Attentive, friendly service, beautiful location and super delicious food. Not cheap, but worth the price for the quality. Good alternative to the White Dune. To avoid hunger after the long journey to the oasis: The kitchen is only open until 8 p.m. in the evening! Reservations are recommended in the evening. We were super satisfied and will definitely come back.

Actually a nice shop, great terrace. Nice recipes, but didn't eat anything. What doesn't work is the prices. For example, 0.5 liters of wheat beer costs 7.50 euros! Accordingly, everything else costs around 30-50% too much, even for Norderney. Everywhere on the island the people are very friendly, but not here, rather listless.

After a bike tour across the island, we wanted to take a short break at Sandpipit at lunchtime and have something to eat there. Of course, prices are higher almost everywhere on the island, but here it spoiled our appetite for fries.

Actually, a review on my part here is a bit overkill, because I had exactly one fish roll and one hefeweizen. So I can't say anything about the "big" food here. But: this fish sandwich belongs in the Guinness Book of Records! The roll itself is nothing fancy, a simple baked grain roll. This could perhaps be made a little more original, but even that is completely pushed into the background because: the matjes! Every bite is a pleasure without limits! What an aroma! It almost seems a little Christmassy, ​​but it's just great! Whoever had this brilliant idea of ​​putting the herring in sherry simply deserves a Nobel Prize. Or the Pulitzer. An Olympic gold medal from me too. In my humble opinion, this was by far the best fish sandwich on the island so far! And as a fish lover, I've tried a lot here too. Apart from this, albeit rather small, culinary crown jewel, the rest also looks great! The location? Shortly behind the beach, at the inner end of the dunes, directly at the parking lot (easily accessible by bike, car but also on foot if you don't mind walking a few kilometers), it couldn't be better. When the weather is nice there is plenty of space outside, otherwise inside is also good. The service? Friendly, funny, fast. Couldn't be any better. Paying in cash or by card, even digitally, is all possible. That too is perfect. The food? Well, I don't know, but if everything else is even half as ingenious and creative as the Sherry-Matjes, then this shop is a real gem. I think it's worth trying!

Hello everyone, the one star in the food is not the taste but the quantity and the price. Currywurst fries with two sauces for over €20!!! I'm wondering who else should allow themselves to do that and the currywurst in the glass was super tasty but there were a maximum of 9 small pieces in it. We had a shandy from the bottle, a non-alcoholic wheat and a portion of currywurst fries for €33.50...

We stopped here after a long bike ride. Service very friendly and attentive. As a starter we had rolls with aioli which was very good. Afterwards a currywurst with Belgian fries was beautifully prepared and also very tasty. Plus a wonderful ambience. Prices, regardless of drinks or food, are very high.

Waren in diesem Urlaub zwei mal im Strandpieper. Wenn schon überdurchschnittlichliche Preise, dann bitte auch überdurchschnittliche Atmosphäre und überdurchschnittlicher Service. Beides Leider Fehlanzeige. Ein ganz normales Strandrestaurant mit zuwenig Schattenplätzen für sehr sonnige und warme Tage. Man lebt halt von der Lage, aber längst ist die Oase kein Gästemagnet mehr.

It's one thing to pay €4.70 for a cappuccino and €3.70 for an espresso. At such a price, as a customer you also have a certain expectation of quality. If the cappuccino doesn't even come from the portafilter but from the fully automatic machine and there isn't even a cookie, then it just doesn't fit.

Wir(3 Pärchen) waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und auch dem Tisch draußen. Besonders lobenswert ist das Service Team -höflich und aufmerksam wurden uns die Köstlichkeiten serviert. Ganz besonders sind Jean und der Barkeeper zu erwähnen. Mit Witz und sogar Zaubertricks haben sie uns einen unvergesslichen Abend bereitet.

Und vor allem viel Blabla der Kellner, die versuchen, den Mangel an Kreativität in einem sogenannten Überraschungsmenü auszugleichen. Solche Erlebnisse sind immer günstig.

Sand Pipit Norderney The Strandpieper beach bar on Norderney is located in the middle of the dunes and is easily accessible by bike. You can also reach this great beach bar by bus. The bar is beautifully furnished, and of course there is also a beautiful and large outdoor area. If there is too much sun, awnings are stretched. The typical island food is very tasty. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The bar is very well maintained.

Wir waren bereits mehrfach zum Menü im Strandpieper. Essen ist köstlich, Service sehr aufmerksam, das Ambiente ist sehr schön aufeinander abgestimmt, der Preis ist völlig gerechtfertigt. Wunderbar, um einen Abend auf der Insel chillig-hochwertig ausklingen zu lassen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren schon des Öfteren im Sandpieper und man muss schon klar unterscheiden, ob man drinnen oder draußen sitzt. Bei schönem Wetter hat das Restaurant draussen eine ganz tolle Atmosphäre aber wenn man wetterbedingt drinnen sitzt, ist es von der Atmosphäre limitiert, besonders wenn man im hinteren Teil sitzen muss. Das Preisniveau der Speisen ist mit anderen Restaurants vergleichbar und bietet eine solide Basis Qualität.

Bistro with a club atmosphere at the far end in the west. The prices are higher than in the city center. If that doesn't bother you, you'll feel very comfortable here.

A nice location close to the beach. However, that is the only positive thing we (family with two children) can say. It was busy at lunchtime. The service staff were totally annoyed. You got corresponding answers if you wanted to order something. But what is the main reason for us that we would only drink a coffee or water there is the incredibly outrageous prices. Anyone who charges €7.50 for a piece of apple pie, €10.00 for a scoop of ice cream, or €18.50 for currywurst with fries must offer star cuisine or incredibly good service. Neither was the case. We have been used to high prices on Norderney for years. But that's just outrageous.

From a culinary point of view, we spent a lovely evening at Sandpipit yesterday. Big compliments to the kitchen! However, the time was marred by the very annoyed and extremely snotty older waiter. This is not how you serve guests - an absolute no go!!!!! At 8.30 p.m. we were more or less "swept out" - but we were still allowed to pay!! Given the gastronomic diversity on the island, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant due to the very poor service!!!

Wir hatten einen Tisch um 18:30 Uhr und waren um 19:30 Uhr mit allem durch. Konnten gar nicht so schnell gucken, wie die Teller wieder abgeräumt wurden. War alles ein wenig hektisch. Schade, Essen war top, wohlfühlen sollte man sich aber schon dürfen. Besser, keinen Tisch mehr um 18:30 Uhr frei geben, wenn um 19 Uhr geschlossen werden soll.

Wir kommen sehr gerne hierher. Ein Besuch ist wie ein Energieboost. Alles passt. Super angenehm! Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

I visited this restaurant last year and I still rave about it all the time! Even without a reservation, we were immediately shown a table that was in a sofa lounge. The waiters were all really friendly and asked several times if everything was OK with us. There was soft music playing in the background and the dishes looked amazing! In terms of taste, this was definitely something I will remember for a long time. On my next visit I definitely want to go to the Sand Pipit again. In my opinion, the beach directly behind the restaurant is also one of the most beautiful on Norderney. Thank you!

Beautifully and inconspicuously built into the dunes

We were there with my family of 5 and were immediately warmly welcomed, even the dog was lovingly embraced outside :). The food was, as one would expect from the White House, sensational and unique. That alone makes a trip to Norderney worth it. That's what led us there, among other things. We were very happy to celebrate our wedding anniversary there in a small, cozy circle and would like to thank the whole team and the management and beauty of this place for allowing us to spend such an unforgettable time there. We have booked our vacation next year directly on the island so that we can come back regularly! We continue to rave about our experience in Hamburg and send the city residents to the sea! TOP Restaurant ... Super Service ... Gerne wieder

Für einen Besuch an der Oase eine Einkehrmöglichkeit. Allerdings braucht es das nötige Kleingeld. Eine Weinschorle für 8.40 Euro - da müssen die Nebenkosten in der Gastro schon ganz nett hoch sein. Also doch nur den Cappuccino für 4.50. Schade, der Normalverdienerfamilie mit Kindern wird so ein Aufenthalt unbezahlbar.

Am letzten Tag (17.09.2022) unseres Norderney Urlaubs, gönnen wir uns im Strandpieper einen teuren Cocktail. Aufgrund von sehr stürmischen Wetter, war der Außenbereich des Lokals vollkommen leer. Bedienung war sehr verwundert darüber, dass wir draußen sitzen wollten 😄. Sitzen in einer windgeschützten Ecke wo man rauchen und trinken konnte. Dass unsere Cocktails sündhaft teuer waren, war uns egal, da es unser vorletzter Tag auf der Insel war. Man gönnt sich sowas ja nicht das ganze Jahr über.

Wunderschöne Lage, freundlicher Service und einer der teuersten aber auch besten Apfelkuchen den ich je hatte.

Waren dort sehr oft zu Gast. Top Essen alles immer frisch zubereitet , super nette Bedienungen, toller Service und direkt am Meer. Super Location um seinen Tag zu genießen 😎

Genau so ein Konzept dieser Art hat der Insel gefehlt. Endlich. Kulinarisch einfach unübertroffen köstlich. Service bezaubernd und liebenswert. Wundervolle Atmosphäre und gleichzeitig authentisch. 10 Sterne plus.

Ein absolutes Highlight und Muss für alle auf Norderney. Das Restaurant liegt direkt in den wunderschönen Dünen am Oase-Strand und man fühlt sich direkt wohl☀️. Schon allein die entspannte Atmosphäre lädt ein, hier abends in Ruhe zu entspannen und grenzt sich somit komplett vom Trubel im Städtchen ab. Hier wird man sogar mit Hund herzlich aufgenommen und empfangen. Der Service an sich ist super. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und super freundlich und nimmt sich sehr viel Zeit für die Gäste. Wir hatten das Überraschungsmenü gewählt, was auch für mich als Vegetarierin eine super Möglichkeit ist, Sterneküche ohne Einschränkungen zu genießen, da sogar auf meine Allergie bestens geachtet wurde. Das Essen selbst ist ein absoluter Genuss auf hohem Niveau, was mit einem sehr guten Wein(Service) perfekt abgerundet wurde. Insgesamt ein wunderschöner Abend,🌅 an dem wir exzellentes Essen und entspannte Atmosphäre perfekt genießen konnten.

Wir waren mit 3 Gästen in diesem wirklich tollen Lokal. Es liegt außerhalb, aber gerade das macht den Charme aus. Für alle die wissen wie wunderschön " die Oase" hinter den Dünen ist. Wir hatten alle das Menü und fanden es alle perfekt. Dazu ein netter, guter Service und eine schmackhafte Flasche Wein. Wir konnten an den Gerichten nichts bemängeln. Wenn man so weit " draußen" gut essen möchte kostet es nun mal etwas "mehr". Nächstes Jahr gerne wieder.

Herr Burda scheint da nicht ganz die Wahrheit zu sagen. Wenn man ab 17:00 Uhr erst das Menü bestellen kann, können keine Bimmelbahngäste mehr dort sein. Die fährt dann gar nicht mehr und die Gäste gehen bei den Fahrten auch dort nicht auf die Toilette, sondern nutzen die öffentlichen. Herr Burda sollte mit solchen Kommentaren doch umsichtiger umgehen, das hat schon „geschmäckle“ Liebe Frau Völz, ich war schon mehrfach bei Ihnen zum Essen und es war immer gut, allerdings nach diesem Post nicht mehr. Ich wollte lediglich richtigstellen, das es nicht sein kann, das um 17:00 Uhr Bimmelbahngäste bei Ihnen auf die Toilette gehen. Das dies ggf. am Tage sein kann, will ich nicht ausschließen.

Super tolle Location. Tolles Ambiente, super Service, das Essen war mega lecker alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten uns für das Überraschungsmenü entschieden und warten total begeistert. Das einzige was wirklich stört sind die Gäste der Bimmelbahn, die gefühlt jede Stunde das Local überrennen eine Unruhe reinbringen, weil Sie nur die Toiletten benutzen wollen. Komme sehr gerne wieder, wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Strandpieper.

Ich war bei meinem ersten Besuch leider etwas zu spät dran gewesen, sodass die Küche eigentlich schon geschlossen war - dennoch gab es noch ein leckeres Sherry Matjes Brötchen, damit ich nicht hungrig wieder gehen musste. Meine beiden Hunde waren auch herzlich willkommen. Nicht die günstigste Location für ein gepflegtes (Abend) Essen auf Norderney aber dennoch uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen, sehr lecker
