Wir haben heute wieder hier und sehr begeistert, beim 1. Besuch hatten wir unterschiedliche Burger mit verschiedenen Pommes und beide waren super lecker und knusprig. Heute hatten wir die Scholle und die Spaghetti all´arrabbiata, beides war großartig, die selbstgemachten Nudeln waren perfekt. Wir kommen wieder. 😁😋. Der Service war sehr freundlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, schönes Ambiente. Vielen lieben Dank 😘

Ich habe bei meinem Aufenthalt Norderney jeden Tag dort gefrühstückt. Das Personal ist sehr umsichtig, freundlich und locker. Das Frühstück kann man sich individuell zusammenstellen, auch wenn man großen Hunger hat, ist genug da. Bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt auf Norderney meinen Tag auf Norderney dort mit einem entspannten Frühstück starten.

Wir waren einen Tag auf Norderney. Da wir die erste Schnellfähre genommen haben, wollten wir auf der Insel frühstücken. Zum Glück hatten die besser bewerteten Cafés Ruhetag und wir sind im Friedrich eingekehrt. Wir haben noch einen schönen Platz auf der Terrasse bekommen. Aber die Einrichtung innen war auch sehr schön. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, besonders zu empfehlen ist aber der Ostfriesentee. Sehr zuvorkommende Servicekräfte.

Tolles Lokal...leckeres Essen, super Service und hübsch eingerichtet. Das WC wurde gerade neu gemacht.

Sehr nettes Frühstück im Friedrich. Der Kaffee schmeckt sehr gut. Angenehme Atmosphäre. Bedienung schnell und freundlich.

Ich kann mich nur wiederholen. Bester Burger meines Lebens. Galloway Ziegenkäse Preisselbeeren. Einfach lecker!

Für Vegetarier nicht zu empfehlen. Zwischen Spaghetti all´arrabbiata und Tomatensuppe habe ich den Vegetarischen Burger entdeckt. Der war allerdings eher Bohnenpüree auf Toast, ohne Burgerdeckel und sehr zaghaft gewürzt. Schade.

Wir fahren als Familie mit 2 Kindern dort. Sehr freundlicher Service und hervorragendes Essen. Gerne wieder!

Von vier verschieden Rosé-Weinen keinen auf Lager, nur fuseliger Dornfelder. Im Bezug auf die eigene Speisekarte keine Ahnung von Allergenen, weder im Service, noch in der Küche. Einzig der Platz in der Sonne auf der Terrasse war sehr angenehm. Leider eine der schlechteren Erfahrungen auf Norderney.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Nur ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Der Bacon sollte nicht direkt aus der Pfanne auf den Teller, sondern vorher kurz auf Küchenpapier abtropfen, da mein Essen dadurch leider etwas zu ölig war. Sonst war alles top. Das Sauerteigbrot war aber herrlich.

Philip, Phillip, Filip!! Er ist einfach der Beste und so freundlich. Er sprach Englisch und sorgte dafür, dass sich meine Gruppe von 14 Englischlernenden sofort wohlfühlte. Was für ein Genie!!! Er konnte sich alle unsere Bestellungen merken und war so geduldig mit uns. ✨🙏🏻

Ins Friedrich gehen wir immer nur, um dort den leckeren Rosé Wein zu trinken. Zum angebotenen Essen kann ich nichts sagen. Die Mitarbeiter, die wir erlebt haben, sind alles keine Ostfriesen ;-)

Leckerer Kaffee mit Hafermilch & Kuchen war auch super

Gemütliches modernes Restaurant. Mit sehr netten Service 👌Das Essen war auch super, Pasta und Burger. Mit Knoblauch wurde nicht gespart 😉

Wir waren zum Kaffetrinken gekommen und hatten leider keine allzu freundliche Bedienung. Enttäuscht waren wir vor allem, da es zwar Hafermilch, aber keine einzige vegane speise gab. Der Kaffee wird aus einer Siebträgermaschine hergestellt und das hat man geschmacklich auch gemerkt.

Sehr lecker Essen und schönes Ambiente

Wir waren zu Silvester im Restaurant Friedrich. Es war das Beste, was wir in der einen Woche Urlaub erleben durften. Wir hatten für 2 Personen mit Hund reserviert und haben einen entsprechenden Tisch mit Platz für unseren Hund bekommen. Der Service und das Essen waren sehr gut. Wir kommen wieder.

Gestern Abend waren wir mit 8 Personen zum Silvester Menü. Das Essen kam gleichzeitig, alle 8 Gerichte, wobei nur ein einziges heiß war, alle anderen 7 wären lauwarm bis kalt, erst beim zweiten Anlauf war es heiß. Geschmacklich war es aber sehr gut.

Gepflegtes Restaurant zentral in der Stadtmitte, entspannter und freundlicher Service, wir waren Heiligabend zum Abendessen dort und haben die ruhige Atmosphäre genossen. Essen stimmig und hochwertig. Die 5 Sterne geben wir gerne

Wir haben hier unseren Praxisausflug kulinarisch verfeinert. Es war eine wiedermal angenehme und freundliche Atmosphäre. Das Team ist sehr entgegenkommend und aufmerksam. Das Essen war hervorragend. Alle sind zufrieden und wohlig satt aus dem Friedrich gegangen. Vielen Dank an Alle.

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtetes Lokal mit gepolsterten Sitzbänken und Stühlen und überdachtem Aussenbereich. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zügig, das Essen schmeckt gut. 28,50 für ein Wiener Kalbsschnitzel sind bei der Portionsgröße absolut angemessen. Die Potato Wedges sind auch eine Bestellung wert, ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Tolles Essen sowohl die warmen Gerichte wie auch der Kuchen. Der Service ist das ganze Jahr über wunderbar und sehr freundlich. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne.

Durch die Empfehlung Einheimischer sind wir hier eingekehrt. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden😋😍

The best coffee in town. I've never had such good coffee anywhere else. The homemade cakes are amazing. (The carrot cake tastes like an early Christmas.) The staff is super friendly. The dinner menu is relaxed and straightforward, but we really enjoyed it. The only downside is the restrooms; they could use an overhaul. We'd love to come back. Absolutely recommended for all coffee and cake lovers!

We ordered two Aperol Spritzes at Friedrich Norderney. What we were presented with for €19 was, to say the least, a disgrace. The drink clearly contained hardly any Aperol (easily recognizable by its pale color). Furthermore, half of the glass was ice. A very resourceful restaurateur, in other words. This is how you make money. So avoid this place if you expect a fair deal.

A cozy, small, modern restaurant with outdoor seating. The food is absolutely delicious and highly recommended, as is the excellent selection of drinks. There's something for everyone. The staff is friendly and attentive. I've been coming to the island for five years, and Friedrich is simply a must-visit. :)

Guys, SOS, we ordered a burger (€20!) and they just delivered... a piece of bread with a patty on it. A little arugula on top. No second half of the bun on top. It was half a burger!

We were here for breakfast. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was excellent. The fact that we didn't like the coffee that much is a matter of taste. It gets busier during the day, but you can still enjoy your breakfast in peace, even though the restaurant is located in the middle of the pedestrian zone. Accordingly, there's no sea view, of course, but in our opinion, it's the best breakfast. We liked the coffee better at the Kaffeegenießerei, but that's a matter of taste. Overall, a highly recommended breakfast place. Edit: We went back later for dinner. It was also great.

Update June 25: We booked a short trip over the long weekend relatively spontaneously and stayed at the Friedrich Inn. It was simply fantastic! Great apartment and everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend it! Original review: Very nice café and restaurant with a great and stylish atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed coffee and cake in the afternoon, and everything was delicious. We've definitely decided to have dinner here on our next stay. The only downside: reservations are only for hotel guests or for groups of 8 or more people.

The ambiance was pleasant, but the veggie burger was disappointing. Unfortunately, my burger consisted of just a bun and a patty – no sauce, tomatoes, or pickles. It had little resemblance to a real burger. When I asked about it, I was told it was intended that way, and that I could save calories. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it anymore.

The large breakfast for €17.90 was an absolute failure. Baked rolls from the discounter, sausage too. Nothing homemade, careless and simply designed for walk-in customers to come for breakfast.

One of the best addresses on Norderney for breakfast. Finally no tourist trap where you can get standard, carelessly prepared food for far too high prices. Eggs Benedict and the East Frisian breakfast are particularly recommended.

We have been coming to Friedrich regularly twice a year since it opened. So far, always happy without restrictions. However, twice now we had a mixed salad that was no longer completely fresh, i.e. various brown spots. We also pointed this out. The answer was to forward it. Period, without consequence. That's a shame, also that the greeting from the kitchen has been completely eliminated, but the prices are still up. Like everywhere else at this time. You notice a change over the years.

Wir waren für fünf Tage auf Norderney und haben jedem Abend im Friedrich gegessen. Ein ausnehmend freundlicher Service und angesichts der hervorragenden Küche ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Man kann leider nicht reservieren aber warten am Tresen lohnt sich wirklich.😀

Ordered spaghetti with seafood (€21.50). I received spaghetti with mussels. When I pointed this out, the waitress asked in the kitchen and came back with the chef's advice that this was “your usual portion”. In my opinion you can't act like that. I didn't complain about the portion size but rather the quality/content of the sauce.

Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten bestellt (21,50€). Erhalten habe ich Spaghetti mit Miesmuscheln. Auf meinen entsprechenden Hinweis hat die Kellnerin in der Küche nachgefragt und kam mit dem Hinweis des Kochs zurück, das sei „die bei Ihnen übliche Portion“. So kann man m. E. nicht agieren. Ich hatte nicht die Portionsgröße sondern Wertigkeit/Inhalt der Sauce bemängelt.

**1 Star Rating:** Unfortunately I can only give this restaurant one star. I have never eaten such a low-quality “original” Viennese veal schnitzel. When I asked the waiter about the food, he reacted completely unprofessionally and ignored my concerns. He then preferred to avoid further contact, which only worsened the overall impression. For my daughter I ordered a portion of pasta, which was a joke even for a child's portion. In the end, my daughter ate the schnitzel out of “necessity” because she couldn’t fill a child’s belly with a portion of pasta for 8 euros. It's a shame because I expected more. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Wir standen ohne Reservierung bei Friedrich vor der Tür und hatten richtig Glück- einen super Fenstertisch! Ca. 10 Min später war der Laden knackevoll. Das Essen war richtig lecker und ausreichend. Kann ich nur allerliebst empfehlen!

Soooo friends... I've never experienced that either. We got a table, then the menu...and then we were simply ignored. The waiters didn't seem motivated from the first moment and stood not a meter away from us and chatted cheerfully. Too bad...we then got up and left...

Sorry, that was a total failure. I had a risotto with chanterelles and beef strips. This was actually rice in water sludge without spices, beef was fried to death. My wife had saltimbocca, the meat rather boiled, in a sauce that was more like slush. Underground. We complained about this on site, but were told that it was normal. With spaghetti for the children and drinks over 100 euros. Just bad. Never again, we have never eaten so badly. Too bad.

Hier sitzt man - auch ohne Reservierung bekamen wir schnell einen Tisch - im Außenbereich mit Blick auf die Fußgängerzone und flanierende Menschen. Die Nudelgerichte mit Lachs bzw. Hähnchen, Broccoli und Artischocken schmeckten sehr gut. Der Service war aufmerksam und schnell Hier kann man nicht viel falsch machen, wenn man ohne Reservierung auf der Suche nach einem qualitativ sehr guten Abendessen ist.

Friedrichs is my favorite restaurant on Norderney. The employees are all so friendly and competent, and the food on offer is great. For breakfast, dinner or coffee & cake.

If you want to judge the quality of the restaurant from the sanitary conditions (toilet), then this one really isn't recommended.

What can I say a really very good restaurant the Wiener Schnitzel with veal as it should be and incredibly crispy the burgers incredibly tasty and juicy together with the top service what more could you want. Only the view isn't a sea view but that's complaining at a very high level.

Wirklich ein fantastisches Restaurant auf Norderney,die Gerichte sind wirklich sehr lecker der Service schnell und freundlich. Was will man mehr besonderes das Wiener Schnitzel ein absoluter Traum mit Kalbfleisch wie es sich gehört knusprig bis zum letzten Stück. Auch der Burger sehr zu empfehlen aber besonders die Wedges einfach perfekt.
