nothing special. There are better restaurants in the area, which is a shame, as we were really looking forward to some delicious Italian food.

We had the Berlin pizza and the Tirana pizza, and both followed it with a chocolate mousse. I really enjoyed everything, and the service was always attentive and quick. However, if you don't like thin pizza, you might want to opt for the pasta instead.

The pizza is world-class. We'll be back in Heringsdorf tomorrow and are looking forward to the restaurant. It's a tradition to eat there at least twice a year!

Delicious food. We had pizza and lasagna with salad beforehand. The wait was impeccable. Very friendly service. We'll be back on our next visit to Usedom.

In my opinion, this restaurant doesn't have a single Italian employee. They're probably Poles. The pizza was delicious. It wasn't a stone-baked pizza, after all. The Aperol Spritz, however, was very good. I would have liked pepperoncini with it, but that wasn't known. When I left and the manager came to meet me, he didn't even say goodbye.

We spontaneously went there for dinner and found space for four people plus a stroller. The staff were very friendly, even to the children – when our little one was crying, they tried to cheer her up with a stuffed teddy bear, which was very compassionate. Otherwise, the food and drinks were served quickly, everything tasted delicious, and the prices were very fair. There are even dishes specifically labeled vegan and vegetarian on the menu. All in all, a restaurant we will definitely visit again on our next Baltic Sea vacation.

When we were at Al Basilico, it wasn't busy, but we liked the atmosphere. If there's one complaint, it's that the entrance stairs could use some updating, as they're already crumbling.

Unfortunately, our visit to this Italian restaurant was quite disappointing. Upon entering, we were greeted rather unfriendly – ​​the waiter seemed very annoyed. I had a pizza that was unfortunately completely burnt – even black in places, with burnt tomato sauce. The crust was so dry and hard that it was almost impossible to cut. I could only eat the toppings and a small slice of pizza itself. Unfortunately, we were seated in a corner, and it took forever for someone to attend to us. When I politely pointed out the burnt pizza, all I got was a curt apology and a 20% discount, which was really not a fair deal considering the quality. It's a shame, I won't be coming back.

We found the restaurant quite nice, but the outdoor area seemed uninviting. We ordered a pizza capricciosa. It was served quickly, but definitely not the best we've ever eaten. It was rather carelessly topped, very sparingly seasoned, and almost like a bad frozen pizza. To be on the safe side, they didn't even ask if we liked it. A neighboring table did ask this question; the guests were obviously not impressed with their bruschetta. A sign in front of the entrance reads: If you want pizza, move on. If you want good pizza, come in. We think moving on is the right choice. What a shame!

We got two pizzas to go and were met with very friendly service. The wait of 15-20 minutes was great. The pizzas are solid, but the dough could be more flavorful, and the extra charge for an extra topping is a bit high. The pizzeria is very nice, but what was very problematic was the parking there. There is a parking lot nearby, a 2-minute walk from the restaurant, but it is very expensive. The pizzas were served very quickly and the price was very good. We'll definitely come back again.

Perfect takeaway pizza – top quality! We ordered by phone and took our pizza to go to the beach - everything worked out great! The pizza was really tasty: a classic thin crust, baked just right and not overloaded, but tastefully and balanced with toppings - that's exactly how it should be! The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and the service was very friendly - we will definitely stay there next time. Clear recommendation for all pizza fans in the area!

However, if you ask for gluten-free pasta, the service shouldn't make a face. The food came quickly, but wasn't more than good. The lasagne plate wasn't clean, it had splatters of tomato sauce everywhere and the pasta with shrimp was just ok. We wouldn't come again In terms of price, the offer was very fair. However, there are no olives or anything else beforehand and not even something small like an espresso on the house despite a large tip. But this is just a note.

Jedoch wenn man nach glutenfreien Nudeln fragt sollte der Service nicht das Gesicht verziehen. Das Essen kam schnell , war aber nicht mehr als gut . Der Teller der Lasagne war nicht sauber, er hatte Spritzer der Tomatensauce überall und die Nudeln mit Garnelen waren auch nur ok. Wir würden nicht nochmal kommen Preislich war es sehr fair vom Angebot . Es gibt jedoch auch keine Oliven oder Sonstiges vorher und auch nicht trotz hohen Trinkgeld was kleines wie einen Espresso aufs Haus . Dies ist aber nur eine Anmerkung .

Today we were here for the third time. I ordered the starter of goat cheese gratin with rocket and beetroot. I got red cabbage with red onions. When I asked where the rocket and beetroot were, there was no answer. Only: Koch forgot. No excuse. Instead price reduced and settled. Not a nice word. I don't like being made fun of. I would have preferred honesty. Or a bowl of beetroot afterwards. It's a shame, but good service can be different!

Delicious little pizzeria. I haven't eaten such delicious pizza for a long time. We were lucky that the pizzeria was still open on Monday. From Tuesday until the end of December it is closed due to company holidays.

A small but nice Italian here in Heringsdorf. The ambience is sober Italian, even if the service doesn't really come from Italy, but at which "Italian" in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is that the case. The food was really delicious, and the seasonal pumpkin soup was also up there with others. The pizza tasted very good and the service was also ok. The opening times from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. are a bit unusual but are probably quite common in Usedom in the low season.

I cannot recommend this Italian. The service is poor and the staff isn't the friendliest either. We had to wait a long time for our drinks (approx. 15 minutes), then they were still warm at 31 degrees outside, so there was no refreshment and we waited almost an hour for the food. The place wasn't even full. Once and never again.

First we tried to register by phone. However, after “4 children” they simply hung up. We decided to give it a try anyway. We were there as a couple with 4 children. At first only my friend including a child went up the steps and asked for a table. And was rejected straight away, even though there were still free tables outside. Justified by the statement that she had no chairs at the tables. However, they were stacked on the edge. Since it was taking longer, I decided not to wait on the sidewalk with the other three children any longer. It was obvious that after the employee saw that we were neatly dressed and not sandy (my guess), she changed her mind. Suddenly we could have had separate tables. When I asked if we could put two tables together, I was told no. We were then offered sliced ​​pizza to take away. Since everyone was hungry, we accepted that. The pizza was normally good, but the toppings were a bit poor. Apparently not a child friendly restaurant. So anyone who doesn't like children seems to be in good hands here.

Die Pizzeria liegt etwas abseits und hat vielleicht nicht das schickste Interieur. Dafür ist das Essen hervorragend, der Service ist sehr freundlich und die Preise sind für Usedom wirklich moderat. Besonders die Pizzen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Der Teig ist super - dünn und knusprig und es gibt interessante Varianten. Außerdem sind alle Pizzen gut belegt, nicht nur eine Hauptzutat und eine lange, aufpreispflichtige Liste mit Extras.

There were four of us, a large pizza, pasta carbonara, pasta scampi and pasta without anything for the little man. 3 cocktails, 1 Cola and 1 Kiba, the 80€ was justified and well deserved for the delicious food and for the crew from Al Basilico. The Al Basilico is typically Italian furnished and simply warm. That wasn't the last time we ate with you.🥰😍 We didn't either, so we made a reservation for the next day and then had another heavenly meal. Something different this time. The food is ok. It is not however worth 80 minutes waiting we experienced. Pizza is not supposed to take an hour to make, nor is pasta. Funnily enough, when I chose a main from the menu, the waiter warned me it would take about 20 minutes, so I switched to a pizza. Apparently, I misread the warning. 20 minutes would have been much, much faster than the pizza. Pity.

We came here because of the good reviews for the pizzas and unfortunately we can't entirely share the praise. The base is nice and thin and crispy, but the topping is quite sparse and bland. This is mainly due to the uncut tomato sauce, no herbs in it, just 9 small slices of salami on the 32 cm pizza and little cheese. The furnishings are quite sparse for a tourist restaurant but ok. Can you do more with it? Praise to the staff and the really quick preparation.

We went here during our vacation based on the good reviews. We sat outside. The restaurant was currently averagely busy (Sunday evening). I didn't find the atmosphere that appealing. The view of the adjacent courtyard/parking lot doesn't leave a good impression (everything seems like "not finished" or "best times are over"), at first glance it just doesn't look inviting. We were a little less lucky with the service than other tables; ours seemed strained and unfriendly. Everyone has a bad day, I understand, but it was very noticeable because the other ladies were very friendly and accommodating. The food was between very good and ok. Starter: Bruschetta (good) Main courses: Spaghetti with shrimp and spinach (ok) Pizza DIAVOLA (very good, not as spicy as expected) Espresso after dinner: unfortunately below average (cold, no crema + no aroma, seemed more like capsule coffee) All in all: maybe we just weren't lucky that one evening or we're already too "spoiled" by better food, ambience and service. I wouldn't go there again and can't recommend the restaurant either.
