We had a wonderful evening. A great spot by the window with a view of the sunset. The service consists of young people. They had everything well under control. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed the food. It was well prepared and seasoned.

Soooo friends....great place, friendly staff... We just had a drink. The beer "White Dune" was sold to us as a local beer... but unfortunately it comes from Swabia according to the label on the bottle... what a shame...

Just like the next table, it took about 20 minutes. waited to order. Apparently only one employee could do this, but she preferred to have a longer conversation. We left again and had to hear from a waiter that we were unfriendly. Unfortunately, you're sitting on the high horse here, which is also reflected in the absurd prices.

Such a great restaurant in a beautiful setting. Great furnishings both inside and out. Comfortable chairs and large tables provide space for food. Here you really get decent portions for your money. I don't even need to talk about deliciousness and taste here, kudos to the kitchen! Everything is fresh, tastes excellent and is so attractively arranged. The waitresses are on the ball, super friendly and simply helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stop here again on our next vacation

Super great restaurant, can't rate the food, I just drank something

Great location, great ambience and great service. The prices are typically Norderney exaggerated, but the restaurant is full and therefore the prices are right. Water 0.7l for 9 euros and currywurst/chips (yes in classy) for 19.50 euros - you have to know that. The food tastes good and is well prepared. But: children's food was loveless - schnitzel was tough and dry, spaghetti with tomato sauce was also dry (the sauce might have passed for a “hint of sauce”). This means that I'm not allowed to come back any time soon - my children don't want to. It's a shame, colored pencils and a painting surface are no longer enough.

Food okay for the price (€19.50 for currywurst with a normal portion of fries and truffle mayo) Staff overwhelmed, interior unbearably warm (oven on in summer), outdoor seating unfortunately not really clean (table sticky), we waited a long time until we paid could.

We liked the food and atmosphere. However, the excessive drinks prices ruin the experience. 9 euros for a bottle of water is simply absurd and a rip-off, even if you can afford it.

Today as a snack stop: delicious potato soup with rose wine and coffee with milk with strawberries/ice cream and cream, everything as delicious as always in a great ambience!

The food, service and ambience are outstanding! Unfortunately, over the years, the restaurant for families has increasingly become a trendy meeting place with corresponding prices. Anyone who has the necessary money will feel very comfortable here.

A great location with a great atmosphere and a fantastic location. We didn't eat anything, just drank something because the kitchen had just closed. A wheat beer for €6.90 is not cheap but still reasonable given the location and location. But charging €8.50 for a blackcurrant spritzer is, to say the least, an impertinence. This price is disproportionate and is simply a tourist rip-off. The price certainly won't kill us, but it leaves a really bad aftertaste... It's a shame actually...

Yesterday the three of us were in the "Weiße Düne" restaurant at lunchtime and experienced irritatingly impudent, diva-like behavior from a waiter. Without giving us the card, he came to our table and wanted to take the order. He was loudly upset that we were telling him said "no hello" after greeting us. When we tried to appease and calm him down with humor, he didn't stop being loudly indignant, handed us the card, put on the mask of an insulted-unfriendly person and took the order. The waiter would like to be a “waiter with esprit”, which is completely wrong. It is recommended that he change his job because he forgets that his job is to serve the guests and not to educate them. At a time when there is a shortage of wait staff in the catering industry, it is not surprising that something so unprofessional and tactless would happen in a restaurant. We just wanted to eat and also had to watch the play Watch "I'm the waiter here". The meal was okay. Otherwise the service was courteous and polite.

The White Dune is absolutely amazing with great food and very good service. The location is great and makes the visit a special experience. We'd love to come back!

The schnitzel was very good and the pieces of cake were not only big but also really tasty. Staff friendly, great atmosphere, felt extremely comfortable!

We arrived twice this week shortly before 10 p.m., an hour before closing time, and were turned away quite immediately both times, even though we clearly communicated that we just wanted a drink. We didn't feel welcome here

Serving Aperol in Ikea glasses that already look milky is a no-go for me. We asked customer service about it, who have probably heard this before and passed it on. Otherwise everything is ok. Card payment possible.

Very friendly service and super delicious food

Wow, I didn't expect that from a tourist bar. The staff was on point, the kitchen not only had an eye for esthetics, but the taste was excellent 👌. The fish soup was also exactly right, not overly seasoned as is often the case. Super tasty 👍🏆

You can sit really comfortably in the fireplace room, as well as on the terrace and otherwise there is rustic furniture if you want to sit and eat "properly". We were recommended the strawberry crumble, which was very tasty.

Nice food, friendly staff, nice location. We came in after a walk along the beach and were very happy about our late lunch here. The place is a bit hidden in the dunes, so you won't get the beach view as in some other places, but that's the only downside there is. The place is cozy and nicely decorated as well

Excellent wine advice, nice ambience, nice service, but who combines truffled porcini mushroom ravioli with Asian vegetables in a sweet and sour chili sauce on a plate and then puts a salad with raspberry vinaigrette on top? It tastes something like chocolate-covered sushi served in a taco... a completely crazy combination that leaves you pretty stumped.

Absolutely overpriced restaurant. Very noisy inside and not comfortable. The outside terrace is usually overcrowded as there is hardly any competition nearby. Given the prices, you can eat much better in other stores. But the service is very friendly.

The food, service and ambience are simply first class. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back.

Dream location on the beach, nice restaurant

As far as beach restaurants on the island go, this is a solid choice. We had a 6:30 dinner reservation and were seated promptly. The staff seems a little disorganized, but overall well meaning and kind. Our waitress easily handled English (not all do) and she was knowledgeable about my gluten free options (also, not all do here in Germany). In our party we had the schnitzel (delicious), and two wonderful fish dishes. One special over puréed veg with ratatouille. The olive tapenade and bread selection were excellent (as well as a pumpkin seeded option for me). The atmosphere was rustic. The back of the restaurant closest to the beach had a cool fireplace that would be perfect for after dinner drinks. Details were fun, right down to the pony hair placemats. Worth the trip out to Wieße Düne!

Hier merkt man, dass die Restaurantleitung den Laden im Griff hat. Ob nun während der Hauptgeschäftszeit oder in den Nebenzeiten, hier arbeiten alle mit Begeisterung und Kundenorientierung. Das Angebot ist breit gefächert, die Küche bietet weit mehr, als der Gast von einem Strandlokal erwartet. Wohlfühlen und Genießen ist hier Programm. Eine Reservierung nach 18 Uhr ist zu empfehlen.

One thing in advance: definitely make a reservation for dinner! It is worth it .. Fine dining without a lot of frills. The individual components were very well balanced in terms of taste (saddle of lamb with mushroom gnocchi and tomato puree. The sauce served with it was a poem!). Top it off with a delicious Pinot Noir. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The prices are absolutely fine for what is on offer. Clear recommendation.

We were here last week for a long walk. They have a delicious French lemonade and the cake is also impressive. The price for a piece of cake is enormous but in the end you get a huge piece. Then it'll be fine again. The service was also very friendly. We'd love to come back.

Wir waren hier vergangene Woche mach einem langen Spaziergang. Sie haben eine mega leckere frantösische Limonade und der Kuchen kann sich auch sehen lassen. Der Preis für ein Stück Kuchen ist schon enorm aber am Ende bekommt man auch ein riesen Stück. Dann passt das schon wieder. Der Service war auch sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Atmosphäre / Location ist wunderschön in den Dünen gelegen. Jedoch das Essen ist nur mittelmäßig bei den recht hohen Preisen

We came here very spontaneously for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Super nice, fast service, cozy places with a view of the dunes and a great vegan offering. The island burger was really good! We would come back at any time.

We took a day trip to Norderney. We ended up at the Weisse Düne beach bar by chance. We sat there very nicely, the service was also very nice. There is a clear deduction for the high prices. We paid around 26 euros for 1 piece of plum cake with streusel, 1 Spezi, 1 semolina pudding with cherries and 1 glass of mint tea.

If you're looking for a quiet location, this is probably the wrong place. Well attended, the staff were very friendly, the almond crumble was excellent (although it seemed a bit thinner compared to previous years) - although there are still incorrect prices online!

Not my clientele. If you want to present yourself and be seen, you should go there. But you can see the sunset everywhere from the west beach. I think it's better to enjoy the sunset with your partner on the beach.

Our visit to the White Dune was very pleasant, the location right on the beach and the outdoor area were very inviting. One star deduction for the fact that there was no Norderneyer beer, instead we were served beer from Baden-Württemberg.

Hatten einen Tisch für abends reserviert und wollten vorher schon etwas trinken. Saßen zuerst draußen und wurden nicht beachtet. Haben uns dann reingesetzt und wurden auch dort nicht beachtet. Die Bedienungen standen teilweise quatschend rum und legten decken zusammen. Wir sind dann leider ohne Drinks gegangen und haben die Reservierung für den Abend storniert. Echt schade, da die Atmosphäre wirklich angenehm und das Essen sonst immer lecker war.

As always, a dream. To stop off in the white dune after a bike ride. The beef soup is simply delicious. This time I also tried the spicy potatoes and of course the almond cake with Frisian ice cream. On the one hand with the almond ice cream and on the other hand with grandma's vanilla pudding as ice cream. A real culinary delight. And this time we reserved a table in the evening for the first time ever.

The Vitello Tonato with baked caper apples was excellent. The main course (saddle of lamb) was a pure taste explosion. I wouldn't have expected so many components and different flavors on one plate given the description on the menu. The gnocci were the best I've ever eaten. The wine was also excellent. Even pasta with tomato sauce from the children's menu was better than any Italian restaurant I know. The Weisse Düne is definitely worth a visit for anyone who appreciates fine cuisine!

The ambience is very nice. “Rustic” yet upscale. The service is very friendly and accommodating and yet doesn't seem "aloof". The food was excellent and classed as fine dining. For starters we had Vitello Tonnato. The variation presented here was excellent and we had no complaints. I don't think you can do much better. Our main courses (beef fillet and rack of lamb) were also very delicious. Very varied side dishes, everything wonderfully tasteful and very attractive and modern. The children's meals are very inexpensive and also taste excellent. The restaurant can only be recommended and is definitely worth a visit if you appreciate good cuisine.

Nice, tasty, but completely overrated. Completely overpriced. “Island bonus” prices are pushed to the point of outrageousness.

It's a beautiful place with lots of nice people

Very nice place. Unfortunately a little overcrowded and Norderney typical prices. Still highly recommended. If you like hiking, a great path with viewpoints that can also be reached by public transport.

During a bike tour across the island, you can also stop here for a break or just buy a cold drink in the shop for a short break. The location is the bonus. Less than two minutes and you're standing on the beach for a sundowner.

Hᴇ ... right at the beginning of our first holiday on Norderney we went to the “Weisse Düne” for dinner at the weekend. We thought the atmosphere was cool, the service was top and the food was excellent. We chose the asparagus soup with a shrimp and for the main course salmon with asparagus. Felix Mayer's Pinot Gris went perfectly with it. Norderney has so much to offer in terms of cuisine, but we definitely weren't here for the last time 😊. — here: White Dune Norderney.
