We were there with a group and we all felt very comfortable. The food and the cake were delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive.

The ambiance is great and truly special, both inside and out. The staff are mostly friendly. Unfortunately, there's one waiter who constantly has to make snide remarks, doesn't let you finish speaking, and thinks he's very "cool"—it's annoying. The food is special, but not for us: far too much, a somewhat peculiar creation, not bad quality, but for those who like something special... We won't be going back.

Well, there's still room for improvement. The staff are typically Frisian—a bit gruff, but friendly. Good selection of drinks and food. A bit pricey, but that's Norderney for you. Special requests are accommodated whenever possible.

A must-see. People line up for a drink or a bite to eat. Great staff, delicious food and drinks 😋 And a super nice shop where you can get various Frisian delicacies.

We arrived just in time (7:50 p.m., two of us), asked very nicely if we could order more, and received a warm welcome. The service was very friendly, special thanks to Anja. The food was truly delicious.

Food, service and ambience all top

A lot of things are just right here: a beautiful, welcoming, and creative atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. Food: We had the crab sandwich and the 6-Zipfel (spicy buns). The cabbage was the secret star of the Zipfel (delicious). The crab sandwich was tasty, but you could tell the cucumbers and onions were meant to make the dish appear larger. Unfortunately, the crab flavor was a bit overshadowed. Drinks: Meierei beer: It's solid, but doesn't compare to the Norderney beer (definitely go to the brewery). Strawberry Spritz: Absolutely recommended The nut liqueur: Great! Advocaat: A dream, so thick and creamy Dessert: Friesentorte with a shot We enhanced it with advocaat, thanks to a tip from the gentleman who took the orders. Cool guy. The restaurant is worth a visit.

The ambiance is fantastic. It's very rustic, yet modern and not outdated thanks to many small details. The food is delicious, especially the "Inselschmarn" (sweet pancake) and the rice pudding, which are highly recommended. However, as with everything, prices have risen dramatically.

It couldn't be better. Well organized, even with large crowds.

The head waiter who assigned the tables was very arrogant and unfriendly. But the waitress who took my order and the young man who brought the drinks were very friendly despite the stress.

A very nice place, not too crowded in the evening. The food is original and delicious, and prices are normal for the island. 2025 Update: If you like tea, take advantage of teatime!

The atmosphere is really good. It's located on the border between the town of Norderney and the nature reserve. The staff is friendly, helpful, and good. For me personally, the only reason I lose points is that they don't serve draft beer at all, only bottles, and my wife doesn't have an Aperol Spritz either, but rather only local schnapps and other spirits. This leaves me with something missing.

A very interesting concept for a restaurant. We really enjoyed it and can only warmly recommend it.

It's a must-see, but it's overrated. Mass processing. Nicely designed interior and exterior, but unfortunately too busy. The friendly staff are just whizzing around. Unfortunately, they only serve bottled beer, but they're expensive. They serve cakes and snacks.

The apple spritzer was fantastic and delicious, but the burger for €19.50 was a complete disgrace. It came without any side dishes and was really not good for the price. You couldn't taste the pulled pork, and the burger was burnt to boot. Definitely not recommended. When I asked for a special sauce, I was given a hard time, and the rest of the group was told not to make any special requests. The rest of the service was quite nice. I'll be happy if there are any improvements next time.

I stopped by around lunchtime for lunch and a slice of cake. First and foremost, I want to thank you for letting me be your guest! Perfect service can be that simple, thank you! Very pleasant staff, attentive and courteous. The ambiance is a solid 12/10 and invites you to linger. PS: The cheesecake is amazing! 🤯

We visited the Meierei twice, once for coffee and cake and once for a late breakfast. Both times, we had excellent meals. I had the snack once and the cake of the day once. My wife had ice cream once and the pressed cheese once, and she loved both. Overall, a very nice location with friendly staff.

Service is friendly and attentive. From the outside, the ambiance looks run-down/like an old nursery. Inside, they're trying hard, but the wind/sun protection tarpaulin definitely needs to be replaced. Food is decent. We had the only burger they offered, and what was on offer was substandard. The meat was dried out, the onions were burnt black, and the cheese was cheap processed cheese. We complained and said it would be passed on to the kitchen... but no response... With such a small menu, you can expect quality for the price.

The "special" food concept doesn't appeal to me. Too many pickles! The drinks menu isn't my cup of tea either.

A visit to the Meierei on Norderney is much more than just a meal – it's a true experience! From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome and completely at home. The service is truly exceptionally friendly, attentive, and warm (THANK YOU Heiko!!) – you immediately notice that hospitality is a top priority here. The food is fantastic and highly recommended: The Leberkäse (meatloaf) is a delight, the "Hühnerglück" (chicken happiness) is deliciously prepared, and the cheesecake is a real highlight that shouldn't be missed. Everything is fresh, lovingly prepared, and tastes simply outstanding. For me, the Meierei is a place you absolutely must visit – whether for a relaxed meal or a special experience. A clear five stars and an unconditional recommendation!

A truly wonderful inn! The friendly and welcoming atmosphere immediately strikes you upon entering. The dedicated staff are attentive, courteous, and make you feel immediately welcome. You can tell they enjoy their work. A place you'll gladly return to!

We happened upon Meine Meierei quite by chance and stopped in. A lovingly decorated place...we had hot chocolate and a Friesentorte there...

Not only do you get the biggest slices of cake on the entire island, but you'll always get a friendly joke from the staff. Great team, great atmosphere, delicious food and drinks. Highly recommended!

I ate at the Meierei in June 2025 and was satisfied. What I wasn't happy with were the three bottles of eggnog, each costing €16.50. The bottle neck is too long to get the liqueur out of. Wouldn't it be better to use a different bottle? The taste is great.

This was our fourth time on Norderney, and honestly, our first time at the Meierei. The food was so delicious that we went back a second time, as we had to try the salmon in hay :) ... SUPER delicious ... and the sauerkraut is fantastic. Plus, the super friendly service and the cozy, lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back on our next Norderney vacation :)

Meine Meierei is truly the best Norderney has to offer. You can sit inside or outside, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy. The staff is "North German" and friendly, and they're always quick to offer a lighthearted joke. The food is fabulous, whether it's a traditional German snack, the incredibly delicious Leberkäse (meat loaf), or the milk rice. Our children and we love it there. Out of 15 days on Norderney, we go to Meine Meierei 10 times.

Distinctive but atmospheric, tasty food and not complicated.

We only made one stop there on our hike, but it was enough to get us excited! We each had rice pudding with sugar and cinnamon and one with strawberry puree. Both were truly delicious and make us curious to visit the dairy again. The beer on offer also impressed us!

Are you looking for a place to spend money where you expected more? I can tell you about a visit that was, unfortunately, a complete disappointment. The menu offers nothing exceptional, and the prices are simply exorbitant. A shandy costs €4.50, and a wheat beer in a clay mug (not a wheat glass, which is unknown here) costs a whopping €6.50. Plus, three dishes totaled €60. It makes you wonder what's going on here. The appetizer, a soup of the day, and the main course of country bread topped with cheese were served together. When is that even common? Also disappointing was the waiter's cheeky response (the blond young man with the hair pinned to the front, "then you should have told my colleague") and slammed the plates down. Respect seems to be a foreign word in this restaurant. Addressing guests informally is another sign of rudeness – a clear indication that something is lacking in the service here. My Leberkäse with cabbage and potato salad was disappointing and cost a whopping €19. The Leberkäse was dry, the potato salad completely flavorless. I don't understand the concept of the restaurant – a "better" snack bar, a Bavarian retreat, or a chic restaurant? Questions upon questions that remain unanswered. The service was slow and inattentive, and the excuse "It's the season" unfortunately doesn't help. In other areas, like hospitals, everyone is taken care of, no matter how busy they are. I can't understand the good reviews, and the fact that no one in charge here actively responds to Google makes me wonder. doubt the quality of the business. For us, the rule is...not again. Perhaps everyone decides for themselves whether this is overconfidence or profiteering.

Pleasant terrace, fast service. However, the meals are overpriced and the portions are too small. No additional side dishes available. Rude owner who apparently demands a tip at checkout. Not recommended.

Outrageous prices... Even the tap water is sold at a high price. A slice of Friesentorte costs almost €7! And it's one of the worst cakes I've ever eaten. The other prices on the menu are also far too expensive. Service isn't good either. Only one waitress who lets you pay. We won't be coming here again.

Four of us went there for dinner after the beach. The outdoor seating was lovely, and the service was friendly. We had burgers, sausages, and salad, and rice pudding for dessert. The food was okay, but not as tasty as we hoped. Next time we visit, we'll just have a drink and enjoy the lovely atmosphere.

Small, clear menu, quite expensive, the neighbor sent the cake back because it didn't taste good and our island pancake wasn't quite cooked and cost 16.50.

Very friendly service, delicious food, very comfortable seating, and you can also buy delicious things. I always enjoy coming there. When you leave, you can always take a delicious apple with you.

Our first visit was to the black sausage cart in the square in front of the dairy! A lot has improved since then, but the food and service have always been excellent. Toast with a bratwurst! You can always go without a reservation, and a short wait is sometimes nice. @Team: keep up the good work and never let it spoil your mood!

Like every year: Not only is there the same waitress (the one with the colorful shoes), but everything is still delicious (Zipfel, summer beer).

We've been here a few times, and it's always nice to stop here for a break after a bike ride. The dairy is located on the outskirts of Norderney, near the lighthouse. Even when it's busy, the staff stays organized and is friendly.

We wanted to sit in the tea room and drink tea. Two of us preferred something else. When we asked if that was possible, we received an unfriendly reply: "That's not possible, this is a tea room after all." Even one person not taking anything isn't acceptable. Not even a glass of water. If we wanted something else, we should go to the restaurant. The tea in the restaurant, however, is a simple Dallmeyer tea bag. I can make that at home. After all, we wanted delicious East Frisian tea. The strawberry spritzer tasted like alcohol. The service was incredibly unfriendly, and then they made cheeky comments on top of that. And the prices were touristy. Absolutely disappointing!

The separate tea room is simply divine. Absolutely hygge. Definitely worth a try. For just under 10 euros, you can drink as much tea as you like, including East Frisian tea with Kluntjies and cream. They also serve delicious cakes. The Frisian cake is a delight. The ambiance is lovingly designed. There's a large selection of books to browse. The service is excellent.

The waitress was arrogant and asked us to wait a second. After 45 minutes, we left without eating anything. That was the last time for us.

Maybe we were just a little unlucky. The service was friendly and accommodating when we paid. The Inselschmarrn (2 different portions) was nothing; it wasn't warm enough, and tasted like it came from a packet, warmed up in a microwave, and a bit of apple compote from a can. It used to be much better, one of our group said.

If you don't know where to put your money, you're in good hands here. The menu and drinks are nothing special but at completely overpriced prices. A glass of milk for €3.50 or a wheat beer for €6.50. Hello? Warm food such as a burger for €20!? Normal fish dishes almost 30 €!? Sorry, the catering industry is digging its heels in. Everyone should decide for themselves whether they are overestimating themselves or being usurious. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant.

No Long queues for a table, unfriendly ushers, were ignored and then left

The waitress only came to the table 25 minutes after asking, after ordering a coffee and a piece of cake they were tolerated for another 10 minutes, but then only the coffee... It's a shame, because the ambience and the cake were great. Unfortunately mass processing.
