Sehr lecker, Portion war aus meiner Sicht ausreichend, beim Dessert ist man auf Sonderwünsche (Kinderteller - Reibeplätzchen) eingegangen. Die Servicekraft sehr nett und auf zack... immer weiter so....

Tarte flambée and roast were very tasty, the price is ok. I found the portion size a bit small when frying. Nice atmosphere - but we were unlucky with a larger group as it was quite loud.

Excellent, creative restaurant in the city center.

Upscale ambience. Prices to match. Food was very well done and tastefully prepared. There are deficiencies in the service, as one of the 'head' waitresses (the more corpulent one) seems to have little idea about discreet service. When you enter, you start to feel like you're being scrutinized ('Do these people spend enough here?'). We were probably lucky to have passed (€94 ;-). This has to be done more discreetly (the boss was asked silently, we hadn't made a reservation)! Unfortunately, I have no idea how to take drink orders. We were asked three times what we would like to drink even though we were still reading the menu. She probably doesn't know that not all drinks go well with food. There was no question about an aperitif, nor about a degestive. Someone still has a lot to learn, even if she has the big say!

Nice restaurant, but there are also rip-offs. I drank the most expensive beer in my life here. Half a liter of Köpi for 6.80 €uro, I thought that was outrageous ☹️

Wir hatten reserviert, wurden aber im Vorraum stehen gelassen, da der Tisch "noch fertig gemacht wurde". Insgesamt fühlten wir uns nicht besonders willkommen. Die Gerichte sind recht hochpreisig angesetzt - für das, was geboten wurde. Wir werden eher nicht wieder kommen.

We had a wonderful dinner. There really is something for everyone on the menu. The vegan kale and fish fingers from Grandma's kitchen tasted excellent and the service was exceptionally attentive. Absolute recommendation from me 😀

There is smoking in the winter garden, we definitely won't eat there again, it's absolutely anti-children for us.

We were there with 8 people for a birthday party. The table was beautifully set and we received a friendly welcome. As a starter we had potato soup, which was delicious. After that, however, everything was a disaster. We ordered burgers, tarte flambée and kale. The kale seemed flabby. All burgers were well done or well done plus, even though we ordered medium and medium rare. Half had blackened buns. For a 23€ burger, I expect the cooking level to be at least about right. I returned the medium rare burger. The second burger was well done again. Then I gave up. The highlight, however, was that the tarte flambée was only brought after repeated requests and after over 20 minutes, when everyone else was almost finished.

We ordered food in the winter garden but couldn't enjoy it because new guests were smoking. Something like that no longer works in a restaurant. The hotel and restaurant is not recommended.

We were there for lunch, I had a baked potato with crabs for just under 20€.. The service was unfortunately very bad.. they didn't ask if it was tasty.. and I had a short blonde hair in the food.. When we asked if We were allowed to pay and were asked if it was ok. I said unfortunately not, I had a hair in the food and it was okay.. then the service person said “hmm ok! (according to the motto, well, what should I do now) “So I didn't really think about it at all, unfortunately for such a nice shop. We won't visit this restaurant again. It's a shame we didn't feel like we were in good hands.

We got married on Norderney and spent our wedding anniversary at the Hotel König. However, since the Inselhotel König was fully booked, we were unfortunately only able to accommodate the witnesses and our son in accommodation opposite. On the wedding day we invited the three of them to our hotel for breakfast for an additional €75. We spent around €650 in the restaurant, which was justified as everything was perfectly organized and the food was absolutely delicious. I gave the staff a tip of €50 for this. When we had a coffee with our son on the day of departure, he actually had to pay €3.50 for his coffee because he wasn't staying in the hotel, which I found quite outrageous.

The pleasant service is particularly noticeable here. Thanks Ivan :-) My wife and I were thrilled 👍👍

In the evening we had spaghetti with prawns and sea bass with a bottle of Merlot. Everything worked perfectly and was super tasty! Absolutely recommended.

Delicious cuisine and also for non-meat eaters. The only restaurant on the island that cooks and offers complete, creative and very tasty vegan dishes. I have to give a big shout out here. As a vegan, you don't just get served with fries, hummus, ready-made vegan mayo or a loveless vegetable stir-fry. The vegan kale was delicious!!! And even the non-vegan tasted delicious. Everyone has finally been thought of here! Friendly and attentive service. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back.

Very good service, well-trained staff, delicious food. Cozy location, the best price-performance ratio for breakfast. 22.50 euros and you get fresh juices, any kind of coffee or hot chocolate. Latte, espresso, etc. All you eat and drink. Fresh eggs of various kinds are available to order, etc. The fish platter is also very tasty. What you get for just under 30 euros is right in terms of price, portion size and taste. 3 types of fish fillet, North Sea crabs and mussels. Best fish platter on the island. Only available for 2 people or more and only in the evenings. The lunch menu is different

We are silent about what was done with a poor side dish of aubergine - dyke lamb and beef fillet (+ pepper sauce) were simply outstanding in every respect, a culinary experience that will be remembered, thank you very much. Absolute recommendation!

Food with a rather high price category. Overpriced in my opinion. When it comes to paying, the corpulent middle-aged lady in particular demands an even larger tip than already given when it comes to salads (!). An absurdity. Reason enough to avoid this restaurant in the future. You only do this to us once... such behavior is absolutely outrageous and massively damaging to your business.

Good food, great service at Norderney usual prices.

We were in the beer garden, beautifully located under the trees in the middle of the town with a view of the hustle and bustle in the pedestrian zone. The drinks were delicious, the service was also very friendly, unfortunately a bit overwhelmed and therefore quite slow.

We were rudely turned away by the waiter outside because of the suitcases we had brought with us. There is no place for us here. Great welcome on the island, we have just arrived.

We just had a drink. The chestnut tree on the terrace is currently dangerous because the chestnuts regularly fall from the tree. One fell on the drink and broke the glass. We received a replacement drink from the service staff without asking. Since we didn't eat anything, I can't comment on this

I ordered two types of herring. 1x was very tasty. Unfortunately there was hardly any herring in the pot. Although the taste was good, it was too expensive for mostly onions and cucumber.

Very attentive service, the food was well prepared. As a starter we had fish soup and grilled chanterelles, main course beef fillet and lamb, for dessert I had fruit: raspberry spirit. All recommended

Here you can relax and eat well. Good selection. Good service. Not too expensive. I particularly like the sourdough bread from the starter. But: medium-rare is not medium.

Pot-bellied men with paraphernalia loudly explain the world - that's pretty much the "ambience". Food and drinks are incredibly overpriced, so much so that it's funny. Vegan? Theoretically. In practice, the fish variant is delivered first, then taken away again and brought back without the fish, but with the vegan alternative. How stupid that the salad on the plate still had the dressing that comes with the fish version (and is not vegan). Yes, yes, something like that can happen (what actually? That you get caught?). But in this category and price range that doesn't have to happen! We're talking about a handful of plucked salad straight out of a bag with two fryer patties for €24.50. My advice: avoid large areas.

Were here for dinner. There was a bottle of water, 2 white wine spritzers, 1x roasted saddle of lamb and 1x grilled fillet of sea bass. The wine was recommended to us and was very good. The lamb was well roasted and tender, and tasted delicious. The sea bass was also very delicate and the dish was wonderfully rounded off. A taste experience. Thank you for the pleasant evening.

We have been visiting the Leib & Seele restaurant for many years. So far we have never been disappointed. Accordingly, I have already written a review before. See you tonight! A few days ago we were able to enjoy the super delicious tarte flambée. All good until today😔 I ordered Königsberger Klöpse and unfortunately I have to say that I was completely disappointed. The dumplings were extremely dry and tasteless. It's such a shame😔 It must also be said, however, that the fish in my husband's dish was flawless. However, I didn't find the portion (1 small hash brown as a side dish) to be adequate. The service was very good and very friendly. Conclusion: for now we're just relying on the tarte flambée outside. Unfortunately, we will refrain from making reservations in the evening restaurant for the time being.

We were here with 8 people. 7 people had a burger. Unfortunately, our overall rating is not good. The fries were all unsalted and tasted very bland. The burger patty was mostly pork. Wasn't very tasty. For a total of €23 it's too expensive.

Our waiter Martin was incredibly friendly and it was a lovely stay The burger was good Aioli was great. Highly recommended with fries I would be very happy if the dishes from the children's menu could also be ordered in adult sizes

The location is very good and the staff is friendly. The selection of dishes is manageable and appealing. We ordered the homemade potato gnocchi and basil spinach pesto. The dish tasted very tasty. Accordingly, the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine.

Die höchste Rechnung wurde uns im Leib & Seele (gehört zum Inselhotel König) ausgestellt. Tischreservierung 2 Tage vorher erfolgte problemlos. Empfang sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Schöner Tisch drinnen am Fenster. Ambiente gefiel uns sehr gut. wie auch die Aperitifs: Friesen Spritz und Lillet Wildberry. Wir bestellten als Vorspeise eine cremige Pfifferlingsuppe und als Hauptspeise Kartoffelgnocchi mit Gambas bzw. den Flammkuchen Nautik mit Räucherlachs, Blattspinat und Mozzarella. Dazu genossen wir eine Karaffe (0,5 l) Grünen Veltliner. Alles war wunderbar. Allerdings halt einen Tick teurer als in anderen Restaurants.

Top and absolutely great! A clear recommendation to eat here! We got a place at short notice and I have to say, I'm very satisfied. Great food, salad buffet a real surprise, and the food was really good! I rarely stay in a holiday resort during peak season. Eaten so well and b. Such great service was provided. A compliment goes to our waitress, Ms. Kausch or Gausch, who made the evening perfect with her professional manner and absolute child-friendliness. I would love to come back again during my vacation and am already looking forward to it!

We've actually had good experiences here, but the last stop surprised us negatively. The service was inattentive to us. The table was dirty and hadn't been wiped down. When we asked if we could get blankets, the irritating answer was: “You’ll have to take care of it yourself.” Well, yes - then the only exception is there is no tip...

Upscale restaurant with excellent food! Starter of brown bread with butter - a simple meal can be so tasty! Main course plaice fillet and tarte flambée. Both of the highest quality too! The butter potatoes stood out particularly positively! Waiting times are sometimes a bit longer, but the waitresses can't do more than work. Prices are also a little higher than standard, but quality comes at a cost. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere.

Was there for dinner with my wife. The ambience seemed very elegant. The service was very accommodating. We started with the strawberry punch as an aperitif, which we enjoyed. For the starter, my wife had the shrimp pan, which was very tasty, and I had the pickled halibut, which was really great. For the main course, we both had the fish platter. As they say, you eat with your eyes and that's true (it could have been presented more beautifully) but it's not that important to me, in the end it's the quality of the food that counts and it was good. The fish was fried to perfection and we had a bottle of white wine with it which was also delicious (good Assorted wine list).As dessert there was the crowning finale.Such a simple dish and yet super refined.Cream Brülee coconut with passion fruit ice cream.all in all an upscale good restaurant I would love to come back.

We were on vacation in Norderney. Had dinner here with my husband this evening. When we arrived we were taken to our reserved table. The service staff were very nice, accommodating, very friendly and personable. Food was super tasty. I had the shrimp pan which was very tasty. For the main course we both had the fish platter which was also very, very good 😋. The dessert, crème brulee coconut with pineapple pieces and passion fruit ice cream was also very, very good. Overall we felt very comfortable and well treated. They say it tastes best at home, and it does, but this restaurant is highly recommended away from home. We were very enthusiastic and can't understand the worse reviews. Lg

We were very disappointed, the food was half raw and the staff is from Eastern Europe and has no idea about gastronomy! It was also very expensive and they didn't care about the complaint. Never again! We have known the restaurant for many years, but total deterioration!

We treated ourselves to a sumptuous champagne breakfast. It was good and tasty, but €28 per person is a hefty price. We would have been happy about little refinements such as various homemade spreads, salads and tomato mozzarella. Service and ambience were top.

We arrived and were asked what we would like to drink without being given a menu beforehand. The waiter reacted very unfriendly and generally just seemed annoyed. The food itself was ok (flambée and baked potatoes), but very overpriced. A Lillet Wild Berry for €9 is also a bit excessive…

June 2024 Unfortunately I can't give a recommendation. We were here with 5 adults and 1 elementary school child. The waiter wasn't that attentive. There was also no explanation that certain dishes come with a salad plate and that we can put it together ourselves at the salad buffet.... 🤔 We had to ask. Unusual looking food at the salad buffet = no indication (e.g. small sign) what it is... We waited over an hour for the food!!! A challenge with a child who was relatively patient. But also very long for us. The table behind us, who came after us, had their food earlier. And the food was not commensurate with the high price!!! It wasn't anything special. The tarte flambée was much too dark on the edges, with salami = it didn't taste like tarte flambée at all; The fish itself was okay, it didn't taste like anything and had to be seasoned... Very disappointing. Age group in the restaurant = over 60 It was also quite loud (acoustic panels might be helpful) 6 main courses, 2 starters + drinks, no dessert = approx. 220€!!! Expected more for that...

Ordered a table after reservation. When we arrived we were shown to the table. Afterwards we were ignored for 30 minutes... then we didn't get any cards and we were asked what we wanted to drink and eat. Eating and drinking after 15 minutes. Food came quickly. Food was still good. But unfortunately services are part of it, especially when it's not that busy. Maybe it was an exception. Dogs were allowed, but we didn't find them welcome. (No water bowl or anything similar, we assume that's why we weren't served until later)

Food super tasty. Waiter service, well, I guess I didn't feel like it this evening. It's a good thing we didn't order dessert, the waiter says they still have five minutes then we have to clear the table 😕. It doesn't work at all.

We sat outside, which wasn't very comfortable overall. But the food was highly recommended, both the meat dishes and the vegetarian dish. The service was friendly and accommodating.

We had dinner at Leib & Seele and it was great. We were warmly welcomed and our request for sun protection was immediately fulfilled, as we only had one place left in the blazing sun and that was very unpleasant. There is also a special place for dogs where they can have a drink. There were blankets at all the places so that you could make yourself really comfortable in colder temperatures and still sit comfortably under the radiant heaters that were also available. We each had a portion of asparagus with the crispy schnitzel and I personally thought it was absolutely great. The asparagus was neither too hard nor too soft, the potatoes were nice and floury, the schnitzel was a good size and not too thick and the hollandaise was great too. We will definitely come back again!

We were at Leib&Soul 2 years ago and it was a pleasure again. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is pleasant and most importantly, the food was delicious! Don't forget that dogs are also welcome here. We would like to come again…

Im November 22 zum erstenmal hier und mehr wie zufrieden gewesen. Jetzt, also im April.... vor drei Wochen..., wollte ich natürlich wissen ob das erste mal ein "Ausrutscher" war oder nicht. Um es vorwegzunehmen: nein, war es nicht. Wieder, diesmal alleine, einen wunderbaren Abend mit einem sehr aufmerksamen Service (Natascha, Nadja ??? - Bitte verzeihen Sie mir mein schlechtes Namensgedächtnis) und sehr gutem und vor allem sehr ansprechend angerichtet Speisen verbracht. Das einzige was ich, aber nur am Rande, bemerken möchte: die Käseauswahl war etwas... sagen wir mal so: im Vergleich zur Vorspeise ( exzellentes Tatar - geschmacklich sehr gut) und dem Hauptgang (Kabeljau - in Perfektion) etwas "weit abgeschlagen" - von Präsentation bis Auswahl. Was dem Gesamtbild des Abends aber nur, wenn überhaupt von "getrübt" gesprochen werden muss, minimal gemeint ist. Herzlichen Dank für den Abend. Ich hoffe das ich in ca. 3 Wochen wieder tu Gast sein darf.

Very nicely decorated restaurant with lots of space and decoration. The design is calm and cozy. There is a wide selection of different types of food and many asparagus dishes are also available during the season. The staff is very nice and always there to answer any questions. It is recommended to reserve a table in advance.

The restaurant definitely benefits from the good location and knows how to make good use of it. The food is average at best, also in terms of size, but costs almost as much as star cuisine. Asparagus (manageable portion) for over 30 euros and vegetarian gnocchi without much (without much taste) for over 20 euros - that doesn't have to be the case. Service and ambience are good.

Absolutes no go beim Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Lieblos auf den Teller geschmissen. Ob es wirklich frisch war, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Bedienung sehr gleichgültiig.

Leider nicht lecker: die Scholle war sehr fettig, die Krabben schienen nicht ganz so frisch, die Remoulade war zwar gut aber viel zu wenig ....

Contrary to a supposedly promising recommendation, our visit to this restaurant was a bitter disappointment. The quality of the service was worryingly low in places and the value for money was simply unacceptable in many cases. We had hoped to have a pleasant evening but were sorely disappointed by lack of attention from staff and overpriced prices. Despite our original expectations, we found that this restaurant didn't live up to its reputation. We therefore cannot recommend it and will definitely not come back.

Excellent terrace for a drink in nice weather today. But watch out! You can only pay by card from €15. Welcome to 2024... If you want to pay €12, you will simply be charged €15. Still paid in cash.

My personal favorite of the hotel restaurants on the island. Very good service and incredibly tasty dishes from the upscale gastronomy at a really fair price-performance ratio. Outstanding vegan offerings and a more than extensive wine list. Do you know that moment when you leave the establishment after a successful evening in a restaurant and feel completely happy? Here you will find what you are looking for, because you are what you eat.
