Hallmann und Klee in Berlin

This was my second time at the Hallmann and I was thrilled on both evenings. I come from the catering industry myself and that's where you pay attention to a lot of things, but everything is just right. From the service with extremely good wine knowledge to a well-selected menu, to the minimalist furnishings with very pleasant lighting, to the really fine-tuned menu! For the compilation of the menu and one star, I think the menu price is calculated very fairly. I was particularly blown away by the vegetarian menu, as a fish and meat lover! Thanks to the whole team, I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Pleasant restaurant with very good dishes that, at first glance, are as reserved as the restaurant ambience, but then reveal many surprising (tasty) details. The drink accompaniment was also interesting, but above all harmonious!

It's been a few months since my girlfriend invited me to Hallmann and Klee. We specifically look for companies run by women, but I can't say whether it's because I spent the best five hours of my life here. The team has incredible energy that is better than any wellness holiday, the food is a wonderful mix of heart and genius. For me the visit was a special experience and every cent was an investment in a better world.

Excellent – ​​especially with the non-alcoholic beverage accompaniment! Each course had at least one culinary highlight or flavor twist (such as salted lemon, Sichuan pepper foam on tea, etc.).

The food was very impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire set menu. I also really appreciated the ambience and design of the space—it was lively without feeling overcrowded, and the blend of chatter and music created a pleasant background for our dinner. However, I’d like to provide some feedback on the service, which felt quite uneven. Despite noting my date’s shellfish allergy, the staff repeatedly offered us oysters and later poured oyster sauce over a dish that could have otherwise been enjoyed without worrying about the allergen. Additionally, a glass of wine that wasn’t finished was taken away too soon, and the pacing between dishes was sometimes too long, which disrupted the overall flow of the experience. That said, we absolutely loved the food and still recommend visiting the restaurant. We hope the service improves so Hallmann und Klee can shine even brighter.

Splendid! Great food in an exciting atmosphere: here Neukölln is still authentically poor and migrant. You feel right in the middle of life. Luckily, the begging homeless people aren't allowed in - you wouldn't want to smell them sipping champagne.

This restaurant is a perfect example of how simplicity, great ingredients and thoughtful service can lead to an unforgettable experience.

This place is up there with the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. And, as people who live to travel, we’ve tried everything from Parisian temples of gastronomy with three Michelin stars (read very good but also very, very expensive, with a questionable price:overall experience ratio) to street food in Peru, and everything in between. The restaurant is a good size, big enough to have a nice buzz, small enough to feel intimate, and simply and tastefully decorated with a clean, modern vibe. We had the “nicht-vegetarisch” menu including the cheese course and the drink pairing, starting with the oysters and a pre-dinner drink. Each course was, in its own way, delicious but the whole was more than the sum of its parts. The menu came together beautifully. The different flavours and textures made a playful, but harmonious, overall experience. And the paired drinks took the meal to the next level. The service was personable and attentive, and we had a very pleasant and memorable evening. I’d rate Hallman & Klee at higher than one Michelin star. Gault&Millau gives them three black toques, which signifies a remarkable restaurant. I’d agree with that call.

It has been our absolute favorite restaurant in Berlin for years. We had both versions - vegetarian and non-vegetarian - and both tasted very intense, fine and simply delicious. The service is authentic and very friendly. And despite the Michelin star, it’s anything but aloof.

Sobre todo, las ideas personales de Thomas sobre cómo se eligió el vino (bueno, y un vermut mezclado y arroz / vino de trigo) para mejorar la comida realmente elevó nuestra cena más allá de nuestras expectativas. La comida y el vino era tan interesante, variado y hermoso. El ambiente en el restaurante es sencillo, fresco y acogedor. Nos fuimos sintiéndonos satisfechos sin estar demasiado llenos.

Sensational! Really great. I was there with my husband at the beginning of September and we ate and drank excellently. The wine accompaniment was great and my non-alcoholic drink accompaniment was a real highlight. I've never received it in this form. I don't want to say anything else about the menu, you should try it yourself. In any case, we felt very comfortable, the service was easy to adapt to us and the atmosphere was pleasantly informal. A restaurant with a Michelin star. For €98 you get a six-course dinner. But in fact there are more of them, because there are aperitifs, as well as additional desserts. You can choose between dinner for vegetarians or not. Also, if you don't like something from the selected set, you can choose a dish from another set. All dishes from the non-vegetarian dinner (we chose this one) are very refined and tasty. You can also choose a "paring" of drinks - alcoholic or non-alcoholic. For this, you pay 65 or 60 euros, respectively. Each dish is served with its own drink. In the case of an alcoholic set, these are different types of wine. The restaurant impressed with its cuisine, atmosphere and service. I definitely recommend it for a visit in Berlin.

The menu that me and my daughter had on Saturday was sensational! Both the individual courses were great in their own right, as was the overall composition of the menu including the wine accompaniment! The restaurant is cozy to casual and the service is extremely friendly and attentive without overdoing it! A wonderful place to enjoy good cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere!

The dinner here was absolutely great. The food was amazing. The showstopper was definitely the fresh pasta cacio e Pepe with this incredible ripened/cured cream cheese from Switzerland. Paired together with a nice Aligote with citrus notes, this course was just truly exceptional. The service was on point as well. Very attentive and perfect timing. 4hrs went by like nothing and we never had empty glasses. I really Want to point out the atmosphere here. The tables are not too close to each other, the lighting is perfectly cosy and not too dark nor too bright. This made the evening even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely come back 😊

The “Kleeschen” restaurant is beautifully located in the middle of the town, opposite the old monastery complex. The ideal place to stop after a visit and a walk. We ate there again after 3 years and it was another wonderful stay. The menu is varied, the food is really delicious and the service is just friendly and warm! Also: My hat, which I had forgotten there, was kindly sent to me by post without any problems! We'll definitely be back!!!

The place is bright and inviting, not as funky and out of the ordinary as one often experiences. The evening couldn't have been more perfect, absolutely recommended! We really had an incredible amount of fun having dinner at Hallmann & Klee! The personal highlight was clearly the Wagyu with peas and caviar. Every course was a pleasure and the drink accompaniment was very well coordinated!

A really great and friendly place. The food was really very tasty. The langoustine was particularly great. Personally, I found the menu (even compared to other restaurants at the same level/1 Michelin star) and the individual plates to be very small. There were a few small points that happened that were a bit of a shame considering the price (e.g. wine only came after the plate was already on the table or the wrong drink), otherwise I can highly recommend it here. really great!

Amazing food, fantastic flavours and the alcohol free pairing was exceptional. This combination was simply perfect. The service team was knowledgeable and friendly. The whole experience was superb. It got kind of noisy when the restaurant filled up. But overall super good.

Lovely experience from start to finish, a beautiful place, simple but with attention to detail, very interesting and tasty dishes and extremely helpful and accommodating staff without being pretentious. The set menus are excellent but what is even more impressive is the ability and capacity to adapt to individual needs / preferences. An excellent experience at a really good value for money for a restaurant of this level.

What a wonderful restaurant! It was one of my top culinary experiences in Berlin. We had the non-veggie menu with alcohol-free drink pairing. First of all the savoury courses were just amazing. Everything was very well prepared and balanced - but in combination with the drinks it all went up to a whole other level. The drinks complemented all dishes perfectly, big thanks to the sommelier for this amazing job. Really hard to say which dish was the best, all had their own twist. We had the feeling that dessert is not their strength, compared to all the savoury dishes before but it was still good. The service was attentive and really nice. We also liked the laidback atmosphere outside at the Böhmi. I can 100% recommend this place and the star is more than well deserved :)

Trotz kleiner geschmacklicher Highlights waren wir insgesamt doch sehr enttäuscht. Die Portionen sind wirklich sehr klein und wenig anregend angerichtet! Vielleicht ist die Schlichtheit ja Konzept aber so spartanische Teller haben wir noch in keinem Restaurant erlebt. Bei dem Hauptgang Taube erhielten wir nur eine kleine wenn auch köstliche Taubenbrust, darunter ein teelöffelgroßes Rhabarbermus und etwas ebenfalls sehr gelungene Soße. Schade! Eine Vorspeise war ein erdiges Kartoffelpüree mit Liebstöckelschaum, gut aber nicht besonders und ebenfalls klein. Letzteres hätte zur Taube gepasst und nicht als Einzelgang. Der Käsegang nicht einmal Esslöffelgroß (16€ extra zum Menüpreis), ebenso das Dessert eine kleine Esslöffelportion mitten auf dem Teller ohne Deko. Ein bestellter Wein war nicht vorrätig, der bestellte empfohlene Ersatzwein war nach der ersten Flasche ebenfalls aus und es wurde ein Ersatzwein empfohlen, der auf Nachfrage des Preises aber wesentlich teurer war....Bevor man einem Tisch mit 4 Personen einen Wein empfiehlt, sollte man vorher wissen ob man weitere Flaschen davon vorrätig hat oder dann Kulanz zeigen und den passenden Wein zum selben Preis anbieten. Menü 98€, denkt man fairer Preis für ein Michelinrestaurant, aber hier ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt!

After quite a long time thinking about visiting Hallmann & Klee, we finally made it. If you think about it and are able to afford it: book it! We had a very very good time, food is amazing, wine pairing could be shared and is a must, menus could be adjusted on a course basis between veg and non veg. Service was attentive and spot on. Standout dishes were the scallop, the dove and the kohlrabi, which doesn’t mean that the rest was not also absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for this evening!

I was here shortly before the star award and was also wondering why it hadn't been awarded yet. Now the time has come and the star is well deserved. A fantastic menu. My highlights were the Wagyu tartare with sunflowers and the mashed potatoes with lovage. In addition, a super-professional and at the same time friendly and unobtrusive service. A great restaurant!

... und ebenso wichtig zu erwähnen, der gute und entspannte Service auch. Wir waren Ende März, (zufällig) gerade 2 Tage nach der Nachricht über den errungenen Michelin Stern dort und es war toll. War das Wagyu schon sehr gut (einen Tick kräftig die Sonnenblumencrème), so kam die Jakobsmuschel wirklich großartig daher. Ganz wunderbar auch die Kartoffel und die Desserts. Beim Hauptgang Taube schieden sich bei uns die Geister; nicht bezogen auf die Qualität oder das Handwerk, sondern weil Taube beim Rest meiner Familie unterschwellig immer etwas "Zurückhaltung" auslöst. Nach meiner Erfahrung geht das vielen Menschen so, so dass es schon ein mutiger Hauptgang ist, objektiv (wenn man Taube mag) war die Taube aber natürlich klasse. Wenn es an dem wirklich rundherum schönen Abend etwas zu kritisieren geben soll, dann nur, dass die "Portionen" der (sehr stimmigen) Weinbegleitung doch etwas sehr klein ausfallen, da dürfte/könnte/sollte es doch jeweils ein Schluck mehr sein.

Experienced this nice restaurant just right after it got its Michelin star. Simple, casual but warm interior, the service was attentive and friendly. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus looked interesting, but went with the meat version. The food definitely deserved the star, simple presentation yet sophisticated flavor underneath. You can tell the creativity by their turning usual dish with some interesting twists. The wine pairing was also well chosen, the fun part was you can always expect some wines which are not common to find in any shop or market. There was also a natural wine, which was our first experience with natural wines, the funky smell was strange but it accompanied the food quit well. At the end there was also an additional cake as a surprise for us, thoughtful nice details. We can see us to try this cute restaurant again in the future with the menu changed.

I went here with my girlfriend to celebrate a new job. Reservations were easy to make directly on site with a slick interface. We were quickly seated and the staff was remarkably friendly, inviting, and knowledgeable about all their offerings. They had a few add ons (oysters, an additional course option, and beverages) - the menus were split into two prix fixe options: vegetarian & a traditional menu with meat and seafood. I was impressed by every dish: that's no exaggeration. Even the bread and butter were exceptional. The drink pairings were out of this world. The non alcoholic pairing was absurdly on the nose, absolutely enhancing every bite It ended up being a 3 hour experience and it has come up in our conversations over a week later which really feels like an exceptional return on investment. It is a somewhat indulgent experience that I would do again and again if I could. The menu is heavily influenced by the seasons, so hopefully I can get into that sort of cadence- it's just phenomenal and I long to go back.

I was blown away by the amazing food, the scallop-dish was probably the best dish I've ever tasted. Great wine. Can't recommend this place enough if your looking for nicer dinner out. Lovely service, was comfortable eating solo at on of the the bar tables by he window.

Everything is coordinated extremely well and with attention to detail. The service was very friendly, authentic and the breaks between the individual courses were very harmonious. We had a seat with a view of the kitchen, which we really liked. In addition to the actual menu, there were various amuses before and after the menu. These were both a promising start and a perfect conclusion. It's a great experience to eat here.

Best fine dining menu I've eaten in a long time. Absolutely top value for money, friendly service, nice ambience, creative dishes - no one goes home hungry here. Highly recommended for fine dining “beginners” due to the relaxed atmosphere. We will be back.

We used to be regular guests here for brunch and yesterday we had our evening fine dining format for the first time. We really liked everything. The concept of the menu, ingredients, preparation and presentation were great. The same applied to the attentive, pleasant and friendly service. We had the non-alcoholic beverage accompaniment, which was also great fun. I hope and believe that Hallmann and Klee won't have to wait long for the first star.

Amazing experience at hallman and Klee! We decided to have the vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus to have the whole experience, and it came as a very nice surprise that we did not have an overwhelming preference for the meat menu (and loving meat). The highlights for us where: Wagyu carpaccio with Jerusalem artichoke, super tasty and great textures. Tomatoes, I do not love tomatoes but this dish was exceptional. Artichoke and truffle, the sauce was very trufflely and delicious. Pasta with cheese, I love cheese and it was a very cheese forward dish. Both the deer and the oyster mushroom, the sauces were delicious, the meat very smoky and the mushrooms super delicious. Would definitely come again! Finally, service was super kind and attentive, props to them.

Essen war ok, Berliner Hipsterküche eben = MischMasch aus ganzer Welt + modische Unkraut auf den Tellern. Bedienung war extrem lästig, sie wollen ihr Geld so sehr entschuldigen, dass Sie nicht für ein Moment in Ruhe gelassen werden. 400euro für zwei Personen unverschämt überteuert- deswegen keine Empfehlung. Aber psychologisch klug: wäre es teuer, würden alle unzufrieden gehen - ist es peinlich überteuert- schämt man sich und überredet sich selbst "es war nicht so schlimm" und bleibt konform :-) Für gute Marketingstrategie ein Punkt

Alles war top. Essen sehr sehr toll! Kreative zeitgenössische Küche. Weine waren spitze und die alkoholfreie Getränke top und kreativ. Wir hatten wirklich einen wunderschönen Abend. Vielen Dank auch an das aufmerksame, freundliche und vorallem sehr kompetente Personal!

As foodies, we have tried many restaurants, including top Michelin restaurants, and this one is completely up to par both gastronomically and in terms of service. However, it is not over-pretentious like some of these places can be. The food was excellent in flavor composition and visual expression. The service was top-notch, paying attention to the guests' needs and the food without lecturing us about the origins and production of the ingredients. We will happily return to this wonderful place and highly recommend it

Ein ausgezeichneter Abend - besonders nach einem großen hin und her, wo wir uns in der großen kulinarischen Auswahl Berlins, niederlassen sollen. Das Essen hatte einen ganz besonderen Geschmack und man ist bei jedem Gang auf eine neue Entdeckungsreise der verschiedenen Geschmäcker gegangen. Man sitzt sehr angenehm, mit Blick auf den schönen Platz vor der Tür. Man kann sich super unterhalten und das Restaurant strahlt eine wohlfühl-Atmosphäre aus. Der Service war sehr zugewandt und freundlich.

Sehr ambitioniertes Team. Superfreundliche Gastgeberin. Öl in jedem Gang und sogar auf einem Getränk ist unangenehm. Sehr aufwändig produzierte Komponenten, die geschmacklich und zum Teil von der Konsistenz bis zum Sterneniveau noch angehoben werden können. Drinks und Weine in unterschiedlichem Niveau. Moderner Service mit mehreren Servicekräften und unterschiedlichem Sprachvermögen. Der beschrittene Weg wird sicher weitere Früchte tragen. Viel Erfolg.

Das war absolute Spitzenklasse! Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service haben einfach nur Spaß gemacht. Super stimmige Weinbegleitung und jede kleine Komponente perfekt durchdacht. Unser absoluter Favorit war die Hühnerbrühe… was zur Hölle war das?! Wir kommen wieder!

Mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant in Berlin. Man sitzt wunderschön drinnen und draußen, der Service ist ultra aufmerksam und freundlich. Und das Essen - einfach Perfektion. Egal, ob mit Freunden oder den Eltern, hier kann man mit jedem essen gehen. Ein wirkliches Kleinod!

One of the best fine dinning experiences we’ve ever tried

I feel like I am not qualified to write a review about this place because I feel that you need to be a food critic to properly describe the experience. I am far from that but I always felt I needed to have a better rating on Google (although, it probably doesn't need it.) I have been here 2 times and both times it felt like I was taken away on a culinary journey of gastronomic science. On both occasions we had the 6 course meal with the wine pairings. Our server, on both occasions, was so knowledgable about the every detail of the food and the wine. She told the story of each course and each wine pairing so elegantly. It is very expensive but if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, you surely won't be disappointed.

Tolles Menü in hoher geschmacklicher Qualität. Angenehmes und entspanntes Ambiente. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

No orange wine by the glass, but 7 orange wines by the bottle

Exzellentes Essen mit spannender Getränkenegleitung und sehr gutem Service. Auch auf spezielle Anforderungen wie zB eine glutenfreie Version des Menüs wird flexibel eingegangen. Wir waren wieder begeistert.

Großartige Neuentdeckung. Sehr freundlicher Service, sehr gut abgestimmte Getränkebegleitung und sterneverdächtiges Menü. Die Küche hat einige Highlights zu bieten und das Menü kommt zu Schluss geschickt zum Höhepunkt. Selten, dass Desserts so grandios abschließen!

Das war ein toller Abend mit richtig guter sternewürdiger Küche. Sehr phantasievoll, aromatisch, einfach lecker. Dazu eine interessante und passende Weinbegleitung. Schlichte Eleganz der Einrichtung. Sehr guter, aufmerksamer Service, freundlich und nicht herablassend bei Nachfragen…Prei-Leistung angemessen, wir kommen wieder.

Ich war sehr enttäuscht, denn ich hatte mehr erwartet. Wir waren mit mehreren Personen zum Brunch verabredet. Es sollte was Besonderes sein. Die Portionen waren sehr klein. Mehrere Personen mussten sich die auf kleinen Tellern verteilten Speisen teilen, die von der Menge her eher für zwei Personen gerade ausreichend gewesen wären. Jeder bekam eine Scheibe Brot. Dazu gab es für acht Leute insgesamt zwei kleine Gläschen mit Marmelade und Butter. Wohlgemerkt für alle gemeinsam. Am Schluß gab es jeweils eine Kugel Eis zum Teilen für zwei Personen. Und zwar auf nur einem Tellerchen! Das sollte wohl das Ende der Pandemie einleiten! Aber wenn man in nichtfamiliärer Konstellation kommt, so möchte man lieber seinen eigenen Teller für seine halbe Kugel Eis! Ich komme jedenfalls nicht wieder! Ich glaube der Erfolg und die hochlobende Kritik ist dem Team zu Kopf gestiegen! Hohe Preis für schlechte Performance!

Wir waren dort zu 13:30 zu einem (BR)Lunch zu siebt verabredet. Als roter Faden durch den gesamten (BR)Lunch zog sich eine offensichtlich gewollte Verknappung der angebotenen Speisen. Bei allen Gängen mit Ausnahme der verlorenen Eier bekamen wir für die 7 Personen 3 bis maximal 4 kleinen Portionen auf 3-4 Tellerchen verteilt; beim letzten Gang, Sauerrahmeis, mussten jeweils 2 Personen aus dem selben Teller essen. Auf die Bitte, etwas Brot nachgereicht zu bekommen, bekamen wir 3 Scheiben für 7 Personen. Die angebotene Mengen von Marmelade und Butter wären für 2 Personen ausreichend gewesen, nicht aber für 7! Die Qualität des Essens konnte meistens die verbalen ausschmückenden Beschreibungen nicht erreichen. Da wir in einer familiären Konstellation dort waren, waren wir zwar alle irritiert, haben uns aber über diese Gesamtkonstellation eher amüsiert. Aber die Vorstellung, dort im Zusammenhang mit einer offiziellen Einladung mit wichtigen aber nicht familiär bekannten Menschen an einem Tisch zu sitzen, hätte ich als sehr peinlich empfunden.
