I went here to eat and well, what can I say? I ordered a burger and the waitress brought me one with cheese even though she hadn't even asked. Well, I didn't want to be so petty and called the waitress back. Well, that was wrong and that was my downfall. The waitress would rather throw the food away. Well, in future I'll say it straight away, even though it's food waste. Never again will I go to this place. I don't need to be ripped off by the blonde lady.

Great food. The best curry wurst. The worst service ever. You have to beg for making an order.

I was greeted very nicely here and served in a very pleasant and friendly manner. The food tasted just as I had hoped. I have absolutely nothing to complain about and I'm surprised at some of the bad reviews here. Of course the restaurant is in the train station and the ambience is appropriate, but it's good that there is such a quiet restaurant in the train station! You can sit here in peace, the toilets are clean. Price-performance ratio is right. If I'm passing through again, I'll be happy to come back to the boat. 🙂

We came here in the morning to bridge the waiting time for our train and were pleasantly surprised. Both the Metthappen with bread and the meatball with rolls were very tasty and the tapped Alt was served quickly. Good value for money.

We wanted to have a little something to eat and drink on Saturday evening. The restaurant wasn't full, there were two waitresses. After drawing our attention several times, we were asked for drinks and they came quite quickly. After ordering our food, we had to wait a full 45 minutes only to find that they had neglected to pass our order on to the kitchen. While we were waiting, we observed that 6 other guests had come but then left the restaurant because they simply weren't being served. An absolute no-go this evening 😡 But apparently nothing wants to be earned there...

Well, I would have liked to eat there, the waitress had already seated me at a table - unfortunately it was 6:10 p.m. when I was informed that the kitchen closes at 6 p.m. I didn't expect that.

We were looking for a place to eat something delicious, we ended up getting lost at the station looking for it because it is not in the correct location on Google Maps, the food is basic, the meat is good, the typical frozen potatoes, otherwise quite lousy, the service bad, We were served by a woman, very dry and unpleasant, I will not repeat if I pass by there again. They neither understand you nor do they want to understand you

Perfect for a stay to tide you over until departure or a nightcap after arrival. Service is quick, friendly and therefore efficient. Always happy 😀

According to the menu, sweet breakfast: 1 croissant, 1 roll, butter and jam There was no croissant (well, there are a lot of bakeries around, so you might not buy them there) but okay, you got 2 rolls Nutella not there either Add 20 grams of butter and 28 grams of jam. For two rolls. Price 7 euros. Totally exaggerated and overpriced. One service. Coffee was okay.

Had dinner there today and had a mixed impression. According to the menu there are things like oxtail soup or Flönz and and and... On site there are things like burgers or breaded schnitzels with sauce, so completely disappointing! Ok, hungry, so just ordered the burger. According to the menu, this is served with various sauces that you can make yourself. Effectively you get a red and a white bag each. The burger, although well made, is otherwise dry. Fries ok. The problem in the restaurant is not the staff, but the landlord and only he! A single waiter runs the store and the buffet! A single chef cooks and has to serve what he cooks! The landlord constantly thanks you for the feedback here and promises improvement. But improvement can only come with enough staff and a return to a decent menu. I can also eat a burger at the golden Möve next door! Food: acceptable. Prices: cheap. Staff: Great! Landlord: Slowly but steadily running the place down. Too bad!

Like many people, I was there because I wanted to pass the waiting time at the train station and it was very cold outside. The place is very cozy and initially nice and warm. Since the waitress didn't register me after a long time, I went to the counter and ordered an Alt. That came soon and was nice and cold and delicious! Unfortunately, after a short time both entrance doors were open and it was unpleasantly drafty and cold. When I asked the waitress why, she replied, “Because it’s so warm.” I said that was why I came in and that it was comfortable. Her answer was: “But not when you’re working!” The customers don’t seem to be that important. It's probably a tavern and not an inn.😉

If I could give no stars, I absolutely would. We walked in and asked for a table for two. The waitress rudely said just pick a table. Fair enough, we don't know the system here, so maybe that's why she was rude. We seated, and she came and basically threw the menu at us. Later, she came back to the table and grunted at us. So with that, I asked, "Do you speak English, or do I need to get my translator out?" She grunted and walked away. She arrived back at the table; I again asked, "Do you speak English to which she said no. So I spoke into my translator, asked a question, and turned the phone to her for her to see what it said in German. At this point, she walked away without even looking at the translator. Later, she came back to the table to take our order. I opened my translator, and she just pushed it away from me and asked what we wanted. We placed our order. She later came and dumped our drinks down, which were only half full. Our food was launched at us. My sons curry sauce nearly spilt onto his lap, and she threw the plate at him. I asked for condiments, and she just walked away. I followed her and asked in front of other staff and her answer was I gave them to you. I said you did not check the table. Other people on other tables looked at her at this point, and she handed me the condiments and said thank you but then threw me the worst look ever. She then continued to give me horrible looks throughout the whole time we ate our meal. A different gentleman came to take our plates away. He asked my son if his was OK but ignored me. I asked for the bill and also said the lady was rude and needed better customer service skills. He did not even allow me to finish my sentence before walking away. He came back, gave the bill to my son, and didn't look at me once. Yet the lady waitress was still walking around, giving me horrible looks at every opportunity she had. Overall... No, I would not recommend it. Food was basic. Customer service was absolutely diabolical. We also witnessed her be rude to the Chinese family on the table nest to us. So my guess is.. Maybe they don't like tourists?!? Oh, and the toilets.. What an experience. I am not one to take my phone to the toilet but did feel like going back to take a snap. The smell was so bad in there that once you had been in, you needed to leave the place immediately to get the smell from your nose. Had I gone into the toilets before eating, I can rest assured I would have left immediately.

I had about an hour at the train station, so I thought I'd go and have a nice meal while I was there. After about 20 minutes in which there was simply no service, I went and quickly got something from the Frittenwerk. It's a shame, I was happy to have discovered a brewery in the train station, but apparently they weren't looking forward to me and from reading the reviews, it doesn't seem like this has happened for the first time.

Ambience as usual in breweries, food was good, crispy fries. However, the service was unreasonable, we were asked what we wanted 4 times within 5 minutes but we didn't receive any cards. When I picked them up from the counter myself, the wrong drinks were delivered to us and then the mayo was forgotten for both dishes, but the bill was still charged... Unfortunately, it's a shop to get used to.

This shop was recommended by a blog that came up in a Google search. The thin German-style pork cutlet was crispy and delicious! The fries were quick, and the ones that weren't fried were fried with onions and bacon, which were also delicious. The beer was also quite delicious. There is also a proper restroom inside the shop, so we recommend taking a break before changing trains.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about food or drinks as we weren't served. Apparently we didn't correspond to the desired clientele (metal outfits), so after a squeezed out good evening from the waitress we were ignored. The order from a group of older women who arrived well after us was taken and processed immediately. Perhaps a list of desired guests would be helpful.

The charmless ambience and all-metal toilets are reminiscent of a train station that only exists because there is no good alternative. The clumsy service is unfriendly and, after serving two schnitzels with a side dish that were probably completely prepared in the deep fryer, but which were too expensive and mainly tasteless, they forget to bring cutlery despite walking past several times, which for me shows constant inattention and disinterest in the well-being of the customers only emphasized because he then stood comfortably at the counter. Only after loud calls asking if we could please have cutlery did he move slowly and annoyedly in our direction. It's sad to see how a once good restaurant seems to be systematically run down...

We visited twice within 10 days, once upon departure and once upon arrival, both times we were very pleased with the service; The meatball with the wholemeal bun was a delicious accompaniment to the well-tapped Pilsner. There is a deduction for the toilet, where the staff has to check every now and then if, for example, the wastebasket is overflowing.

Coasters thrown on the table like a frisby, not a nice look when you take too long to choose, receipt thrown on the counter, no really providing for the service is not worth more than 2 euros and again I'm nice, the meal was ok

Every single glass we received was completely filthy. Not just water stains. The previous woman's lipstick was still stuck to mine. Just wanted to have a drink before the train arrived and that was a really unpleasant experience. the 1 star rating because something like that is a no-go. Must see when preparing the drinks.

Incredibly strong and capable staff when it comes to being as unimpressed and bored by guests and their job as possible. The name is apt because that's pretty much how it smells. The Spezi was particularly convincing due to the absence of carbon dioxide. The “current news” was about as punctual as Deutsche Bahn and was around 3 years old.

Used to be a great restaurant. Yesterday I was there: disaster! There were probably 15 people sitting there without drinks. All the empty glasses from the previous guests were still spread out on the sticky tables Instead, the service calmly cleans the coffee machine. Ready food for other guests is left under the heat lamp for 10 minutes. After 20 minutes without service we left.

The restaurant had in total around 8 customers, yet the toilet looked like super dirty. Are you really that busy that you can’t clean the toilet at least once a day? Total 1.5 stars

Prices are okay. Not everything else. Staff seems listless and rude throughout. Had to wait over 20 minutes before we were served and another 30 minutes before we could pay, even though it really wasn't full. Never again!!1

Prices for the beer are completely ok. Unfortunately, waitresses were an absolute disgrace. Slow and above all very unfriendly. A pity.

Previously, this has been an original Düsseldorf Pub, where you were able to eat local specialties such as "Himmel and Ääd". Unfortunately, the pub has been sold recently. And the new owner changed the menu to standard food - losing its local soul over it. Watch out for the very rude service. Depending on the team, you can be treated very unwelcome & aggressively. I left the place instantly and preferred to dine somewhere else.

It’s the best place at Düsseldorf Railway Station 🚉 to have lunch! Honestly, it’s just way better than to go to Mac Donald’s or something. Freshly prepared, warm traditional German food. Simple and delicious 🤤 I had two portions of that soup just because it reminded me of some homemade soup I had in my childhood. Absolutely best experience on my way in Germany 🇩🇪❤️

We always enjoy being there again. Friendly service, decent food and (unfortunately) Frankenheim on tap. But that's a matter of taste! It's also great to watch the hustle and bustle in the train station. The photo is from the men's toilet.😉 The toilets should be overhauled. The urinals are water-free. It sometimes smells very unpleasant. In general, the donkey steel ambience is not nice and requires enormous care. We'd love to come back.

I have read through some reviews and find some of them unjustified. It is important to see the price in relation to the performance. I paid €11.90 for a Wiener Schnitzel with fries and a small salad. The small alt cost €2.80. The schnitzel and the fries were ready-made meals (probably frozen), but for the price with salad in a nice atmosphere I find it completely appropriate. The waitress was nice and served us quickly. As is so often the case, the way you call into the forest will ring out

Da wir noch auf unseren Zug warten warten mussten, gingen wir hier zum Essen. Das Ambiente geht, die Toiletten dreckig und schrecklich. Das Personal na , ja und das Essen ist war nicht zu emphatisch. Am besten schnell vorbei gehen und das Restaurant nicht besuchen!

When in Dusseldorf Hbf I often walked past this place but always heading elsewhere. Love a station pub. Too much expanse of window glass for my liking but the massive barrel is amusing. A very solid albeit limited selection of beers but crowned by a delicious Frankenheimer Alt. Friendly service. Must pop in again.

There wasn't much going on on Sunday morning, so the waitress came quickly. We received friendly service throughout. Hot drinks and the “French breakfast” were tasty. There is a deduction for the prices: despite the current situation and the fact that we are in the train station, EUR 4.60 for a croissant with a piece of butter and jam is very expensive. Especially since there is no real effort involved in preparing it. A total of over 20 EUR for three small hot drinks and two croissants is one word, I think.

It was my first time there on a layover - and the last time. I absolutely cannot recommend the restaurant. It was almost empty, but the waitress was unfriendly and reluctant to take my order. I ordered a drink and the Strammen Max. I received very cheap bread from the discounter with 2 small fried eggs and the cooked ham was also one of the cheapest types - I would have expected a little more for the price. A good bread in particular would have enhanced the dish. Very disappointing. When I wanted to pay, I had to remind the waitress three times. She neither asked if she liked it nor thanked me for the tip, which I gave anyway out of politeness. Never again!

Great food! - Schnitzel Horrible staff's manner one waitress who serve pur table speak rudely to us and when she served she hit the plate / cutlery hard (I always understand hardly like this sometime that possible with silverwear and plate but this compared to my experience in europian restaurant in europian country, this is significantly intentionally rude toward us) . When we ask (both in German and English) She seems do not want to answer, quickly explain (with the voice and face expression that showed she is annoyed) and want to leave. I compared this to the other table that she take care / when she talked with her colleague and she can smile / talk nicely - we are asian by the way. (Can I consider this as a racist?) Sadly even the food is awesome (The fisrt Schnitzel that I totally love it!!!) but I will never go there again. So try the food with our own risk!

Für abends an einem Bahnhof wirklich top, da hab ich schon in "richtigen" Brauhäusern deutlich schlechter gegessen. Ich glaube die ganzen negativen Kommentare über den Service kommen von Leuten auf der Durchreise, die nicht mit rheinischer Brauhauskultur vertraut sind, da gehört ein rauer Ton dazu.

Urige Bahnhofgaststätte (mitten im Bahnhof) mit kleiner Speisekarte! Das Essen war richtig lecker, endlich mal wieder gut gewürztes Essen und ordentliche Bratkartoffeln! Die Dame vom Service war sehr nett!

WORST SERVICE EVER. I asked to waiter(middle aged man with glasses) to check and he came with recipes, so I said that I’d like to pay with card. In that second, the waiter strongly said “then you should say that first!!!!!!!!”,i was confused and so surprised, so I couldn’t say nothing but I’d say he had no right to say that strongly, because it was not only my mistake, he must ask that when I asked check.I will NEVER go again.

A short flight from Manchester Airport to Dusseldorf Airport, a quick train transport to Dusseldorf Hauptbahnhof and we were in need for a beer before booking into our hotel and a visit to Zum Schiffchen was a great option,been to this cute little pub in the railway station lots of times,always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. A great looking pub ,interior is superb, light and airy, a cool looking serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its just a great pub to unwind in. We grabbed a table were a very pleasant member of the bar team served us a delicious altbier ,these beers were served in excellent condition being iced cold, we chilled out and looked forward to our holiday in Dusseldorf for the Christmas markets . A big fan of this very famous Dusseldorf beer,its dark,slightly malty,hoppy and very drinkable indeed, its just a totally refreshing brew. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Zum Schiffchen is easy to locate on Konrad-Adenauer Platz. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 7am till late . Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

After travelling from Düsseldorf Airport me and my twin brother went to this restaurant inside Düsseldorf Haupbahnhof and had a few beers.Restaurant Zum Schiffchen is an excellent restaurant and pub that offer's a good food and drink's range and when we visited here it was very busy. Restaurant Zum Schiffchen has a fantastic interior with nice fixtures and features and superb light fittings throughout the interior and great seating options.There are some nice features In here such as a huge barrel that looks brilliant. We visited here early in the afternoon on a freezing cold day and this place was really busy.We took a seat and one of the waiters took our order.When we visited the we had a Frankenheim brewery Altbier which were served in perfect condition and where well priced. This is a brilliant restaurant and pub that's in a superb area of Düsseldorf and is easy to locate as its the main train station. This is my 1st the review of Restaurant Zum Schiffchen). Bei Zwischenaufenthalten, aber auch so kehre ich ganz gern hier ein. Das Essen ist schmackhaft und günstig. Salat immer frisch und mit leckerem Dressing. Aber Achtung: wer zum Zug muss, sollte sehr, sehr früh die Rechnung ordern und lieber ein Bier weniger trinken. Die Toilettenräume waren sauber. Neben dem Waschbecken wäre ein Abfalleimer ohne Deckel sinnvoll. Die Gästinnen vor mir warfen ihre benutzten Papierhandtücher auf den geschlossenen Eimer.

Zojuist hier iets gedronken. Ben niet gewend om een review te schrijven maar wilde het belangrijkste delen namelijk dat we bot zijn behandeld en we meer hebben betaald onder druk van de serveerster.

Gutes Bahnhofsrestaurant mit netter Bedienung und regionalem Bier. Ideal zum überbrücken von Wartezeiten am Bahnhof. Das Ambiente ist eher laut und kneipenartig, das stört aber nicht wirklich. Kleine Karte mit einfachen Gerichten die gut zum Bier passen. Die Preise sind völlig moderat und angemessen. Hier kann man gut einkehren.

Sehr asoziales Verhalten gegenüber Kunden. Ich wollte gerne auf die Toilette und eine ausländische Mitarbeiterin hat mich sehr abwertend behandelt. Sie meinte ich soll doch zu McDonald’s gehen oder mir in die Hose machen. Ich wollte sogar zahlen aber sie hat mich von oben herab behandelt und mich gemustert. So ein drecksladen gehört zugemacht. Hoffentlich geht ihr pleite.

Ich habe gestern ihre Toilette benutzt,obwohl ich nicht bei ihnen Kunde war.Es ist nicht ausgeschrieben das ich das nicht darf!!!!!!! Vor mir waren auch andere von draußen bei ihnen auf der Toilette!!!!!!Da ich niemanden als Service gesehen habe,wollte ich wieder gehen,als ich wieder raus ging wurde ich an der Türe dann von einer sehr unfreundlichen Bedienung aufgefordert 1Euro zu bezahlen.Sie behandelte mich als ob ich ihre Kasse geklaut hätte.Ich habe bezahlt,aber wie man mit einem umgegangen wird,unmöglich von dieser Mitarbeiterin.Mich werden sie in ihren Laden nicht mehr sehen.Menschlichkeit ist alles!!!!!!!!!

Das Personal ist sehr unfreundlich, keine Begrüßung, stattdessen gab es direkt eine Belehrung und das nach gut 10 Minuten Wartezeit! Eine Karte gab es dann auch nur auf Nachfrage, die Bestellung konnten wir dann nach weiteren 10 Minuten Wartezeit aufgeben. Leider gab es keinen Kakao!😔 auf ein Tschüss warteten wir beim und nach dem bezahlen vergebens!😏

Diese Woche begleitete ich mein Opa und mein Cousin zum Bahnhof, wo wir aufgrund einer 30-minütigen Zugverspätung Zeit zum Überbrücken hatten. Wir entschieden uns, in diesem Restaurant einzukehren, um etwas zu trinken und zu entspannen. Ich war vom Service sehr schockiert. Als mein Opa die Toilette aufsuchen wollte, fragte ich höflich die Kellnerin ( dunklen Hautton) nach dem Weg dorthin. Leider reagierte sie sehr unfreundlich und erklärte, dass die Toiletten nur für Gäste seien. Mein Opa benötigt etwas mehr Zeit auf der Toilette aufgrund seiner gesundheitlichen Verfassung, aber die Kellnerin schien darauf zu bestehen, dass wir eine Bestellung aufgeben, bevor er zurückkommt, obwohl ich ihr mitteilte, dass ich gerne auf meinen Opa warten möchte. Zudem legte sie die Speisekarte mit einem unsanften Klatsch auf den Tisch, was die Situation noch unangenehmer machte. Insgesamt fühlten wir uns in diesem Restaurant sehr unwillkommen. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass die Kellnerin aufgrund meines Kopftuchs am Kopf rassistische Vorurteile hatte. Dies ist sehr enttäuschend und sollte in einem gastfreundlichen Umfeld nicht toleriert werden.

Die Bedienung war unterirdisch… sehr unfreundlich. Wir wurden direkt gefragt, ob wir uns nicht an einen Stehtisch begeben können. Kein Lächeln oder annähernd eine positive Attitüde. Als wir das verneint haben, da wir vernünftig essen wollten, wurden wir einem anderen Tisch „zugewiesen“. Dort saßen aber noch zwei Damen. Das war aber egal. Unsere Getränke wurden wortlos an den Tisch gebracht, sodass wir uns zu den Damen gesellen „mussten“. Das Essen kam dann auch ohne Kommentar und wurde nur abgestellt. Keine Möglichkeit, nach Mayo zu fragen. Das Essen selbst war für den Preis sogar ok, obwohl die Portion hätte größer sein können. Aber wie man hier abgefertigt wird, macht alles kaputt.

La comida estuvo bien, pero nada desmótelo mundo, pero la mesera fue muy mal educada, ni siquiera dijo buenos días y nos dijo directamente, pueden buscar una mesa….. no entiendo porque esa actitud? El lugar ni siquiera estaba lleno 🤦🏻‍♀️ cuando el lugar está lleno de justicia el tener Stress, me da lástima porque el mesero que trajo la comida fue a amable, pero la mesera no 🙄😡

Honestly we didn’t eat anything here. Because we waited 15 minutes to order, when we tried to get waiter’s attention, we got shouted at. So they may have great food and beer but I don’t think it worths that kind of attitude.

Das Essen zeugt von derartig schlechter Qualität. Das Personal ist leider ebenso inkompetent. Wirklich sehr enttäuschend..

Super freundliches Service-Personal! Und das Essen? Ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - würde man im HBF nicht vermuten. Allerdings wird die nette Atmosphäre durch Reisende, die bereits genug "getankt" haben bzw. "vorglühen" getrübt. Aber, die bleiben nicht so lange. Alles im allem: Daumen hoch!

Leckeres Essen Am besten wären der Service und die leckeren Bratkartoffeln. Danke für die tolle Bewirtung.

Erstaunlich ruhig trotz all der Bewegung in der Bahnhofshalle. Aufmerksames und nettes Service, gutes bidenständiges Essen, gutes Bier.
