A real disappointment! With high expectations and equipped with a €600 voucher, we arrived at Tim Raue's on a Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. sharp – the enjoyment could begin. The amuse-bouche was seven times on one plate – promising. The quality of the individual dishes was excellent, except that over the course of the evening, the feeling hadn't developed that the spice was too spicy. The spiciness is sold as an Asian inspiration from the chef. Unfortunately, it's too one-sided and tiring for the palate. The service is very fast; no sooner has one course been cleared than the next one is on the table. Colorful plastic cutlery may not be to everyone's taste. Nor are obtrusive logos on the staff's clothing. Dessert also comes with a large cardboard flyer with a QR code, allowing you to order even more great items from the online shop. And the final highlight: After having to enter your voucher code when making your reservation and having mentioned the voucher at the beginning, the bill was presented without taking it into account (after all, it was more than 50% of the bill). Following my intervention, a correction was made, which was silently placed on the table. Especially in retrospect, the unpleasant impression remains that the focus here was not on the guest, but on business. My conclusion: There are better options, in Berlin and elsewhere.

We had high expectations for dinner at the Funkturm Berlin with Tim Raue – unfortunately, they weren't fulfilled. The food was disappointing: visually plain, tasteless. What particularly stood out, however, was the service – uncoordinated, inattentive, and overwhelmed. This is unacceptable for a restaurant with this name and price point. The view is beautiful, but unfortunately, that alone isn't enough. We wouldn't come again.

Truly fantastic food. The restaurant itself was unexpectedly "normal." The service was generally excellent. At first, everything seemed a bit rushed, as if we were rushing through the meal. And, unfortunately, when we were asked if we wanted champagne as an aperitif, I asked what other options were available. The man said, uh, yes... white or rosé champagne. We chose one. Later, looking at the menu, it became clear that there were, of course, a ton of great alternatives. People should be able to handle that.

I was really looking forward to this evening, not least because of Tim Raue's appearance on the TV series Star Kitchen, but I had correspondingly high expectations. Unfortunately, these weren't met. The ambiance was okay. I was really disappointed with the food. Many of the dishes were so salty that everything quickly tasted the same. For example, in one course, the highlight of which should have been the shrimp, I couldn't taste the shrimp because of all the salt. Especially considering the rather hefty price, I was very disappointed. Unfortunately, even the very friendly service couldn't salvage this. The only memories that remain are the salt and the awkward drinking glasses 😄

I like eating stars and this was the second worst experience. How you can even get a star with these clumsy, sweetly cheap sauces sheds a telling light on the Michelin guide, which is increasingly a counterindicator for me. A lot of money for a little marketing. It's amazing how many guests/reviewers (not necessarily identical, just who writes the reviews... 🤔) seem to have no idea about food.

I am probably not the best audience for a place like this but the price v/s performance ratio of this place is not justified. For anoyone wondering, it costs 292 euros per person without ANY drinks. Yes, it's a multi-course menu and each dish is carefully crafted but it is exorbitant price to pay for a restaurant that has a huge picture/painting of a garbage dump right in front of all the tables. Now the food was great. We were quite mind blown by a few dishes but after the 3rd or the 4th dish, the flavors started getting repetitive. But maybe my palette is not refined enough to distinguish between the flavors. But I would still rate the food quite highly. The main disappointment is the service. The main motto of the service staff here seems to be 'appear as nonchalant as possible'. Some of them were way too sassy to even answer a question properly and some of them just didn't care. I asked one of the staff members if I can remove a few dishes from this meal as this is a bit too much food for me (it's a 7-course menu) and the person said that he will check and get back. He never got back. I had to ask 2 more people to finally get an answer. There were other moments too but that's a story for another day. Major disappointment with the service was how they treated my boyfriend's birthday. So we spent 680 euros (2 people) as a birthday treat for my boyfriend and I had requested the restaurant beforehand that we are celebrating a special occasion but all they did on the day was they placed a candle with a generic message (Happy birthday from Tim Raue) on our table and gave us an extremely teeny-tiny desert at the end of our meal. I wish you guys have done a bit more. If needed, I could have paid to make this day a bit more special for him but this whole thing was a big let-down.

The restaurant undoubtedly has charm and an interesting atmosphere. Unfortunately, that evening we were placed in the basement area, where the air was quite stuffy - which noticeably affected the overall impression. The room was well lit and the service overall was competent; one lady in the team in particular made a noticeable effort. Nevertheless, there was a strange, elusive atmosphere in the room that couldn't quite be classified. As someone who has dined at a variety of restaurants all over the world - from Europe to Asia to Central America - I was unfortunately not impressed with the culinary offerings. The dishes seemed like classic German home cooking, interpreted in a modern way with influences from Japanese, French and Chinese cooking techniques. However, there was nothing that surprised or thrilled the taste. When I read the menu, I could already imagine what each dish would taste like - and that's exactly how it was. It was missing that certain something, the culinary “wow”. Given the price level, I would also have liked either the chef or the restaurant manager to personally introduce themselves at the table and ask for feedback. This personal touch, which is a given in many countries, is unfortunately still missing far too often in Germany - even in upscale restaurants. Conclusion: A place with potential, but currently still has room for improvement - both in terms of atmosphere, culinary creativity and customer proximity.

Went to this place for the first time 10 years ago and got sublime creations of understated, sophisticated flavour balances based on (Hong Kong) Chinese cuisine mixed with a bit of Germany, France and Japan. Not cheap but soooo good! Tonight, only a few dishes were sublime including the super elegant amuse bouche serving of various 'pickles'. The wines were outstanding. The service by our main server was impeccable. However, too many dishes were drowned in too intense, off balance sauces with too many flavour additions from especially the Thai cuisine. Also, some sublime produce like a bresse chicken, a duck and some wagyu beef was cooked in a way that did not honour the quality of the produce. And, the signature dishes were in general a complete tourist trap rip off in terms of price/serving size.

GRANDIOS! Bereits der erste kleine Bissen hat mich komplett abgeholt. Dieses Gefühl hat sich bis zum Dessert durchgezogen. Keine einzige Schwäche. Viele junge Mitarbeiter im Service, hoch professionell und einfach nur freundlich. Der Sommelier landete bei mir einen Volltreffer. Auch ich bin ein Unternehmer, welcher aus kleinen Verhältnissen kommt und ich habe mich immer sehr angesprochen gefühlt von der Person Tim Raue. Das Restaurant, das Essen haben mich nur zu einem absoluten Fan gemacht. An alle, die das lesen….., aufhören, dies zu lesen und einen Tisch reservieren. 😉

Service was excellent! We really felt like royalty. ~10 portions ~4h of lovely experience . Every round, they changed the entire cutlery “set". Somehow only the women waitresses were carrying the heavy trays… :( Food was nice, creative, but no tastes that swept us off our feet. The menu is fixed you can only pick 1 of 2 ver. We shared, so we tasted both. In our opinion, the price is unreasonable compared to what we got.

The food was nothing to complain about. Unfortunately we missed a corresponding service. Non-alcoholic drinks had to be asked for by brand, and sometimes items were only offered after they had been explicitly asked for. Long waiting times for drinks, even though a waiter was constantly walking past the table. No-go: the plates were not clean. I have complained about this several times. You could see water stains under the light. They said this was normal. When I showed with my napkin that this could be polished away, nothing more was said. I expect clean plates from a 2 star restaurant!

I cannot fold anything at this place. At a cool location with a nice decor you can enjoy food of world class. Flavor after flavor explosions. Every dish plated with care. We had reserved weeks in advance and were really looking forward to it. Expectations were exceeded. Without meaning to be derogatory, you feel like you're "something better" for an evening. Service perfect, don't know what could be done better. Very friendly, accommodating, attentive but not intrusive. There is also a sommelier and his 70 page wine list 😊 There was always interaction between all employees, everyone had their tasks. The ambience is clean, stylish and very clean - in the dining room as well as in the sanitary facilities. The menu is very well coordinated. We chose KOI once and KOLIBRI once. One taste explosion after another. Very well seasoned, so I wouldn't recommend it for those who otherwise eat very little spice or salt. First there was a greeting from the kitchen, then the individual courses at a great distance and before dessert there was another little something from the kitchen. Personally, I had different expectations from the dim sum, the course didn't do so well for me in terms of taste and spices, I actually expected a dumpling, but of course it's a matter of taste. To the eye alone, all the courses were perfect. Overall, a very successful evening and a total experience for us. You can do it 😉 Here again praise for the service and cuisine. Unfortunately we didn't meet Mr. Raue.

We had an amazing time at Tim Raue restaurant. The food was excellent (the langustine was amazing but it was the meatball and the pork knuckle that particularly stood out to me). The wine paring was also great but it was the service (by Long) that have made our evening. We always felt taken care off, never rushed or left feeling forgotten (meal took 3+ hrs!). Going to Tim Raue was a fantastic experience that I can truly recommend!

Vor Kurzem hatten meine Frau und ich das Vergnügen, im 2-Sterne-Restaurant Tim Raue in Berlin zu Abend zu essen – und es war ein echtes Highlight! Ich vergebe 5 von 5 Sternen, denn die Qualität der Speisen war schlichtweg herausragend. Die Aromenvielfalt und die geschmackliche Tiefe jedes einzelnen Gerichts waren beeindruckend. Besonders die Soßen, Jus und Suds haben das Menü auf ein neues Level gehoben – intensiv, fein abgestimmt und perfekt integriert. Unser persönlicher Favorit im Koi-Menü war das DIM SUM MARONE – eine geschmackliche Offenbarung! Die anderen Gänge waren ebenfalls auf höchstem Niveau, auch wenn der Hype um den WASABI KAISERGRANAT oder die ENTE "MARIE-ANNE" für meinen Geschmack etwas übertrieben ist. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen war der Service: Während das Restaurant am frühen Abend noch nicht voll war, gab es vereinzelt Grüppchenbildung und Gespräche im Team – das wirkte stellenweise etwas unaufmerksam. Modern und locker ist sicherlich gewollt, aber der Service sollte die Exzellenz der Küche konsequent weitertragen. Das ist jedoch nur ein Detail in einem insgesamt fantastischen Erlebnis. Tim Raue beweist einmal mehr, warum er zu den besten Köchen Deutschlands zählt. Definitiv eine Empfehlung für alle, die außergewöhnliche Aromen und handwerkliche Perfektion lieben!

I visited Tim Raue a few years ago. The menu was artificially prolonged, apparently to increase wine consumption, after 4.5 hours we were grateful to be relieved. Every walk was pure boredom, I couldn't recognize my own handwriting. I have several thousand restaurant visits behind me, the good and the bad remain in my memory.

Experience gastronomy at its finest, which of course has its price. Everything is very harmonious and not stiff. However, the menu with suckling pig knuckle didn't appeal to me, at some point I only tasted mustard and sauerkraut. Unfortunately that didn't work out for me, but the craftsmanship is top class. The koi menu would have been the better choice. Still, big praise overall. The owner had the Königsberger Klops in exchange for the pork knuckle, €20 extra, which wasn't entirely understandable. But well, that's just the way it is and it doesn't matter when it comes to the total price for the evening.

So if you want something super good and just something different, then you've come to the right place. In my opinion, the menu is great, everyone can find something. The service is top, the atmosphere is beautiful and it tasted excellent. An experience you have to have. Thank you for this delight

Conclusion: Incredible density of aromas. You're basically getting slapped all the time. Too much spiciness? We don't care! How much acid can you tolerate? Let's see! Always to the limit. Service very reserved, classic Berlin. Very special overall! But I don't think I'll get the 3rd star so quickly, maybe I'm missing a bit of heart for that.

Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung gefiel mir gar nicht, habe direkt vor mir ein Notschild gehabt ,die Beleuchtung war zu hell- total ungemütlich.Das Essen war sehr gut, aber man hat 3 Menüs , mindestens 7 Gänge oder 8 - ,das war mir zu viel und Wahlmöglichkeit ist dies dann auch nicht.Die Auswahl der offenen Weine und die Preise - nicht optimal und überteuert.War schon mehrmals in der Brasserie in Konstanz, nun in Berlin, würde kein anderes Restaurant von Tim Raue besuchen.Steht nur der Name-eigentlich auch Käse! 700 € für 2 Personen - dafür muss es perfekt sein , aber dies war nicht so!!

Wow! It's almost outrageously expensive, but it's a ** restaurant run by a celebrity chef. The food is of the highest standard, the service is impeccable and the ambience is appropriate. You will also receive an individual menu card if you change your order or make additions to the menu. Very much attention to detail. Wine accompaniment expensive, but very convincing and top!

Estuve allí en un viaje a Berlín el año pasado. TBH como chino esperaba más elementos chinos en la comida, pero la comida resultó ser más de una sartén - giro asiático en los sabores alemanes. Sin embargo, todo se ejecutó a un alto nivel y los platos tenían un sabor fuerte pero sofisticado. En particular, la torta de aguijón de abeja fue uno de los mejores postres que he probado. Mi novia y yo elegimos diferentes menús y ambos coincidimos en que el menú KOI era ligeramente mejor.

I’m not sure exactly why, but perhaps because my expectations were so high, I wasn’t really impressed. The food was great (so 5 stars for food) and the service was okay. It felt a bit too ordinary for what I had hoped would be a more memorable experience. I think I need to try it again to form a clearer opinion, as I have mixed feelings for now. Something was missing so I will give this restaurant another shot.

We were here for lunch. The menu was excellent, nice component, great wines. Small point of criticism: too many different staff at the table, too busy, we had a later time and therefore the feeling that you had to finish quickly. A cappuccino with soy milk shouldn't look like "failed" at a 2-star restaurant. Also only soy milk, what a shame.

Stuffy Asian-fusion boredom that is neither fish nor meat. Culinary wise, it is overshadowed by Good Friends and every Ishin restaurant in Berlin. Showy wine list with bottle prices of up to 16 thousand (!) EURO. Who wants that today?

I had such a good time! I got invited there as a thank you - never been to such a high end restaurant. I have some restrictions food wise (can't have Milk protein) and I never felt better taken care of and like the staff is really looking out for me. They even called in advance to talk to me about the options and what is possible. Everyone was super attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. I loved the food!! Everything was incredibly tasty and there were combinations that just broadened my food horizon. I have no actual comparison on this level, but my company did and they thought the food was outstanding as well. So all over, if you want to do something special, you won't do wrong here ♡

There were three of us there yesterday. Paid 1500€+. Menu with wine accompaniment. Did the visit make me happy.No!!! It's not a menu or a visit to a restaurant in the classic sense, it's a taste event. I had this experience in Thailand for a few euros and had full plates and no teaspoon portions. A good Thai in Germany can do something similar for a tenth of the price. When I go out to eat, I need a good restaurant and not a hyped taste event location. My overall rating was good, the wine accompaniment was excellent. But the store doesn't make you happy.

Dear Tim Raue, Where to begin with this post? I vividly remember in 2018 sitting at the television in the living room of a home in Florida coming across your episode of Chef's Table on Netflix and upon starting it, I was instantly mesmerized with your restaurant, your food and with Berlin. I appreciated and connected with your story and felt so captivated learning about the winding road it took for you to open a 2-Star Michelin restaurant. That is all it took for me have the desire to experience Restaurant Tim Raue in person. And so, a couple of Fridays ago I finally did. It was better than anything I could have imagined. I was blown away by the service received at the restaurant from start to finish, as though everyone was moving in perfect harmony while playing a complex symphony. Upon being seated, we were tended to our every need and never felt neglected. I was looking forward to the menu being served and loved that I got a card outlining every single dish being presented that evening to me. Now, if we're talking food, I am so happy that I entrusted my palette to your kitchen. Every course was so perfectly presented and upon tasting it, I was met with a spectrum of flavors that worked so harmoniously well together. If I had to pick my favorite course, it would definitely be the Wasabi Langoustine. I had wanted to try it every since I saw it on Chef's Table and it was divine. I also tasted things I hadn't ever tried before, like imperial Caviar with sprat, which blew my mind with its umami flavor and wagyu beef cheek, which was braised to perfection. I really am so grateful to have had the privilege to dine at your restaurant. It is the single most memorable food experience I have ever had in my life and I will never forget how special I felt and how immaculate the food was. Please continue inspiring everyone at your restaurant to doing amazing work so that many more people can experience the unbridled joy I felt with every moment dining at Restaurant Tim Raue. I've traveled globally for many years as a businessman and was asked to join my work colleagues here. From the very second I entered the restaurant to my last step in the restaurant. We were treated like royalty. The service was extraordinarily amazing and I am extremely sensitive to this. The food was beyond my wildest expectations. The wine selection was off the charts. I will be back soon, I hope. One more thing.....THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE and FOOD I have ever had. #1. Thank you Chef Tim and Team for providing an experience to remember.

Sounds promising, but it doesn't hold up. The oysters and mussels were wonderful, but the rest was unfortunately disappointing. The ceviche was boring. Very small plates, but high prices. It seems uninspired and random, with no real common thread. The service was too arrogant for me. There was no recommendation or advice about the wine and the plates were carelessly placed in a very strange sequence. If the tipping expectations are not met, you as a guest will be treated condescendingly. That hasn't happened to me in a long time. I expected a lot and unfortunately I'm not sad that I can't do it again here.

A culinary expedition of the highest order Located in Neukölln, in a very beautiful square with pleasant bars, restaurants, and an outdoor meeting point for the neighborhood, you'll find the Nordic-style restaurant Hallmann & Klee. Upon arrival, you immediately feel welcome and at ease: the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly without being pretentious, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed. The menu read promisingly, and the wine pairing sounded exciting. As an essential add-on, we ordered the potatoes with whey and lovage. The entire menu was fantastic and resulted in many goosebumps-inducing moments. Sarah Hallmann and her team have an incredible flair for combining flavors and creating a culinary experience from seemingly simple ingredients. Sarah aptly described the potatoes with lovage and whey as "like a hug," and along with the feeling of being at home, that was exactly the feeling this dish evoked in me. And this is just one example of what the individual dishes on the menu evoke. This is much more than great cooking; it's a culinary and emotional expedition. Patricia Lee's wine pairing was the perfect and unerring match for the dishes, with exciting discoveries.

First of all, the service was great. There was only a sweet and vegetable course among the meals, which I did not like at all. Of course, this has to do with my own taste. The wine Somelier recommended to us was amazing. In terms of atmosphere, it was very enjoyable to watch Berlin from above on the roof. If I compare it to the fine dining restaurants I have experienced before, I can say that it is in the last place. The ambiance was a performance with loud music and nothing to do with the food.

Dinner with a Berlin-sized menu (a selection unparalleled in the three-star category). Service was warm and, in the truest sense of the word, on equal terms (the sommelier sometimes sits down at the table to explain the wines). There's still room for improvement in the areas of order taking (repeatedly asking if an aperitif was desired, even though one had already been ordered) and the welcome (waiting time). The menu and its dishes thrive on incredible harmony and outstanding flavor combinations.
