We have NEVER been treated so arrogantly! As a group of girls, we were kindly allowed to choose a spot outside in the pouring rain, but not inside, even though there were no guests there yet. However, we weren't served outside for over 30 minutes, not even when we asked! One try and never again!

From the waiter to the saleswoman in the office - the nicest employees :) and so fond of children, really great! We felt very comfortable with you! The Friesian cake tasted so good and in the attached shop you can still find lots of great, delicious souvenirs to take home. A visit to the dairy is a must on your Norderney vacation ♥️

What a wonderful alternative to all the other restaurants or cafes in the area! The selection of drinks and dishes is very diverse and tastes very good. In addition, very attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. It's great that this dairy exists!

Very friendly staff, the beer (1 liter) was very tasty and it was served in an ice bucket!!! The vegetable soup with sausage is mega legga, the rice pudding with cinnamon and sugar is also a hit... always a pleasure

Cream for 25 euros. A Frisian cake that wasn't made with cream. Ice cream chocolate (ordered twice) with a mini scoop of ice cream and a mountain of cream. So much cream that tasted really cheap and so little quality that disappointed. The ambience is nice. Too bad.

We stayed here twice because we liked the location and the ambience so much. I would describe the menu as exceptional - I'm curious to see whether it will be successful in the long term. The tomato soup was to die for, the bratwursts were fresh from the grill and also very tasty. The staff like to keep themselves busy from time to time, but are friendly and accommodating.

Really nice (and not that small) restaurant/cafe/snack place. Plenty of seating, both inside and outside, entices you to linger. Of course, everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to sit outside, but it definitely depends on the island's weather, which, as we all know, can have many faces. The service is very friendly, the drinks and cakes we ordered came very quickly, absolutely wonderful! The selection of cakes is not large, but every cake we ordered was a poem, especially the cheesecake! The food on the menu also sounds delicious, but I can't actually say anything about it, it certainly seems plentiful. The selection of vegan/vegetarian options is perhaps a little thin, but that's probably why you're unlikely to go to a "meierei". So everything is actually great, why only 3 stars? Because one small circumstance is simply unacceptable in my opinion: the card. This is available as paper in DinA3 format at every seat. Yes and? Now, after the customer has paid and left, there is a cleanup. Every card at the table is collected, crumpled up and thrown away. Afterwards, a new sheet is taken from a stack at a small counter for each seat and put back down for the next customer. Sorry, but let's be honest: it's possible that someone here thought that these menus in book format are boring, we need something that's more hip. But in 2024, when the topic of sustainability has been on everyone's lips for at least ten years and by now every last *bleep* must have understood how important this topic is, something like this is absolutely unacceptable! Come up with something else clever, but it just won't work! That's not even the only aspect: if resources are handled so carelessly at this point, it doesn't exactly create much trust that things are going better elsewhere in this establishment. So once again profit comes before people and nature. It may be that the majority of customers here don't care about this at all, but it simply can't be allowed to do so anymore. We simply can't go on like this anymore and I know that more and more people feel the same way. And this results in the deduction of 2 stars, even if the actual reason for the rating gives no reason for this...

The dairy is convincing across the board. The service is warm and attentive, making the visit pleasant from the start. The cuisine is down-to-earth yet sophisticated: the Leberkäs and the Norderneyer Zipfel are true taste experiences, perfectly complemented by the spicy sauerkraut. A cold beer harmoniously rounds off the culinary experience. A visit to the dairy is a treat that should not be missed. Thanks to the team for the great experience. 🍀

You are welcome to take a break here... Drinks good. The food is very good. Even if they are not outstanding dishes. Still a delight for the palate and stomach.

Very nice place to eat and linger, you never get bored at the table

A nice location with delicious food that would actually have been worth 5 stars, but we were not at all satisfied with the service (older gentleman) and found it rude to the guest, 1. if you didn't order immediately when asked because you were still there If you haven't found the right one, the gentleman doesn't come to the table to ask for a long time. 2. If you order a usual drink that happens not to be offered, the question is “is it on the menu”… the guest is not king here! Others here have probably noticed something similar...

If you want to stop somewhere on Norderney for a really good meal and great drinks, the Meierei is an absolute MUST!! The beautiful and pleasant atmosphere makes you feel 100% comfortable. The staff is not only super friendly and cheerful, but also extremely attentive. Despite the fact that the dairy was so busy that there was hardly any free space left, the orders came super quickly. And if you want, the staff will be happy to tell you more about the history of the dairy and the regional products, which are of great importance. By the way, I would say that I ate the tastiest meat loaf and the tastiest potato salad of my life here. The homemade mustard goes perfectly with it. The beers “Meierei 1” (light) and “Meierei 2” (a little stronger) are also incredibly tasty. Here you don't just get something for your money. Here you really have the feeling of being a friend of the house. And the cherry on the cake are these very, very tasty dishes. Speaking of cake - my tip for dessert: the cheesecake!! Like everything else - simply incredibly delicious!! I would actually come back to Norderney just for the dairy. And if it's just for a day trip with your loved ones to have a delicious meal at the Meierei. Dear Meierei team: VERY GREAT CINEMA FROM YOU!! :-)

Inconspicuous and then the mega surprise. The food was delicious, the spritzers were a delight.

Wir sind hier während unserer Radtour am Nachmittag eingekehrt und haben daher die Friesische Torte und den warmen Milchreis mit Zimt und Zucker zu uns genommen. Die Torte ist Geschmackssache (sehr süß mit vielen Baiser-Stückchen). Milchreis war sehr lecker. Man kann hier allerdings noch diverse andere Leckereien zu sich nehmen. Von Würstchen über Steaks und verschiedenen Brotvariationen (z.B. mit Krabben) bis hin zu Fischgerichten. Verschiedenes kann auch im angrenzenden Shop erworben werden. den wir hinterher noch aufsuchten. Netter Zwischenstopp und daher ein Muss!

I had a wonderful little break here on the island! I've experienced so much that sometimes I couldn't believe it myself!! The lovely hours in the dairy were wonderful, really delicious, fun and relaxed! The atmosphere in the afternoon with a delicious piece of cake was so unique and special. The way you only know it from a movie... You could also sit alone at the lovingly prepared tables and pursue your thoughts! Thanks. Absorbed by so much good harmony... A big compliment goes to the service and Heiko. :) It couldn't be friendlier, more personable & funnier. So unique. So much friendliness in one place - a very special place.

Well decorated German restaurant. Big portion of German foods in a cozy atmosphere. We had the sausages with delish sauerkraut and potato salad and pulled pork burger and salmon in Hey. Both tasted good and huge. I’d say the meat in the burger was a bit too sweet for me. Not sure it’s the German style or the restaurant’s signature. I highly recommend the cheesecake (Käsekuchen)!! It’s awesome, firm and not too sweet. One order can fill up two people. However the menu is quite small and there’s not a lot of healthy choices.

We didn't eat but the drinks and service were good. Nice restaurant, regional, with a little smile where you can buy all kinds of nice things and souvenirs.

Hier gibt es gute Hausmannskost in super lecker. Auch kleine Portionen sind möglich. Alles super frisch und gut abgeschmeckt. Die Preise sind dabei moderat . Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet und auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

After a long hike from the lighthouse, we were happy when the first stop had really good reviews. We weren't disappointed. Nice location, nice service and the food was very good. We had warm rice pudding with strawberry puree and island pancakes. Both tasted great. Here we value quality and regional products. We recommend!

We made ourselves comfortable in the tea room. Very large selection of teas in a very pleasant atmosphere.

Tolles Ambiente, guter Service solange das sehr aufmerksame Personal sich um uns kümmerte. Die Freude endete als der Chef alleine seine Lieblingsgäste mit Plausch und Spirituosen versorgte. Der zuvor bei ihm bestellte Eierlikör kam auch nicht mehr auf Nachfrage, auch hatten wir den Eindruck ihn mit unserem Geld nötigen zu müssen. Sehr schade, wäre gar nicht schwierig gewesen uns zufrieden zu stellen. Beim nächsten Mal geht's woanders hin.

Great concept, special attention is paid to local products. We had the regional beer and the crab bread. Both recommended. The price of just under 20 euros is justified. Very finely chopped vegetables with delicious shrimps, a fine mayonnaise and the horseradish was also delicate. Service honest and not stressed despite the big rush. It's worth a visit.

Ca. 30 Fußminuten vom Zentrum gelegen erreicht man das urig eingerichtete Lokal. Freundliche witzige Bedienung empfängt einen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr käselastig, was entsprechende Liebhaber freuen wird. Selbst habe ich mich für den Leberkäse, der eindeutig keine Industrieware sondern handgemacht war, entschieden. Alle Bayern jetzt bitte überspringen: der hausgemachte Ketchup schmeckte super dazu. Gereicht wurde der Leberkäse mit einem selbstgemachten Kartoffelsalat und hausgemachten Sauerkraut. Die Qualität war sehr gut. Jedoch bevorzuge ich eine festkochende Kartoffel und weniger Kümmel. Meine Begleitung hatte sich für den Burger entschieden. Auch hier stimmte alle Details. Industrieware: Fehlanzeige. Mein Highlight war der Absacker in Form eines Lagerkorns, der in einem Cognacschwenker über einem "Dampfbad" gereicht.

The rustic restaurant is about a 30-minute walk from the center. Friendly, funny service welcomes you. The menu is very cheese-heavy, which will please lovers of cheese. I myself decided on the Leberkäse, which was clearly not an industrial product but rather handmade. All Bavarians please skip now: the homemade ketchup tasted great with it. The Leberkäse was served with homemade potato salad and homemade sauerkraut. The quality was very good. However, I prefer a waxy potato and less caraway. My companion chose the burger. Here too, all the details were correct. Industrial goods: none. My highlight was the nightcap in the form of a lager grain, which was served in a cognac snifter over a "steam bath".

Unfortunately we were very disappointed today. The fact that dishes are interpreted locally - gladly, why not. But unfortunately it didn't suit our taste. In addition, each of our four dishes lacked pizzazz and unfortunately seemed carelessly prepared and presented.

I can only give 5 stars, unfortunately. Even if you want to avoid the partygoers, you can find some peace and quiet here in the tea room. There is no service here, you make your own tea and can enjoy a little peace and quiet with a cup of tea. The cakes are super delicious. I still have to test the food but what I could see was very good without exception. The staff is super friendly, respectful in the current situation. Thank you for a wonderfully quiet afternoon with tea and a book. I'll come back again for dinner.

Even though Google said it was supposed to be open, we were (once again) faced with a “closed today” sign. The cost of the bus is also free. Even if the place otherwise looks good and we can't say anything about the food and service, something like that is a no-go for me these days. Sorry, but that only gives one star. Then please change the opening times on Google.

On the occasion of our last holiday on Norderney we went to the Meierei for dinner for the first time. The ambience is excellent and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food tastes very tasty. It's really worth making a stop there. A visit to the farm shop is also worthwhile. For us, this stay was one of the highlights of the vacation.

Well...what should you write? As always, the food was great, the service and the ambience were unbeatable. The holiday feeling certainly also plays a role. Always good but also well attended. You can't make a reservation, so plan on waiting a bit. A must for us on every Norderney holiday.

Great homemade eggnog, great ambience.

At the Meierei it's somehow completely different than on the beach and in the, well, let's call it fancy high society stalls that don't sell anything different, let alone better, than the rest of the island's restaurants. At best, these stand out from others through very self-confident pricing. It may also be that this fact is due to the different, probably highly variable rental prices. In or at the dairy it is completely different. What I mean by this is that you immediately feel welcome and not just the contents of your wallet are valued. In my opinion, the pricing here is perfectly fine. There's a lot on offer that I couldn't have imagined when I placed my first order today. If I were in Norderney for any longer, I would definitely have the idea to try the entire menu. However, departure is in sight in a few days and there won't be enough time left for everything. I can only warmly recommend this great house with a great restaurant and shop. Regardless of whether you are a lover of carnal pleasures or those who have nothing to do with it at all, cake fans and coffee or tea lovers are well catered for and there is something delicious to take home with you in the shop in addition to decorative objects and other everyday items and to purchase. This is how I imagine good hospitality. I would like to give a big compliment to the whole team and say that you are on exactly the right track. Please don't leave this one.

We go to the dairy at least once when we are on the island, whether for breakfast or lunch. We have never been disappointed, the food and ambience are great and the service staff are always friendly with a quick saying on their lips 😋👍🏻 Price/performance here is really 1A!

We've never experienced anything like this! Normal greeting, waiter (a little older) seemed very annoyed. When I asked if there was coffee with milk, I got a very rude answer: as well as on the menu! It was pointed out on the menu that you should ask which cake was on offer that day. This question was answered sloppily again with: there it is... I still don't know where it should be. When paying, the waiter asked for a tip, which is usually given without being asked for good service and a generally good experience. Absolutely invasive and inappropriate for such a service.

A great address at any time. We are there at least once on every holiday. Drinks are always top and the food (which for us so far has mostly been limited to an afternoon meal) has always been more than top. The number 1 place to go for rice pudding and Kaiserschmarn on the island. The staff were always super nice and were happy to have a little fun on the sidelines. However, the dairy is often very busy and it is not always possible to find a place straight away. You may have to be a little patient here.

Sometimes your legs take you to beautiful places without planning. We had a great evening there, with delicious food and delicious drinks. The service and ambience were simply unbeatable. We'd love to come back next year! Best regards :)

Our favorite restaurant on Norderney.

Definitely 5 out of 5 stars for our visit to the Norderney dairy! We have already read that the dairy is known for its delicious eggnog. We wanted to see for ourselves. We were greeted in a very friendly and humorous way and were immediately enchanted by the beautiful ambience and the great office with lots of souvenirs. But it's not just eggnog that's recommended. There is something for every taste on the food and drink menu and we had a really good time. Absolute recommendation! 👍🏼

Tja, ich sag nur Etagere! Ich / wir haben lange nicht so etwas köstliches gegessen….auf drei Etagen waren kleine Brötchen mit Marmelade und einer Art clotted cream, dann sündhaft leckere Küchlein und zu guter Letzt Sandwiches zu finden. Dazu eines der leckeren Biere. Und: sehr ungewohnt: der Gurkenschnaps! Riecht wie eingelegte saure Gurken….ist nicht unlecker….!! Aber auch die Servicekräfte haben ein besonderes Lob verdient!!

Wir können den "Hype" und die guten Bewertungen nicht so recht nachvollziehen... Die Preise wurden ordentlich erhöht, aber Leistung und Service waren eher durchschnittlich. Der Kuchen hat zwar geschmeckt und es war ein ordentlich großes Stück für den Preis, deshalb vergeben wir doch noch gut gemeinte 3 Punkte, aber wir mussten ziemlich lange darauf warten. Außerdem fanden wir den Preis für einen Eiskaffee schon fast frech, wenn statt "cremig-sahnigem hauseigenem Vanille-Eis" nur eine harte Eiskugel voller Eiskristalle im Gläschen schwimmt. Insgesamt fühlten wir uns auch nicht sonderlich willkommen. Bei Ankunft wurden wir gebeten, im Eingang auf eine Platzierung zu warten, dann aber für längere Zeit gar nicht mehr beachtet. Wir haben uns dann einfach selbst irgendwo hingesetzt. Beim nächsten Norderneybesuch werden wir die Meierei jedenfalls nicht mehr besuchen.

Nice restaurant with friendly service. Food (pulled burgers, meatloaf, cake) were delicious, but the price was just acceptable (burgers without anything and meatloaf each just under 20 euros). Quantity OK. At our time around 1:15 p.m. it was very busy. Bottom line, would come again.

Wir hatten eine Bank und da wir vier Personen waren und zwei gerne ohne Sonne und wir uns gegenüber sitzen wollten, hatten wir 2 Stühle herangezogen. Das Personal teilte uns unfreundlich mit, das geht nicht, die Stühle gehören zu einem Zweiertisch. Es gab aber noch andere frei Zweiertische, so dass es unserer Erachtens kein Problem sein sollte. Es war jedoch nichts zu machen mit dieser unfreundlichen Bedienung obwohl wir auch noch ein Geburtstagskind am Tisch hatten. Also sind wir gegangen.
