Oktopussy Restaurant in Norderney

Wir waren im Urlaub zweimal im Octopussy, und beide Male war alles top. Super leckeres und mal etwas ungewöhnlich zubereitetes Essen, und wirklich guter und angenehmer Service. Ein klarer Tip.

Wie der Name schon sagt, ist der sous-vide gegarte Oktopus schon fast Pflicht. Aber auch die Gerichte vom Land wissen zu überzeugen. Zuvorkommender Service, schönes Ambiente, uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Ambiente sehr schön. Essen war in Ordnung, aber etwas versalzen/verpfeffert. Aber Service katastrophal. Wir haben eine Dreiviertelstunde auf das erste Getränk gewartet - und dann kam das falsche. :-( Auch sonst hat alles ewig gedauert.

Ein phantastisches Hotel mit sehr gutem Frühstück und Restauration.

Einen Tisch für 6 Personen um 19:00 h bestellt, wir waren pünktlich. Das Essen erhielten wir um 20:45 h, wir waren wirklich drauf und dran, das Oktopussi zu verlassen. Wasser zusätzlich bestellt, es musste mehrfach daran erinnert werden, es hieß nur, es kommt, obwohl die Kellner gar nichts zu tun hatten. Als wir unser Essen endlich erhielten, war es zum großen Teil kalt, aber geschmacklich gut abgestimmt. Wenn wir den Wein aus der Flasche nachgeschenkt bekamen, knallte der Kellner die Flasche so laut auf jedes Glas, dass wir dachten, sie zerspringen. Das Dessert haben wir uns erspart, wir wollten nicht noch einmal lange warten müssen. Uns wurde, ohne dass wir etwas sagen mussten, bei jedem Gericht ein Rabatt gewährt. Aber wir hätten lieber einen rundum schönen Abend gehabt und dann sicher auch noch mehr verzehrt. In einem von Michelin geführten Restaurant erwartet man deutlich mehr. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sowie die Selbstdarstellung des Restaurants stimmen hier auf jeden Fall nicht. Die Ausstattung und das Ambiente des Restaurants sind sehr ansprechend und modern.

Sehr enttäuschend und absolut unverständlich. Wir haben am Sonntagabend extra angerufen und gefragt, ob wir für den nächsten Morgen einen Tisch zum Frühstück reservieren können. Uns wurde gesagt, Reservierungen seien nicht möglich und wir sollten einfach vorbeikommen. Genau das haben wir getan, nur um dann vor Ort abgewiesen zu werden, weil angeblich kein Platz mehr frei sei. Wofür ruft man dann überhaupt vorher an? Diese Information hätte man uns auch direkt am Telefon geben können. So steht man am Ende umsonst dort und verliert Zeit. Service sieht definitiv anders aus.

Sehr gutes Essen, alle sehr zufrieden. Kann die Rinder(Kraft) brühe oder Linsengericht oder Octopus in verschiedenen Texturen als Vorspeise empfehlen. Hauptspeise war die Ramensuppe als vegetarisches Gericht, sehr gut

Wer einen guten Abend mit hervorragendem Essen in stilvollem Ambiente mit super Service haben möchte ist hier bestens aufgehoben! Absolute Empfehlung!

Schade, dass ein Restaurant mit so viel Potenzial so nachgelassen hat. Die Küche am Abend war leider sehr enttäuschend, und auch das Frühstück konnte in keiner Weise überzeugen. Seit dem Wechsel des Hotelmanagers scheint deutlich an der Qualität gespart zu werden. Insgesamt ein Rückschritt im Vergleich zu früher

Wir sind eher zufällig im Oktopussy gelandet und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service hervorragend. Mega nett, aufmerksam und jede Frage, wurde geduldig und ausführlich beantwortet. Die Speisen waren hübsch angerichtet und geschmacklich sehr gut. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und willkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir haben meinen Geburtstag gefeiert und der Abend war perfekt. Tolle Bedienung (freundlicher geht’s nicht!), feines Essen und ein tolles Ambiente. Der Carpaccio war sehr gut und das Tintenfisch-Trio auch (letzteres leider sehr klein). Unsere Fischgerichte (Adlerfisch und Kabeljau) waren ausgezeichnet und mit ungewöhnlichen Beilagen serviert (z.B, Fregula, Linsen), was erfreulich war. Die Flasche Spätburgunder dazu war köstlich und die geschenkte Geburtstags-Schoko-Mousse hat alles perfekt abgerundet. Danke nochmals für den schönen Abend und special thanks to Réka, die uns mit ihrer Gastfreundlichkeit wirklich verwöhnt hat!

Sehr kreatives Essen, modern und schön angerichtet!

Ein wunderbares Geschmackserlebnis, egal ob es die Kürbissuppe, oder das Roastbeef war! Der Salat/Gemüse auf dem das Fleisch lag, für mich, für den Salat ansonsten nur für's Auge ist, ein Gedicht. Vielleicht war der Spätburgunder leicht firn (etwas überlagert), störte aber meinen Eindruck nicht. Auch der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Keine langen Wartezeiten. Preise absolut angemessen für die Leistung. Der Betreiber sollte mal über die Bestuhlung nachdenken. Wir sahen etwas neidisch zu den Gästen auf den Bänken hin. Die Stühle sind für große Menschen ( ab 185 cm) unbequem, da die kurze Rückenlehne gerade bis zur Rückenmitte reicht. Richtig übel wird es Gästen ergehen, die etwas adipös sind; schon wir als ältere 'Normalgewichtige' fühlten uns von den unnötig hohen seitlichen Stuhleinfassungen 'berührt', wenn auch noch nicht gestört. Wie peinlich für betroffene Gäste, nicht sitzen zu können und ggf. gehen zu müssen. Solange wir nicht zu oft so gut essen wie gestern im Oktopussy, können und werden wir wiederkommen!

Leider muss ich hier eine sehr schlechte Bewertung für den Service reinstellen. Wir haben am 30.7.2025 einen Tisch für Silvester reserviert und bestätigt bekommen. Am 29.12.2025 wurde uns dieser ohne Gründe storniert. Keine feine Art! Ich wünsche trotzdem einen schönen Übergang ins nächste Jahr und vielleicht einen besseren Umgang mit Gästen 🍀😉😔

Extrem schlechter Service! Wir haben im Oktober einen Tisch für Silvester reserviert und 2 Tage vorher eine Stornierung unserer Reservierung erhalten. Angeblich wurde im November bereits eine Mail rausgeschickt, dass es ein Silvestermenü zum Festpreis gibt. Wir haben nichts erhalten. Jetzt ist alles ausreserviert. Keinerlei Entgegenkommen, äußerst schlechter Kundenservice. Warum wurde das Reservierungssystem nicht für Silvester blockiert??? Nirgends auf Norderney ist mehr ein Tisch zu bekommen, aber das ist dem Herren dieses Restaurants egal. Eine Frechheit!!!

Ein traumhafter Abend, fantastisches Essen

Im Oktopussy stimmt einfach alles. Kreative Küche, tolle Produkte, perfekte Zubereitung. Die Teller sind geschmacklich klar, sauber gearbeitet und schön angerichtet. Die beiden Herren im Service liefern Spitzenklasse, freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr professionell. Für alle, die auf Norderney richtig gut essen wollen. Klare Empfehlung.

Waren hier aus Neugier und wurden optisch sowie geschmacklich komplett vom Hocker gehauen. Ist auf jeden Fall ein richtiges Erlebnis hier mal vorbei zu schauen. 🤤

In unseren Urlaub haben wir doch einige Restaurants ausprobiert. Das Oktopussy war unser absolutes Highlight. Hier gibt es wirklich tolle und spannende Gerichte mit kreativ kombinierten Zutaten. Wer etwas besonderes sucht, und das nicht zu Sternepreisen, ist hier richtig! Ab 2026 wird wohl das Konzept geändert und man möchte es etwas weniger „luxuriös“ und mehr für die breite Masse. Aus unserer Sicht sehr schade, aber wir drücken alle Daumen, dass alles klappt wie gewünscht. Wir kommen garantiert wieder und hoffen auf das passende Wetter für einen Sundowner auf der Dachterrasse.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, tolle Einrichtung, hübsches Konzept mit offener Küche. Das Essen war sehr hübsch und ansprechend angerichtet, geschmacklich gut, nicht herausragend. Der Koch der Vorspeise war sehr verliebt, im Hauptgericht war die Liebe vergangen #Salz. Das war schade. Der Service war an unserem Abend leider nicht wirklich gut. Getränke (so auch der Wein zum Hauptgang) wurden komplett vergessen, die Rechnung kam erst mit langem Verzug. Als Entschuldigung haben wir den Prosecco umsonst erhalten. Das war sehr freundlich und auch angemessen. In Summe ein netter Abend mit gutem, aber nicht herausragendem Essen, das zwar super angerichtet wird, aber geschmackvoller zubereitet werden könnte. Feinschliff fehlt.

Ein kulinarisches Highlight, auf welches wir uns lange gefreut haben. Meines Erachtens nahezu Sterne-Niveau. Tolle Kreationen und geschmacklich herausragende Akzente. Einfach toll. Natürlich nicht ganz preiswert - you get what you pay!

Das Essen war durchschnittlich gut, aber die Wartezeit war sehr lang wir haben an einem Abend zweieinhalb Stunden gewartet. Der Service war nicht an den Gästen interessiert, wegen Personalmangels. Deshalb kommen wir nicht mehr wieder. 230 € Rechnung und keine Freunde des Restaurants geworden.

Ein Besuch im Oktopussy auf Norderney ist ein echtes Highlight. Das Essen überzeugt durch höchste Qualität und fein abgestimmte Aromen – geschmacklich absolut auf Sterne-Niveau. Der Service ist angenehm unaufgeregt, dabei stets aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, sodass wirklich keine Wünsche offenbleiben. Ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, das man gerne wiederholt.

We visited the roof terrace at sunset and enjoyed an island beer and a glass of wine; a dream evening... So let's go in the great weather...

We were looking forward to a good dinner in a pleasant atmosphere. It started well. The service was a bit sloppy, with the water being poured from a bottle, but the non-alcoholic cocktails were very tasty. For starters, I had a lobster foam soup, which was truly delicious. For my main course, I chose the white halibut. This was simply disappointing. The mussels were cold, and the rest was lukewarm at best, which made the crust as tough as rubber and the dish very overpowering. On top of that, the Lugana was a bit stale and not at the right temperature. The service was a little distant (at the age of 73, I'll never get used to being addressed informally by the wait staff) and sloppy. All in all, with a bill of €160 for two people, it was a disappointing experience and one I won't repeat.

A top-notch restaurant with fine dining. Very unusual, Michelin-star quality. We enjoyed our meal immensely. The prices are, of course, commensurate. Main courses around €40, starters around €20, and desserts around €16. A glass of wine costs €12.

The staff pleasantly surprised us with a welcome from the kitchen and, to finish, a homemade liqueur. Unfortunately, I must note that the prices here are rather high. The expected quality and taste were not fully met, in my opinion. The double duck was particularly disappointing. The duck breast was served as part of an Asian noodle stir-fry and unfortunately proved to be dry. After finishing the course, the waiter asked how it tasted. I told him that I found the duck dry. When I told the staff this, they explained to me that the breast had been cooked in the oven for over two and a half hours, which I found a bit confusing. Despite the long cooking time, the duck breast shouldn't have been dry. It seemed inappropriate to me that the waitress corrected me in front of my companions, claiming that couldn't be and that she had consulted with the chef. Nevertheless, I must say that the second duck course was good in terms of seasoning. The service staff were friendly, albeit occasionally a bit sloppy, which could also have been due to my comment after the first course. Given the high prices, I would have expected commensurate service, which unfortunately wasn't consistently delivered.

We've been coming to Oktopussy for years – and every time we leave with the same thought: That was the best meal! The service is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food is simply magnificent – a true culinary delight. The quality, atmosphere, and taste impress us every time. For us, it's our absolute favorite restaurant on Norderney!

We had a fantastic evening and will be back to your restaurant because not only do you get delicious food, but also service that instantly lifts your mood by 80%. We were actually planning on going to the summer festival, but because of the rain, we spontaneously decided to try your restaurant without a reservation. Nevertheless, we received a warm welcome and felt at home before we even sat down. The team's energy is simply great. We'll definitely be back.

Six of us had a truly culinary evening. I was a little worried about being full, so I opted for a set menu. That was a truly good decision! From the first course to the last, it was a flavor explosion! The dishes were all beautifully presented, and with every course, I heard a resounding "mmmm" from our table with every spoonful or bite. What I also found very pleasant was the fact that everything was quite relaxed and not as uptight as it often is in fine-dining restaurants.

A first-class culinary experience This restaurant is an absolute insider tip – or rather, a place for true connoisseurs. From the very first moment, everything is just right. The ambience is stylish, warm, and inviting without being overly pretentious. The seating is extremely comfortable, and the noise level is pleasant – perfect for a relaxing evening with friends, family, or just the two of you. The food? A true explosion of flavor! Each course was superbly composed, delicately seasoned, and presented with great attention to detail. The kitchen here not only masters its craft technically, but also creatively. As we all know, tastes differ (as with food). We found the service staff described in another review very refreshing, child-friendly, authentic, and courteous. I also find it more productive to address things that bother you directly rather than immediately leaving a negative review. The individual dishes have also been significantly improved in terms of both taste and presentation. I really like the more straightforward, "no-frills" style of cooking.

We were at your restaurant yesterday. The food was delicious, the wine tasteful and well-chilled. The only negative aspect of your restaurant was the loud behavior of some of the employees. We were shocked to hear all the inappropriate words from this tall employee. He was loud and rude to the rest of the staff. Even if he's a supervisor, that doesn't give him the right to belittle others.

Today, like every year, we visited your restaurant. This was our 13th visit. So far, it's always been a pleasure: a calm atmosphere, professional staff, friendly service, all of the highest quality. But today was different. You have a new, tall employee, and honestly, we've never experienced anything so loud and unprofessional in a restaurant before. He was constantly loud, talking nonstop, and ruined the entire atmosphere. Our children were unsettled simply by the way he spoke. He also spoke loudly to guests at the neighboring table, and it was clearly visible that they felt uncomfortable. They wanted to eat, and he talked nonstop. Absolutely inappropriate for a restaurant of your class. It felt like we were at a snack bar and not in your otherwise high-quality restaurant. We were honestly disappointed. That's not how we know you.

Very nice quiet restaurant with impressive open kitchen, very friendly staff good food with exciting spices

At Octopussy, every plate becomes a showcase for ambitious ingredient diversity. Harmony remains charmingly optional. If you enjoy being surprised by how many individual dishes fit on a plate, this is the place for you. The service is attentive and attentive, and the wines by the glass are relatively good. A place where prices and ingredient lists are impressive, and culinary focus remains charmingly secondary – a must for anyone who enjoys being inspired by ambitious self-confidence.

I was there again this year. Some parts were disappointing: the vegetarian starter was relatively tasteless, the kids' burger had a completely dried-out bun, and even though I ordered it, it wasn't delivered without a tomato and lettuce. The cocktails, the Passion Fruit Spritz, were delicious. With prices like Seesteg, I expect quality like this. Nice restaurant, great service, delicious food, not cheap but good. Worth the price!

The Oktopussy website promises a team that advises "with heart and soul." In our case, there was no sign of this: Despite having a reservation, we were simply forgotten after being greeted. Only after we insisted did the waiter acknowledge us after more than 30 minutes. The politely trying but completely overwhelmed staff seemed helpless and uncoordinated throughout the evening – a situation that is inexcusable in this price range. The restaurant describes itself online as a "culinary hotspot" that "sets new standards." Standards were set – but only in terms of poor culinary craftsmanship and chaotic service. Little remained of the advertised inspiring ambiance other than stylish photo opportunities. Only the "essence of oxtail" was convincing in terms of taste. The eponymous octopus, on the other hand, was practically drowning in tasteless aioli and lost any chance of enjoyment. The main courses turned into culinary disasters. The poached halibut was dry, the mussels overcooked, and the beluga lentils bone-dry and overseasoned. The Iberico pork trio was hardly better: pork cheek dripping with fat, simultaneously dry and overseasoned. Both dishes were returned in disappointment; no feedback was provided from the chef—presumably, the criticism was already known. After discussion, we were given a discount of approximately 15% off the bill, which did little to mitigate the disappointment. The oxtail soup and drinks were excellent—but good food shouldn't be left to chance. Our next table also confirmed a disappointing experience as we left. In summary: Oktopussy's dazzling self-promotion is in grotesque contrast to reality. Here, you pay dearly for disappointing cuisine and amateurish service. This is definitely not a culinary hotspot—rather, a gastronomic disappointment that should be avoided.

Great ambience and fantastic quality and creative cuisine. The service is on point, authentic and always friendly. Unfortunately, the risotto was kept warm for a little too long and was dry. That could happen...But for me it's one of the better restaurants on the island.

Hm… was soll ich sagen. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Restaurant und ja es hat uns nicht abgeholt. Wir waren pünktlich zum gebuchten Termin im Restaurant, da unser Tisch nicht frei war, wurden wir an der Bar geparkt. Wir konnten direkt in die Küche schauen und konnten sehen, wie ein Großteil der Küchencrew fortwährend gegessen hat. Es wurden Sachen in die Hand genommen, irgendwo eingedippt und in den Mund gesteckt. Der Service war bemüht, aber leider auch etwas überfordert. Es ist schade, wenn die Servicekraft nicht weiß, wer was bestellt hat. Wein wurde nicht automatisch -gerade zum Hauptgang- nachgeschenkt. Zum Abschluss wurde dann statt eines Williams ein Himbeerbrand geschickt. Kommen wir zum Essen, geschmacklich eher mittelmäßig. Bei unseren Hauptgängen hatten wir das Lamm und zweierlei vom Rind. Die Schichtkartoffel beim Rind waren geschmacksneutral und was der Ziegenkäse auf dem Teller gemacht hat, haben wir nicht verstanden. Das Lammgericht war ok, wenngleich das geschmorte Lamm trocken war. Letztendlich wars ok aber das gewisse “Quäntchen “ ..allemal für den Preis..fehlte. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn meine konstruktive Kritik positiv gewertet wird, denn das Restaurantkonzept und die Mitarbeiter haben es verdient.

A great discovery right in the center of Norderney. Despite the high prices, you get something for your money here, namely very creative cuisine with a wow effect.

A lot helps a lot - or not. We were there for a birthday dinner and have to say that we were thrilled when it started. There was a small decoration and a drink on the house. Unfortunately the service stopped there. We weren't asked if we wanted a bottle of water, and later we were hardly asked about drinks. One of us doesn't eat meat and said so directly at the beginning, but the greeting from the kitchen still came with meat. While we were eating we noticed that other guests had given feedback to the kitchen about ice cream. The chef simply commented “it’s just ice cream, what do they want to hear now?” The extent to which criticism is accepted is of course up to the chef, but reacting at a level that the guests notice is highly unprofessional. At the end we ordered the bill and were then asked if we wanted more coffee. Assuming this was the normal process, one of us ordered another espresso. Since the invoice had already been issued, problems arose, but the waitress behind us didn't speak to us and was incredibly upset. The other waitress resolved the situation well and didn't get involved in any discussions. But the staff should really be aware of how much guests get from the open concept. To eat: The starters were fantastic, at the time we were still excited. One of the main courses was very good, the other was very overloaded and not harmonious due to all the cheese. Unfortunately the portion was far too large for a 3 course meal. At the end we had ice cream and have to agree with the feedback from the other guests, the taste was good, but unfortunately not creamy and instead with ice crystals. All in all, unfortunately not what we expect from a Michelin-listed restaurant and we have had much nicer evenings in this restaurant category. We probably won't come back.

Nachdem wir im September 24 keine gute Erfahrung gemacht haben, sind wir im März 25 noch mal einmal hingegangen. Und siehe da: Eine super Bedienung (junge Dame) klasse Service und das Essen ist wieder auf dem sehr guten, gewohnten Niveau. Der Wein kam zur richtigen Zeit und nicht mit dem Aperitif.

Paid €160 for two people and went home hungry. The food was tasty and the service was good, but unfortunately the prices were quite exorbitant for the tiny amount of food you get. The restaurant is mostly nicely decorated, but in my opinion the pictures in our area were not particularly appropriate, but that's a matter of taste.

My daughter and I went to Oktopussi for breakfast today. It was a first-class breakfast buffet and there was really nothing missing. Listing it would make a long list. I have already experienced very good breakfast buffets but this one surpassed everything. The staff very nice and attentive. Conclusion: Highly recommended.

The food and service were first class. Both of our dishes and the dessert were excellent. Fine cuisine, very selected components, each with an intense taste > absolutely recommended The colleagues in the kitchen are doing a great job 👌, and at the same time so calm in the open kitchen. Top!

We ate very well here. The fish variation was amazing, as was the crustacean risotto. Simply delicious!

Very stylishly decorated restaurant. Each course was a small work of art and tasted excellent. The service at the table can still be improved when it comes to refilling the wine. Otherwise there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Price/performance top.

Unser Besuch im Restaurant Octopussy war leider eine Enttäuschung und blieb deutlich hinter den Erwartungen zurück – vor allem angesichts des Preisniveaus und des Anspruchs, den das Restaurant vermittelt. Der Service war zwar höflich, aber wenig aufmerksam und nicht besonders engagiert. Für ein gehobenes Restaurant fehlte es spürbar an Herzlichkeit und Professionalität, was das Erlebnis bereits zu Beginn trübte. Am Eingang wurde man trotz Reservierung stehegelassen, da man erst mal schauen musste, wo man einen Tisch anbieten kann, der dann erst noch gedeckt werden musste... Die Speisen konnten diesen Eindruck leider nicht retten. Die Rosenkohl-Kartoffelsuppe war viel zu fettig, und der eigentliche Geschmack des Rosenkohls ging nahezu völlig unter. Die Parmesansuppe war ebenfalls sehr fettreich und geschmacklich so intensiv, dass sie kaum genießbar war. Die Ceviche, mit 24,50 Euro absolut hochpreisig, war bestenfalls mittelmäßig – eine kleine Portion mit einem eher enttäuschenden, uninspirierten Aroma. Die Bouillabaisse, die eigentlich ein Highlight hätte sein können, entpuppte sich als eine Art Suppenmischmasch mit Allerlei. Die Zutaten schienen wahllos zusammengestellt, und die Suppe war lieblos abgeschmeckt – von der Raffinesse einer echten Bouillabaisse war hier leider nichts zu spüren. Das Wochenrisotto schließlich haben wir nicht aufgegessen, da es geschmacklich flach und unausgewogen war. Die Enttäuschung über die Hauptgerichte war so groß, dass wir uns dazu entschieden haben, auf ein Dessert komplett zu verzichten. Alles in allem konnte weder die Küche noch der Service mit dem Anspruch des Restaurants oder den aufgerufenen Preisen mithalten. Das Ambiente war zwar ansprechend, aber das allein reicht nicht aus, um einen rundum gelungenen Abend zu garantieren. Für uns war dieser Besuch leider kein Erlebnis, das wir wiederholen möchten. Der Arielle Cocktail konnte da auch nicht merh wirklich etwas rausreissen.....

Great restaurant, fantastic service & very tasty food!

We ate at Oktopussy on November 3rd. Super nice welcome, unfortunately the rest wasn't so good. We are younger (22 years old). Unfortunately, this was very noticeable in the service. The difference compared to the other guests was very big. We weren't asked for any more drinks and we weren't really paid any attention to. We also had to wait a long time for the bill (approx. 20 minutes). Unfortunately, this was not correct either (we only noticed this when we got home). With a bill of €195 for two people you would expect a different standard of service. We come from the catering industry ourselves and are therefore not people who are quick to complain or complain. However, I wouldn't recommend it for younger people.

After a day in the Badehaus we decided to try out Oktopussy. I am so thrilled we did. The waiters were extremely attentive and gave great food recommendations. We started with an Aperitif of Strawberry Gin with tonic and lime. Fresh, fruity and delicious. The entree of Tomato tartar was a well balanced dish of perfection leaving us wanting more. Upon recommendation I chose the Rotbarsch and Adler duet which was perfectly cooked and the sides were well balanced in flavour and texture. My husband chose the Pata Negra which was also well cooked with a deliciously reduced sauce. We shared a dessert of Pistachio mousse, white chocolate and lavender mousse and truffel frozen dessert. An absolute delight. I count fault anything and it was an absolute pleasure to eat at this restaurant. Will certainly be back!

THE top restaurant on the island. If you want to eat well and eat very well, you should visit Oktopussy in New Wave. A MUST for every gourmet. Very good service and excellent cuisine. It is not for nothing that the Oktopussy is listed in the Michelin Guide. The grilled octopus is a delight. We had a very nice evening.

We were there last night and it was spectacular. I would like to give a lot of praise to the chef and kitchen team. I think the card is crazy. You read something, you think "oh I'll order that" then you go one step further, "oh yes that!" Like this through the whole map. The flavor combinations are really clever and you can tell that a lot of time has been invested. Really cool

This is a perfect alternative to the sea pier. Innovation, best preparation, perfect service, but also ambitious prices. We look forward to the next visit.

Ja, es ist höherpreisig - aber es lohnt sich. Qualität und Geschmack wirklich hervorragend. Location wunderbar, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Herren im Service etwas motvationslos. Insgesamt aber absolute Empfehlung von er Sweet auf Qualität legt

Oktopussy on Norderney – Where the food is so good that even my stomach applauds! Every bite was a poem, and the staff so attentive I almost thought they had learned telepathy. We'll definitely be back - just to see if the dessert actually comes from another galaxy!

Moin zusammen. wir haben das Restaurant von Anfang an jedes Jahr besucht. Waren immer zufrieden bis begeistert. Nun war das anders. Es fehlte die Liebe zum Gast. Alles ging so zack, zack. Im Aperetiv sollte eine Erdbeere sein, ohne Kommentar, es kann ja vorkommen daß es keine Erdbeeren gibt, wurden Blaubeeren seviert. Das Kottelet vom Pata Negra Schwein war indiskutabel. Meinen Gästen hätte so etwas nicht serviert. Im vorbeigehen haben wir dann gesehen daß auch relativ wenig Gäste im Restaurant waren.

Pleasantly modernly furnished restaurant. Unfortunately, the attentiveness of the consistently friendly service staff noticeably diminished towards the end. The menu is pleasantly clear and authentic. We chose sousvide octopus and black grouse. Both well prepared and very attractively presented. Good wine selection. The homemade Negroni (matured in oak barrels) is a nice idea, but nothing more.

The food and service were excellent. I had one of the vegetarian dishes and was very satisfied. A real holiday highlight

The service was also extremely pleasant and competent, the wine recommendation was a good fit, for example we were... asked if we wanted a little break between starters and main course! 👍🏻 Basically very chic and modern. - Furnished with open kitchen area. Wir waren schon viele Male hier essen, aber mittlerweile stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für uns leider nicht mehr.

War in den letzten 3 Jahren unser 3. Besuch und leider sinkt die Qualität. Der Service ist freundlich, kann aber bei fehlendem Wein nicht wirklich eine Alternative anbieten. Eine Sommelierausbildung täte gut. Mein Tochter wollte den Kidsburger ohne Ketchup und Salat , aber mit Gurke und Tomate. Nachdem dies nicht drauf waren, musste wir für die Nachbestellung 10 min warten- Gurke und Tomaten kamen auf Extrateller- und der Burger war kalt. Eine Entschuldigung kam nicht. Ansonsten war das 3-Gang -Menü nicht wirklich seinen Preis wert. Für einige Zeit wohl der letzte Besuch.

Update 8/2024 Again, unreservedly recommended. The homemade bread alone doesn't blow you away. This should be urgently remedied. As always, very good and highly recommended. Unfortunately, prices for the starters are approaching the Seesteg, which is also very good. Expect to pay €18-21. 1-3 dishes below. 1 octopus tentacle with aioli with bread for 19€ is just too expensive.

Als Stammgäste des Hotels waren wir auch diesmal gerne hier essen. Was sich die letzten Male leider schon angedeutet hatte, hat sich nun einmal mehr bestätigt. Dass man zu einem bestellten, nicht mehr vorhandenen Wein, keine Alternative anbietet… Schwamm drüber. Dass man jedoch ohne jegliche Betreuung stundenlang auf Service warten muss, ist eine Unverschämtheit. Wer Preise wie in einem Sternerestaurant verlangt, sollte zumindest Service auf McDonald’s Niveau bieten. Keinerlei Getränkeservice am Tisch, kein Service ohne Nachfrage, einfach nur enttäuschend und unfreundlich. Dem Preisniveau absolut unangemessen. Wie es besser geht, sieht man doch in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft. Ein ausdrückliches Lob gilt allerdings der Küche, denn das Essen ist immer noch herausragend gut und es kann einem schon ein wenig leid tun, dass der Service dies in keinster Weise umsetzt. Zum Glück haben wir es gerade noch vor 22 Uhr geschafft, unseren Hauptgang zu essen ( Restaurant schließt um 22 Uhr) , Dessert?? Kaffee?? Aperitif?? Wenn die Rechnung dann mehrere hundert Euro beträgt, ist es absolut unangemessen und traurig. Wir waren immer gerne hier, aber heute wohl zum letzten Mal.

Excellent cuisine and great service. We chose the 3 course menu and were completely satisfied. The starter and main course were incredibly tasty. When we asked how the jus was prepared, we quickly got an answer from the waiter, who asked directly in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the dessert wasn't quite to our taste, but it was beautifully presented. We would still like to come back!

No question about it, the Oktopussy Restaurant more than deserves five stars. Great service and great dishes are worth a visit. The food is fresh and excellently prepared. We'll be back next week and are looking forward to it!! Tip: be sure to reserve, otherwise it could be difficult!

We booked a table at short notice today via OpenTable and were looking forward to going to the restaurant. Waiting briefly at reception isn't a problem, but once we were at our table and had the cards brought to us, the service ended. For almost 25 minutes they didn't pay any attention to us, instead focusing on more inconsequential things. The waitress walked past our table several times and didn't come up with the idea of ​​taking an order. When guests who came to the restaurant after us and also waited longer for a possible order were served before us, we decided to leave. I asked the waiter that we leave the restaurant again. What followed was a very short-winded apology and no awareness of mistakes. It's a shame for such a seemingly good restaurant if that's the service.
